  6. Preview for LSW No Way Out of the Cage 2022 The Most Wanted (Revell, Walls, Martin), Jack Pryde vs Stone, Blake Jr, Fforde, Ferrera The ownership has made official a four-on-four match that will see The Most Wanted faction teaming up with Prime Time Jack Pryde, as these two sides continue a partnership. Their opponents are four babyfaces who have all been screwed during the King of the Rodeo, the Canadian next gen stars David Stone, Tavon Blake Jr, Miller Fforde and Xavi Ferrera. So keen is the desire to teach Maverick Chip Martin, Bandit Waylon Walls, Outlaw Wes Revell and, most of all, Prime Time Jack Pryde a lesson. Will the babyfaces be able to triumph? Or will the Jack Pryde-The Most Wanted connection prevail? The Empire (Del Veccio, Milano) The Oklahomans (Patterson, Night) Jules Night is back from his broken arm injury and he's teaming up with fellow Oklahoman Jason Patterson to collide against Antonio Del Veccio and Brutus Milano, the latter the one who caused the injury during an 8-Tag Battle Royal a couple of months ago. The Empire from New York go against The Oklahomans in tag team action, which duo will come out on top? Al Coleman vs Frankie Perez The South West sensation, "Buzzsaw" Frankie Perez will stop in the Mid South for a while longer, as Ricky Dale Johnson has struck a deal for one more appearance in LSW. One of the best competitors on the indie scene, Frankie Perez will be going up against "Mr. Submission" Al Coleman, another competitor from the South West who has been stepping up even further in Lone Star Wrestling lately. What would appear to be a potential technical masterclass will be staged at LSW No Way Out of the Cage 2022 and it would be foolish to miss such an interesting match-up. The Dynamite Express (Jones, Collier) vs The Wild Cats (El Jaguar, Tigre Salvaje Jr) Cam Jones and Syd Collier are on a roll since their arrival in the Mid South, rapidly becoming a serious threat in a booming tag team division. The Wild Cats will want to obstruct The Dynamite Express, however, and slow down its run, as the babyface luchadores are set to square up against the heelish duo in an attempt to snatch a very important victory for the tag team rankings inside Lone Star Wrestling. Cali Slick vs Jared Johnson Once again, the rivalry between Cali Slick and Jared Johnson brings the two competitors to clash one versus one, this time for the decisive showdown. "Double J" undoubtedly has the advantage, but Cali Slick's recent victory, albeit a tainted one, has brought things almost even. "The Draw" is looking for a decisive win to prove his worth to everyone, even at his agent Vinny Cruz who lately seems to have lost confidence in his client. Jared Johnson is motivated, however, to lock the Californian in his Carolina Crossface and not let him go until his rival has tap out. Heartbreak Express (Needham, Liotta) (c) vs American Cobras (Malloy, Spillane) for the LSW Tag Team titles In a championship match initially set for last month, The Heartbreak Express will finally defend their title belts against former champs The American Cobras, in a babyface vs. babyface tag team match that promises to be very balanced. Johnny Needham and Ralph Liotta reached the top of the division in 2022, winning first the Mid South Tag Series and then the LSW Tag Team championships, while Storm Spillane and Marvel Malloy remain among the best tag team competitors in the world. You can't miss this! Kip Keenan (c) vs James Prudence in a Cage match for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title And in the main event, the most anticipated match will see the champ Kip Keenan defend his title belt against “The King of the Rodeo” James Prudence, inside a Steel Cage! The memory of Platinum’s heel turn in the final Rodeo tournament is still fresh, sick of seeing a less talented, less successful, less iconic brat in his place as the major star of Lone Star Wrestling. The King of the South is seeking the crown, but to get it he will have to defeat the best Texas Heavyweight champ in history, “The American Eagle” Kip Keenan. There's No Way Out of the Cage, there's no way out of this showdown; who will walk out as the champ? Key for Predictions: The Most Wanted, Jack Pryde vs Stone, Blake Jr, Fforde, Ferrera [1 Pts] The Heartbreak Express (c) vs The American Cobras for the LSW Tag Team titles [1 Pts] The Dynamite Express vs The Wild Cats [1 Pts] The Empire The Oklahomans [1 Pts] Cali Slick vs Jared Johnson [1 Pts] Al Coleman vs Frankie Perez [1 Pts] Kip Keenan (c) vs James Prudence in a Cage match for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title [1 Pts]

  9. LSW Opened New Training Facility! Some great news for Lone Star Wrestling, as owner Ricky Dale Johnson just announced the opening of a new training facility in San Antonio. The Rattlesnake Wrestling Academy would serve as the breeding ground for the next generation of Southern wrestlers, embodying the proud tradition of Texan wrestling excellence. It is estimated that LSW has spent about $280,000 to set up the dojo, and that the monthly cost will be around $25,000 per month. The training level is at 60% and the facilities at 40%. Graduation of the first class should be around November 2023, little more than a year from now.

