and face Ziggler coming back to get some revenge! Dude has all of the tools to be a perfect megaface. Flashy moveset, good charisma, and he sells his ass off which actually has gotten him tons of sympathy as a heel so nice to see them finally capitalizing on it.

<p>And now, My review for Monday Night RAAAAAAAAW! 6/17/13</p><p> </p><p>

Christian vs Wade Barrett- Wade needs at least 3 things, 1, A face turn, 2, A push and 3, The Money in the Bank, But either than that, It was good. (7.5/10)</p><p> </p><p>

Team Rhodes Scholars vs Sheamus- Damn these cliches, Sandow steals one from the Celtic Warrior, Sheamus, But it was a fun little handicap match. (5/10)</p><p> </p><p>

Randy Orton vs Daniel Bryan- I love both men, So it was tough to choose who to root for, But either way, That was a well built up match, Can you believe how nice Randy was when he helped D-Bry up? The SOLE thing that absolutey sucked was the ending. (9.5/10)</p><p> </p><p>

Kane vs Dean Ambrose- This is what they are going to do if Kane doesn't turn heel, but either way, he will have one last run with gold, a decent match overall. (5/10)</p><p> </p><p>

Antonio Cesaro vs William Regal- Two things to say, Great squash match and...........Screw you Zeb! First you turn Swagger into a racist money warding asshole and then you have Cesaro become a american who HATES OTHER COUNTRIES?! WHAT NEXT? YOU GET MUHAMMED HASSAN, DAVARI AND THE IRON SHIEK TO FORM A NEW TRIANGLE OF TERROR? DAMN YOU ZEB! DAMN YOU TO HELL! (6/10) (And by the way, I don't hate hate Hassan, Davari and Shiek, I don't even dislike them.......I despise Shiek for hating on Hogan, Davari and Hassan play Arab-American terrorists so that's pretty bad on the Jacob Scale)</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Chris Jericho vs Heath Slater- This is what you get when RAW is 3 hours long.......The 3MB, Ugh, When RAW ever decides to go back to 2 hours, can we please never see Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal again? (........Drew can stay however, I see potential in that guy.) (3/10)</p><p> </p><p>

Curtis Axel vs Sin Cara- In most words i'd say that Axel will live on to have a nice long reign as Intercontinental Champion, I'd say having Paul Heyman on his side was the best thing to happen to him. (7/10)</p><p> </p><p>

CM Punk vs Alberto Del Rio- Well, It's official, I love CM Punk again, That was a AWESOME match! It had it all! action, drama and surprises! (10/10!)</p><p> </p><p>

Verdict: A- (This wasn't a bad episode of RAW, No really, It was pretty damn good. Christian's back, Young guys are getting pushed finally and 3 things.)</p><p> </p><p>

2. Dolph Ziggler's face turn, Surprising and shocking. Maybe Ziggler's not such a bad guy after all.........However he still turned AJ into a skank, but i'll get to that later.</p><p> </p><p>

And 3. Mark Henry's incredible acting, I nearly thought he was gonna retire.</p><p> </p><p>

P.S, Cena could be in big trouble come MiTB if he doesn't do something about Mark Henry.</p>

Awesome promo from Del Rio, so glad he's getting pretty good heat. Even more excited for the rematch than before. Pretty surprised just how clearly babyface Punk was. Thought they'd ease into it more.</p><p> </p><p>

Christian's awesome and everything, but I don't "get" the constant clapping thing he's done the last few years.</p><p> </p><p>

Orton/Bryan was fantastic, I expected nothing less.</p><p> </p><p>

People are reacting to the divas with actual words instead of just whistles, it's a miracle!</p><p> </p><p>

They've dropped the ball with The Prime Time Players, they're too good to be doing nothing.</p><p> </p><p>

When did Mark Henry get so good? If only he'd peaked earlier, it's scary to imagine what he'd have accomplished.</p><p> </p><p>

I REALLY miss McIntyre being relevant.</p><p> </p><p>

Really enjoying the McMahon-HHH dynamic.</p><p> </p><p>

I legit popped pretty hardcore for Ziggler, not expecting him back already after the way the PPV went.</p><p> </p><p>

Great ending, did what it's supposed to do. Has me wondering Brock's motivation and I feel like I HAVE to watch next week.</p>

<p>Watched most of the PPV. Really liked the 3-way. Really liked the divas match. Kane/Ambrose didn't thrill me. I wish Kane would stick to tag matches. Del-Rio/Ziggler was fascinating. </p><p> </p><p>

I found Jericho/Punk rather boring. Maybe it was the fact we were watching at 4am, but 2 of my viewing party fell asleep during this match. Picked up at the end, when they started doing finishers and near falls. </p><p> </p><p>

I hope they stay away from Shield/Bryan for a while. I've seen it enough at this point. Did very little for me.</p><p> </p><p>

Skipped the main event. I had been awake for 23 hours. Enough was enough.</p><p> </p><p>

Fun PPV. On the whole, dug it.</p>

Wonder what Rio's turn will do with Dolph, AJ and Big E....the obvious choice WWE would most likely make is just have them turn on him or he turns on them.</p><p> </p><p>

Still left wondering what the HHH/McMahon thing is going to do. A lot don't care and hate when the McMahons are on TV but if they want a callback to the late-attitude era, I'm all for that since it's when I got back into watching wrestling regularly.</p>

