All right, the Aztecs are back! Week 6 - No game. For those of you who can't remember or too lazy to look back a little, we're 1-3 so far this season, 1-1 in the conference. We've lost pretty badly in our losses except our Overtime thriller against AF, but the season is still young. Week 7 @ Wyoming 0-4 - WYO favored by 1, somehow. I say we win quite comfortably. But we'll need a consistent game from Delhomme who's having his best year as an Aztec, but that isn't saying much. 1000 yards, 6 TDs, 5 picks. 1st Quarter The first quarter is pretty boring as we were able to hold Wyoming to no points, but they did the same to us. Wyoming got to our 32 yard line twice, but punted and turned it over on downs during those two drives. 2nd Quarter We get on the board first with a field goal from Ephraim. 3-0. Ephraim's leg gets us another three points, this time from 53 yards out. 6-0 with a few minutes to go in the half. Dickie Reese continues to be stellar has heck, 14 carries, 80 yards at the moment. The defense continues to hold Wyoming to zero points in the first half. Delhomme has pretty much stunk in the first half minus the first drive of the game. Reese finishes the half with 80 yards rushing. 3rd Quarter A quick start to the half with Reese running the ball 20+ yards twice during the drive before WR Houston fumbled the ball after a 14 yard gain, giving Wyoming the ball on their 25 yard line. The rest of the 3rd quarter goes down quietly, as the score remains 6-0! 4th Quarter After a few more nice runs by Reese, who now has 146 yards on the ground, the drive stalls, giving Wyoming the ball back with under 10 minutes to play in the game. Still, 6-0 WYO ball on their 6 yard line to start the drive. A few stupid defensive holdings, and a nice gain later, Wyoming finally gets on the board with a 9 yard touchdown pass. 7-6 with six minutes to play. Nice time to make lots of mistakes. Good job defense. Delhomme throws a pick on the first play of our next drive, and that leads to yet another defensive holding penalty, which eventually didn't matter as LB Abramowicz intercepted the Wyoming football. Still four minutes to play. 7-6. After a nice 6 yard passing gain, our TE was called for a hold and we knew then it was just time to keep the ball on the ground and hope for some good gains from Mr. Consistency, Reese. On the next play, Reese took the handoff and broke a few tackles for a 21 yard gain and a first down. A few running plays later and another first down, we've got 1st and 10 on our 46 yard line with two minutes to play. We keep it on the ground, this time to Denson who takes the pitch for 14 yards! 1st and 10 again. Delhomme after an incomplete pass finally gets out of his funk with a 12 yard pass play on a curl route. First and 10 now on the 28 yard line with just over a minute to play. Time to keep it on the ground with Reese or Denson and finish the game with a game winning field goal, perhaps. We won't need to worry about kicking a field goal as on 2nd and 8, Denson took it to the house from 26 yards out! 26 yard touchdown run and that gives us a 12-7 lead with under a minute to play. Two point conversion is good! 14-7! Four incomplete passes later wraps up the Aztec victory! 14-7 win puts us to 2-1 in conference play. 30 carries for Reese for 180 yards! He continues his nice season, 5 games 579 yards. Denson backed him up nicely this game, 6 carries, 42 yards and the game winning touchdown. We've got a good TCU team next week. We'll have to prepare well for them.

Week 8 vs 4-2 TCU - TCU by 15... eek Utah is in first place all alone at 3-0(4-2). We'll get them in a few weeks, but first we need to take care of tough business with the Horned Frogs at our house. Our defense should be able to keep us in the game, but it will depend on Delhomme if we want to win this one; otherwise I'll be bringing in Mucker. 1st Quarter First drive of the game for us.. 3 carries from Reese, 33 yards. 2 passes, 2 completions for Delhomme, 29 yards one of the completions being a touchdown pass to Houston for a quick 7-0 lead! We're unable to hold TCU until they got to 3rd and Goal on the 4 yard line and fumbled the ball into the hands of an Aztec defender! 1st and 10 to go for us after an 11 yard fumble return. After a 9 play 53 yard drive, we kick a field goal and it's good from 50 yards out. 10-0 with the first quarter coming to a close. 2nd Quarter We get the ball back with 10 minutes to go after a TCU missed field goal to keep it 10-0, Aztec lead. The rest of the half goes pretty boringly, as we throw an interception at midfield with 30 seconds to go in the half giving TCU a few shots for a score, but they get sacked and get a short gain to end the half. It's still 10-0. Delhomme was having a good game up to his interception at the end of the half. He's 10 of 16, 137 yards a TD and pick. Reese has 11 carries for 55 yards so far. Another good game for him so far. 10-0 at the half. 3rd Quarter Follwing an interception for our defense, Ephraim misses a 48 yard field goal to the right leaving the score at 10-0 midway through the 3rd. Another forced turnover the our defense and Ephraim gets a chance to redeem himself, this time from 38 yards out, and he drills it. 13-0 with two minutes to play in the 3rd quarter. Our defense really coming up big again this week.. The defense comes up with another 3 and out to end the 3rd quarter which will allow Reese to add onto his 112 yards on the day! :) 4th Quarter CB Justin Hakim comes up big as TCU forces a ball deep allowing Hakim to pick it off. The senior has been getting playing time off and on throughout his career and he gets his biggest interception of his career and of our year. He's got two picks in his career, both coming this year. 13-0 with 13 minutes to go in the game. We just need to get another little score to ice the game. Dickie Reese gets a touchdown from 5 yards out. That touchdown capitalized a 16 play, 80 yards over 7 minutes of game clock! That pretty much seals this game up, the score now 20-0! 6 minutes to go. We get our third and fourth interception on the defense as we SHUT DOWN TCU! SHUT OUT! 20-0! 35 carries for Dickie Reese for 165 yards! Stellar game. It's tough to lose games when your defense forced FIVE turnovers! Woohoo. We move to 3-1 in the conference and even up our overall record at 3-3.

