LSW Hell Froze Over 2021
Tuesday, Week 3, December 2021
Held in Austin, TX (Mid South) in front of 1,423 people
55,051 viewers on WrestleWorld

The Hive (Quentin Queen, Remmy Honeyman) vs The Gonzalez Family (Carlos Gonzalez, Marco Gonzalez)
The opener of the night is a two-on-two between The Gonzalez Family and The Hive, who have already faced each other in the Tag Team Turmoil match last month in which Remmy Honeyman and Quentin Queen eliminated the Puerto Ricans, ruining their debut in the Mid South. In a bout that has sub-par wrestling and little heat, The Gonzalez Family find the win as Carlos Gonzalez pins Remmy Honeyman with a Flat-Out after seven minutes. This match gets the show off to a strong start. [45]

Busy talking backstage, Jackpot Jordan, Jake Idol and Venus Angeletti are interrupted by Prime Time Jack Pryde, who finally - wow, that's weird to say - returns to show some character by taunting "The Inner Circle," ironically complimenting them for blowing the chance of becoming No. One Contenders in the Tag Team Turmoil match. Jake Idol and Co. are not in the mood however, convincing Jack Pryde to kick up his heels and leave before receiving an ass-kicking. All four workers do a masterful job of improvising, performing well. [50]

Outlaw Wes Revell vs Miller Fforde
Accompanied by Maverick Chip Martin and Bandit Waylon Walls, Outlaw Wes Revell takes on Miller Fforde, managed by Johnny Martin, who returns to cross paths with his son Chip Martin, albeit only at ringside. Sadly, there is only a cold, tense look between the two, with "The Maverick" now having gone full heel here in LSW. In a bout that has decent wrestling but doesn't have much heat, Outlaw Wes Revell defeats Miller Fforde in six minutes by pinfall, taking advantage of a distraction by Maverick Chip Martin. [46]

Quentin Queen and Remmy Honeyman are backstage, down in the dumps after their defeat against The Gonzalez Family, while The Oklahomans tactfully try to boost their morale, reminding The Hive that they too have so far failed to scorch their momentum. Suddendly, Ricky Dale Johnson appears on the scene alongside his assistant Mya Catalan, always with her agenda and some paperwork in her hands. The boss brings out his crueler and more cynical side, which is then the real reason why he tends more among the ranks of the heels than the babyfaces, agreeing that both The Hive and The Oklahomans have yet to succeed here in the Mid South. RDJ, however, says that Lone Star Wrestling is no place for weakness nor mediocrity, and losers have their hours counted in here! Still promising a big chance for the tag team that can show their worth, RDJ announces that soon, very soon, The Oklahomans and The Hive will be facing sliding doors for their careers in LSW. [37]

Al Coleman, Davis Wayne Newton vs Rob Reynolds, Xavi Ferrera
With the LSW Brass Knuckles title in the background, recently turned heel Al Coleman and champ Davis Wayne Newon take on former champ Rob Reynolds and debuting Xavi Ferrera in a decent tag team match. Rob Reynolds violently attacks Al Coleman in the first exchange, but after a few illicit tactics the Asian-American begins to be in trouble, while Al Coleman and Davis Wayne Newton begin to exchange several tags shutting down the hated opponent at their corner. After a while, Xavi Ferrera manages to get a hot tag, demonstrating why he calls himself a "Game Changer." However, after little more than nine minutes, Al Coleman intentionally gets disqualified while fighting his rival Rob Reynolds. The babyfaces win by DQ, but it would appear to be a Pyrrhic victory. [47] After the bell, Davis Wayne Newton joins Al Coleman in the vicious beatdown on Rob Reynolds, bound by a desire to want to hurt "The Motor City Menace." Xavi Ferrera, however, has recovered his energy at ringside and comes in, hits the ring, and cleans house, saving Rob Reynolds. [41]

The Dreadnought vs Penfold Perdition
In an abysmal match, The Dreadnought manages to defeat another huge competitor that the ownership threw at him, lifting Penfold "Big Baby" Perdition, a 410lber from Hawaii, and crashing him to the ground with his Dread Bomb after five minutes: 1 . 2 .. 3!! "Big Baby" seems quite rusty out here, while The Dreadnought seems really off his game. Only Laura Catherine Huggins does some good work at ringside. [8] Once the match is over, the female agent again praises The Dreadnought's victory, promising that the behemoth will sweep the competition and triumph in the 2022 Texan Rumble. [55]

