I swear I'll fill his car with concrete and take a sledge hammer to him. :D

Triple H fake account spotted.;)

EDIT:

Considering my streak, I'm gonna trip during my entrance, knock myself out on the steps, and lose in 12 seconds. (Gotta count for time to move my big tookus away from the ropes.

Nah. 12 seconds via countout is about right.

Season One, Week Eight

July 23, 2010

EARLIER TODAY

The scene fades in to one of the parking lots at the Verizon Center. A white SUV rounds a corner in the distance, coming towards the foreground before pulling into a parking spot. The door opens to reveal Nuclear Templeton emerging from the vehicle, duffel bag already in hand as he closes the door and walks toward the arena. As he nears the door, however, he is blindsided by Robbie Maynard, who was lying in wait for him. Maynard throws Templeton face-first into the side of the building, and then drags him to the concrete with the Merseyside Maul, which he locks in tight. Templeton stifles a groan, trying not to give Maynard the satisfaction of hearing him in pain.

Robbie Maynard: Let this be a lesson to you, Phil. I am better than you, I dominated you in our match, and you only got lucky. (He wrenches back on the hold, increasing the pressure as security comes out of the building to break up the carnage.) You can't live on luck forever, Phil, and I will be there to rip you apart when you realize it!

Maynard finally releases the hold as security swarm him, forcibly separating him from Templeton. Nuclear is slow to get up before finally doing so, one hand holding his neck due to the effects of the submission hold he was just trapped in. His eyes, however, tell a different story—Maynard will pay for this.

And on that note, the camera fades to black.

Live from Washington, DC!

Pyro explodes from the stage as the fans erupt in cheers. A cursory scan of the arena shows more signs than can be read in such a short amount of time. The arena seems to be abuzz with energy, as we cut to our announcers at ringside.

Bob Sinclair: Welcome to the Verizon Center in Washington, DC! Bob Sinclair, joined as always by Frankie Garnett, and tonight marks the beginning of the second half of the season, Frankie!

Frankie Garnett: And if the second half is anything like the first, then the next seven weeks will be where the stars truly show why they are the best, Bob. I can't wait!

Bob Sinclair: We're not going to make you at home wait, either. Let's head to the ring and our opening match of the night!

BETA DIVISION MATCH: Robbie Maynard (5-2) vs. SGRaaize (2-5)

Instead of the usual silence that the audience has grown accustomed to, the opening guitar riffs of Metallica's "Master of Puppets" hits the speakers as the first participant of the contest comes out.

Amelia Williams: Our opening contest is a Beta Division match scheduled for one fall! Approaching the ring, from Liverpool, England, weighing 251 pounds...Robbie Maynard!

Amelia Williams: Here is your winner, at a time of seven and a half minutes...Robbie Maynard!

Bob Sinclair: Maynard was on the defensive for most of the match; one would think that Raaize is kicking himself for not pressing the advantage further.

Frankie Garnett: No, it just means that nothing is stopping Maynard tonight, Bob! If the people in the back were smart, they wouldn't have any reason to get in his way tonight!

BETA DIVISION MATCH: Tarik Nolan (5-2) vs. Breaker (4-3)

"Regulate" hits the speakers to signify that the next match is about to begin.

Bob Sinclair: With Maynard winning earlier, Nolan needs to do the same in order to remain tied record-wise for the Beta Division lead.

Frankie Garnett: On the flip side, if Breaker wins here, both he and Nolan will be one match behind Maynard, which could make for an interesting race as we go on!

Once again the expected silence is shattered, this time by Slipknot's "Wait and Bleed" as Tarik's opponent comes out.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, weighing 251 pounds...Breaker!

Bob Sinclair: Breaker's put on a little bit of a streak here; he's won his last four matches. He's definitely picked a good time to get on a roll, as he closes to a match behind the leader!

Diamond (2-5) vs. The Phoenix (2-5)

Frankie Garnett: Oh, good, it's bathroom break time. Bob, I'll be—

The sound of a set of handcuffs closing cuts off the remainder of his sentence.

Frankie Garnett: What the hell?!

