Nightshadeex
It looks like there might not be a way to do this. Players may have to edit manually when RIPW debuts if they want this relationship. I think you may be right. I'm doing some debut popularity checks. Vast majority are fine, but there will be some changes in the next update. Nightshadeex
I think the schedule types need to be not set as Fixed. SWF is Tiny because it wasn't running enough events. Haahaha. I bet they lost their TV deal.

Nightshadeex
Love that you added storylines to this. Thank you. The AI kills them all right away, but at least the user has a start for everything!
Nightshadeex
I just realized that BSC won't work correctly, because Honey Golightly won't open a company until she is 40. You will have to fix that manually in the editor until the next update. I also fixed tournament titles, which weren't set to be defended at their respective events. Nightshadeex
Broadcasters need some fixing from what I'm noticing. I ported them over, but there have been changes in how they function, so it's extra impossible for the AI to get TV. I'm going to update them and then update the release. Nightshadeex
Aw! I started a save with this that I really don't want to abandon. Is it possible for you to give me a quick idea of what I should look at if I want to tweak broadcasters in the in-game editor? I know, me too. The minimum requirements needed to be altered for basically all of them. Coverage for some of the multi game area broadcasters have been retconned. Broadcaster type for internet didn't always port over correctly. I knew that broadcasters weren't totally right, but I didn't look into it too hard because they "looked alright, I guess". Then actually playing the data further showed me how wrong I was. I'm not going to lie, I want to do a huge broadcaster overhaul, but that would take a lot of planning. Same thing with the locations file. It's a good start, but I would put a little more variety in it. Will I probably do it? Yes. When will I probably do it? That I don't know. a0161613
So I got a DB error where the TCW broadcasting deals clashed. Easily ixed by deleting the second one. Assume that makes sense?
Nightshadeex
I must have messed something up. I'll look into it tonight.
MainOffender
I ran a bunch of tests on this yesterday to try to keep the big companies from losing their TV deals so frequently. (You may have fixed this in 1.11 -- I was already in the weeds by the time I noticed you posted so haven't updated. Maybe this was all a waste of my time! Oh well!) I've gotten it to the point where after two years the big powers have all maintained their TV deals, except for SWF who stupidly ran a bunch of shows in the UK that got them canceled in the US. (I think that's something that should be addressed by Adam because it's not possible for players to fix.) Maybe some of what I did will be useful to you. Anyway, the CVerse networks in the Default data are kind of a mess. There are way, way too many Terrestrial Commercial (higher expectations) networks and hardly any Cable Commercial (lower expectations). So, the first thing I did was reclassify a lot of the networks. The region/pop requirements on the Default networks are also out of wack and haven't really been updated to take into account the way popularity works now. I didn't fully overhaul these but rather tweaked a few to give companies in different countries viable paths onto TV. Another thing that was screwing up TV deals were the Broadcaster Styles. The AI is very picky about that in 20 and won't renegotiate with companies that don't suit their style -- this was a big problem in particular for NOTBPW (who were on a Mainstream broadcaster) and CGC (who were on a Sports broadcaster). Here's the log of the changes I made if you're interested: Switched a number of broadcasters from Terrestrial Commercial to Cable Commercial. (Sorry I didn't actually keep track of this as at the time I didn't think I'd be sharing and was just tooling around.) Deleted TCW on East Coast Today. Switched TCW to America Sports One. Switched SWF to C.A.N.N. with an Evening time slot. Switched CGC's deal to CBN. Switched NOTBPW to Maple Leaf Sports. Changed UCR's product to Classic Balanced. (No Style seems like a product meant for players, not the AI. It was making it hard for them to stay on TV.) Switched America Sports 1 to All Sports. Upgraded to Pro wrestling stance. Switched Japanese Sports Vision to All Sports. Reduced minimum size to Medium. Reduced to 60 pop in 6 regions. Reduced National Pride TV to 20 pop in 8 regions. Reduced Maple Leaf Sports to 30 pop in 6 regions. Reduced CBN to 35 in 7. Made Highly Pro wrestling stance. Reduced North America Prime Select to 55 in 15. Reduced C.A.N.N. to 45 in 15 regions. Made Highly Pro on wrestling. Mainstream focus. Changed MySelect USA to 35 pop in 3. Changed UK-1 to 59x1. Changed America Option to accept Small companies at 59x1. I also did these Production changes for companies as their TV deals demanded them anyway: Upgraded BHO to Major Licensed Music. Upgraded NOTBPW to In House broadcast quality and Licensed Music. Upgraded CGC to In House BQ. Upgraded SWF to Major Licensed music. Upgraded DAVE to Pro production values, In House BQ, and Licensed music. Upgraded PGHW to High Quality production values and Major Licensed music. Upgraded GCG to Hired Pro BQ and In House music. Upgraded UCR to In House BQ. And a few small tweaks to company schedules (some of this is my personal preference, some of these were set as Fixed with no Events so never ran shows). Put ARW on Monthly schedule Put Hinote on Created Tours schedule Put MOSC on Almost Weekly Put INSPIRE on Created Tours Set YTD company schedules to Monthly or Created Tours (Japan). Here's the data if you want to have a look. Hope this is helpful!
Nightshadeex
Thank you for all of this, MO. I've got a plan to revamp the entire broadcaster set up. I made some of the same observations as you and I have some ideas kicking around. I just need to put them to paper, which I plan to do next, after I finish my new location file. The research is just about done on that, then I get to enter around 1000 locations. Hahahaha For 1.11, I changed the broadcasters to the default database, which is more lenient than the port from 2016.
louis1016
I am really interested in playing this mod but the main post says the mod is unbalanced. Is it unbalanced in that it isnt realistic or is game-breaking? Any plans to balance it?
Nightshadeex
I am really interested in playing this mod but the main post says the mod is unbalanced. Is it unbalanced in that it isnt realistic or is game-breaking? Any plans to balance it? I say it's unbalanced because the stats are as they were in TEW 2005, which was before Adam changed some coding. You will see a large number of 95-100 rated matches. To be fair, all the greatest wrestlers of the C-Verse are in their prime, so it's expected, but it's a warning. When all is said and done, I MAY make a more balanced version of the mod, but I'm currently working on a more robust locations (not venues) file and then I'm going to expand broadcasters. When I'm done with ALL of that, I'm going to do my other project of C-Verse 2006 (the WreSpi start). Then hopefully I can play the game for a bit. Hahahahaha All that said, give it a spin, let me know any discrepancies you may find. I'm not an expert on every area by any means, so I welcome all the help I get. seminoledozer
It looks like there might not be a way to do this. Players may have to edit manually when RIPW debuts if they want this relationship. Are you referring to requesting the relationship change or is there an in game way to edit this in the editor?