James Prudence, The Heartbreak Express (Needham, Liotta) vs The First Impression (Raphael, Goldstein, Flash)
In a three vs. three match Raphael or James Prudence play each other for the chance to choose the stipulation for their upcoming one-on-one, depending on which trio wins. In a decent match, it's James Prudence himself who takes the W, submitting Ozzie Goldstein with a Prudential Pain Plan in around twelve minutes. The announcing quality lifts the match, and Raphael still walks out of this pretty strong in terms of booking. [46] As The First Impression faction beats a retreat and Raphael curses defeat, James Prudence thanks The Heartbreak Express in the center of the ring, before grabbing a microphone and addressing his rival directly, thrilled at the idea that very soon he will have the blessing of being able to smack his big blond head. And as for the special stipulation, well, James Prudence is sure that Raphael is not going to like it! [50]

In an angle backstage, the promising David Stone shares a talk with Ricky Dale Johnson, again accompanied by his assistant Mya Catalan. The young Canadian and RDJ do a good job working without a script, and the segment turns out to be great. The boss acknowledges David's talent, but jokes a bit that he is still wondering if he is living up to his predecessors, or if he will inevitably end up cracking under pressure. The Next Gen Star responds that he did not come here to the Mid South to make his bones, but to collect accolades, and he will prove it soon even at his boss. Ricky Dale Johnson lets out a smile, saying he likes his confidence and wants to test his words right away. In fact, David Stone will have a huge chance next month, cause he'll be in the Texan Rumble! [59]

Jared Johnson, Kip Keenan vs Left Shot, Renegade Bradley Blaze
The main event scene of Lone Star Wrestling collides in a huge tag team match, as LSW Texas Heavyweight champ Left Shot teams up with Renegade Bradley Blaze against "Double J" Jared Johnson and "The American Eagle" Kip Keenan. In terms of in-ring work, Left Shot is head and shoulder above everyone else, while Jared Johnson and Kip Keenan struggle as partners as they have zero chemistry. In a bout that has good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, the heels are able to score the W, thanks to the incorrect tactics of Bradley Blaze who uses rope leverage during a quick pinfall on Jared Johnson. Once again in a tainted way, Left Shot and "The Renegade" are victorious. [61]

After the bell, Jared Johnson and Kip Keenan do not have time to protest the illegal pinfall that they are immediately attacked from behind by The Most Wanted faction, as Outlaw Wes Revell, Maverick Chip Martin and Bandit Waylon Walls beat them down. The LSW Texas Heavyweight champ Left Shot enjoys the scene for a few moments before realizing, belatedly, that he's next! Helped also by leader Bradley Blaze, Left Shot succumbs in a four-on-one assault that leaves him down and out. Renegade Bradley Blaze then takes a microphone, promising Left Shot that he will win the 2022 Texan Rumble and challenge the champ for the title strap he's so obsessed with. And regarding Jared Johnson and Kip Keenan, "The Renegade" advises them not to show up in the Rumble if they don't want to suffer the same fate as tonight. [43]

Cali Slick vs Southern Stinger in a Last Man Standing match
After more than a year of rivalry, Cali Slick and Southern Stinger collide in a Last Man Standing, the first such gimmick match here in Lone Star Wrestling. During the match, the security guard Big Smash Clay interferes to attack Southern Stinger, but the mad vigilante then manages to dispose of him, sending the big guy down and out causing him to end up over the railings. The two competitors once again prove to have great chemistru and it shows in their performances. In a decent bout, Southern Stinger manages to win this wild brawl, knocking out even that slimy Sport Agent Vinny Cruz, who gets knocked out by a right fist by "The Stinger." In sixteen minutes, Southern Stinger defeats Cali Slick in a Last Man Standing match when "The Draw" can't beat a ten count after a Rayne Drop. An end is finally put to this historic feud, and triumphing is the mad facepainted vigilante who receives a round of applause from the audience. [54]

Although we are minutes away from the main event, we are forced to sit through a sermon by Travis Century, that preaches about how Texas Hangman and Cobra will trample over The American Cobras once again, so that The Strong Hand can snatch the LSW Tag Team titles. Guided by the holy spirit, "The Preacher" prophesies that at the end of this match his adepts will take that corrupt gold and purify it. Mad words from a mad man, but Texas Hangman and Cobra are indeed tough and very fearsome bones. [36]

TQS8hBT.png   TQS8hBT.png
The American Cobras (Malloy, Spillane) (c) vs Texas Hangman, Cobra for the LSW Tag Team titles
In a decent main event, The American Cobras and The Strong Hand adepts collide for the tag team golds. Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane get a tag team specialist bonus, and Travis Century does some good work at ringside. After twelve minutes The American Cobras fail to connect their Double Strike on Texas Hangman, and Cobra's subsequent run in puts their title reign in serious jeopardy. After trading blows, only the two legal men remain in the squared circle with Marvel Malloy being caught by the neck; the champ tries to wriggle out, but his opponent's physical superiority is unmatched. Texas Hangman lifts his opponent and slams him on the mat: CHOKE SLAM! 1 ... 2 .. 3 !! After over 200 days The American Cobras lose the belts, Texas Hangman and Cobra win the LSW Tag Team championships. [59]

Congrats to @azzak for becoming a back-to-back prediction champ 😁

I'll like to thank everyone who commented or followed the diary, and everyone who took part in the predictions game! As I said before, in the following days I'll send DM to the top 3 (maybe even 4th) ranked for rewards related to this diary.