  11. Thx man! Yeah we'll definitely has to run it again between Kip and Coleman! He definitely was one of the candidates, but in the end I went for Prudence to finally turn him heel over Keenan. "The Shooter" is going to be a big big player tho, just wait a little bit more Woah Ky you got so close to predict the perfect bracket! That's the only one wrong, but it was a 51/49 match-up probably so it was tough! You're running away in the predictions game lol 3 more events this year, don't choke lol Yo Dino! The only one who put some trust over "The Hangman" 🤠 Thx for being active man! NGL Keenan deserves every title and trophy we had rn cause it' delivering around 75 performance ratings night in and night out! A beast
  12. LSW King Of The Rodeo 2022 - Day #4 Wednesday, Week 1, October 2022 Held in Dallas, TX (Mid South) in front of 3,160 people 97,979 viewers on WrestleWorld The fourth and final night of the King of the Rodeo 2002 kicks off with the boss Ricky Dale Johnson hyping up the Quarter Finals that will start right after this segment. RDJ clearly enjoys having the freedom to go off-script and performs well, doing some good recap of the upcoming bouts. A nice opening to gets the crowd involved, the announcers are ready to call the acton, and some extra Ks spent on special set makes the stage even better; it’s a big night for Lone Star Wrestling and for the winner of the King of the Rodeo tournament, as the one who can survive the single-elimination rounds will take home the trophy and a $10,000 maxi-check sponsored by Herrera Steak, the best steak in town! [73] Al Coleman vs James Prudence in the Quarter-finals of LSW King Of The Rodeo "Mr. Submission" Al Coleman squares up against "Platinum" James Prudence. Both coming off recent defeats in Texas Heavyweight title matches, although James Prudence has some mistakes in refereeing to complain about, these two competitors are still main event caliber wrestlers and it shows in this decent wrestling bout with good heat from the Dallas fans. After fourteen minutes, James Prudence is able to reverse an Ankle Brace by Al Coleman, and although his right leg was damaged by "Mr. Submission's" offensive, "Platinum" scores the W after hitting his Surf's Up to pin his opponent. [54] In a backstage angle, Davis Wayne Newton walks toward Dreadnought and his agent Laura Catherine Huggins. The behemoth looks ready to rough him up as soon as he sees him, but DWN manages to convince him to make a proposal, aided by the diplomacy of his agent. These two heels clashed recently, true, but they shouldn't have! That damn Southern Stinger pushed them against each other because that was the only way he could keep the Brass Knuckles championship. After a very partisan retelling of the facts, DWN proposes that Dreadnought and Laura Catherine Huggins start working together, saying he is sure that the three of them together would be unstoppable, a real "Triple Threat" - pun intended. Dreadnought does not seem convinced at all, but His Agent takes the floor, saying they will think about it and get an answer to Davis Wayne Newton in due course. [52] Shooter Sean Deeley vs Southern Stinger in the Quarter-finals of LSW King Of The Rodeo And talking about Southern Stinger, the LSW Brass Knuckles champ is up next, against Shooter Sean Deeley. In a bout that has good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, both competitors fight an intense match, with “The Stinger” who gets close to a submission win with his Stinger Fall, and with “The Shooter” who almost does the same with a Stretch Armbar. After twelve minutes, Sean Deeley ducks the Rayne Drop, and after few seconds connects a Tornado German Suplex, going for the pin: 1 .. 2 .. 