Week 9 @ UNLV - Vegas finally gets us right, but still, we're only favored by 1. Hopefully Reese can keep up his Top 20 YPG up; he's averaging 124 YPG this season so far. UNLV is 4-2, 2-2 in the conference, so they're a decent team, but not better than AF or TCU, so we should be able to handle them, but we've shown in the past that we can't always win the easy ones. 1st Quarter UNLV started the game with the ball and they went three and out. We decide to be not like us, and go with a deep play action pass to start the game off and complete it for 43 yards. Good start for us. Nothing else happened and we had to settle for a 39 yard field goal to take an early 3-0 lead on the Rebels. After an impressive 3 and out, we drove back down the field and settled for another field goal to increase our lead to 6-0. Ephraim drilled the 35 yard field goal. After yet another defensive stop, we get the ball back on our 18 yard line. On the first play we do a short pass, but Dickie Reese breaks a tackle after the catch and nearly takes it all the way for the touchdown. He was stopped on the 16 yard line of UNLV! 66 yard catch and run for Reese! TE Alston catches a 17 yard pass from Delhomme to make it 13-0 with some time left in the 1st quarter still! 16 yards gained for UNLV during the 1st Quarter. 13-0. 2nd Quarter After only 6 yards on 6 carries, Reese finally picked it up a bit, carrying his next 5 touches 47 yards. The time in the 1st half is running down. There is three minutes to go with it being our ball at midfield, 3rd down. Incomplete pass forces us to punt the ball back to the Rebels. Just when it looked like UNLV was going to score, the defense comes up huge with LB Wonsley coming up with a huge pick on the 7 yard line! That ends the half! Not before Reese broke open to big runs to finish off the half. He ends the half with 15 carries for 91 yards. Nice! All-American? The defense held UNLV to 122 yards in the first half. They're playing real well in the last three games!!! 3rd Quarter Reese gets over 100 yards...receiving after a 20 yard gain when he broke a few more tackles. He's got 4 catches for 108 yards, and 18 rushes for 94 yards. It only takes him two more carries to get 100 yards on the game, the first being five yards, the second being a nice 15 yard gain to put us on the UNLV 19 yard line! 1st and 10. We eventually settle for a field goal from Ephraim, 16-0 nearing the end of the 3rd quarter. After an injury to one of our DB's, the backup that came in and allowed UNLV to get a 56 yard touchdown pass to make it 16-8 after a successful 2 point conversion. Quick quick score, two play drive. Bummer. 4th Quarter Ephraim gives us a 19-8 lead with 8 minutes to play in the game after a 9 play, 59 yard drive. With five minutes to play after us punting the ball back to UNLV, the Rebels took a catch and fumbled it into the hands of our defense on their first play. This pretty much ends it! During this drive, we get some yards from Reese that set up a 49 yard field goal for Ephraim, making it 22-8 with under three minutes to go. An interception by Peelle, who had one to finish up the game last week, completes a near perfect game by our defense. We go three and out on our series and punt it away. The first play of UNLV's next drive they go deep and it's picked off and returned 71 yards for the touchdown. 29-8. THAT completes the near perfect game by our defense. Well, they get a 56 yard gain on the last play of the game to get over 300 yards on the game. That sucks. The final score is 29-8. Dickey Reese had 32 carries for 150 yards; yet another great game on the ground for him. Reese also had 112 yards receiving. Quite an all around day for him as he's the player of the game yet again. We move to 4-1 in the conference and for the first time in the season go above .500 with a 4-3 record overall. Utah wins their game against Air Force to stay undefeated in conference play.