Bob Sinclair: Commissioner's orders, Frankie. You're not going anywhere for this match.

Frankie Garnett: That's not fair!

Bob Sinclair: Well if you did your job properly, we wouldn't be at this point. Amelia, take it away!

"Oh, it's time to rock and roll..."

The opening lyric is enough to send the crowd into a jeering frenzy, as the first participant in the match walks out with a confident smirk on her face.

Frankie Garnett: Dammit, Bob, let me out of these things!

Bob Sinclair: You want out so badly? Call the match properly and I'll see what I can do. In any event, Diamond is walking into the lion's den yet again. Last time it was Johnny Triumph, this time it's the largest man in the League. Can she make it two times running?

Season One, Week Nine:

July 24, 2010

http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/ae344/ShadowedFlames/GDS%20League%20Stuff/BeyondRingsideBanner.jpg

Hello, everyone! Tori Montgomery here, and how about that 41-minute marathon last night? Those two men are going to be sore and tired today, I can promise you. However, the show must go on here at Beyond Ringside, and as such we start with...

Comments from Ringside

Two divisions are separated by a two-match differential. With only seven matches to go, is it likely that someone's going to overtake the top spot? --V. Leonard, Brooklyn, NY

Possible, yes. Likely? Not in my book. The only one I see in danger is the Gamma Division, as I pointed out last week.

What is your take in Robbie Maynard causing all of these incidents at shows? --J. Brock, Helena, MT

He enjoys the fights, from what I can tell, and losing a number of exhibition matches doesn't mean anything to him since they're not League matches. If he had his way, he'd try to get one a week.

How surprised were you at the under-three-minute match last week? N. Inabikarino, Tokyo

Stunned is the more correct term. I didn't expect to see that happen, and if Templeton hadn't come out to challenge Maynard I shudder to think what may have happened.

STANDINGS AFTER WEEK EIGHT

ALPHA DIVISION

1. Nuclear Templeton (6-2, 4.75 / C+ match rating)

2. The British Warrior (4-4, 2.38 / D match rating)

3. Maxx Skabb (4-4, 5.75 / B- match rating)

4. The Phoenix (2-6, 4.25 / C match rating)

Because Warrior and Skabb have yet to face each other, Warrior's 3-0 divisional record gives him the advantage.

BETA DIVISION

1. Robbie Maynard (6-2, 3.88 / C match rating)

2. Breaker (5-3, 3.50 / C match rating)

3. Tarik Nolan (5-3, 3.63 / C match raing)

4. SGRaaize (2-6, 3.50 / C match rating)

Tie-breaker is head-to-head: Breaker beat Nolan last week.

GAMMA DIVISION

1. Sean (5-3, 4.88 / C+ match rating)

2. Shawn Arrows (3-5, 4.88 / C+ match rating)

3. Johnny Triumph (3-5, 6.63 / B match rating)

4. Diamond (3-5, 6.25 / B- match rating)

I’ve been informed by League Commissioner Colt Marshall that due to the fact that Arrows and Triumph have yet to face each other, head-to-head record does not apply, and tie-breaker is determined by divisional record, which is something I erred on last week. Arrows gets second due to a 3-1 Gamma Division record. Triumph and Diamond have split their season series, and both are 1-3 in the division. Match rating is the third tie-breaker, which Triumph wins by almost half a point.

This week, The League makes its’ final trip to Canada for the season, as we come from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Let’s take a look at the card.

Week Nine: Halifax, Nova Scotia (The Maritimes), Canada

(Regular match, ref bumps allowed, match can be stopped for blood loss)

ALPHA DIVISION: Maxx Skabb (4-4, 15%) vs. The Phoenix (2-6, 15%)

I just cannot see this as much of a match. Phoenix seems to have packed it in for the season, and Maxx will easily take advantage.

Tori’s Prediction: Maxx Skabb via pinfall (Lethal Injection), 7:10, D

Breaker (5-3, 15%) vs. Shawn Arrows (3-5, 15%)

This should be a good match that will be determined by size. Breaker in a surprisingly good match.