3! “The Wrestling Machine” defeats one of the fan favourites clean in the ring to advance to the Semi-finals! [56] Kip Keenan vs Taheiji Konoe in the Quarter-finals of LSW King Of The Rodeo In a bout that has great wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, LSW Texas Heavyweight champ Kip Keenan goes one-on-one against Taheiji Konoe, accompanied by his manager Duke Hazzard. A balanced fight between these two, after ten minutes “The Animal” from Japan gets himself disqualified after going into an attacking rage. This match gets the crowd hotter. [67] After the bell, Taheiji Konoe keeps hitting Kip Keenan, and "The Animal" manages to be calmed down only by his manager, Duke Hazzard, who with a mix of English simple words and Japanese mispronounced words placates his assisted. "The American Eagle" advances to the Rodeo Semi-Finals after this DQ win. [51] Texas Hangman vs Jared Johnson in the Quarter-finals of LSW King Of The Rodeo In the fourth and last Quarter-finals match, two babyfaces square up in an intense but fair bout that has good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd. After ten minutes Jared Johnson almost locks his opponent into the Carolina Crossface, and that’s really the highlight of this one-on-one. After that, “Double J” gets punished by a huge big boot by the imposing heavyweight, and Texas Hangman gets the W after a Choke Slam for the 1-2-3. [61] On his way out to the ring for his Semi-finals match, Shooter Sean Deeley is stopped by sports agent Vinny Cruz, who in his slimy manner compliments him on the impact he has made right away in Lone Star Wrestling, wishing him a victory in the Rodeo and hoping to talk business with him very soon. The moment Vinny Cruz extends a business card toward "The Shooter," Cali Slick bursts on the scene, questioning his agent about what is going on. Vinny Cruz quickly hides the card, mumbling a few excuses and merely paying Sean Deeley a few compliments. Seeming absolutely uninterested by Cruz's tampering, "The Shooter" resumes walking toward the stage, while Cali Slick looks to his agent Vinny Cruz with increasing suspicion. [50] James Prudence vs Shooter Sean Deeley in the Semi-finals of LSW King Of The Rodeo Despite good heat from the crowd and decent wrestling, this bout could have been much better, but unfortunately "Platinum" and "The Shooter" don't seem to click at all and it made for an awkward match. Sean Deeley, who's getting better at his legitimate athlete gimmick, keeps working on James Prudence's leg and ankle, already injured by Al Coleman during the Quarter-finals. However, after thirteen minutes, James Prudence is able to lock his opponent into his signature move, the Prudential Pain Plan! Shooter Sean Deeley shows resistance, finding a way to get at least partially out of the submission hold, but at this point the experienced James Prudence shifts his center of gravity and rolls on the ground, bringing Sean Deeley's shoulders onto the mat: 1 ... 2 .. 3!! "Platinum" defeats "The Shooter" with a quick pinfall and moves to the Final match! [51] In a backstage angle, Jason Patterson and Jules Night, the latter still with a bandaged arm, have a heated discussion with New Yorkers Antonio Del Veccio and Brutus Milano, as the Italian-Americans injured "Sandman" and broke his arm during an 8-Tag Battle Royal not long ago. A challenge ensues between The Oklahomans and The Empire for the foreseeable future, a tag team match as soon as Jules Night will be cleared for action. [34] Kip Keenan vs Texas Hangman in the Semi-finals of LSW King Of The Rodeo While James Prudence awaits, only one of these two babyface stars will be in the main event and final match of the King of the Rodeo tournament. In a bout that has superb wrestling and good heat, after eleven minutes Kip Keenan tries to lift Texas Hangman on his shoulders for the One-Winged Eagle, but the heavyweight piles on the ground and doesn't get lifted up, counterattacking few seconds later with a Big Boot! “The Hangman” then takes the champ by his neck, attempting his Choke Slam, but “The American Eagle” manages to trip him and bring him on the mat for a winning surprise cradle. Kip Keenan defeats Texas Hangman and joins James Prudence in the Final of the King of the Rodeo. [66] After the bell, a pissed off Texas Hangman walks straight at Kip Keenan, seated at a corner. After a couple of seconds, "The Hangman" extends his hand and lifts the LSW Texas Heavyweight champ, accepting defeat and honoring "The American Eagle," who reciprocates. An