Sammy The Shark © vs. Land Mass for the NYCW Tri-State Championship

Land Mass is garbage, but Sammy has potential.

The Ring Generals © vs. Old School Principals for the NYCW Tag Team Championship

This could be a really good feud, I think.

Dazzling Dave Diamond vs. Black Hat Bailey

Don't job out the champion

Whistler vs. Lee Wright

This needs to be a long running feud.

Steve Flash vs. Honest Frank

He's Steve Flash. That's really all the reason I need.

David Mack vs. Ota , The Darkness Warrior in a no disqualification match.

Mack is back! I predict a run-in by the former Jay Darkness, angry at Ota for stealing his ring name.

Actually Raul is the one going around as the Darkness Warrior now. But he sucks so bad he doesn't get out of the independent shows anymore :p:D

And if he did interfere, Ota would just chuck a kunai knife at him and send him running!

NYCW RUMBLE IN THE BRONX

Held at The Ministry in Queens, New York

Saturday Week 2 February 2010 Att: 836

PRE SHOW

In an extremely poor match, The New York Doll and Hugh de Aske defeated Animal Harker and Elijah Harris in 6:11 when Hugh de Aske defeated Elijah Harris by pinfall with a Cut-Throat Driver.

Match Rating D-

Introduction of a couple of our new additions in talented youngster Hugh de Aske, and veteran Elijah Harris. Trying out some combinations for possible tag teams while I get the newcomers used to our style. Hugh and NYD may have potential as they were able to get heat from the crowd, but Harker and Harris, despite both men having good charisma, weren't able to get the audience behind them.

After the match is over, Elijah Harris is walking to the back with Animal Harker when Larry Vessey bursts out of the back and blindsides Harker, evidently not satisfied with the beating he delivered last month. Elijah Harris tries to intervene and Vessey delivers a forearm shot to him as well, saying

" If you want to interfere on his behalf, then you get to take his consequences!"

Vessey then pummels Harris until security drag him off.

Rating D

Following up the attack from last month and expanding the players in the storyline by adding Harris to the mix.

MAIN SHOW

Whistler vs. Lee Wright

Hard hitting match between two tough brawlers. Wright did use the occasional technical move to try and disrupt Whistler's momentum at various points of the match, but mostly it was a back and forth slugfest in which Whistler was able to get the final blow via the Rebel Yell.

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Whistler defeated Lee Wright in 10:18 by pinfall with a Rebel Yell.

Tri-State Champion Sammy the Shark is walking with determination backstage to the ring but as he turns a corner he gets assaulted by his opponent Land Mass! Land Mass is apparently trying to get a cheap advantage as he slams Sammy against the wall and then flattens him with heavy blows from his massive arms. Mass then slings the staggered Sammy over his shoulder and carries him down to the ring to start the match.

Rating D

Building a little hype before the match and utilizing Land Mass's one strength, size.

Sammy The Shark © vs. Land Mass for the NYCW Tri-State Championship

Sammy was already battered by Land Mass's pre match assault and Land Mass continued in the ring right where he left off. Heavy hammer blows were followed by a massive slam as Land Mass tried to put this away quickly. But even beaten and battered, Sammy showed incredible heart and refused to stay down for the three count. Land Mass grew furious when he couldn't put Sammy away and tossed him into the corner and began raining punches down, totally ignoring the referee's instructions to back off. Finally the ref went to grab Land Mass to pull him away, but Mass just backhanded 'NO BS' Bull and Bull had no choice but to call the disqualification.

In an extremely short match, Sammy The Shark defeated Land Mass in 4:14 by disqualification. Sammy The Shark makes defence number 1 of his NYCW Tri-State Regional title.

Match Rating E-

Ouch! Almost everything went wrong with that match that could go wrong! The booking didn't come off well, neither man really looked motivated to give it their best, and on top of that they really just didn't work well together. It's a good thing I was already planning to transition this feud to someone else as I don't think me or anyone else in the Ministry want to sit through those two facing off again.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Ekuma.jpg

After the bell has rung, Land Mass is enraged at the fact he didn't win the title or the match and decides to take his frustration out on an already bruised and beaten Sammy the Shark. But before he can deliver even more punishment to the Tri-State Champion, a massively built behemoth comes running out of the back and slides into the ring! Land Mass quickly forgets about Sammy and goes nose to nose with the unidentified muscular giant. But before this titanic confrontation goes any further, the ring fills with wrestlers and officials from the back to halt any further physicality.

