Total Combat Wrestling: It's time to win the war!

Recommended Posts

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Sunday, week 3 of December 2019</span></strong></p><p>

<strong><em>At the BriCo Headquarters in San Antonio</em></strong></p><p><strong><em>

</em></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>I took a sip of my water glass. I managed to explain everything well and never lost my temper even when some of these jerks kept interrupting me. Thank god for anger management therapy. I felt confident but this wasn’t over yet. The “boss” had remained silent and I knew he still had one final question for me. He sat at the other end of the table listening to one of his goons as he scribbled down something on a notebook. Then he stopped and looked at me. Here it comes.</em></p><p> </p><p>

-We cannot deny that you bring some interesting ideas… but maybe they’re a bit too much. You have never worked for neither BriCo or TCW, hell, you have never worked on the US before… and you want to take the position of CEO out of the blue and even propose a name change for the promotion. Tell me, why should we trust you with so much? Because there is also the fact that… you failed on your last job as a wrestling promoter. So why should we hire you?</p><p> </p><p>

<em>I knew that was coming. A few months ago, this statement would drive me crazy. I would’ve probably flipped out… but that is in the past. Besides, I can’t waste this chance. So I take a deep breath. And I smile.</em></p><p> </p><p>

-Well you see mister Brickell I don’t see how I failed on my last job… I went face to face with one of the biggest promotions in the world, one that your company even was afraid of, and I held my ground for eight years even when I had to deal with a backstabbing family. Despite what everybody said I built new stars, stars that are now main eventing big cards up north. If it wasn’t for my brothers, I’d still be there putting up a fight and eventually I would have won. I know this. And going back to TCW well I think what you guys need the most right now is to survive. Am I wrong? You have lost your golden boy, ratings are going down and if popularity keeps dropping maybe some of your remaining big names will leave too. I know how to deal with wars. It’s in my blood. So if you make me CEO I will not only resist USPW and SWF but I will eventually win this. Because for me this isn’t just a job. For me wrestling is my life. Is my only remaining family. For me wrestling is personal. So I know I have what it takes to make this company great again. I know I can do what Cornell failed to do. Besides I’ve got money to invest and let’s face it, with Kyle wanting to drop the book you don’t have many other options on the roster. Joel, Brent and Robert don’t want to deal with politics, they’re pure wrestlers. So as I see it right now you have no better choice. Unless you want to sell all this to Packer and admit BriCo has failed.</p><p> </p><p>

<em>The room went silent. Mister Brickell stared at me and I stared back. And after some seconds… he smiled.</em></p><p> </p><p>

-Very well. You have passion. It reminds me of myself. You have the job. Welcome to Total Championship Wrestling, Mister DeColt.</p><p> </p><p>

-Thank you, sir. I promise you won’t be disappointed. But remember… it’s Total Combat Wrestling now. </p><p> </p><p>

<em>We shook hands and proceed to sign the documents. This is it. It’s my moment. To finally get revenge. To finally end the war…</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="Jud9tAB.jpg?1" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Jud9tAB.jpg?1" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Ib4PKBV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ib4PKBV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Alex DeColt new CEO of Total Combat Wrestling</strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

<em><span style="font-size:8px;">*So hey guys this is my shot at making a dynasty. Hopefully it'll go well. I couldn't resist Kamchatka's TCW logo and I started thinking of scenarios to make the change in a game and I came up with this crazy idea. Sorry if my english is kinda bad as it's not my native language. Hope you like it!</span></em></p>

This was a very nice start!! Someone else said 'Nailed the characterisation' and that is right. You handled Alex perfectly.

I found myself agreeing with him too in a way. Sure, he fell out with a few guys over the years, but he DID build stars that are now Main Eventing in CWA.

Maybe they wouldn't credit him with their rise to stardom. But he would definitely look at it that HE made them!

Nice job, I'll be following.

BREAKING NEWS: DeColt in charge of TCW

Monday, Week 4 2019

So just as last year (with the forming of CWA) we end this year with some BIG news… that also involve the name DeColt. Today on a press conference held at BriCo’s headquarters it was confirmed, after months of speculation, that Kyle Rhodes had resigned as CEO of TCW (although he said he will continue as an announcer) and it was confirmed that his replacement would be none other than the former owner of Canadian Golden Combat: Alex DeColt. They also said the company would change name and as of January 1st it will be known as “Total Combat Wrestling”.

The news shocked every journalist present as nobody expected the eldest son of George DeColt to be the one appointed (many speculations led to Brent Hill or Robert Oxford) especially after he disappeared from the public eye after he relinquished the power of CGC to his brothers.

Alex said that he was very excited for this new chance, that he thinks TCW has a lot of potential and that he thinks with the available talent he will be able to “win the war” and take the promotion to the top. He didn’t answer any questions as he said he is preparing for the debut of the new TCW this following Tuesday. He also stated that he will be appearing on the show.

TEW.com tried to reach the other DeColt’s for comments but Jack and Ricky declined, and Steve only said: “Why should I care about what that crazy a****le does?” More as it develops.

