Defending of mods already out is the best answer to the OP's question. "Make Your Own" isn't a realistic option to most people, it's much easier and faster to manipulate someone else's (what most do) to your (personal) liking then build one from scratch.</p>

To be fair, if op doesn't have time or motivation to make his own mod, it's very easy to mod someone else's mods to your liking.

I mean I don't play real world but haven't all of 2016 mods been brought to 2020 by now?

What I find interesting is I made the exact same comment last year as the OP when talking about fictional mods (I said good instead of decent, but is there that much of a difference bettween the two words?) and I got a warning and I was told what I said was a slap in the face to fictional mod makers.

I wonder why no site mods are saying that now. Maybe it is once again a case of rules applying to some posters and not others which I find is often the case on this site. I am not saying I want the OP to get a warrning or anything like that because I do not think what they said warrants one, I just would like the mods on this site to have a little consistency.

In regards to what the OP said, I would say this. It takes a long time to make mods, especially if you are doing it by yourself and you are not building it off another previously made mod. Also, mod makers are doing this in their free time for free so one can hardly blame them for not putting anything out yet.

I have yet to check out any Real World mods that have been put out thus far so I have no clue as to what mods are out. But I am sure there are some good mods out that are new or have been updated from TEW16.

Oh no, you got a warning on an internet forum.

What stops a person from making their own mod:

1. Patience

2. Research

3. Skill

4. Knowledge

5. Perfectionism

6. Feeling overwhelmed

Understood, but you can't criticize the work of people who ARE willing to take time out of their lives to make these mods. They don't have to do it. The game is perfectly playable without them.

One day, these people may decide not to make mods at all if they're not appreciated.

If you read carefully what I posted

I am not criticising the work of people.

If I am critising anybody its Adam and now dont kill me for it

My idea was that he should work better with the mod makers I am not a minority here I am pretty sure atleast 50 or more play only real world mods

I have bought every single game Adam has released and I have neve rplayed Cverse and probably never will

Maybe I miss that there are no mods in the time period of 1998-2010 that are finished. The only one thats close enough is Ruthless Aggression who should be the first one thats near complete.

Some of the biggest modders here were complaining that the tools are not great etc.

I stopped watching wrestling 10 years ago so I cant play anything after 2010 since most of my boys are out of their prime

I am just saying that the mod scene is not what it used to be and most of the best mods from 2016 are not converted and no tplayable. If they are converted you need to edit everything yourself to be able to play

As I stated I believe those people should been encouraged and maybe compensated with Patreon or some kind a financial fee from the developer

I cant remember when was the last time this has happened?

I would caution you to watch your phraseology. Your thread title -- whether intentional or not, is insulting to the people who have worked incredibly hard to make mods that many community members can enjoy.

You are free to offer criticism, you are also free to think that a mod hasn't been released yet that you enjoy. You are free to think that Adam should open the editor up earlier to mod makers to be able to start modding sooner. Those are valid opinions, but you probably want to watch the delivery of your opinion -- particularly in the title of the thread.

While we are a web community, rule number one is to be respectful, even when we don't like something or disagree with something, or wanting to change. Keep that in mind.

The title of your posts states "still no decent mod"........ ??

All about opinion I guess, but if you don't like 'em, don't play 'em. Play C-verse or make your own.

I can't remember which famous author it was. It may have been Stephen King....he didn't think there was any decent horror fiction around, so he wrote his own......

This. I've 'modded' by own C-verse. Added a few companies, bumped up the worker count and a few other things and really enjoy it. After all it's a/the game

If I am doing any other mod, I would definitely go down the fantasy route. Much more fun to me

Yes! so much more freedom and Creativity with Fantasy Mods but C-Verse is all that I've been playing.

The entitlement here is baffling, it took 3 pages for it to boil down to "why aren't people making mods on the years I like!?" rather than the there are no decent mods at all for the game.

If you want to encourage people, then maybe don't start by dismissing what people have already sunk hours and hours into working on.

It would be cool if a group of people got together again & made a supermod.

I don't believe I was really around for the Hive, but I sure did spend plenty of time playing those mods. Genadi had some great stuff as well..... Really wish those would get ported over to 2020. I feel like 2020 needs a group of people to really work on one thing.

Seems like people don't really do that. I'm sure it's a planning nightmare.

What specific mods are you looking to play? From the sounds of it, you've missed some that have been released. I have a 1995, 1996, 2004, 2005, 2010, 2016 and current day mod installed. Haven't played them all, but there are options out there. If any specifically interest you, I can link you to the download page :)

Weak sauce.

I have:

1980

1985

1991

1993

1996

1997

2002

2004

Fall of WWE

Flashpoint 2002

Flashpoint 2020

Killing the Business

Landaxx Modern Day

RealWorld Challenge

Really? You think Adam should pay people to change his product to suit you? Wow. That's a....unique perspective.

I think that the OP is a little entitled, but of all the things that he said to pick on, this is a bizarre choice.

The UI got a shellacking on release. Suggesting Adam pay another designer would be also thinking 'Adam should pay people to change his product to suit you'. Is that really 'wow'-worthy?

Literally any suggestion that involves someone with a skillset Adam doesn't have, or manpower for sale, would be the same.

I imagine it'd be impossible for legal issues, but paying people with experience of doing something that they've proven to be popular at is literally the opposite of a 'wow, unique perspective' - it's a sensible one.

I honestly like 90% of the mods that come out. While I don't play hardcore games with them, I do simulate and see how the world comes together and I don't really have any issues with it besides that the game world does get stagnant after 10 plus years of simming.

I think you can take what you want from this game. Its easy enough to work with and you can take bits of all different mods and build you own game

I am toying with the ides of doing a mash-up mod for personal use using the C-verse with a bumped up worker count, but with WWE, AEW etc and having it all start from scratch and see how it plays out.

I agree. One fun game that I'm simulating is the database that starts in 1920 and I imported the 1970 workers, promotions, and broadcasters into the game. Watching the game world develop has been a blast.