Rating D+

While I haven't decided if I am going to use the name for his persona yet, the giant newcomer is Ekuma the Hawaiian Strong Man. His ring skills are pretty poor, but he has good charisma, undeniable strength and menace due to his 6'6" , 340lb sculpted frame of muscle, and the look of a star. Let's face it, in this business, Size sells. And, with him being half of Land Mass's age, he actually has a chance to get better.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/BlackHatBailey.jpg

Black Hat Bailey is backstage and he is asked whether he considers his opponent tonight Dazzling Dave Diamond as a future Empire Champion. Bailey replies

" Empire Champion? That long haired weirdo?! Don't make me laugh! First, little man, there is only one current and future Empire Champion and that is yours truly, Black Hat Bailey!

This 'Triple D' may have gotten lucky in the past and won the Tri-State title once, but that Texas hillbilly doesn't have what it takes to play with the big boys here in NYCW, a fact I will show tonight when I embarrass that long haired redneck and beat him like his momma should have!"

With that Bailey shoulders the interviewer out of the way and heads towards the ring.

Rating D+

Bailey shows his usual polish in getting heat from the crowd as he runs down the popular Triple D.

Dazzling Dave Diamond vs. Black Hat Bailey

Bailey was contemptuous of his opponent and mocked his attempts to lock up. That contempt lasted right until Triple D decked Bailey with a running clothesline and covered him for a 2 count! Bailey rolled out of the ring to break Diamond's momentum and realized he had a fight on his hands. Now, being more cautious and taking the match seriously, Bailey began taking the big texas brawler to the mat where Diamond was on less familiar territory. Diamond rallied back a couple times, but a thumb to the eyes or a quick knee to the gut stifled those rallies. Bailey put the match away when an errant charge by Diamond took the referee out of action for a few moments. Bailey grabbed some brass knuckles from his boots, blasted Diamond in the back and then locked in the Bailey Breaker in the middle of the ring. The ref recovered just in time to see Diamond tapping out from the pain.

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Black Hat Bailey defeated Dazzling Dave Diamond in 10:36 by submission with a Bailey Breaker after blatantly cheating.

Match Rating D-

While not a great match, as both men were getting winded by the 10 minute mark, both guys managed to get the crowd going for their match and the action itself told a solid story with the rising star Triple D getting a lot of credibility by competing on an even level with the Empire Champion. Bailey is still far above Diamond in terms of name recognition, but being able to put up a credible fight, even while losing, helps raise Triple D's stock.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/NYCW_Tag.jpg

The Ring Generals © vs. Old School Principals for the NYCW Tag Team Championship

Both teams functioned very smoothly with quick, crisp tags. Momentum switched back and forth for several minutes as both teams tried to use a mat based strategy to keep their opponents off balance. After several minutes where neither team could get a lasting edge the action escalated and soon all four men were in the ring. The action quickly traveled to the outside area with Waldorf and Sanders the legal men. As all four men were brawling outside the referee began counting both teams out. As the count reached 7 Waldorf and Sanders realized the situation and tried to make it back into the ring. Sanders tripped up Waldorf and slid under the ropes just as the referee reached 10, getting the victory for his team.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Old School Principals defeated The Ring Generals in 11:16 when Dean Waldorf was counted out while fighting Rick Sanders.

Match Rating D

Good solid match that helps extend this feud a little longer. It seems that this trade Stomper made could bear some fruit as the Ring Generals, despite their young age, demonstrated some of that innate chemistry that marks the truly great tag teams.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/HonestFrank-1.jpg

Honest Frank has a microphone backstage and speaks about his upcoming #1 Contender matchup, saying

" Last month I drove Roger Cage out of NYCW. That little punk was so scared of having to face me again, he hightailed it out of here as fast as he could. And that was probably the smartest thing he has ever done. Tonight I get Mr Remarkable himself, Steve Flash. Flash, you and I have gone toe to toe before. You took the Empire title from me once. Of course, I took it back again. Flash, I already know you aren't smart enough to realize you have no chance against me, especially as you are standing between me and the opportunity to become the Empire Champion once again. So tonight one more time I am going to beat you in that ring, and show everyone one more time that I am the best that NYCW has to offer, and that is the Honest Truth!"