Week 10 @ 2-6 BYU - BYU favored by 8......... If Reese gets over 106 yards this game, he'll get over the 1000 yards rushing mark for the season in just eight games. That would be impressive for a guy who didn't even star the season, but should have after last year. He's just a 2 star guy... amazing year for him. Our defense has been stepping it up and they could be higher than 32nd overall minus that stupid 56 yard gain to end the last game. Ah, well.. Those are just stats. The team we faced first, Clemson, happens to have the #1 defense in the nation and we stayed with them right to the end...But they're 5-3 and barely ranked in the top 25. 1st Quarter Oh, cripes. BYU goes down the field quite easily and comes up with six points after converting a few 3rd downs. 7-0. We were unable to answer back with a score, but we were able to put the ball on the five yard line after the punt. Pfft. A 2 yard loss is nullified by a stupid offsides penalty and the next two plays their speedy QB got first downs with 20+ yard gains. We'll need to contain him now, eh. But we won't as they get another rushing touchdown from their own Reese. 14-0 with five to play in the 1st. We finally stopped BYU after having punted ourselves. We start the 2nd quarter with the ball deep in our territory, the 6 yard line. 2nd Quarter Two first downs later, we punt it back to the Cougars. 3rd down 9 we get aggressive on defense and it pays off as Clark sacks the quarterback which forced a fumble and we recovered it and returned it 6 yards to the BYU 8 yard line! 3 plays, nada yards. 3 points is what we settle for. 14-3 early on in the 2nd. We get the ball back and get 1st and Goal and get only another three points. 10 plays, 56 yards. 14-6. Four minutes to play in the half. We get the ball back on our 2 yard line with over two minutes to go. A chance to get some more points, but we gotta get outta this tight spot first. And we do with a 12 yard quick pass play. 23 yard run on the next play by none other than Dickie Reese. 17 yard run on the next play, Reese again. 4 yard run for Dickie which also got a personal foul, 15 yard face mask moving us to the 27 yard line with a minute fifty left. With 28 seconds left in the half we've got a 4th and 4 on the 11 yard line of BYU and have to settle for our THIRD field goal of the half. 14-9 at the half. Reese having a crazy good game already, 16 carries for 102 yards. He only needs four more yards to eclipse the 1000 yard rushing mark on the season. He may be a top 10 rusher after this game. Who knows. Delhomme continues to be pretty worthless, but he hasn't turned the ball over at least. Plus, we get the ball to start the 2nd half. I'm happy. 3nd Quarter After a few punts back and forth, our defense finally comes up bigger than a forced punt, an interception by Peelle! 1st and 10 for the Aztecs on the BYU 40 yard line. Five minutes to go in the 3rd. FINALLY! Delhomme connects to Houston in the end zone for the lead taking touchdown. 16-14 with a few minutes to go in the 3rd quarter. 25 carries for Reese, 121 yards to show for it. The 3rd quarter ends as BYU punts the ball to our 22 yard line. 1st and 10 for us after a big 3rd down and 8 stop, which came 1 yard short of the first down. 4th Quarter We get held to a 3 and out being held on 3rd and 1. A 15 yard loss thanks to a Dantzler sack makes it 3rd and 20 for BYU which they threw an incomplete pass on giving us the ball back on our 47 yard line for good field position. Two running losses by Reese later, we're forced to punt it back to the Cougars. OOOH ****! First play, short pass and the BYU WR cuts it up the field for an 82 yard touchdown! BYU gets the 2 point conversion to make it 22-16 with 8 minutes to play in the game. Ugh! Our defense was actually doing GREAT up to that play. We get the ball back and move it to mid field before we're forced to punt again after coming up short on the screen pass. BYU starts the drive on the 4 yard line with just under 7 to play. They get a first down but then on 2nd and 10 later they cough up the ball after a Larry Clark smackdown! Aztec ball on the BYU 28 yard line with 5:35 left in the game. Whew! Still alive. 4th and 2, we go for it and do a play action curl which Delhomme throws into the defenders hands and they return it 36 yards before being tackled. What a roller coaster game this has been. A roller coaster 4th quarter at least! The first play for BYU is fumbled! Abramowicz comes up with a huge hit jarring the ball loose and the Aztecs get the ball right back!!!! 3:40 to go and the roller coaster ride continue, ball back on the 33 yard line of BYU. On 2nd and 9 we go to the air with a deeper route and Houston is WIDE OPEN! NOTHING BUT GREEN! TOUCHDOWN!!!!! 