  1. I do as well. My money's on Sting winning the title.
  2. I'd say Bound For Glory is their WrestleMania. Slammiversary is more like they're SummerSlam.
  3. In the press release for Victory Road Desmond Wolfe is mentioned by name!
  4. It always takes a long time for a new booker to get his legs under him. And Bischoff always blows his competitive load before he should.
  5. I think you're thought that going to ROH is reaching a wider audience than weekly national TV is a bit off.
  6. I called it before () Bryan Danielson's character is one giant work of the internet wrestling community. I'm loving it so far. Funny thing is 75% of WWE's fan base will be caught by even more surprise when he comes back.
  7. Going by their love for 1950s wrestling names maybe they'll go with Daniel The Devastator
  8. If Bischoff will still collect a fat check, I don't see why he wouldn't give it up. Russo's already got a foot out the door of creative.
  9. He said that after Russo was fired by WCW in 2000. Lo and behold the first PPV of his tenure Hogan vs Flair in a Strap match was the main event. And it did horrible buys even by WCW 2000's standards. I don't think it would be burning a bridge. Guys have left WWE for TNA and hopped right back to WWE no problem. If The Rock went to TNA for a few appearances and then a few months later asked if WWE wanted him to say...guest host Raw. I highly doubt WWE would say no. That being said the odds that it is the Rock is about 10,000-1.
  10. DO NOT WANT "I put Ric Flair and Hogan in the main event because I know they will always draw." - Kevin Sullivan
  11. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Candyman" data-cite="Candyman" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="26724" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>No walks, either. That's a great game for anybody, let alone a 21 year old in his first game. If he started the season in Washington like he should have, he'd be a legit Cy Young contender. In the words of the immortal Harry Caray, "Stephen Strasburg spelled backwards is nehpets grubsarts."</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Washington aren't serious playoff contenders. They did the right thing keeping Strasburg in AA/AAA and saving money long term.</p>
  12. If he comes back and gets immediately involved in a huge angle, he'll be back where he was just before Lockdown. Yeah. I think it took him a bit, but Bischoff has grown to really like MCMG. I just wish they went through with their original idea of putting LAX back together. I don't like how they've booked Homicide. He's been doing the veteran "make em look good" jobs, but...not Homicide dammit!
  13. Jeff was THE main eventer for the first 4 years of TNA. It was so bad the fans were chanting "DROP THE BELT" at him. He held everyone else back. It was as if he had a clause in his contract that in 2 months or less the NWA World Championship would be back around his waist.
  14. If they were to do the same this year I'd guarantee that number goes up 10 fold. Then again...that's not saying much at all. They need to stick with the slow build and opening up in new territories. Stickwith the internet PPVs for as long as you can. Hell you canhave internet PPVs along with quarterly television PPVs for the realy big supercards.
  15. Bud has been stuck with a lot of things that he couldn't do anything about. If he had tried to go after steroids in the 90s he would have been voted out and replaced with a guy who would have covered up the whole thing. I think fans getting mad at him over steroids are misdirecting their blame. The owners and Players Association are the reason steroids were so prevalent and the reason why it was so accepted. Expecting Bud to go after 30 billionares (who hired him and have the powe to fire him) and 500 millionares on his own is unfair to Bud.
  16. I kind of like the position The Band is in right now. They're not doing too much other than holding the tag titles while the tag team division fights each other. They cut a 3 minute promo every other week, and have Eric Young do most of the wrestling. They're just there to get heat. I doubt it's cost effective, but this is the best they can do for what they're paying Nash. I doubt Hall and Young are getting big money.
  17. He stuck around too long, it was sad at the end.
  18. I knew a Scottish national when I was little. His family HATED the British.
  19. He can still sort of get lefties out.
  20. He's changed his delivery and lost all velocity. He wasn't going to stay good for very long anyway.
  21. So I guess Daniel Bryan's gimmick is officially "Internet Fan" Today he tweeted: Big NXT finale tonight. I'll be interested in seeing who wins. Wade Barrett deserves it, but you never know in WWE.