Rating D+

Frank has always been a good talker and nothing has changed in that regard as he delivers a solid promo.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/SteveFlash_alt1.jpg VS http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/HonestFrank-1.jpg

Steve Flash vs. Honest Frank

Flash has always done his talking in the ring, and tonight was no different as he didn't bother to bandy words with the verbose Frank, just took him down in a wristlock. Seeing that he wasn't going to be able to distract the focused Flash with words, the big brawler Frank started to state his case for #1 Contendership with his fists. Momentum swung back and forth as Flash and Frank each tried to get the victory. Finally it looked like Frank had gotten the edge with an offensive flurry of slams and clotheslines setting up the Frank N Hurter, but even as he was being hoisted up, the ever resourceful Flash managed to reverse the move and drop Frank with a lightning quick Flash Bang! Flash made the cover, got the pinfall and the #1 contendership.

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Steve Flash defeated Honest Frank in 17:40 by pinfall with a Flash Bang.

Match Rating D-

Well, something about as rare as a Haley's Comet sighting, Flash having a bad match. While part of it was the longer match, this was just one of those extremely rare matches where Flash just wasn't on for whatever reason and Frank, while he has gotten better in the last couple years, still isn't someone who can carry the load in a match. It was by no means a bad match, but it was well below my expectations, and below what these two men are capable of.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/JackAvatar-1.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/FumihiroOta.jpg

David Mack is out in the ring with a microphone and states

" Can you believe it? I barely arrive back in NYCW and on my very first show back I get confronted with my old nemesis Ota! We have a lot of history Ota, both here and in Canada over the past few years and I can say without a doubt you are probably the most dangerous foe I have ever faced! I would have preferred to ease myself back into NYCW, to learn the lay of the land so to speak, but your presence here makes that impossible. We both know that neither of us can be in the same place without conflict arising between us. Last month proved that. But last month was just old foes getting acquainted again. Tonight, I am deadly serious. I won't let you stand in my way and I won't allow you to have free reign here. I will put an end to your reign of darkness before it ever begins!"

Suddenly the lights go dark, and then the entrance way is lighted in deep red and standing there with a menacing stare locked directly on David Mack is the Warrior of Darkness, Ota.

The video screen above him lights up in a pulsing red and black pattern as an eery deep voice says

" The Warrior of Darkness has travelled the world testing his skill against the best that every country has to offer. He has defeated all challengers, except one. One man alone has managed to maintain equality with the Warrior of Darkness and that man is David Mack. When the Warrior was informed that David Mack was returning to the site of their titanic clashes one more time, the Warrior knew that it was time to finally triumph over the one man standing in his path and finally usher in the Reign of Darkness over all of NYCW!"

Ota then makes his way to the ring to start the match.

Rating C-

Good hype on both ends to set up the main event. Ota has mastered the indirect promo even though he speaks english like a native ( which he is, having been raised in California.)

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/JackAvatar-1.jpg VS http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/FumihiroOta.jpg

David Mack vs. Ota , The Darkness Warrior in a no disqualification match.

There was no feeling out period this time as both men went straight into trying to beat the other down. Holds, counterholds, moves, reversals, submissions and escapes followed in rapid order, reinforcing the fact that these two wrestlers were practically even. Mack's all around skill compensated for the experience edge of Ota, but Ota did have one advantage. With this being a no dq stipulation, Ota was free to utilize all the ninja tactics ( i.e. cheating ) that he had learned over the years, and it was only Mack's heart and will to succeed that kept him fighting through the various dirty tricks and cheap shots that Ota used to try and win the match. Eventually the match went to the outside as both men fought up the entrance way and into the first couple rows of stands. However, since both men were engrossed in taking the battle to each other, both forgot that even though this was a no dq match, countouts were still in effect, so neither noticed the referee's ten count till it was too late. The referee hit 10 on his count, signalled for the bell and declared the match a draw.

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, David Mack drew with Ota, Warrior of Darkness in 22:52 following a double count out.

Match Rating C

It was the best match of the night, but still not as good as it possibly could have been. Just like Flash earlier, Ota just didn't seem to have his 'A' game tonight. We were so familiar with each other that I was able to compensate and keep things flowing smoothly, but we have had much better confrontations before, and given the current storyline, will have the opportunity to do so again.

After the match, frustrated that once again he was unable to get a conclusive result David Mack gets in the ring, and grabs a mike. He shouts into it at the Warrior of Darkness, Ota, who is walking up the entrance way to the ramp and states...

" Ota! This is enough! Next month at March into Manhatten, we end this! You and me, one on one, no disqualification and no countout! No time limits, no weapons, no interference! Just your skill against mine in a submission match! What do you say Warrior of Darkness? Do you have the will to face me on those terms?!"

