About two years in, and it's become apparent that Steve DeColt was a Trojan Horse all along. All DeColts remain on the roster, while David Stone is the only member of the Stone family remaining.

 

The very final blow to the Stone family legacy is the product changing from a balanced product and to a classic sports entertainment product. It's pretty immersive stuff, honestly.

Just browsing through the cards on a RTG and the Main Event knocked me for a double take. AA vs 40yr old Petr Novak managed a 95??? A deep dive shows that The Syndicate? Gone - repaced by Hawkins new faction - The Sector, consisting of himself, Novak and Benny Nenson.

 

 

 

 

Aaron Andrews being the best wrestler in the world tends to help but TCW's roster is STACKED. Matthew's come back to the states to help Greg, everything Chord touches is gold, Hawkins didn;t leave, they've scoped up some of the best young talent from the indies (Callum, Keenan, Wolfsbane, Fernandes). Hell even a nearly year long Troy Tornado World title reign hasn't slowed them down.

I really don't know what the real reason is tbh. Canada has doing well. I guess it's the Medium size and their roster with very expensive salaries. Yet TCW, SWF and USPW are doing awesome.</p>

In my own custom database (sorry, you won't recognise the names), I just had the same veteran take two brothers under his wing as proteges. I don't know if there's a game mechanic at play, or if it was just luck, but the older brother was taken on first, then a month or two later the younger brother. I thought it was quite an immersive and interesting little nugget.

I would guess that the decrease in ppv income from a few patches ago is probably playing a role in this. . They are bleeding money in my game as well. . It's kinda odd they don't cull some of the roster to drop their costs. . They definitely seem to drop their production values to combat it but it's inevitable that they lose money with what they are spending on talent.

That's pretty much what happened in my game and they're CWA are in the same level of debt. PPV earnings went from $1m+ to around $100k. There might need to be some additional balancing because what's supposed to be a powerhouse promotion is tanking FAST.

Well, in my game, CWA is actually acting very smart.

He was making $93,300 a month with 25% merch cut and travel cover.

 

Once he moves on, he'll be making $130,360 a month with 35% merch cut and creative control.

 

Given their financial situation (they have less than $1.6 million left), there's no way they could've matched that offer. Let Sean go to America to spend his final days before retirement.

So, for at least the second game, EILL gave OLLIE a developmental deal, then OLLIE ended it after a few months (I noticed that EILL didn't actually ever send them anyone to develop). The funny thing is, EILL has a hostile view of OLLIE, but OLLIE still has a positive view of EILL! "LOL, you mad, bro?"

I sniped Alicia Strong and Raven Nightfall from USPW (and bid up the price and made them overpay for Glorious Gloria - she has creative control in USPW now ) and they haven't even tried to sign anyone to replace them. The talent is out there (heck, Katya would be a great signing) but I have everyone with two X chromosomes on my shortlist and I haven't heard a peep.

Had a few in various saves I'm running but the notable ones are Tommy Cornell signing for SWF, while not major in game mechanics sense it's interesting to see from a lore perspective that the guy who ran a company head to head against Eisen and the SWF would join them.

 

Two separate instances with Jaime Quine, on one save she got praised for spreading positive vibes about body image, and on a different save one where she got heat for taking shots at "out of shape wrestlers" that got her into a negative relationship with Gorgon. Again not too exciting but cool to see how each save can be different.

 

Finally got one on my RIPW save where Vicki Company announced her pregnancy in May, gave birth in November and then got busted cheating on Mark Misery, leading to a divorce, with Phillip Cooper. Immediately made me question if who the father of the newborn was.

The only bidding war I've seen so far has been for Tommy Cornell and 21CW beat USPW and SWF with a bid of $145,310 per month on a 4 year deal with the big goodies (CC and a 45% cut of merch). Well, real bidding war. CWA didn't even TRY to keep Sean McFly when TCW came calling.

Nothing major, except that I created myself and my fiancee (who is indonesian) in the standard cornellverse. Story is that we founded a small promotion and she is scouting for talent in Indonesia and bringing them to Canada. Where it made me smile (and wish it was true!) is that we got the happy news in-game that she was expecting a child and would go on a maternity leave.