louis1016
<p>In my games I see NYCW losing money rapidly. They pay on average $30K each month for workers. This lets the companies pick new broadcasters that work correctly in the new game without all the issues with the current broadcaster deals. I just sim the first month and start playing on January 2006 and companies that should have TV shows should have them. DAVE doesn't always get a new TV deal though but they reliably always get a PPV deal. SWF and TCW do not air their Tuesday A-shows, only their Saturday night A-shows. (Or set the saturday night shows as dormant if you want the tuesday night head-to-head battle instead.)</p><p> </p><p> 2) Change debut date of RIPW to DEC 2005, create contract for RIPW and Professor Nero, make Professor Nero CEO for random length (or whatever you want), import company relationship for RIPW/SWF from default data. I think this would be nice to have in the regular mod to get around the issue of SWF not owning RIPW when it debuts even if its not canon. The debut is only about 9 months ahead of the canon debut i think so isn't really that much of a big deal.</p>

I'm going to do an offshoot where the data is more balanced as opposed to straight 2005 data. I'm working on an overhaul of the broadcasters right now, I'm hoping it fixes the issues inherent there. When I'm done with this, I'm going to forward the data to the WreSpi release, which will have RIPW debuted. I thought about it and came to the conclusion that anything can happen at this point, maybe SWF doesn't make RIPW in this timeline. Alternate C-Verse reality and all. I mean, I can't get INSPIRE to reliably work, so getting the future to do what we want is... difficult.