Ota just turns back, locks eyes with David Mack in the ring, and then after a momentary staredown, just nods his head up and down, signalling yes and then walks to the back.

Rating D

Well, not as solid an ending as I would have liked. I probably should have kept this for the beginning of next month and let the match end the show, but I wanted people to be anticipating that there would be a real finish and not expecting another draw.

OVERALL SHOW D+

A notch below last month due to some uncharacteristic off nights from a couple of our biggest stars but still a very good show. Feedback afterwards once again had the fans saying the show was awesome and comparable to offerings of promotions larger than us.

Yay Ekuma ! This guys is made for NYCW, really. His wrestling skills are not there yet, but with enough time, I'm sure he will be a great asset. At least, it was an off-night for Flash, not an awful chemistry thing, it would have suck to get that between these two key players. Match might have been a bit too long for Frank too. Just curious, did you tell the guys to go all out ? 'Cause each time I do tell Flash to go all-out, he falls miserably under the pressure.

No i didn't have him go all out, just a regular match at 18 minutes. That used to be fine for people with C stamina, but it looks like that isnt the case anymore, at least not at NYCW's match intensity level.

I like Ekuma too...he worked well in the mid-card face giant for me....I loved your diaries back in 08....and glad to be back reading them again....

Welcome back! :)

13 predictors this time around. thanks for all the response. No one got them all, so its nice to know I am not predictable yet. :D Everyone got Sammy winning and Steve Flash beating Frank, most went with Whistler although a couple did side with Wright in that match and a few thought Triple D would upset Bailey. That wasn't likely given their current overness level differences, but even losing gives Diamond some rub. But everyone missed the tag match and surprisingly it was 12-1 in favor of Ota beating David Mack.

OSP won the tag match so I can extend that feud as they and the Ring Generals are really the only established tag teams currently, since the third team NYCW starts with fell apart when Cage left. I am trying out some combinations to get some other viable teams but for now those two pretty much are my tag division.

Also, as I stated before the first few months of a promotion, especially one only doing monthly shows, are setting the stage as there really isnt any previous storylines to draw on. Which is why Ota vs Mack is the main event for 3 months running. Its a guaranteed high rating match, with established history for the feud and gives me a main event I can count on early while I am building up the rest of the storylines. As to why two straight draws? Not to swerve the predictors, honest. :p I want to show that these two competitors are so even that a normal match can't decide things. Plus whoever loses has still built up some solid credibility.

Monday Morning Week 3 Feb 2010 2 days after Rumble in the Bronx

“ You are doing what?!”

“ I am taking a position with SWF effective immediately “

We were in Stomper’s office Monday morning following the show for our usual after show evaluation when he sprung this bombshell on me. I paced back and forth in front of his desk for a couple minutes as my mind tried to absorb this news. Here I was, barely back two months and now I was faced with the man I looked up to most in this business, the owner of this company and the rock it had been built on for the last two decades, calmly telling me he was about to go work for the biggest promotion in the US, if not the world!

Finally, I sat down and stated

“ Why would you do that Stomper? For years you wanted nothing to do with most of the other promotions. Hell, outside of Chord’s MAW, you won’t even let me talk to any of the others about possible working agreements. Not to mention the vast list of talents that promotions like SWF have plucked from you after all the work you invested with them. American Buffalo, Joey Minnesota, American Machine, Nevada Nuclear, and just last month alone Roger Cage! All people you took the time to give them a place to develop or gave them a main event push, and all of them gone as soon as one of the bigger promotion waved some cash in their face! And now you are doing the same thing? What about NYCW?! I thought this place was your dream!”

Stomper started to get a little angry and said

“ Now hold on a minute! I am not abandoning NYCW! In fact I only agreed to take a contract with them if they allowed me to also remain as head of NYCW. It is a strictly ppa deal only. Also, I am 60 years old and I don’t have a lot of time left in this business. This is an opportunity I never got while I was in the ring, a chance to work at the top, with the very best in the business while they are in their prime! I just couldn’t pass that up! The opportunity to plan match strategies with a Rich Money or a Jack Bruce or a Christian Faith. Don’t get me wrong kid, I am very proud of the people we have and the effort they give, but the people there are the movers and shakers of our business! I’ve always gotten people who were either starting out, or on the back end of their careers. Now I get to work with people literally at the top of their game. It’s an opportunity for even an old warhorse like me to learn some new things to pass on to the youngsters here."