Tori’s Prediction: Breaker via pinfall (Dream Breaker), 14:00, B-

Tarik Nolan (5-3, 15%) vs. Sean (5-3, 15%)

This might be closer than some think, but I have Tarik with a desperation finisher for the win.

Tori’s Prediction: Tarik Nolan, via pinfall (Regulator), 11:40, C-

SGRaaize (2-6, 15%) vs. Diamond (3-5, 15%)

Diamond’s coming off her second major upset of the season. I do not see her momentum stopping just yet.

Tori’s Prediction: Diamond, via pinfall (Diamond in the Sky), 9:40, C+

Robbie Maynard (6-2, 15%) vs. Johnny Triumph (3-5, 15%)

Match of the night right here. Maynard stays atop the Beta Division with a submission victory.

Tori’s Prediction: Robbie Maynard via submission (Merseyside Maul), 21:10, A

ALPHA DIVISION: Nuclear Templeton (6-2, 15%) vs. The British Warrior (4-4, 15%)

The so-called “Alpha Male”—don’t ask me, that’s the name I’ve heard people in the crowd use for him—should nearly put his division out of reach this week.

Tori’s Prediction: Nuclear Templeton via pinfall (Armageddon Lariat), 9:30, C-

We head across the pond next week; cannot wait for it. Until then, this is Tori Montgomery...so long from ringside!

Season One, Week Nine

July 30, 2010

The commissioner took the steps two at a time, surprising many of the fans coming into the arena as he climbed towards the skybox level. This was an unexpected trip—no one knew before tonight that he would be in attendance.

Reaching the appropriate level, he forced himself to collect his breath before knocking on the door once and opening it. The figure of The League's de facto owner stood at the window, facing away from the commissioner as he watched the fans file in.

"You wanted to see me, sir?"

"Yes, Colt. I hear that tensions are high backstage."

"Nothing more than overly competitive athletes trying to make the playoffs, sir."

"One in particular, perhaps. Besides the fine you wanted taken care of, is there anything else concerning Mr. Maynard that I should be aware of?"

Colt paused, weighing his words carefully. "He's a maverick, sir. He's always trying to goad the other wrestlers into exhibition matches. Quite simply, the man loves to fight and would go out there twice a week if we let him. I've talked to the other wrestlers on the sly, and asked them to keep a level head when it comes to Mr. Maynard."

"Very good. On another subject, how goes the Virtual Arena project?"

"Ahead of schedule, sir. We're running tests this week to ensure that everything is ready to go come the end of September. It will be ready for the playoffs."

"Good. I'm already in talks with current arena owners to rotate the location of this arena on a per-season basis. I don't need to tell you what can result from this going as planned."

"Indeed, sir. If that will be all, I should return to my office, the show will be starting shortly."

"Very well, Colt. I'll be in touch."

The commissioner nodded, and turned to leave as the figure remained at the window. From this point, he could look down at the crowd, feel the enthusiasm radiating from them, and smile contently. This is what he dreamed of, so long ago.

And at the moment, nothing would stop him from seeing this ideal realized.

The requisite pyro show erupts on the stage, drawing cheers from the crowd as the camera shifts to ringside.

Bob Sinclair: Welcome to the Halifax Metro Centre, and week nine of The League! Bob Sinclair, here at ringside as always with my broadcast colleague Frankie Garnett, and tonight the focus begins to shift towards the post-season, Frankie. After tonight, there will only be five weeks of action before the post-season, and it's time to put up or shut, as the saying goes.

Frankie Garnett: That's right, Bob. Everyone technically is still alive in the playoff hunt, but realistically speaking there's only seven or eight wrestlers with a hope of making the playoffs. You have to imagine that some of the League members are looking to play spoiler in the coming weeks!

Bob Sinclair: Indeed, and one can only imagine the tension backstage as these next few weeks narrow the field down to our champion. Let's not waste any more time, and send it to Amelia Williams to get our first match of the night under way!

ALPHA DIVISION: Maxx Skabb (4-4) vs. The Phoenix (2-6)

Disturbed's "The Night" hits the speakers as the first participant in the match comes out to a mixed reaction, despite the majority of the fans jeering him.