unexpected attitude from the big heavyweight, especially compared to how we were used to seeing him. It would seem that the face turn that occurred after leaving The Strong Hand faction is final now. [67] In a backstage angle, Prime Time Jack Pryde, accompanied by his valet Venus Angeletti, meets with The Most Wanted faction to talk about their recent mutual partnership during the King of the Rodeo tournament. “Prime Time” says that David Stone, Xavi Ferrera, Tavon Blake Jr and Miller Fforde are all eager to put their hands on him, so Jack Pryde ask Maverick Chip Martin, Outlaw Wes Revell and Bandit Waylon Walls to team up with him in a four-on-four match. The Most Wanted were looking for a new chance to shine, right? This could be the first step! Surprisingly, Bandit Waylon Walls makes the decision on behalf of the team, accepting the proposal. This shows how The Most Wanted are still looking for a real leader, as last time was Outlaw Wes Revell to call the shot. [39] James Prudence vs Kip Keenan in the Final of LSW King Of The Rodeo The aim of the match is to build a spectacle, and thanks to both competitors’ psychology the result is pretty damn good. After more than a quarter of an hour, James Prudence starts choking Kip Keenan with his lethal Prudential Pain Plan, but the champ manages to reach the rope for a Rope Break! Kip Keenan already got close to win the bout a couple of times, but he’s now looking to finish it with his beautiful One-Winged Eagle! The move is avoided by James Prudence, who seconds later strikes with his Surf’s Up! IT’S OVER! 1 .. 2 .. 3!? NOO!! Really really really tough call by the referee, as it’s impossible to determine if Kip Keenan lifted his shoulders at 2.99 or at 3.01, but the referee doesn’t ring the ball, considering it a kickout by “The American Eagle”! James Prudence argues vividly with the referee, yelling at his face. “Platinum” was already screwed once against Kip Keenan recently, or at least that’s what he thinks, and now he’s sure that the count was a clear three, he should be the King of the Rodeo already! Back at the action, and after a little bump the referee is now down on the mat. Tensions rise, something just snaps inside James Prudence as he kicks Kip Keenan on his groin! NO!! The over three thousands fans in attendance react just like the announcing team. Everyone is shocked, James Prudence just turned heel on Kip Keenan, and as the referee recovers his senses, “Platinum” locks Kip Keenan into his Prudential Pain Plan as the champ blackouts: James Prudence wins the third edition of the King of the Rodeo tournament! [63] The initial shock turns into a broadside of booing from the Dallas crowd. James Prudence grabs a mic and stops the planned celebration, saying to staff members that he will take pictures with the Rodeo trophy and the $10,000 maxi-check after this. "Platinum just wants to say something to Kip Keenan now, as he considers the champ nothing more than a protected and lucky brat, constantly helped by the referees, by the ownership, and undeservedly carried in triumph by all LSW fans! James Prudence does a masterful job of improvising interactions with the crowd, saying he got tired of being the good guy who got screwed by a less talented, less successful, less iconic bubbly babyface. "Platinum" should have been LSW Texas Heavyweight champ for months, and he won't wait any longer. "The King of the Rodeo" wants his crown, he wants Kip Keenan, he wants the big belt, he wants a Cage match at LSW No Way Out of the Cage 2022, in just two weeks! 13. Hey @willr0ck! That violet leather strap is gorgeous Pretty sure that, grammar-wise, it should be La Agonia instead of El Agonia You already have plans for the Euro scene? I think it's pretty unrealistic in CVerse, so it wil be another nice thing to differ RockVerse from the original db. Just in case you need some help planning it, I'm from Italy so maybe I can give you my point of view
  14. Thx guys final rounds of the Rodeo will be posted later on! Still time to predict the bracket Also, after the show there will be an important update I'm really happy about!