Also, tomorrow I'm heading to Madrid for a few days so next week I'll probably post a 2021 recap, before entering 2022.

It may also be time to get some of your feedback about this, I'll think about it and possibly how to collect it.

End Of The Year Recap - 2021

2021 is in the books, and what a great year it has been for Lone Star Wrestling!

After suffering quite a loss in 2020 by closing with only $17,000, this year LSW started to make a good profit coming in to close 2021 with about $78,000. Lone Star Wrestling in now a Small company, ranked as 17th in the world. With a 41 POP in Mid South, and a 26 POP in South West, Mid West and South East, the next big step is to get a 59 popularity in our home region, plus 35 in either South East or South West. We also have a 15% of prestige and a 50% of momentum!

The 2021 MVP Of The Company was undoubtedly the current LSW Texas Heavyweight champ Left Shot - fka as Bradford Peverell - with a record of 12 wins and just 3 losses (one of which was the Texan Rumble match and the other was a tained one). It was also his best match of the year in LSW, as he defeated Kip Keenan in a championship match this November at LSW Spurs and Stripes that received a rating of 70. As for our best events, the King Of The Rodeo tournament lead the charge, as Day #1 and Day #4 (Final) has been the best two shows with a rating of 60 and 59. LSW No Place for Old Men back in March has been really solid too! Rating of 58 thanks mostly to Ernest Youngman vs Al Coleman, Rob Reynolds becoming the first Brass Knuckles champ at the expense of Left Shot, and the three way main event between champ Joffy Laine (🥲), Bradley Blaze and Texas Hangman for the Texas Heavyweight title strap.

Regarding the roster, considered as Stars or Major Stars we find Texas Heavyweight champ Left Shot, James Prudence, Renegade Bradley Blaze, "The Masterpiece" Raphael and Tag Team champ Texas Hangman. As you can see, 4 out of 5 are heels so the need for new babyfaces on top is confirmed, but between Kip Keenan, Jared Johnson and potentially David Stone I am sure 2022 can balance that out. Also, perhaps a babyface turn by one of the top heels of the promotion would be in order.

Kip Keenan, and rivals Al Coleman and Rob Reynolds are the only one Well Known among the singles competitors, while among the Recognisables we find a lot of people! As babyfaces we have Southern Stinger, who despite being here for two years is still quite stuck in there as for his POP, Jared Johnso, Miller Fforde, David Stone and Xavi Ferrera; while as heels we have Tag Team champ Cobra, "The Draw" Cali Slick, Outlaw Wes Revell and Bandit Waylon Walls, and imposing The Dreadnought.

Still Unimportant we have Cruz security guard Big Smash Clay (a newgen), Brass Knuckles champ Davis Wayne Newton - who should easily become Recognisable soon at least, Maverick Chip Martin, Prime Time Jack Pryde, and Tavon Blake Jr - rarely used lately.

Regarding the tag team division, former champs The American Cobras are Well Known, while Rich & Famous, The Heartbreak Express, The Canadian Blondes are at least Recognisables. Considered Unimportant we have The Hive, The Oklahomans, The Hot Taggs and recently introduced The Gonzalez Family.

However, we have quality on-screen personalities and managers such as Ricky Dale Johnson, Vinny Cruz, Travis Century and Laura Catherine Huggins who consistently help the ratings in which they are featured.

As for the CVerse, TCW is white hot and won the 2021 Company Of The Year award for their first time in history. Wolf Hawkins was named 2021 Wrestler Of The Year for his performances over the past twelve months, with an Average Rating of 92. The San Antonio promotion also won 2021 Show Of the Year as TCW Hotter Than Hell had a Show Rating of 95. Apparently EILL luchadores tore the house down back in July on their weekly TV show, as Gino Montero, El Mitico, El Leon vs El Heroe Mexicano, Masked Lightning received a Rating of 100 and won 2021 Match Of The year. Don't ask me how, Left Shot - aka Bradford Peverell - didn't make the Power 500, the highest ranked LSW wrestler is Jared Johnson, in 208th position mainly because of the work he did in CWA before the bankruptcy.

Please let me know if you have some curiosity or question to ask ;) Also, next step is probably asking you for some feedback on this diary after two in-game years!

Hi everybody! I thought about asking you some questions about this diary, it shouldn’t take long and may be very helpful ;) hope some of you will respond to it! Thx in advance

  1. LSW's core product is Classic Southern Rasslin, an old school approach that focuses on in-ring psychology and the logic of the protagonists' actions. Do you find this premise in reading the shows

  2. What do you think of the rivalries featured in LSW? Do you find them logical and easily understandable? Do you think they are too simple?