More news regarding TCW’s new CEO

Friday, Week 4 2019

We have learned from a confidential source within TCW that yesterday Alex DeColt had a meeting with all the talent. He explained that he’d also be assuming as head booker of the promotion but that he has formed a special creative team involving former booker Brent Hill, Robert Oxford, Joel Bryant and Jasmine Saunders. DeColt talked about giving new opportunities and he mentioned bringing back some titles and introducing some new ones to try and give everyone something relevant to do instead of just showing up for random matches.

Finally our source confirmed that although there was some concerns about how DeColt would deal with roster members Edd Stone and Nathan Jones (who left CGC in the midst of an infidelity scandal with the then wife of Alex’s brother Jack) it was all cleared when at the end of the meeting Alex talked privately to both men to make sure there were no hard feelings and he even joked about him an Edd being the "true" alliance between their families.

Alex DeColt will make his official TCW debut this Tuesday and here’s the card so far for the show. Feel free to leave your predictions to participate in our weekly contest!.

Real shot in the dark here. I like Matt and Roderick. Matt has a lot of star quality. I don't see Benny or Bart as being long term players.

Killer Shark over everyone.

Love this so much. Really clever logic for it being Alex DeColt bringing CGC to TCW for why its changed to Combat Wrestling.

Thanks a lot Kam! It means a lot coming from you, you're one of my favorite creators for this community and your logos always inspire so many fun ideas for games!

Should be Nate Johnson here.

Whoops! Sorry, my bad... I must have been thinking of the GREAT Nathan Jones and mixed their names :p thanks for the heads up!

Aaaannd... here's the show!

TCW presents: TOTAL WRESTLING

Live from San Antonio, TX

mG7OA9n.jpgjoKnuaH.jpgLkEUsix.jpg

After the initial pyro and music the show opens with the broadcast team where we see the debut of Remmington Remus as lead play by play announcer accompanied by Jasmine Saunders and Kyle Rhodes. They talk about all the new changes in TCW and about how excited they are to hear from the new boss Alex DeColt

Jud9tAB.jpg?1

DeColt cuts a promo where he talks about his new opportunity and about the changes in TCW. He says that the “combat” is to honor his family legacy and also a way to get the attention on the vibrant in ring action that has always defined TCW. He announces that at Malice in Wonderland the All-Action title will return but he is still deciding on who will be the contenders for it, so that’s why he made the fatal four way for tonight and that also the TCW Women’s title will be crowned at that same PPV and that there will be an eight woman tournament starting next week.

bqjYq9D.jpgtth4rsM.jpg?1suH0cEk.jpgKn3VXzl.jpgsYHIQDY.jpg2GU38nc.jpg

He then calls out champion Aaron Andrews to talk about tonight’s main event. Andrews comes out but then he is interrupted by The Syndicate. Wolf Hawkins says that if Andrews is done playing with nobodies he can accept his challenge… tonight but before the champ can respond they are interrupted by Jay Chord who says that he is the future of the company, Chord is cut down by Sammy Bach who also wants a shot and then Joshua Taylor and One Man Army also appear.

DeColt puts some order in and says that the he is the one who makes the decisions. He says that Taylor already lost his chance and if he wants one back he already has a match with OMA tonight. Then he proceeds to make the main event a tag team match between Aaron Andrews and Sammy Bach against Wolf Hawkins and Jay Chord.

FATAL FOUR WAY MATCH

aMroTLB.jpga6CmZk3.jpgPLK0NmO.jpgS6TbU7D.jpg

Matt Hocking vs. Bart Biggins vs. Benny Benson vs. Roderick Remus

In a great opener Matt Hocking pinned Bart Biggins with a Hock Shock while Remus and Benson fought outside the ring. Hocking celebrates and makes a belt motion while posing on the top turnbuckle.

Rating: 61

SINGLES MATCH

ZFwucl4.jpgTzFHdy4.jpg

Mighty Mo (with Tana the Mighty) vs. Killer Shark (with Titan)

In a short and intense brawl Mighty Mo pinned Killer Shark with the Plunging Spinebuster.

Rating: 63

After the match Titan attacked Mo, Tana tried to defend his partner but Nick Booth and Eddie Peak came from the crowd and Sinner’s Society beat up the babyfaces.

TAG TEAM MATCH

I1RpiVh.jpgIWw51XI.jpgsQBOB7i.jpgJPeztFC.jpg

The Elite (Eddie Chandler and Nate Johnson) vs. Devine Fortune (Chance Fortune and Darryl Devine)

In a good match The Elite defeated Devine Fortune when Nate Johnson pinned Darryl Devine after a Natural Order. Chris Flynn kept distracting the face team and prevented a pinfall y pulling Fortune outside of the ring.

