Wonk Posted May 7, 2020 Share Posted May 7, 2020 Wonk's Indian Expansion Hi all. As part of learning to render, I wanted to try to create something useful. I have created a mini-mod of 30 new wrestlers which can be easily imported into your database, which will help flesh out the area. Each wrestler has his own character, bio, stats etc. I am no modder - the stats are all done using the generator built into the editor, with only minor tweaking from myself. I know little about balancing and long-term games. I just wanted people to have something ready to kick-start a small Indian game if they so wished. I hope someone finds them useful. I am very open to feedback and tweaking - just get in touch. Below is the mini-mod with the images named to the workers, but also a file which follows the CVFP_Indianmale naming convention which SHOULD allow you to just drop it into your pictures folder. In the event there's a later uodate adding more pictures to the Cornellverse you won't have to worry about any confusion. This is absolutely great, though, and exactly what the community needs. I have contacted Adam though and he says no further pictures are being planned, so the numbering should be okay. I'll be vigilant though and change it up if he changes his mind. Tried dropping them in and they don't show up in the database list, Tried making a mod and adding them that way but they don't show up for import. I'm not sure what else to try. Are there any more such India specific mods/expansions floating around that anybody knows of already? Already in the middle of a game that I started in India and I think that area in the game is just so ignored. It needs a ton of work. Came on the forums with suggestions and looking for ideas on what can be done. This post was inspiring and you may have just given me a direction. Being from India, I think I know the real history of wrestling as a sport here as well as that of related economy and key locations. I can also come up with a cartoonish CVerse expansion based off the real thing that will hopefully not be full of stereotypes or anything offensive to somebody from India. Thanks for this. I will get back with a review and if you need any help with it, I am up for it. Now I just need some directions on how to get started creating your own mod or tweaking the in game database. I have downloaded your mod along with this mod from Wonk and will be starting a game with both mods combined. I plan to first run through the worker personalities (bio, background, character, names - all cosmetic stuff) and tally that with their in ring gimmick abilities, skill rating, backstage behaviour etc. For me that will be a major focus in my feedback. Hope that isn't a problem? I just believe that the characters although C-Verse style cartoonish still need to have a believable personality that gives the vibes of the area they originate from in the game.