  16. I enjoyed a lot his US title run when he pretty much did that! But also agree that as WWE/World champ carrying a show he needs a talker w/ him to not making him boring after a couple of weeks. Side note: am I the only one thinking his Spear is pretty bad?
  17. 100%, she’s definitely the best female wrestler AEW have by far! Another great promo
  18. On a side note, I LOVE those new WWE Tag Team titles! I think they could have added a hint of blue in them, but they're great. P.S. Does anyone like Tag Team 4-Way matches? lol I found them some of the most boring things ever, it's always the same huge clusterf'
  19. Yeah... Cody is obviously not going to lose the title @ Backlash, but to be fair AJ Styles ain't a credible threat rn. It could be a nice bout, but that's it. The World title scene is booming with Priest, Rollins, CM Punk and McIntyre, i think post-draft they really need some interesting challengers for Cody's WWE title to not losing his momentum.
  20. LSW King Of The Rodeo 2022 - Day #3 Tuesday, Week 1, October 2022 Held in Dallas, TX (Mid South) in front of 3,731 people 91,896 viewers on WrestleWorld “Platinum” James Prudence and “The Draw” Cali Slick open the show with a nice staredown to get the crowd hotter. [51] James Prudence vs Cali Slick in the Second Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In a good balanced match, James Prudence avoids the Slick-Back by his opponent and hits the Surf’s Up immediately after. “The Draw” kicks off at two, showing some resistance, bet eventually “Platinum” locks him in his Prudential Pain Plan and forces him to tap out after fifteen minutes. [60] We're heading backstage where Prime Time Jack Pryde, accompanied by his valet Venus Angeletti, is confronted by The Most Wanted faction who thanks them for their help during the First Round, saying they wanted to return the favor in Jack Pryde's match. "Prime Time" admits that rather than helping them, his goal was to teach Tavon Blake Jr, Miller Fforde and Xavi Ferrera a lesson, but hey! Jack Pryde likes this entire "you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" partnership, so maybe they will link up again in the near future. [41] Shooter Sean Deeley vs Bandit Waylon Walls in the Second Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo “The Bandit”, accompanied by Maverick Chip Martin and Outaw Wes Revell, acts tough in front of Sean Deeley, but “The Shooter” isn’t impressed by his South West thug attitude and kicks his butt. In a bout that has good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Sean Deeley defeats Bandit Waylon Walls in seven minutes by submission with a Seated Stretch Armbar. The ring rust is finally gone for “The Shooter” who delivers a great in-ring performance. [56] Outlaw Wes Revell vs Al Coleman in the Second Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo Another member of The Most Wanted has his Second Round match, in a bout that has good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd. “The Outlaw” showcases his brawling abilities, but is eventually forced to tap out when “Mr. Submission” Al Coleman traps him in an Ankle Brace. [55] Maverick Chip Martin vs Taheiji Konoe in the Second Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo Two out, third at bat. Maverick Chip Martin seeks a victory to carry the banner of The Most Wanted into the final rounds, but his opponent "The Animal" Taheiji Konoe that batters him in almost six minutes, pinning him after a Savage Cradle DDT. The Most Wanted goes 0-3 in the Second Round, while Duka hazzard celebrates his client, a Japanese beast who’s having an impressive Rodeo run. [43] Before their match, the madman facepainted vigilante Southern Stinger has a verbal argument with his upcoming opponent, Zeus Maxmillion, as "The Bronzed God" insults the fan favorite and promises to reduce his clown face to mush. The LSW Brass Knuckles champ keeps his nutty attitude, saying he is impatient to find out if even a God can be defeated. [49] Southern Stinger vs Zeus Maxmillion in the Second Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In a good match, "The Bronzed God" physically imposes himself on the LSW Brass Knuckles champ for most of the time in the first half of the bout, but "The Stinger" builds a nice comeback then. Zeus Maxmillion then seems to regain control of the match, and after almost twelve minutes he goes for his Olympian Clutch to seal the deal. Southern Stinger however rolls back on his stomach, managing with a sly move to get his opponent on the mat for a fast roll up: 1 ... 