Amelia Williams: Our opening contest is an Alpha Division bout scheduled for one fall! Approaching the ring, from the Orange County Correctional Facility, weighing 291 pounds...Maxx Skabb!

Bob Sinclair: Skabb comes in two matches behind division leader Nuclear Templeton and one match out of the wild card position currently held by Breaker; this is a must-win if he wants to remain in contention.

Frankie Garnett: At least he has an easy opponent to make it happen this week.

There is a brief pause before the opening chord of "The Instinct" hits, to complete and utter silence from the crowd.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from The End of Nowhere, weighing 367 pounds...The Phoenix!

Frankie Garnett: I don't know why he's even showing up anymore, Bob. He's four matches out of the division lead, and a loss here guarantees a non-winning season for him. He's much like his hometown baseball team—he sucks!

Bob Sinclair: Hard to argue that point, I'm afraid—Phoenix has been less than impressive this season, which is leading many to think that he's past his prime.

Bob Sinclair: From out of nowhere, Skabb hits the finisher! Phoenix looked to have the match well in hand, Frankie!

Frankie Garnett: Just goes to prove my point—Phoenix is just a waste of a roster position.

Bob Sinclair: In any event, the pressure is now on Templeton to keep the lead at two matches, as Skabb pulls out a much-needed win!

Breaker (5-3) vs. Shawn Arrows (3-5)

Once again the expected silence is shattered, this time by Slipknot's "Wait and Bleed."

Amelia Williams: This contest is scheduled for one fall! Approaching the ring, weighing 251 pounds...Breaker!

Bob Sinclair: Breaker's got to be feeling a little pressure now—he came in with the wild card position due to a tie-breaker, but with Skabb winning and Tarik Nolan yet to wrestle, it's got the be in the back of his mind that he needs a win here to keep the potential fourth seed in the postseason.

Frankie Garnett: I think we've only just started to see what Breaker's made of. Just watch.

The opening strains of Linkin Park's "Numb" usher in the opponent for this contest.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Raleigh, North Carolina, weighing 212 pounds...Shawn Arrows!

Bob Sinclair: Arrows is within a group of people trailing Gamma Division leader Sean by two matches; is he in a must-win situation?

Frankie Garnett: Almost. A loss here and he will be come next week, especially if Sean wins. That'd put Arrows three matches behind both the division leader and the wild card holder with five to go. Those are basically impossible odds.

Tarik Nolan (5-3) vs. Sean (5-3)

Bob Sinclair: Our next match is another one with serious playoff implications as a possibility. It's the Gamma Division leader Sean facing Tarik Nolan, who came in tonight a tiebreaker away from the wild card position.

Frankie Garnett: I think Sean's the one under more pressure here. He's got a division lead in arguably the League's weakest division, and everyone else is two matches behind him. A loss here and he opens the door for the others to catch up. This should be interesting.

The bell sounds. "Regulate" hits the speakers to signify that the next match is about to begin.

Amelia Williams: Our next contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first...from Shreveport, Louisiana, weighing 292 pounds...Tarik Nolan!

Bob Sinclair: Nolan looks rather confident tonight, Frankie.

Frankie Garnett: He's facing a Gamma Division opponent, Bob. He's 2-0 against them this season; he's looking for number three tonight!

Black Sabbath's classic "Iron Man" hits the speakers to announce the entrance of Nolan's opponent.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Charlotte, North Carolina, weighing 230 pounds...Sean!

Bob Sinclair: A win here all but seals up the Gamma Division for Sean, especially if Triumph and Diamond both lose later on.

Frankie Garnett: In a division with Maynard, Nolan, and Breaker? Yeah, kid has little chance.

"Oh, it's time to rock and roll..."

The opening lyric is enough to send the crowd into a jeering frenzy, as the opponent walks out with a confident smirk on her face.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Aberdeen, Scotland, weighing 132 pounds...Diamond!

Frankie Garnett: Could it also be that Maynard's been in several exhibition matches in a row, and it could be fatigue?