22-22 with two fifty on the clock! Houston with his second TD of the game. Extra point is good. 23-22! 32 yard touchdown pass. The first play for BYU is a deep route and Dantzler chases the QB around and finally brings him down for a 14 yard loss!! 2nd and 24 on the 15 yard line now with 2:08 to play in the game. Larry Clark comes up with a sack on the very next play for a loss of 3 yards! 3rd and 27 with under two to play. Delay of game. Major choke job for BYU in progress. 3rd and 32. Major choke job for the Aztecs in progress after a 47 yard gain. The next play Hakim comes up big and gets his 3rd pick of of the season!! Aztec ball on the 32 yard line and 1:21 on the clock. Knee, knee, knee. Game! A 23-22 victory! What a win as we move to 5-1 in the conference with the Utah game coming up next! Utah is still undefeated in the conference. Reese with 33 carries for 130 yards. He didn't do a whole lot with the ball in the 4th quarter, it's possilbe that he had negative yardage in the 4th. Delhomme finally had a decent game as well, 14 of 24, 124 yards, 2 tds, 1 int. Larry Clark is the POG with 3 sacks 6 tackles, and THREE forced fumbles. BYU had 7 fumbles in the game, losing three of them. Dantzler had 2 sacks and leads the team this season with 6 sacks in all.

Week 11 vs 6-2 Utah Utes faves by 6 Reese is 11th in the nation for YPG with 128 ypg. He's 15th in yards with 1024 but that will go up since he's played less games than a few of the rushers ahead of him. Weird thing with Reese; he's got 0 created runs, 12 missed holes, and 1 TD. He just can't seem to hit the holes that well, and I can only imagine how we'd be with a stud like Olszewski! I miss him a little bit, but not so much since Reese hasn't lost a fumble yet this season! *knock on wood* Utah comes to our house this week with the conference lead at stake. Our 40th ranked defense goes up against their 12th ranked offense, while our 80th ranked offense goes against their 16th ranked defense. On paper it says they kill us, but talent-wise we're a little better except at running back, which our DLine should contain pretty well. They've also got a good WR, but, shrug, he can't catch them if the QB is always laying on the ground! booyah! okay, lame. 1st Quarter We have 3rd and 8 on the Utah 14 yard line when we get sacked and fumble the ball, but we recovered....after a 14 yard loss. 4th and 22 now and a longer field goal; bummer. But Ephraim drills the 46 yard field goal to give us a 3-0 lead midway through the 1st quarter. Utah takes two minutes to get three points of their own to tie it at three. We take two minutes as well to get three more points after a nice 46 yard screen pass gain. 6-3 nearing the end of the 1st quarter. With neither team seemingly wanting to play defense, Peelle proved that not to be true with an interception to end the 1st quarter and giving us the ball at our 44 yard line. 2nd Quarter We can't come up with a touchdown but we do get a 34 yard field goal from Ephraim to take a 9-3 lead. All field goals so far this game. Weeeee! Delhomme 7 of 11 for 99 yards so far. Not bad. Clark comes up with a sack forcing Utah to punt it deep into our territory, the three yard line; and that's where we'll start our drive with seven minutes to go in the half. We get a gain of 8, loss of 6, gain of 6 and go three and out. Punting it 36 yards only to have the return be 30 yards. 1st and 10 for Utah on our 17 yard line. Utah gets a 16 yard gain, 1 yard loss on a sack, and a 2 yard run for the touchdown to take a 10-9 lead with 5 minutes left in the half. 3 and out for us. The defense is stopping Reese REAL WELL. He's got 15 carries for 31 yards after starting out with 7 carries for 32 yards. Ugh! Utah takes the ball to mid field before being forced to punt which ends up on our 5 yard line. We get scared and just hand it off in a big I formation and Reese gets a big block and runs it 20 yards before getting tackled. Timeout! 35 seconds left. Just in case! :) We just run the ball two more times and end the half with a 10-9 score, Utah leading. Reese, 19 carries, 57 yards now, a little more respectable. Delhomme 11 of 15, 122 yards. 3rd Quarter A defensive battle for the second half as we punt back and forth until finally Utah hits a 51 yard field goal with four minutes to go in the 3rd quarter. 