  3. In these first two years, which rivalry or story did you like the most?

  4. As the months and years go by, do you find it difficult to keep up with what is happening in LSW?

  5. Who do you think has been the most interesting wrestler/tag team in this diary so far?

  6. Who do you think has been the least interesting wrestler/tag team so far?

  7. What do you think about the length of events cards Previews? Would you prefer really short previews?

  8. What do you think about the length of the Shows?

  9. Is there anything in particular that you would like to see in LSW? Do you have any extra advice?

  10. From 1 to 5 what grade would you give this diary so far?

1. I think so. I'm not the best of telling style difference, but your description tracks with how I've read the diary

2. All are pretty solid. All are pretty easy to understand. I'd say the occasional one drags on too long as they hit a point of having matches without really moving forward.

3. Left Shot vs. Big Hustle was a favourite of the early days, but currently Southern Stinger vs. Cali Slick has possibly overtaken it as a rivalry that evolved really well

4. No, I think I generally understandable.

5. Left Shot was probably one of your best characters in the early days. Jack Pryde has also been really good and I always back The Hive as a fun undercard team. Strong Hand and Most Wanted aren't my favourites but have also been quite fun.

6. American Cobras. For the whole time they were tag team champions I can't think of a single feud they have had during the reign. They kind of just disappeared for long stretches.

7. I don't mind either way. Both have their benefits and for the most part it's more about how much you want to write.

8. Pretty happy with the length of shows.

9. Nothing I can really think of

10. Going with 4. It's a really solid diary, that I've enjoyed reading and is growing well.

1. I see the focus on in-ring psychology. About the logic of protagonists, sometimes I've had problems with the face/heel divide which I don't know if it's a classic thing, I tend to think that's more of a modern approach but I'm not sure about this.

2. The only problems with this that I found are related to the first question.

3. Kip Keenan vs Left Shot is one that comes to my mind. It's a natural rivalry that has a previous story and it had a great development.

4. No problems related to this.

5. Right now Southern Stinger hands down. In the history of the diary Bradley Blaze and The Most Wanted in general have been outstanding, as well as Left Shot Bradford. Another one is Kip Keenan.

6. The Canadian Blondes and Jake Idol.

7. No preference.

8. I like the length of the shows.

9. A little bit more emphasis on the local status of the Texan wrestlers and also close states like The Oklahomans. More focus on the reaction they get from the local crowd. Expansion to close areas has been hinted, that would be an opportunity for this. A big push for an unexpected local babyface would be great. Obviously this is only my personal preference.

10. Let's say 4 so far because I think the third year will be the best in one of the best C-Verse diaries in my opinion.

  1. LSW's core product is Classic Southern Rasslin, an old school approach that focuses on in-ring psychology and the logic of the protagonists' actions. Do you find this premise in reading the shows?  I believe that the premise comes through during matches.

  2. What do you think of the rivalries featured in LSW? Do you find them logical and easily understandable? Do you think they are too simple?  I like the rivalries that have been featured in LSW, Cali Slick vs Rayne Man (Southern Stinger) has been one of the highlights of the rivalries that you have put forth.  I think that the rivalries you have placed in your shows have been logical and I don't find any of them too simple.

  3. In these first two years, which rivalry or story did you like the most?  I already mentioned the rivalry between Cali Slick and Southern Stinger, but other stories that I have enjoyed the most I would say would be Joffy Laine's rise to the Texas Heavyweight championship and his rivalry with The Most Wanted and Left Shot's rivalry with Kip Keenan.

  4. As the months and years go by, do you find it difficult to keep up with what is happening in LSW?  I don't find it that difficult to keep up with what has been happening in LSW.

  5. Who do you think has been the most interesting wrestler/tag team in this diary so far?  Rayne Man has become a highlight since he changed into the Southern Stinger persona.  I am also a fan of Left Shot and I am glad he is holding the belt at the moment.  I also consider The Most Wanted to be a highlight of your shows especially during the beginning of the diary.

  6. Who do you think has been the least interesting wrestler/tag team so far?  If I had to say who I find the least interesting it would have to be The Oklahomans.  They seem to just fly under the radar in my opinion.

  7. What do you think about the length of events cards Previews? Would you prefer really short previews?  I like how you do event previews and I think they are a good length.

  8. What do you think about the length of the Shows?  I think that the length of your shows are good.

  9. Is there anything in particular that you would like to see in LSW? Do you have any extra advice?  I don't have anything in particular I would like to see in LSW, I am just enjoying the ride and liking what I am seeing so far, and I am looking forward to what year 3 has in store.

  10. From 1 to 5 what grade would you give this diary so far?  I think I would give the diary a grade of 5.  I think that the diary is solid and an enjoyable read.  I think you have done a great job getting most of your characters over and I look forward to seeing what the next in-game year brings for LSW.