Bob Sinclair: If it is, that could change the playoff race dramatically! We'll find out more in the coming weeks.

Season One, Week Ten

July 31, 2010

http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/ae344/ShadowedFlames/GDS%20League%20Stuff/BeyondRingsideBanner.jpg

Hello once again, League fans, and welcome to the rush for the post-season! Tori Montgomery here, and the playoff picture got more crowded after last night's show. We'll cover that, and more, as usual.

Because of a rather light mailbag this week, Comments From Ringside will be skipped this week, which leaves more room for playoff pandering. Instead, we'll start off the week with...

SEASON STANDINGS AFTER WEEK NINE

ALPHA DIVISION

1. Nuclear Templeton (6-3, 4.22 / C match rating)

2. The British Warrior (5-4, 2.11 / D match rating)

3. Maxx Skabb (5-4, 5.78 / B- match rating)

4. The Phoenix (2-7, 4.44 / C match rating)

Because Warrior and Skabb have yet to face each other, Warrior's 4-0 divisional record gives him the advantage.

BETA DIVISION

1. Robbie Maynard (6-3, 3.44 / C- match rating)

2. Breaker (6-3, 3.67 / C match rating)

3. Tarik Nolan (5-4, 3.33 / C- match raing)

4. SGRaaize (3-6, 4.22 / C match rating)

Tie-breaker is head-to-head: Maynard beat Breaker in week two.

GAMMA DIVISION

1. Sean (6-3, 4.44 / C match rating)

2. Johnny Triumph (4-5, 5.89 / B- match rating)

3. Shawn Arrows (3-6, 4.89 / C+ match rating)

4. Diamond (3-6, 6.67 / B match rating)

Tie-breaker is head-to-head: Arrows swept the series against Diamond (weeks 1 and 7).

THE HUNT FOR SEPTEMBER: THE PLAYOFF CHASE

"Sure, the standings by divisions may look good, but what about the overall playoff picture?"

We'll take care of that right here. Twelve wrestlers vying for four spots. The top three seeds go to the divisional winners, with ties broken in the same manner as divisional records. The wrestler with the best record after the divisional winners are crowned earns the wild card spot, with ties once again broken in the same manner.

With that said, following is the full ranking of all twelve League members, and their opponents for the next two weeks:

#1 Seed: Robbie Maynard (6-3, 3-0 Beta Division, 3.44 Match Rating)

* As mentioned above, Robbie has the divisional lead due to head-to-head. Because all of the divisional leaders have not wrestled each other, the divisional record is the tie-breaker, which Robbie wins with an undefeated mark within the Beta Division. Of the three top seeds, this one is actually the one most in jeopardy, as second place in the Beta Division also shares a 6-3 record, though Robbie has the tie-breaker.

* Next opponents: Breaker (6-3), First Blood vs. The Phoenix (2-7)

#2 Seed: Sean (6-3, 3-1 Gamma Division, 4.44 Match Rating)

* Since head-to-head is out for the second seed tie breaker, once again divisional record is used. Sean's posted a 3-1 mark in Gamma Division action, and claims the second seed by that right. Sean also has the biggest cushion, with a two-match lead and tie-breaker advantage over second place in the division.

* Next opponents: Nuclear Templeton (6-3), Diamond (3-6)

#3 Seed: Nuclear Templeton (6-3, 2-2 Alpha Division, 4.22 Match Rating)

* The last guaranteed seed goes to Templeton for leading the Alpha Division. He's one match up on both second and third in the Alpha Division, though he loses the tie-breaker to the man in second, but wins the one against the third-place man. He's also got the toughest short-term schedule of the top three seeds.

* Next opponents: Sean (6-3), Breaker (6-3)

#4 Seed: Breaker (6-3, 2-1 Beta Division, 3.67 Match Rating)

* The only other member of the League with a 6-3 record, Breaker is sitting in the wild card spot after week nine with a decent chance of sliding into one of the top three seeds as early as next week.