Stomper calmed down a little and paused for breath before he continued

“ And the truth is there really isn’t that much for me to do here. You and Steve can plan a match for the boys just as well as I can. You are here to keep an eye on the day to day stuff and Bailey and Flash can ride herd on the boys. Besides, I will still be here for our shows and I will still have my hand in on the operations. After all , I will only be a phone call away if you need anything.”

After listening to Stomper’s reasons, I still wasn’t happy about it, but I said

“ If that is what you feel you have to do Stomp, then I won’t try to stand in your way. Just don’t forget us here and don’t believe everything Richard Eisen says. We both know he is a manipulative bastard who isn’t above using underhanded means to get what he wants. You wouldn’t be the first promotion owner he has screwed over.”

“ Don’t worry kid, I won’t let the bright lights go to my head. After all, I live in the biggest city in the country already, and I have worked all over the world. I know enough to judge a man by his actions and not his words. And I won’t forget that my roots and my home is here in NYCW. Just see that you don’t forget it again as well.”

If SWF was bringing in Stomper as another road agent, it must mean they are getting ready to expand their operations again, and as such, are probably adding some more workers. If that’s the case, there will be waves throughout the rest of the American wrestling scene. So it was time to take a close look at the happenings in the rest of the wrestling world the last month and see what the fallout was.

February 2010

News

  • SWF have attained Global size. The acknowledged largest promotion in wrestling has just gotten larger and that means every other promotion will be affected directly or indirectly as SWF looks to expand their roster to meet their new expansion needs.
  • 19yr old Donte Dunn has graduated from the DeColt Powerhouse Dojo. Possessed of incredible athleticism and a great wrestling look, but still lacking in skill and style in the ring. CGC obviously want to see him get some seasoning on the independent circuit first as they haven’t offered the graduate a contract.
  • 20 yr old technicican Omezo Shiketai enters the Japanese wrestling market this month. Has strong technical skills and good physical tools, but decidedly average looks and charisma. May be unlikely to be a headliner but shows good potential to be one of those valuable workers that can make others look good..
  • Young bodybuilder Richie ‘The Body’ Riggins is looking to turn his oiled pecs into wrestling stardom as he enters the business in the USA this month. A good physique is paired with decent charisma and a good ‘look’ but he needs to improve his average skills in the ring and lack of ability to do more than basic brawling if he wants the successful future he craves.
  • Super joshi rookie Fuyuko Higa enters Japanese wrestling this month and 5SSW wasted no time in getting this budding superstar signed to a contract. She has been highly touted as the ‘next big thing’ in Japanese women’s wrestling.
  • Daniel Cano and Mario Heroic are male bonding in MPWF.
  • With their new status, SWF expands their ppv market by signing a deal with Seleccion Mexico to bring their PPV’s to the latino community south of the border.
  • WLW have decided to increase their visibility in Japan by getting a television deal to air their tour highlights on a show called WLW Combat.

March 2nd 2010 in Stomper’s office

“ So how were the financials last month?”

“ Not bad. We got a few more people at the Ministry, and even with the extra people we added, we still made close to a 3k profit.”

Stomper and I were doing our monthly budget review, and of course, news of profit is always near and dear to his heart.

Stomper continued with

“ So how is the March into Manhattan show shaping up?”

I replied

“ It looks good. We got a big title match co main eventing with the blow off match between Ota and me. A couple undercard feuds are shaping up, and if I am lucky, we may be able to expand the number of active tag teams we have. Speaking of which, I know you don’t want to add any more payroll till we can get some increased sponsorship money, but one name came across my radar that I think would be a good fit.”

I slid a folder across the desk to Stomper. He took a look at it and stated

“ He’s available now? How much is he asking?”

“ Surprisingly not much. About the same as our other recent hires. So, shall I make the call?”

“ Sure, go ahead. But no one else for awhile unless we got to replace somebody. We are making money finally, and I’d like to keep it that way. Now get me the planned line up for March into Manhattan so I can layout some match strategies for Steve and Bailey to work on with the boys while I am at the SWF tapings.”

Oddly in Stomper's second line you spell Manhattan with an E (ManhattEn) but in his last line you spell in correctly. I'm from New York I notice those things when talking about my city.

Yeah, I noticed I misspelled it on my word doc. Guess I missed one when I went back to correct it.

From the NYCW Website….