Apologies in advance - I'm having to use my phone to access the forum right now and it's not as easy/user friendly to reply on posts, so this may not be as thorough as I'd like it to be for you.

LSW's core product is Classic Southern Rasslin, an old school approach that focuses on in-ring psychology and the logic of the protagonists' actions. Do you find this premise in reading the shows

Yes, I definitely get that feeling from the shows.

What do you think of the rivalries featured in LSW? Do you find them logical and easily understandable? Do you think they are too simple?

I have enjoyed the ebb and flow of them, the majority of the important ones getting their chances to shine.

In these first two years, which rivalry or story did you like the most?

Bradley Blaze and his entourage versus Joffy Laine was a lot of fun.

As the months and years go by, do you find it difficult to keep up with what is happening in LSW?

Nothing has been too difficult to keep up with.

Who do you think has been the most interesting wrestler/tag team in this diary so far?

I think there's been a lot of enjoyable workers having their moment in the spotlight, Blaze, Laine, Left Shot, Hangman, Rayne Man (Southern Stinger) etc

Who do you think has been the least interesting wrestler/tag team so far?

There's a few that have been underutilized so far, and while not interesting per se, the majority of the interest lies in 'what could be' with them rather than what they've done so far. Kip Keenan, The American Cobras spring to mind the most for me.

What do you think about the length of events cards Previews? Would you prefer really short previews?

Sometimes the preview write ups do more to excite me for a match than what has happened in previous shows - I'd like to see a bit more of the anticipation build in the actual shows just so it feels immersed among the shows rather than separate to them. (This is not often and if I wasn't using a phone to reply I'd be giving a better explanation of this!)

What do you think about the length of the Shows?

A good length.

Is there anything in particular that you would like to see in LSW? Do you have any extra advice?

Maybe some graphics/renders if you're willing to go through creating/sourcing them. I love to see people's interpretation of the C-Verse characters, and Rayne Man to Southern Stinger is an example of how the visual aide would have sold me on the new gimmick even more.

From 1 to 5 what grade would you give this diary so far?

5

  1. LSW's core product is Classic Southern Rasslin, an old school approach that focuses on in-ring psychology and the logic of the protagonists' actions. Do you find this premise in reading the shows
I'm not completely familiar with Classic Southern Rasslin in real life, but I would say the focus on in-ring psychology is there. I think in the early stages there was a period where the top title moved around a lot, which I don't believe would fit this style but that's a minor quibble.
  2. What do you think of the rivalries featured in LSW? Do you find them logical and easily understandable? Do you think they are too simple?
I think the storylines have been logical for the most part.
  3. In these first two years, which rivalry or story did you like the most?
The Most Wanted/Joffy Laine comes to mind first
  4. As the months and years go by, do you find it difficult to keep up with what is happening in LSW?
I have struggled with who is face and who is Heel at times, but that's probably just my bad memory
  5. Who do you think has been the most interesting wrestler/tag team in this diary so far?
Rayne Man's transformation into Southern Stinger has been fun
  6. Who do you think has been the least interesting wrestler/tag team so far?
The American Cobras have always felt a bit out of place throughout imo
  7. What do you think about the length of events cards Previews? Would you prefer really short previews?
I like the event previews, I was considering stealing it 🙃 It also helps refresh the memory ahead
  8. What do you think about the length of the Shows?
I think the show length is fine
  9. Is there anything in particular that you would like to see in LSW? Do you have any extra advice?
Nothing immediately springs to mind. Maybe fleshing out some of your undercard guys, but appreciate that can be hard to do in a wrestling first product
  10. From 1 to 5 what grade would you give this diary so far?
    4

You capture the core product pretty well and the storylines have been pretty well laid so far.

A minor complaint on my part is sometimes I struggle with identifying the faces and heels but that is pretty minor at this point.

Joffy Laine vs Most Wanted had me hooked and in recent times Rayne Man's transformation into Southern Stinger is pretty fun.

Kip Keenan to me is the most under utilized wrestler so far as I have a soft spot for him having used him in every one of my cverse games to great effect.

The show lengths and previews are absolutely fine and nothing needs changing so far.

I would give this a 4/5.

Preview for LSW Texan Rumble 2022

The Oklahomans (Patterson, Night) vs The Hive (Queen, Honeyman) in a Go Big Or Go Home match
As said by Ricky Dale Johnson, Lone Star Wrestling is no place for weakness nor mediocrity, and losers have their hours counted in here! Speaking of which, the boss has made it official to Go Big or Go Home match between these two tag teams that will face a sliding door for their careers here in Mid South. The winning tag team will receive a title shot at the LSW Tag Team title belts, while the losing one will have to pack up and leave the company. In a babyfaces vs babyfaces two-on-two, the young guns Jules Night and Jason Patterson will take on Quentin Queen and Remmy Honeyman, and after this match two of them will be out of LSW.