Rating: 61

Jud9tAB.jpg?1r0gPifl.jpg7lOL1oI.jpg

We now go backstage where Alex DeColt is walking and he stumbles upon Edd Stone and Vita. Stone greets his new boss and says he hopes their family rivalry isn’t a problem for them to get along. Alex says he actually likes Edd because he had the guts to choose his own path and because he actually has a personality unlike the rest of his family. Alex says he likes Edd so much he’s going to give him a chance to prove himself… right now as he’ll be the third man on the TV title match. DeColt leaves and Edd tells Vita he isn’t sure if the boss likes him or not.

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH FOR THE TCW TELEVISION TITLE

UsLhiCS.jpgWp6SFte.jpgr0gPifl.jpg

Greg Gauge © vs. T-Bone Bright vs. Edd Stone (with Vita)

In a really entertaining match Gauge retains his belt by pinning T-Bone. The ending saw Stone connect the “Party’s Over” to Bright but Gauge quickly threw him out of the ring and stole the victory.

Rating: 69

After the match the champion asks for a mic and sends a message to Benson and Foxx saying that he is still angry about being defeated on that tag match at the last PPV so he wants either of them to come and face him one on one for his title.

SINGLES MATCH

sYHIQDY.jpg2GU38nc.jpg

Joshua Taylor vs. One Man Army

In a decent match Taylor managed to score a flash pinfall against One Man Army while he was distracted arguing with the ref. Taylor quickly left the ring with a smirk on his face.

Rating: 61

A0UB2JK.jpgU94kDuh.jpgvPwGnBL.jpg

Next we had the “House of Huggins” segment hosted by Freddy and Laura. They invite Troy Tornado as a guest. Freddy first talks about how he always admired Troy and even rooted for him to become a world champ on TCW but then he says that now it’s clear that he’ll never be more than a B player and that maybe he should already consider retirement before he breaks himself again. Tornado then attacks Huggins and walks away.

MAIN EVENT: TAG TEAM MATCH

tth4rsM.jpg?1suH0cEk.jpgbqjYq9D.jpgKn3VXzl.jpg

Wolf Hawkins and Jay Chord (with Doc Hammond) vs. Aaron Andrews and Sammy Bach

In a great main event Aaron Andrews pinned Jay Chord to get the victory. Both teams fought well but some miscommunication between Chord and Hawkins and the fact that they couldn’t let their ego’s behind as they argued over who should get the pin turned the favor to the babyface team and after a Bach on your Back and Standing Hot Shot Andrews was able to defeat the second generation wrestler.

Rating: 73

The show went off the air with a shot of the faces celebrating on the ring.

OVERALL RATING: 72

From the journal of Alex DeColt

Jud9tAB.jpg?1

Oh it feels GREAT to be back. The show was good and apparently the guys at ACE were pleased about the ratings. Fan response was also amazing, and I think we have a bright future ahead and that makes me happy…

And you know what else makes me happy? Claudia, Ricky’s fiancée, called me before the show to wish me good luck from her and Ricky and she also said that “they were watching” that means that at least Ricky and Jack saw the show and boy I just cannot stop imagining their faces seeing Nate and Edd on the show and in prominent roles.

Personal feelings aside I am also excited to see how some of our guys will develop. Andrews and Hawkins are solid to build my shows around them but it’s guys like Chord, Gauge and Mo that seem to have a bright future that might not be so far away… The cruiserweights performed well too and I cannot wait to see the debut of my “surprise” on the PPV… and the women I’ve signed also seem promising, specially this Japanese girl, I’ll have to build her from the ground popularity wise but her skills will put Alicia Strong to shame.

I’m still not completely sold on the big guys (I’m so tired of dealing with big untalented guys from my days up north) but Bryant and Oxford seem to have faith in them, especially Shark, so I’ll give them a chance. I’m also unsure on what to do with Maverick… I like the face paint but… I see nothing more about him… maybe this is resentment about when he left us to joint NOTBPW? I suppose I should also give him some chances to see what he can bring to the table.

On a final note I should also say I STILL GOT IT! They told me my segment was one of the highest rated of the night.

Well, it was a great start, but this is just the beginning… I have still a lot of work to do around here and I better get to it.

TCW's new signings!

Friday, Week 2 2020

The TCW.com website has revealed the name of the eight participants of the Women’s tournament scheduled to start next week and crown a champion at “Malice in Wonderland” PPV. The participant wrestlers are: Suzanne Brazzle, Foxxy LaRue, Debbie Rose, Kate Lilly, Danielle Sweetheart, Alina America, Mexican luchadora Electric Dreamer and Joshi sensation Fuyuko Higa.

Also TEW.com has confirmed with a source within the promotion that the following wrestlers have been signed by TCW and sent to MAW for development: Second generation wrestler Chip Martin (son of legendary Johnny Martin), also second generation cousins Logan Wolfsbaine and James Díaz, “Prime Time” Jack Pride and indy wrestling superstar Ernest Youngman, who is expected to be just for a short time on Mid Atlantic as DeColt seems to hace a really high opinion on him. Our source also tells us that there are plans to bring some young women wrestlers from the indys but, as MAW doesn’t promote female wrestling, management is still figuring out the best way to do it.

Finally here’s the announced card for this Tuesday and, as always, predictions are more than welcome.