2 .. 3!! "The Stinger" did it! He defeats Zeus Maxmillion by pinfall to advance to the final rounds. [53] Texas Hangman vs Dreadnought in the Second Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo As expected, this heavyweights clash turns into a wild brawl pretty fast, and it turns out to be a decent one, especially thanks to Texas Hangman’s performance. Last year, we had the same match-up and “The Hangman” won by count out, while this year the former adept of The Strong Hand defeats Dreadnought by pinfall with a Choke Slam after eight minutes. [48] Right before his match, Prime Time Jack Pryde wanders backstage, appearing to have finally found who he was looking for. Maverick Chip Martin is intercepted by "Prime Time" requesting his help and that of the other members of The Most Wanted for his bout. "The Maverick," however, is not in the mood and so are his teammates Wes Revell and Waylon Walls, as all three got eliminated from the Rodeo tonight. Chip Martin leaves a disappointed Jack Pryde on the scene, telling him that if he wanted their help, he should have helped them in turn during their own tournament bouts earlier on. It’s a “do ut des” thing, you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours. [42] Prime Time Jack Pryde vs Jared Johnson in the Second Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In a decent match, Jack Pryde tries to keep up with Jared Johnson’s technical skills, but fails. A couple of distracion from his valet Venus Angeletti helps “Prime Time”, but eventually the cocky heel gets trapped into “Double J”’s Carolina Crossface after ten minutes, and has no other choice but to tap out. Jared Johnson reaches the final rounds of the King of the Rodeo! [53] Davis Wayne Newton vs Kip Keenan in the Second Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo The LSW Texas Heavyweight champ, Kip Keenan, and the former LSW Brass Knuckles champ, Davis Wayne Newton, square up in tonight’s main event. In a bout that has superb wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Kip Keenan defeats Davis Wayne Newton in seventeen minutes by pinfall, connecting his One-Winged Eagle to close the match. Another huge performance by the champ, head and shoulder above everyone else in Lone Star Wrestling at the moment. [70] And to close the event and hype tomorrow’s Day #4 with the final rounds, all eight remaining competitors join the squared circle, for a collective staredown. “Mr. Submission” Al Coleman, “Platinum” James Prudence, Shooter Sean Deeley, Brass Knuckles champ Southern Stinger, Texas Heavyweight champ Kip Keenan, “The Animal” Taheiji Konoe, Texas Hangman and “Double J” Jared Johnson. Who’s going to be crowned The King of The Rodeo? 21. @Nobby_McDonald I have to go with Takeshita, Dustin and Miro for both matches
  22. LSW King Of The Rodeo 2022 - Day #2 Monday, Week 1, October 2022 Held in Dallas, TX (Mid South) in front of 4,043 people 77,128 viewers on WrestleWorld Frantic Ali vs Southern Stinger in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo Presented as a really tough opponent from South West, Frantic Ali gives a good fight to LSW Brass Knuckles champ Southern Stinger. In a bout that has good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Southern Stinger defeats Frantic Ali in twelve minutes by pinfall with a Rayne Drop. [56] Carlos Gonzalez vs Jared Johnson in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo Accompanied by his niece Marco, Carlos Gonzalez takes on Jared Johnson. In a decent match that lasts around ten minutes, “Double J” avoids the Flat-Out by the arrogant Puerto Rican, before puting him into a Carolina Crossface that forces him to tap out. [54] Next on the card, Luis Montero Jr makes his Lone Star Wrestling debut, being presented as a fierce wrestler from a well known Mexican family. Then, Duke Hazzard - who in the last year did multiple appearances as color commentator - walks out to present his new client, also making his debut in the Mid South and generally speaking in the US. Coming straight from Japan, “The Sheriff” welcomes “The Animal” Taheiji Konoe! An hardcore wrestler with savage intensity. [29] Taheiji Konoe vs Luis Montero Jr in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In