We should also have a huge announcement by Texas Heavyweight champ Left Shot

James Prudence vs Raphael
We came to the showdown between "Platinum" James Prudence and "The Masterpiece" Raphael. The babyface earned the right to choose the stipulation for this match by winning a three-on-three alongside The Heartbreak Express against The First Impression. The stipulation will only be announced right before the bout, and James Prudence promised Raphael that he ain't gonna like it! A rivalry born more than six months ago with the surprise arrival of "Platinum" in the Mid South and the tensions with "The Masterpiece" to impose themselves as the most pretty and deadly blonde in the business, something that may seem futile but has something obviously more important behind it, imposing themselves on each other in a superstars showdown. What stipulation will James Prudence choose? Will Raphael be able to overcome the obvious early disadvantage and impose himself over his rival?

20-Man Texan Rumble
And in the main event twenty wrestlers will compete in the third Texan Rumble, with the winner of the match being able to choose to challenge anyone he wants here in Lone Star Wrestling, including champions for their title belts. With several names still unknown in this over-the-top rope lottery battle royal, Ricky Dale Johnson recently spoiled a few names including Jared Johnson, Cali Slick, Kip Keenan, Jake Idol, David Stone and Renegade Bradley Blaze. Who will be the only one left? Who will win the Rumble?

Key for Predictions:

LSW Texan Rumble 2022
Saturday, Week 3, January 2022
Held in Houston, TX (Mid South) in front of 1,886 people
56,508 viewers on WrestleWorld

LSW Texas Heavyweight champ Left Shot opens the show by making his huge announcement, and it’s a tough tough blow for the company: LEFT SHOT SIGNED WITH A MAJOR COMPANY! Despite being a heel, Left Shot Bradford seems slightly less arrogant, saying he thought this turning point in his career would not come without LSW, before calling out Ricky Dale Johnson. The boss walks out and catches up with the champ in the ring, Left Shot hints at returning the Texas Heavyweight title strap, before revealing himself for the arrogant as****e he is by saying the championship will leave with him! He's the champ and he will enter the big leagues with it! After a wave of boos, RDJ takes his champion head-on by threatening to make the championship vacant, but Left Shot stands his ground, saying he won't mind going through legal action for abuse of power by his boss. At this point Ricky Dale Johnson plays it differently, admitting that while stripping him of his title strap might be legally problematic, booking Left Shot for a match tonight certainly would not have the same problem. Left Shot is still under contract and he WILL fight tonight, otherwise RDJ will have a valid reason to relinquish the belt. And Left Shot will compete tonight ... IN THE TEXAN RUMBLE!!! AND THAT MATCH IS NOW FOR THE LSW TEXAS HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE! A huge announcement that is greeted with joy by the fans in attendance and astonishment by Left Shot. RDJ says he will make something up and find a spot for Left Shot, who will also enter the match as Entry #1! [90]

After making their entrance, Raphael and James Prudence are in the ring, face-to-face, with "Platinum" finally revealing the stipulation of their upcoming match. The battle to show who really is the most pretty and deadly blondie in the business, to show who is to be the face of the company can only have one stipulation, and that in truth was chosen several years ago by Raphael himself, when he attempted to shave James Prudence's hair off months ago. This one-on-one in fact will be a HAIR VS HAIR MATCH! With the winner shaving his rival's hair to inflict a humiliation for the ages. A nice pop from the crowd, while Raphael sells good with his facial expressions the awe and tension for the huge importance of this bout. [52]

James Prudence vs Raphael in a Hair vs Hair match
There is tension in the air, and the two wrestlers start the match slowly, trying to get the fans even more emotionally immersed. As the minutes pass, Ozzie Goldstein and Flash Savage try to distract James Prudence, but the arrival once again of The Heartbreak Express to have James Prudence's back allows the match to be as fair as possible. In a bout that has great heat and decent wrestling, both competitors give their all to win it and after about fifteen minutes it all seems to be over when Raphael hits James Prudence with Cupid's Arrow! 1 .. 2 .. KICKOUT AT 2.9! "The Masterpiece" is shocked that James Prudence has resisted at his signature move, a serious manner here in Lone Star Wrestling, then going toe-to-toe with "Platinum" saying that he's the most pretty and deadly blondie in the business and that he's going to shave his head! Raphael, however, goes too far, attempting to submit James Prudence with his own submission hold, "Platinum" however guards well and takes advantage of Raphael's less-than-perfect technique, managing to reverse it and locking his rival in: PRUDENTIAL PAIN PLAN! LOCKED IN! The crowd gets hotter, Raphael tries to extricate himself in every way, he screams in pain, he doesn't want to have his head shaved for god sake .... But he eventually taps after almost seventeen minutes! DIN DIN DIN! After the bell, Ozzie Goldstein and Flash Savage shake their heads and abandon their leader Raphael, who almost in tears begs them to save him from this humiliation. "The Masterpiece" finally resigns, and while Johnny Needham and Ralp Liotta of The Heartbreak Express hold him down, James Prudence takes control of a hair-cutting machine, shaving Raphael's thick hair to nothing. [55]

