BossmanLife Posted May 3, 2020 Share Posted May 3, 2020 <p>Just been using the excellent WTF 1993 mod for the first time and it got me thinking could there ever be a mod that changed the theme of the game from wrestling promotions to adult movie making promotions?</p><p> </p><p> Hear me out...</p><p> </p><p> Workers would be performers in the adult industry</p><p> </p><p> Move sets would be suitable adult movie 'moves'</p><p> </p><p> Shows would be the filming of scenes/movies - their success judged by 'fans' rating</p><p> </p><p> Broadcasters could be adapted to adult movie broadcasters</p><p> </p><p> Skills would need to be changed to suit adult movie making</p><p> </p><p> Storylines would need to be changed to suit</p><p> </p><p> Angles would need to change to suit</p><p> </p><p> Gimmicks would change to suit</p><p> </p><p> Companies would be adult movie companies each with their own roster - you could sign stars as you do in the original game</p><p> </p><p> I don't know how the AI of the News feature could be adapted or other wrestler in game features</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Finance and game basics such as growth, financial success would all stay in tact and reputation would still be the motivator to play and create the most successful and rich adult movie making company in the world</p><p> </p><p> Just a brain fart guys,,, I am into day 2 of ever playing TEW 2016 and I'm blown away by it</p> Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You're correct, the texts themselves cannot be edited at all since its built right into the software or whatever. That being said, you can sort of mimick an adult film company itself, but it would obviously be under the pretext of a wrestling company. If the product has high Risque and High T&A levels, then I guess you can "will" yourself into it being such a company. Match types can be Eye Candy based as well. BossmanLife Posted May 5, 2020 Author Share Posted May 5, 2020 Well I have done a prototype and run it... the matches totally don't fit with the theme at all but then that's because it's a wrestling simulation designed to be a wrestling simulation for wrestling simulation enthusiasts It is also because Moves don't really matter and all you get is an outcome of the match which is an F- and the commentary which just places everything in the context of wrestling with a few mention of Moves. What happens in the actual Match itself appears to be irrelevant/largely hidden and that was the aspect I hoped would be the anchor - also the changes you ask the Road Manager to implement are obviously strongly wrestling-based with no relevance to this concept I am sure I remember I once saw this game before with the actual match playing out live and you could choose moves? Maybe that was Wrestling Spirit? As far as I can tell, Move Sets don't really impact either The out of ring News was surprisingly functional and actually made sense in the context of adult entertainment.. as were Scandals and of course creating Companies, Broadcasters, Live Shows and Workers - oh and adult stars do still turn up too wasted to perform sometimes dependent on Lifestyle settings,annoying their fellow colleagues. Locations could also be set but have minimum impact If Grey Dog Software would be kind enough to overhaul their coding for me it might have legs but at present TEW 2016 remains very much a wrestling game and a great one at that Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