a bout that has sub-par wrestling, “The Animal” Taheiji Konoe does a good impression by defeating Luis Montero Jr in seven minutes after his Savage Cradle DDT. The announcing quality lifts the match. The intensity that the Japanese brings to the table is certainly something to build him around. [41] Davis Wayne Newton vs Tigre Salvaje Jr in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo The fourth match on the card is former Brass Knuckles champ Davis Wayne Newton against Tigre Salvaje Jr, one half of The Wild Cats. In a decent match, “Triple Threat” is able to defeat his opponent to qualify to the Second Round, pinning him in nine minutes after a Fisherman’s Suplex. [55] Rob Reynolds vs Dreadnought in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In a bout that has a decent reaction from the Dallas fans, but sub-par wrestling, Dreadnought defeats babyface Rob Reynolds in seven minutes, after hitting him with a Dread Bomb to seal the deal. The young behemot still looks green in the ring, and tonight he also seems off his game. His agent Laura Catherine Huggins does some great work at ringside though. [48] And up next, take a look at take a look at who has arrived here in the Mid South: “The Bronzed God” Zeus Maxmillion! A huge name shows up for the King of the Rodeo, flexing his muscles and looking disdainfully at the Dallas crowd. [60] Zeus Maxmillion vs El Jaguar in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo Definitely not the hardest bout Zeus Maxmillion fought in, “The Bronzed God” defeats El Jaguar by submission in six minutes after applying his devastating Olympian Clutch on the Mexican luchador. Good wrestling, decent reaction from the crowd, this match delivered! [60] Shooter Sean Deeley vs Samoan Machine in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo The wrestling machine known as Shooter Sean Deeley faces an opponent who could give him a run for his money on the intensity level. Strong, technically skilled, and with the tenacity of a pit bull, Samoan Machine enters the Rodeo! Both still rusty in the ring, the match turns out to be underwhelming to say at least. Shooter Sean Deeley forces Samoan Machine to submit in ten minutes with a Front Choke Lock. [38] James Prudence makes his entrance cheered by the fans, and to his surprise the other competitor in this last First Round match is "Fabulous" Eddie Chandler! A veteran of this business, the Canadian wrestler is best known for his runs with CGC, where he won the World title, and TCW. A natural heel, Eddie Chandler goes out of his way to immediately antagonizes all the fans, who side with "Platinum" James Prudence. [58] James Prudence vs Eddie Chandler in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo The in-ring performances of this two veterans are naturally are less bright due to their age, still the bout has lots of energy and great heat from the crowd. After fifteen minutes, James Prudence scores the W after his second Surf’s Up, pinning “Fabulous” to pass the turn and reach the Second Round. [50] Not a bad night in terms of in-ring performances, still not having ongoing storylines featured in the event gives it a malus in the overall rating. The eight matches of the Second Round will take place tomorrow! OVERALL RATING: 49
  23. LSW King Of The Rodeo 2022 - Day #1 Sunday, Week 4, September 2022 Held in Dallas, TX (Mid South) in front of 3,905 people 86,618 viewers on WrestleWorld Tavon Blake Jr vs Maverick Chip Martin in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In a poor match, Maverick Chip Martin defeats Tavon Blake in eight minutes by pinfall with a Super Kick, following interference from a masked guy, who the announcing table assumed was either Bandit Waylon Walls or Outlaw Wes Revell, faction allies of Chip Martin in The Most Wanted. This match gets the show off to a strong start. [42] Cali Slick vs Tyrone Gray in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo Keeping up with tradition, new faces of the pro wrestling world are expected to pop up to take part in the Rodeo, the first one this year is the energetic high-flyer Tyrone Gray, going face-to-face with Cali Slick. Despite bad chemistry between the competitors, the bout turns out to be pretty decent, and Cali Slick defeats Tyrone Gray in nine minutes by pinfall with a Slick-Back. [52] Miller Fforde vs Bandit Waylon Walls