Accompanied by graphics, the announcing team talks for a couple of minutes about the recent win of the LSW Tag Team titles by Texs Hangman and Cobra, representing The Strong Hand. It is now official that the champs will defend their golds from the assault of former champs The American Cobras, who asked to exercise their rematch clause, next month at LSW Dust Bowl 2022! [31]

In a backstage segment, we find three beloved babyfaces randomly getting together in preparation for the main event. Kip Keenan, Jared Johnson and David Stone will all three be part of the Texan Rumble match and together they reflect on the importance of the match, especially with the huge announcement that the LSW Texas Heavyweight championships will be up for grabs. The three wrestlers joke, tease each other, but ultimately wish each other good luck. Kip Keenan does a masterful job of improvising interactions with his coworkers, while the young David Stone struggles a bit going off-script. [48]

The Oklahomans (Patterson, Night) vs The Hive (Queen, Honeyman) in a Go Big Or Go Home match
Lone Star Wrestling is no place for weakness nor mediocrity, and this Go Big or Go Home match is proof of that. In this two-on-two, the winning tag team will receive a title shot at the LSW Tag Team title belts, while the losing one will have to pack up and leave the company! In a bout that has sub-par wrestling and little heat, both teams trade blows in a balanced contest, but eventually The Oklahomans defeat The Hive in eleven minutes when Jules Night surprises Remmy Honeyman with a fast roll-up for the 1 ... 2 .. 3! The Oklahomans just earn a title shot, while The Hive, well, they're out of LSW! [38]

Jules Night and Jason Patterson give their sympathy to The Hive in class act, before returning backstage, while Quentin Queen and Remmy Honeyman lay in the ring with distraught faces from losing their jobs. After a good minute, Quentin Queen extends his hand to his partner to get him up ... but suddenly "QQ" snaps and attacks Remmy Honeyman in the ring, unleashing a viciousness never seen before and leaving him down and out under crowds' boos. On the way out of the company, Quentin Queen gives in to the dark side and lashes on his partner, successfully turning heel. [13]

It's almost time for the Texan Rumble and The Most Wanted faction share a final hurdle before the match. Renegade Bradley Blaze, leader of his brigade, is thrilled at the idea that the Texas Heavyweight title strap will be up for grabs in the main event! His obsession will finally come to an end tonight when he walks out of H-Town as a three-time champ. And that must be the real and only goal for his henchmen who will take part in the match as well; pave the way for Blaze's victory! Definitely not the best promo ever seen, this angle struggles a bit due to quite bad improv.[31]

20-Man Texan Rumble for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title
As previously announced, a furious Left Shot is forced to make his entrance as #1, back against the wall and forced to defend the LSW Texas Heavyweight championship against 19 competitors. And with #2 here comes Kip Keenan! One of the fan favorites, he had an unlucky draw but that gives us a one-on-one straight from the beginning between these two rivals. Next it's the turn of Jackpot Jordan, Tavon Blake Jr and Bandit Waylon Walls who go on to fill the squared circle, and still with no eliminations also comes the turn of Entry #6, David Stone. Tavon Blake Jr is the first to leave right after the entrance of Jake Idol as #7, who along with partner Jackpot Jordan eliminates "The Grappler." Al Coleman and Miller Forde also join the Rumble, meanwhile Kip Keenan and Left Shot begin to look tired, but the champ holds his own and avoids elimination, still determined to walk out of LSW with the title strap. And what a loss that would be for RDJ and the entire company! Outlaw Wes Revell is next, and soon after that here comes Maverick Chip Martin. The draw brings back three members of The Most Wanted in the Rumble, and together they manage to eliminate the underdog Miller Fforde. Rob Reynolds is #12 and, despite the high stakes of the match, his focus is just on Al Coleman, immediately engaging in a wild brawl with his former friend who betrayed him.

