Historian Posted July 15, 2020 Share Posted July 15, 2020 I would like to nominate; Willr0ck for his many contributions. He has done countless renders, he released the Rockverse, has made belts and logos, has had several excellent diaries and is about to produce a brand new Women’s Mod where he is doing all of the renders for it. King Bison for his render contributions and diaries. Bison has become one of the pillars of the tender community. He has rendered countless workers for me, he did the entire RAW roster, he released his own community sourced mods and has had multiple quality diaries. DarK_Raider for his amazing productivity on the diary boards. He has consistently put out quality projects and has juggled multiple at a time while also being an active participant/reader in several others. He has won multiple community awards and his ability to do the Urban Hardcore of GSW and the classic Puro of BCG and the bizarre of CTUC and even real world with Pro Wrestling Eve has made him one of the most versatile writers. Not without help from his wife, of course, but the writing and story quality is exceptional. Not to mention becoming an excellent pillar on the boards with a fountain of knowledge and a willingness to share and aid others with their projects (Myself included). Very active. Very supportive. Very deserving. King Bison: The productivity levels and quality of renders they produce is exceptional. I haven't explicitly asked him to create me any renders but his creations are littered all across my C-verse and they all help to give another element of live and vibrancy to the game. Shipshirt: For very similar reasons to King Bison. The quality and quantity of renders produced over the years are exceptional and my current MAW dynasty has a great number of their rerenders that always help encourage creativity and give workers new leases of life. DarK_RaideR Posted July 15, 2020 Share Posted July 15, 2020 Historian: His writing, storytelling and presentation have led to him sweeping all categories in the last 2 End of the Year awards and that alone speaks volumes. On top of that, he is happy to trade ideas, information, images, code, save games and overall be extremely helpful. And on top of that, he is very active on these forums, to the point where he took on the burden of becoming a moderator. As far as I'm concerned, he's the total package and only sure-fire nomination I just couldn't keep off my 3 picks. Speaking of that, honourable mentions to willr0ck (bunch of logos, belts, re-renders, mods and some great diaries), King Bison (for the re-renders, TITAN mod and diaries) and London (LVerse is my favourite mod). I'm sure you'll all make it to the final nominations, so I'm using my other two votes for two "underdog picks" I do feel deserve the spotlight. Voeltzwagon: If the independent wrestling scene were to ever coalesce into a diary writer, that would probably be Voeltz. Great character writing, great sense of humor, great storytelling and a bunch of amazing diaries to his name, I'm legitimately amazed he still isn't in the Hall of Fame. southside_hitmen: Great graphics, to the point where that total visual overhaul has me wanting to play promotions I otherwise wouldn't bother with like TCW or OLLIE. Some amazing diaries, with the BCG one specifically setting the standard for a lot of the ones that followed, especially in the presentation and visual sectors. Also had a brief stint doing the RW mods after Fleisch and before Questlove took over. Another underappreciated community member who deserves recognition. But I'll give it a go. Historian's activity on the board has been inspiring for me, his dynasty was the first dynasty that got me back into reading them again. His consistently positive attitude and support to alot of writers on here is admirable and to boot, he's a quality writer with consistent good shows too. <strong>Mr. Consistency</strong>!! I know I haven't been the most active in the recent five years or so but from 2005 to 2014 I was here daily so newer members might not quite recognize the name which is understandable. Reasons for the nomination being that I've been here since 2005, have done ~20 diaries over the TEW series of games and won few DOTM's in several categories. Aside from the diaries, I have edited/modded/alt'ed approximately over 10,000 images for the TEW game series over these fifteen years. I've done two ~4K .gif image mods for TEW2020 and TEW2016 + thousands upon thousands of alts for earlier versions of the game series, as well as countless Skin packs too. I'll be reaching 5K forum posts this year. It's kinda hard to nominate oneself but when I look at that list of great members of the forum I kinda feel left out, even though I know my diaries can't compare with the best of them - Angeldelayette, BigPapa42, Eisen-Verse, J Silver, James Casey, NoNeck, Phantom Stranger, Self, Tigerkinney and countless others (sorry if I've forgotten, there's been so many great diaries over the fifteen years on these forums). King Bison: Not much else to say here but his work on rerendering the CVerse characters is nothing short of amazing. Extremely good work. Jaysin: He's active across multiple sections of the forum, always commenting in the threads he visits and has been a help to many of us for whatever reason it may be, again myself included. The HOF is not really about specifically dairy writing and has not been for years. It is more an overall board HOF now. So with your overall body of work, I would say you belong there. Also, don't sell yourself short on your diaries either. I have never been a huge fan of Japanese wrestling, but I always make it a point to check your stuff out because I know it is going to be quality work. I might not comment, because I feel I do not know enough to do so but after reading your diaries I always end up saying, "Hey maybe I should start playing as a Japanese promotion."
