Now I thought this was odd because I never got a ticket for it. So I went to the DMV website to check the status of my license and guess what....... it's valid. So why is there a warrant? There's a warrant because you never dealt with the citation that was issued for driving w/o a license. It's happened to me (a ticket I never got turned into a warrant) If you go down to the court and tell them you have a warrant they'll probably stick you on the docket. Go to the police station and explain your situation to the appropriate office. Also make sure you bring the DMV paper showing that your license is valid. Your best hope for survival is to become some sort of outlaw vigilante, roaming the cruel Mexican deserts, killin' all who stand in your way, until you find that one special lady who can tame the raging beast within (and hopefully clear your name through her father's senate connections/drug money). I bought it as a project car to work on with my dad and never got the reg. renewed. after 6 months it becomes a suspended licenses and that is what happened. They probably gave him a summons of some sort for the court date he's talking about. He'll show up to court and setup a payment plan of some sort or pay the fine in full that day. I wasn't speeding. I had to get the records (I'm driving to go get them, just funny in my book) to show the Liscense that the ticket was resolved, and I kind of liked how they seemed offended that I was right. Once in Galveston, some jerk <em>slammed</em> their brakes... and they had no brake lights. Had to swerve around them to avoid dying, cop saw it, wrote me a ticket for passing in a no passing lane (wouldn't even let me try to explain what happend, *******.)</p><p> </p><p> They told me "show up Friday for court", went their at noon... turns out you have to be there at seven in the morning (none of the info I recieved informed me as such), so I had a warrant out for my arrest. Infuriating. The officer's name was "J.W. Jennings". If anyone here happens to know him or runs into him, kindly ask him to go jump off a bridge while ****ing himself for me. Stennick Posted November 8, 2010 Share Posted November 8, 2010 <p>Just today I learned that I had a court appointment on October 5th because apparently the shoulder wasn't a second lane while interstate construction took up the would be second lane. </p><p> </p><p> Well after realizing I never went to said court appearance I called my courhouse and asked if there was a warrant for my arrest and if I could just come pay the fine. She says "there is no warrant out for your arrest" so then I'm thinking "awesome, Steve 1, the Man 0" then after no lie a minute pause or so she says "yet" and then I kind of crapped myself and said "yet?" she said their working on it. </p><p> </p><p> So then I ask her again if I can just show up to my local police and give them money (not a bribe only cuz the fine was less than a bribe would be) she says they wouldn't be able to do anything for me until AFTER the warrant is issued and THEN all they'll do is arrest me. </p><p> </p><p> So finally she gives me the city courhouse number and I make arrangements to come in tomorrow morning for court and take care of this while avoiding a warrant. </p><p> </p><p> Normally I wouldn't have cared but I have to drive to a ton of places Thanksgiving Eve and Thanks Giving and the last thing I want to is to to jail on Thanksgiving.