* Next opponents: Robbie Maynard (6-3), Nuclear Templeton (6-3)

On the brink: The British Warrior (5-4, 4-0 Alpha Division, 2.11 Match Rating)

* The League's least entertaining wrestler finds himself just a match outside the Alpha Division lead. Out of the other wrestlers at 5-4, Warrior claims the tie-breaker through his perfect 4-0 Alpha Division mark, and holds the all-important tie-breaker over Nuclear Templeton for the Alpha Division lead.

* Next opponents: Johnny Triumph (4-5), SGRaaize (3-6)

On the brink: Maxx Skabb (5-4, 2-2 Alpha Division, 5.78 Match Rating)

* Skabb is right on the brink of claiming the wild card, trailing by one match and a slightly worse divisional record. He has the tie-breaker advantage over the other 5-4 wrestler due to the divisional record.

* Next opponents: Diamond (3-6), Tarik Nolan (5-4)

Needs Help: Tarik Nolan (5-4, 1-2 Beta Division, 2.11 Match Rating)

* Of the wrestlers at 5-4, Nolan has the longest shot to get in to the playoffs, having to fight off two wrestlers at 6-3 in his own division, plus being behind on the tie-breaker. Though he has yet to face Skabb, Nolan does have a head-to-head advantage over the British Warrior from week 7.

* Next opponents: SGRaaize (3-6), Maxx Skabb (5-4)

Needs Help: Johnny Triumph (4-5, 1-3 Gamma Division, 5.89 Match Rating)

* Triumph is two matches behind both his division leader (who he loses the tie-breaker to) and the wild-card spot. He needs a few wins and a fair amount of help to have a chance of making it, and the next week gives him a chance to do both.

* Next opponents: British Warrior (5-4), Shawn Arrows (3-6)

Basically Eliminated: SGRaaize (3-6, 0-3 Beta Division, 4.22 Match Rating)

* Despite two other wrestlers being tied at 3-6, Raaize has beaten both of them and holds the tie-breaker. In an absurdly packed Beta Division, though, Raaize is all but out of the playoff picture as he needs more wins and more help than Triumph.

* Next opponents: Tarik Nolan (5-4), British Warrior (5-4)

Basically Eliminated: Shawn Arrows (3-6, 3-1 Gamma Division, 4.89 Match Rating)

* All of Arrows' wins have come within the Gamma Division (his sole loss was to Sean in week 4), but three of his last five are against non-divisional opponents. His odds are not looking too good.

* Next opponents: The Phoenix (2-7), Johnny Triumph (4-5)

Basically Eliminated: Diamond (3-6, 1-3 Gamma Division, 6.67 Match Rating)

* The charismatic Scot can wow the fans with her determination, but sadly that has not resulted in wins this season. Barring a miracle, I do not see her making the top four this season, especially given her short-term schedule.

* Next opponents: Maxx Skabb (5-4), Sean (6-3)

Eliminated: The Phoenix (2-7, 0-4 Alpha Division, 4.44 Match Rating)

* Four matches out of the division lead, five matches to go. I cannot find a scenario that allows Phoenix to sneak into the playoffs. Face it: he's done for the season.

* Next opponents: Shawn Arrows (3-6), First Blood vs. Robbie Maynard (6-3)

NEWS AND NOTES

CHANGES IN POPULARITY—THE MARITIMES, CANADA

1. SGRaaize: 15 -> 25.0653

2. Diamond: 15 -> 21.2680

3. Maxx Skabb: 15 -> 18.1587

4. Breaker: 15 -> 17.5760

10. Tarik Nolan: 15 -> 11.6107

11. Nuclear Templeton: 15 -> 11.4100

12. Robbie Maynard: 15 -> 11.1942

* Attendance is expected to top 11,000 when the League heads to the Odyssey Arena in Belfast next week. Arena officials report that less than three hundred tickets remain for the show. Speculation still runs rampant that if demand continues to grow, the venue may be changed to Windsor Park and their 20,000-person outdoor stadium, though Windsor Park officials have denied any such rumors.

* A report that came in just before this column went to post informed me that Maxx Skabb was nearly denied admittance to the UK due to his criminal record. Commissioner Colt Marshall was reported to have stepped in personally to ensure that the matter was resolved, and reports are that Maxx is to be supervised at all times while in the UK as a stipulation for his access.