NYCW Rumble in the Bronx held thrills, chills, and some new faces grace the NYCW roster. One of those is returning veteran Elijah ‘Soul Man’ Harris, who had a rude welcome when he tried to intervene during an assault on his partner Animal Harker by Larry Vessey. Vessey decided to include Harris in the physical confrontation. Another new face was the massive man known only as Ekuma. The giant mound of muscle interjected himself into a situation between Tri-State Champion Sammy the Shark and the Round Mound of Pound, Land Mass. Also Triple D Dave Diamond looked impressive , even in defeat as Empire Champion Black Hat Bailey had to utilize underhanded means to put down the scrappy challenger. In a battle of former Empire Champions, Steve Flash overcame Honest Frank to earn another shot at the Empire Championship, while former Tag Champions Old School Principles won the match but not the belts via a countout win over the current champs The Ring Generals. And in the main event, long time foes David Mack and Warrior of Darkness Ota once again fought to an inconclusive result. All of this sets the stage for titanic clashes at NYCW MARCH INTO MANHATTAN!

Animal Harker & Elijah Harris vs. Larry Vessey & Lee Wright.

After Vessey assaulted both Harris and Harker last month, Harris has petitioned for a tag match against Vessey and a partner of his choosing. Vessey has chosen fellow veteran Lee Wright. Both men share a past as successful members of dominant tag teams and both have had a history of success in Japan. Will those shared bonds be enough to overcome the desire for vengeance that binds Harker and Harris?

The Ring Generals© vs. Old School Principals for the NYCW Tag Team titles

OSP got the victory, but not the titles last time, and now look to regain the belts from the young champions. The Ring Generals want to show that last month was a fluke, and they have what it takes to not only win the belts, but keep them. Who will march out of Manhattan with the tag titles?

Sammy the Shark vs. Honest Frank

Although no titles are on the line, the stakes are still high. Frank wants to get back into Empire title contention and an impressive win over the Tri-State Champion would be a good first step, while Sammy the Shark could further enhance his own stock by defeating a former Empire Champion and move himself up the ladder.

Steve Flash vs. Black Hat Bailey© for the NYCW Empire Championship

Flash has earned another shot at the Empire Championship he once wore with an impressive string of recent victories. Bailey has shown he will resort to any means to win a match and retain his title. Experience is not an issue as both men have well over 2 decades in the ring. It comes down to technical excellence vs. the will to win by any means necessary. Which will prevail and emerge with the NYCW Empire Championship?

David Mack vs. Ota, Warrior of Darkness in a Submission Match.

Twice they have met in the past two month and twice the result has been a draw. Now, with no count out, no disqualifications and no time limits, they meet again and this time there will be a winner as the only way to end the match is to submit your opponent. Which one of these bitter rivals will claim superiority?

Some intriguing possibilities here

Animal Harker & Elijah Harris vs. Larry Vessey & Lee Wright.

See Harker doing the job here, as Vessey seems on the verge of a minor push

The Ring Generals© vs. Old School Principals for the NYCW Tag Team titles

I am sure you have plans for the Generals to eventually lose the belts, just not to these two, who I don't think would elevate the Title.

Sammy the Shark vs. Honest Frank

Tough one here, thinking Frank will go over and be in line to face the soon to be new Champion

Steve Flash vs. Black Hat Bailey© for the NYCW Empire Championship

With Bailey on the down side of a great career and Flash having one more good run left, I see a Title change.

David Mack vs. Ota, Warrior of Darkness in a Submission Match.

I don't see another draw and I think an Ota win raises the the stakes in this feud.

Animal Harker & Elijah Harris vs. Larry Vessey & Lee Wright

Vessey and Wright need to win a couple times, or else a Harker/Harris victory will mean nothing.

The Ring Generals© vs. Old School Principals for the NYCW Tag Team titles

You can run this feud for as long as you want.

Sammy the Shark vs. Honest Frank

Why not have the belt on the line if Sammy is going to win?

Steve Flash vs. Black Hat Bailey© for the NYCW Empire Championship

I bet BHB announced his retirement.

David Mack vs. Ota, Warrior of Darkness in a Submission Match.

Quit breaking indy wrestling tradition!

Grizzled old vets for the win

I said before you may as well keep the belts on the Ring Generals for the forseeable future

Sammy the Shark vs. Honest Frank

A match to firmly establish the split between those competing for the Empire belt and those competing for the midcard consolation prize.

Steve Flash vs. Black Hat Bailey© for the NYCW Empire Championship

Get the belt back on someone who isn't going to be huffing and puffing by the ten minute mark.

David Mack vs. Ota, Warrior of Darkness in a Submission Match

Could go either way, but I'm leaning towards Ota here, simply because I see the winner here challenging for the title and I see Flash winning the belt from Bailey.
