Yes the outline generally is the colour of your background. Black works well for those who use one or two spotlights because the outline blends with the shadow, but I found that it didn't work great when I was doing the more realistic looking lighting setup - It just made a distinct black outline instead. I made a habit of rendering at 300x300 with the TEW background as the scene background and it worked well. Also sockpuppet, your renders are awesome looking. Might I suggest zooming in a bit more and moving the workers up a bit on the background? Just look at how a few other renders are placed and you'll get a decent idea. Just gives a better indication of the size of the worker and allows for better detail to be shown. Also, find a basic standing pose somewhere to use for basic shots. The arms up default pose is a little noticeable in a few of those. These are all nitpicks on some excellent work though! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
sockpuppet Posted June 1, 2011 Share Posted June 1, 2011 The Dan DaLay render you're referring to (I think anyway) is actually a double bicep flex but there wasn't enough room for his forearms and hands. I never use the default pose. As far as moving the models up on the background a bit, the reason I place them where they are is that I'm still not really comfortable with my framing. I don't want the result coming out so small that the final product loses detail. Jaime Quine was really only the first or second one I did where you can see anything below her shoulders and that was only because I wanted to get my t-shirt design in there. I'd imagine it might take some time so for now I'm gonna hold off on more than just this one request. I really hope it can be done King Kong Kennedy as Bam Bam Bigelow... If we can add the facial hair and the head tattoo and the flaming body suit... that would be friggen awesome. The wrestling gear I favor of Bam Bam's is the old school black with the yellow and red flames... I know this may be a tough one... I'd love to see if some of the more talented artists here can give it their best. Thank you for your time and consideration, I really do appreciate it alot and for my part the great art does inspire me to play the game better/harder and in terms of the diary i'm working on it definitely inspires me there too. It is based on a Mayan design, in my defence (and I had to redraw the entire thing myself). At least I didn't get rid of the mullet. JHD1 i will never forget those graphics you made i still use them all the time i never ever ever ever will disrespect an artist! you guys who put the time into these graphics are all insanely talented. i really admire all of you guys work alot and stuff done for me, i always appreciate. sock puppet, jhd1, both of you guys have done stuff for me that i am insanely greatful for but also i dont have a shred of the artist talent the people who create and post pics up here have i admire all of you artists. youre all insanely talented. i wish i could do what you all do, kam, jhd, sockpuppet, so many talented people here, imo could definitely do professional grade graphic design. just my opinion and i have infinite respect for artists. infinite.... you know... scientologists worship artists.....im not a scientologist tho...... I book J.Ro much like I'd book Sarah Stock (obviously stunning but trying to get people to look beyond that) Honestly, I'd book Victoria Stone much like I'd book Nattie Neidhart so that comparison would fit better for me. You're right about that. But I just meant J-Ro's skills in-game would be an insult to Sarah Stock, as she's obviously more talented then a J-Ro. Aside from that, I get the picture. I wasn't talking about looks, as obviously 'Sarita' would get a big A there. But seriously, I guess it's all just susceptible to subjectivity. Victoria Stone & Neidhart would be a nice comparison indeed (if we exclude the render). @ JHD: Though I LOVE the whole 'trading cards' look on the renders, could you please post the GIF's or PNG's so they could be used in WMMA?