* Current Las Vegas odds have Robbie Maynard as a 4-1 favorite to emerge as League Champion. The rest of the frontrunners are Nuclear Templeton at 6-1, Breaker at 8-1, Sean at 8-1, and Tarik Nolan at 15-1. I've also heard that some schmuck put $100 on Phoenix to win at 2,000-1 odds. Look, if you've got money to waste like that, I'll gladly take it off your hands....

PREDICTION CENTRAL

An absolutely horrendous week for predictions, as upsets ruined the picks of many. As such, kudos to Messrs. SeanMcG, Prophet, and masterded for scoring the highest for the week with only 3 points.

In addition, there is now a tie for the season-long lead, as you'll see below:

(tie) 1. moon_lit_tears, SeanMcG: 31 points

(tie) 3. derek_b, Prophet: 29 points

5. Tori Montgomery: 28 points

6. I effin rule: 21 points

7. masterded: 20 points

8. Wrestling Century: 7 points

9. MichiganHero: 6 points

10. Zeel1: 4 points

The League makes its' first trip to the Old World this week as week ten emanates from Belfast, Northern Ireland. A couple of good matches are up on the card, and hopefully the top prediction scorer does better than three points this week.

WEEK TEN: BELFAST, NORTHERN IRELAND (NORTH UK)

(Regular match, can be stopped for blood loss, no ref bumps allowed)

Diamond (3-6, 15%) vs. Maxx Skabb (5-4, 15%)

Skabb's got a determination edge here, plus part of me can't help but to think he might try to end it early to keep from hurting a woman. However, end result is Skabb keeping pressure in the Alpha Division.

Tori's Prediction: Maxx Skabb, via pinfall (Lethal Injection), 11:10, C-

Sean (6-3, 15%) vs. Nuclear Templeton (6-3, 15%)

Match of the Night contender. This could go either way, so I'm just going to flip a coin here.

Tori's Prediction: Nuclear Templeton, via pinfall (Armageddon Lariat), 23:00, A

Johnny Triumph (4-5, 15%) vs. The British Warrior (5-4, 15%)

I'm calling a minor upset here. Triumph will catch Warrior off-guard, to the chagrin of the UK audience.

Tori's Prediction: Johnny Triumph, via submission (Horns of Victory), 13:00, B-

Shawn Arrows (3-6, 15%) vs. The Phoenix (2-7, 15%)

A waste of a match. Arrows easily wins this one.

Tori's Prediction: Shawn Arrows, via pinfall (Slingshot Legdrop), 5:20, F

BETA DIVISION: Tarik Nolan (5-4, 15%) vs. SGRaaize (3-6, 15%)

Tarik's determined to keep up the momentum, and he'll blow through Raaize here to put the pressure on both men in the main event.

Tori's Prediction: Tarik Nolan, via pinfall (Regulator), 9:50, D

BETA DIVISION: Robbie Maynard (6-3, 24%) vs. Breaker (6-3, 15%)

Match of the Night contender #2. I think Maynard will have just enough to pull out a win, and tighten the Beta Division race even more.

Tori's Prediction: Robbie Maynard, via submission (Merseyside Maul), 24:20, A*

So until next time, may the luck o' the Irish be with ye, lads and lasses. This is Tori Montgomery...so long from ringside!

Gee, Nuclear, tell us how you REALLY feel, why don't ya? :p

I'm just glad the man with the bleeping machine was there, there were kids nearby that could've heard him! :p

On a vaguely serioues note, I do wonder what would happen in the matches that end early if people had some decent numbers in their Wrestling Spirit stats. Would the AI be smart enough to use it to escape submissions? Would it go for the big finishers?

Do you have any plans for the Wrestling Spirit stat any time? I have some ideas. :)

In my defense....well, no. I don't have a defense, that is just a plain old ERROR. Dunno how I missed that one in final editing. :o

But if you want a kayfabe answer...look at how often JR or Cole get wrestler names mixed up. That's all I can really say. :p