in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In a decent match, "The Fighting Underdog" Miller Fforde recovers after a troubled start, setting himself up for the decisive blow. Anyway though, a distraction from the masked guy whe saw before cost him the match, as Bandit Waylon Walls hits his Jumping Double Arm DTT to score the W. The Most Wanted goes 2/2 at the moment, and everyone is pretty sure that under the mask must be Outlaw Wes Revell, right? [45] Returning backstage, Bandit Waylon Walls reunites with Maverick Chip Martin and Outlaw Wes Revell, already dressed in his ring gears for his upcoming match. Ricky Dale Johnson, accompanied by his assistant Mya Catalan, gives The Most Wanted a wash, almost questioning Wes Revell asking him if he's hastily disposed of the black mask and clothes to throw him off. RDJ is sure that he was behind the masked man, or rather, he would have no other clues at all. Therefore, RDJ calls in some security guards to monitor Chip Martin and Waylon Walls backstage during Wes Revell's tournament match. And the boss is pretty sure that, this time, no one will get to save The Most Wanted. [43] Al Coleman vs Frankie Perez in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo For the third time, Frankie Perez makes an appearance in Lone Star Wrestling, once again to take part in the King of the Rodeo tournament, being presented as a big deal on the South West scene. In a good West Coast singles bout, Al Coleman eventually traps Frankie Perez in his Ankle Brace, forcing “Buzzsaw” to tap out after sixteen minutes. Both competitors have tried to steal the show, have done it, but they were visibly tired toward the end. [63] Xavi Ferrera vs Outlaw Wes Revell in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In a balanced decent match, Xavi Ferrera and Outlaw Wes Revell fight fo ten minutes before the masked man surprisingly appears again while the ref is down! We know he can't be Revell himself, nor one of the other members of The Most Wanted faction. The masked man attacks Xavi Ferrera, but he reacts and manages to unmask his assailant: IT'S PRIME TIME! IT'S JACK PRYDE! The cocky young gun leaves the ring after being discovered, and Outlaw Wes Revell blindsides his opponent with a Neckbreaker to win the match: 1 ... 2 .. 3! The Most Wanted guys all go to the Second Round. [51] Well known veteran wrestler Texas Pete surprisingly appears as the opponent of Texas Hangman, having a nice staredown with the young big heavyweight. The more careful will remember how "The Hangman" and Texas Pete had a match at the very second LSW event ever in February 2020. At that time, Texas Hangman, who won, was the bad guy and Pete was a beloved veteran. Today the roles are reversed, as Texas Hangman is cheered while Texas Pete with simple gestures skillfully manages to turn against the crowd, allowing a classic babyface vs heel singles match. [50] Texas Hangman vs Texas Pete in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In a five-minute wild brawl, keep it short probably as Texas Pete has no stamina to last much longer, Texas Hangman defeats Texas Pete once again, pinning him in the center of the ring after his Choke Slam to advance to Second Round. [37] Prime Time Jack Pryde vs David Stone in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo After causing havoc under a mask in three previous matches, Prime Time Jack Pryde goes one-on-one against Next Gen star David Stone. In a decent match, The Most Wanted walk out to help "Prime Time" who seems genuinely surprised, as if there was no previous agreement between him and the heel brigade to help him in this bout. However, Miller Fforde, Xavi Ferrera and Tavon Blake Jr - all eliminated before against The Most Wanted members because of Jack Pryde - lash out at the heels at ringside, unleashing some chaos. This still ends up favoring Prime Time Jack Prude, who wins the match after eight minutes thanks to a quick cradle pin. [46] Kip Keenan vs Quentin Queen in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In the main event of the night, once again LSW Texas Heavyweight champion Kip Keenan delivers a stellar in-ring performance, carrying Quentin Queen who also does a decent job. In a bout that has great wrestling and some reaction from the crowd, “The American Eagle” defeats Quentin Queen in fifteen minutes, connecting his One-Winged Eagle to seal the deal. [69] OVERALL RATING: 61