<p><strong>Raw Highlights:</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Barrett vs Christian</strong> - Good return match for Captain Charisma. Barrett needs a good feud to keep him relevant.</p><p>

<strong>Rhodes Scholars vs Sheamus</strong> - Decent match and a good result. I wasn't expecting that.</p><p>

<strong>Kane vs Ambrose (US Title)</strong> - Kane is predictable and boring on his own and Ambrose is struggling to compensate. Kane needs to mix up his moveset.</p><p>

<strong>Orton vs Bryan</strong> - Good match until the injury. Should have been a No Contest. Work or real, with Orton being nice at the end, I hope D-Bry goes ape-shit on his ass next week.</p><p>

<strong>Divas</strong> - AJ with the belt, Stephanie chastising AJ, Kaitlyn nip-slip and a decent storyline. Now all we need is some fresh blood from NXT.</p><p>

<strong>Cesaro vs Regal</strong> - I approve of Zeb managing Cesaro. That move where he held Regal upside down on his back was awesome!</p><p>

<strong><strong>Henry troll job</strong></strong><strong> - YES!!! Oscar-worthy performance.</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><strong><strong>Sin Cara vs Curtis Axel</strong></strong><strong> - Decent match but Axel's DDTs looked awkward.</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><strong><strong>Del Rio vs Punk</strong></strong><strong> - You can't go wrong with Punk main eventing Raw. Ending was great with Ziggler and Lesnar.</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><strong><strong>Verdict:</strong></strong><strong> Vince must be giving the creative team some leeway. Perfect follow-up to Payback. Lots of matches, though most of them were average at best. Yeah, I should have prefaced it by saying since 2011, but even still that promo showed a different dimension to him imo. I meant more like why couldn't he have been as good as he's been this decade a decade earlier? Or hell,even in... was it 2006 when they had him fight Angle over the WHC?

 

@jjohns44 I get the feeling it's leading towards a WrestleMania 2000 type deal where they each have a representative in a 3 way match. If Stephanie hadn't added herself into the equation I figured it'd be HHH vs. Vince for control of the company.

<p>Payback thoughts: pretty good show, with a main event that went way too long. Also I hate that they won't even give Ryback a month or two to sink or swim with the belt as a big scary heel champ- when was the last time we had a heel champ that wasn't a sniveling coward? Excluding Punk, who was only cowardly for part of his reign, I've got Batista in 2010 as the last big scary heel (Sheamus was inexplicably cowardly during his reign in 2010). </p><p> </p><p>

Otherwise though, good stuff. I liked the crowd booing Kaitlyn for losing and chanting "you tapped out," it made her mental breakdown acting easier to pull off. Very well-booked double-turn with ADR and Ziggler. I love that ADR is 100% justified in what he did. Ziggler got in the ring, ADR found a weakness and was just ruthless in exploiting it until he won, and for that the crowd turns on him. Punk's return was cool, although Jericho is not the worker he was even a few years ago, and I've never really enjoyed Jericho/Punk matches too much. I did like Jericho's "yeah, baby!" shouting, which caused me to flashback to WCW 1996. Also, can we please replace Jerry Lawler? I cringed when he started talking about Heath Ledger's Joker in re: Dean Ambrose. He's just awful as a babyface announcer. Also I enjoyed the wrestling-style halftime show, even though 1) it's a little weird for Big Show to talk about someone going "too far," and 2) nobody in the segment was as great as Charles Barkely is at "real talk" commentary. On the other hand, no one was as bad as Magic Johnson/Chris Webber/most star athletes who are mediocre commentators. </p><p> </p><p>

Also, can we not have Triple H and Stephanie on TV as babyfaces? It's so crazy that anybody's supposed to cheer these idiots and that we have multiple segments to put over how tough and cool and smart a non-wrestler is at the expense of actual wrestlers. Was it some kind of ironic in-joke that Stephanie McMahon was complaining about a diva degrading women? I mean, Tori is the only woman on the roster Stephanie didn't end up in some hair-pulling catfight with, and that's the high road of a Stephanie feud (the low road is someone getting covered in garbage/food/feces).</p>

I can't picture Steph as much of a heel anymore anyway, she pulled it off the best she could in her "the bitch is back" phase a few years ago... but she's had another(or two?) kid since then, it wouldn't feel the same. But I do have a feeling one of the three between Vince, Steph and HHH will turn heel soon.</p>

<p>@milamber That's an interesting thought,but that storyline, nor AJ at least for now isn't popular enough for Lita or Trish... it wouldn't even be close who people would want to win. If they wanted to use Lita in a realistic way they could have her beat the crap out of Heyman and maybe bring Sable back for... something. Highly doubt she'd be up for that though.</p><p> </p><p>

Survivor Series would be a good time to do that, but in this day and age it'll likely be by SummerSlam.</p><p> </p><p>

@shawn michaels 82 I really want of RPGs what I want out of good wrestling, well paced and engaging storylines. It doesn't happen all the time with either, but when it does that helps me appreciate it more I suppose.</p><p> </p><p>

@lazorbeak and Tha Black Phenom I think for the context of this storyline HHH actually needs to be a face. Given all the stuff he's done as a heel in the past, if he were one now he'd probably just bash Vince's skull in with a sledgehammer and call it a day. Where's the build or intrigue in that?</p>