Lucky #13 is Renegade Bradley Blaze, who then reunites with his entire faction and dominates the match, failing to eliminate Kip Keenan only by a whisker, but throwing David Stone over the third rope after an assist from Maverick Chip Martin. Next, Xavi Ferrera makes his Rumble debut by immediately hurling himself at the champ Left Shot, who, however, withstands the assault. Davis Wayne Newton is #15 and within a minute of his arrival in the ring a menage a quatre is created with Xavi Ferrera, Al Coleman and Rob Reynolds, with the Brass Knuckles belt in the background. The ring is packed, twelve wrestlers are in it, but the arrival of a behemoth changes everything: Dreadnought is #16! Accompanied by his agent Laura Catherine Huggins, Dreadnought eliminates Maverick Chip Martin with ease, hurled at him by Bradley Blaze incredibly intimidated by the behemoth. Dreadnought then catches Al Coleman and Rob Reynolds engaged in exchanging blows on the apron in a precarious situation, eliminating both. Moments later, however, Xavi Ferrera scores a huge elimination by throwing out Davis Wayne Newton. Prime Time Jack Pryde is #17 and the rookie keeps hinting at a babyface turn, refusing to save Jake Idol and Jackpot Jordan, who at one step of desperation were desperately asking for his help. Rich And Famous tag team is in fact eliminated by Dreadnought, bringing his eliminations to five. While Left Shot remains dangerously in the shadows, Kip Keenan scores an elimination on Bandit Waylon Walls, leaving The Most Wanted faction with only two members.

Entry #18 is Southern Stinger, who is very well received by the H-Town crowd. The facepainted madman slingshots into the ring and lands several big shots such as Left Shot, Bradley Blaze and Wes Revell, before suffering the physical domination of Dreadnought who focuses on him. The behemot demolishes Southern Stinger, but in an instant everything changes as Dreadnought goes long on a Lariat attempt finding himself on the ropes; Southern Stinger takes a run-up and in turn with a well-executed Lariat shifts the masked titan's center of gravity: Dreadnought is eliminated! In doing so, however, Southern Stinger sacrifices himself, also ending up over the third rope. The madman lets out a nutty smile, as if to say "it was all worth it," but here comes Dreadnought back on him, that beats him at ringside, throwing him against the steel steps and the railings, before leaving him down and out with a Dread Bomb, being then pulled away by several staff members. Back in the ring, Left Shot also makes his presence felt, hitting Xavi Ferrera with a Dream Left Hook before throwing him out, and the champ has more and more chances of walking out still as Texas Heavyweight champ! Entering with #19 is Jared Johnson, who after building his momentum eliminates Outlaw Wes Revell. Kip Keenan, meanwhile, eliminates Prime Time Jack Pryde. And with #20 the last wrestler to enter the Rumble is Cali Slick, accompanied by Vinny Cruz, who jumps into the ring and batters Kip Keenan in the corner. Cali Slick then focuses on Jared Johnson and a nice one-on-one ensues, which would appear to be won by the Californian. Cali Slick puts "Double J" on the ropes, yelling at him that it's his time to shine, cause he's "The Draw!" But with a figurehead, Jared Johnson manages to throw him off balance, rolling him outside of the ring for the elimination.

We have come to the Final four with current champ Left Shot (#1), Kip Keenan (#2), Renegade Bradley Blaze (#13) and Jared Johnson (#19); tensions are rising and Ricky Dale Johnson walks out on stage all worried, ordering the three contenders to eliminate the champ right away! Renegade Bradley Blaze is the only one to follow the plan, going toe-to-toe against Left Shot who, however, unleashes his DREAM LEFT HOOK! Bradley Blaze goes to sleep after this knockout punch and rolls out of the ring, the match continues and after a couple of minutes Left Shot tries his signature move on Kip Keenan as well, who however avoids it, then grabbing him from behind and throwing him over the third rope: LEFT SHOT IS ELIMINATED! Kip Keenan succeeds in eliminating Left Shot and "saving" the Texas Heavyweight championship, the defending champion is immediately joined at ringside by a relieved RDJ and a number of staff members, who escort him outside of the venue: goodbye and good luck Left Shot! We're down to the wire, with only two competitors in the ring, Kip Keenan and Jared Johnson wrestle fiercely, with the latter taking advantage of his freshness to impose himself, but eventually Kip Keenan manages at the last to overturn his opponent's elimination attempt, managing to throw him over the third rope with his Belly to Belly Suplex! "The American Eagle" is the only one left in the ring and he celebrates ... But Bradley Blaze slips back into the squared circle, as he was never eliminated from contention having come out from under the first rope; "The Renegade" surprises an exhausted Kip Keenan that doesn't see this one coming, ending up over the third rope! DIN DIN DIN! Renegade Bradley Blaze wins the Texan Rumble for the second time in three years, and he also becomes the LSW Texas Heavyweight champ for the third time! Left empty-handed is Kip Keenan, who manages to record the longest survival time, while Dreadnought scores the most eliminations with five. [56]

His obsession finally became a reality, despite the Houston audience showering him with booing. "The Renegade" played it smart and triumphed in the Texan Rumble match, and with Left Shot dropping out and the ensuing main event becoming a title match, Bradley Blaze regained what he has always considered "his" Texas Heavyweight championship. And with an exhausted and desolate Kip Keenan leaning at the railings, and with a Ricky Dale Johnson looking at his new champ with a smirk, knowing that the danger of losing his main title strap was averted, the first LSW event of 2022 comes to a close. [60]