13-9. The rest of the quarter goes scoreless as we punt the ball to the Utah 6 yard line as the quarter ends. 4th Quarter They convert a 3rd and 12 on the 4 yard line, which caused me to swear real loud. The refs gave me a warning. Screw them! The next set of downs, 3rd and 9, converted! Curse again!! Next set of downs, 3rd and 12, major blitz because zone or little blitz doesn't work....!! 11 yard gain! WHEW. Houston returns the 43 yard punt 36 yards into Utah territory on the 45 yard line! A running loss, few yard gain on a pass and a 5 yard loss on a sack forces us to punt, which is fair caught on the 18 yard line after a weak 33 yard punt. 11 minutes to play still. Utah moves down the field once again beyond mid field where we finally stop them forcing them to punt deep into our territory once again... this time it's first and 10 for us on our 5. Yipee. 3 'n out. Utah ball on our 48 yard line. Still 7 minutes to go. Utah gets one first down then settles on a 47 yard field goal attempt, which is good. 16-9 with 3:30 to play in the game. Ugh. Nerve racking considering we can't move down the field on the defense. We've got 197 yards of offense today. We'll need Delhomme to step it up big here. The drive starts out well with a 16 yard completion. A first down after two short pass plays. 1st and 10 on our 46 yard line with 2:41 on the clock. 3rd and 1 on the 45 yard line of Utah now. 1:55 left to go, we give the ball to Reese for the first time this drive, and he gains 20 yards on the pitch! 1st and 10 again, 25 yard line. Delhomme throws a pick on a screen play on 2nd and 9 on the 24.... Hmm.... Damn it. We still have all three timeouts remaining at least. We get the ball back after 3 plays, 26 seconds(a timeout didn't work after a play once.. grr) to go on our 35 yard line. Game over after we can't get anything going. We lost 16-9 thanks to a sh***y throw by Delhomme deep in Utah territory. Thanks Delhomme. You just lost your job for the season....maybe. Reese had 77 yards rushing. Not a great performance considering he had 27 carries. We move to 5-2 in the conference and 5-4 overall. We need another win to become bowl eligible at least, so the last three games are important; and we should easily win two of them. Utah moves to 7-2 overall and they're now ranked #22 in the GDCS.

Week 12 @ 3-5 Navy - Aztecs faves by 1 This should be a cupcake game for us. I really don't see how they will be able to stop our OL from dominating up front and our defensive line smothering their OL. We shall see though. I'd like to see Reese make up for his under 100 yard performance last week with a 200+ this week. 1st Quarter Navy takes the opening kickoff 71 yards on nine plays for the touchdown. Not a good start defensively. Pretty pathetic actually. 7-0 Navy 5 carries for 45 yards later for Reese we get to settle for a field goal to make it 7-3. Ephraim nails the 37 yarder after a false start penalty. We get the ball back and drive down to the field before the drive stalls on the Navy 40 yard line, we're faced with a decision and we decide to go for it on 4th and 2. It pays off as the tight end broke down the field and actually scored! 40 yard touchdown pass to Alston from Delhomme(Yeah, I started him again... One more chance). 10-7. 2nd Quarter Navy comes back with a 52 yard field goal to tie it up at 10. Reese continues to run the ball well allowing us to kick a field goal to take back the lead. But Ephraim missed it from 32 yards out, short! But there's a flag on the field! Illegal substitution on Navy. First down Aztecs! The next play, Denson takes the handoff 9 yards for the touchdown. 17-10. Wish Reese got the handoff instead, oh well. After that drive Reese has 13 carries for 84 yards. Navy RB Davey has 9 carries for 89 yards so far this game and he helped Navy get into field goal position and they did hit it to make it 17-13 with five minutes to go in the half. The half ends with Navy threatening to score, but they couldn't do anything as the time ran out. Reese has 18 carries for 94 yards so far. Denson, six carries 24 yards. We get the ball to start the 2nd half, so let's get a touchdown or field goal at least. 3rd Quarter We do get a 27 yard field goal from Ephraim to make the lead 7 now, 20-13. Reese had 26 yards rushing on that drive bringing his total to 120. Nearing the end of the 3rd Quarter Reese fumbled the ball and we actually didn't recover giving Reese his first lost fumble on the season. He's got 26 carries for 151 yards so far this game but now it's Navy's ball on our 14 yard line. This score is on him. Navy does get a touchdown as time runs out in the 3rd. 20-20. 4th Quarter Reese better make up for that fumble. Reese does help us get three points as he gained 30 yards on the ground for us. He just doesn't have the breakaway speed to get the touchdown. Twice he had one man to beat but had to settle for a run in the teens for yardage. 23-20, still early in the 4th quarter. Reese makes good on my asking him for 200 yards this week. He gets 29 yards on our next drive to make his total 213 yards on 34 carries. We score a touchdown on a Delhomme pass to WR Kennedy. 30-20 with 6 minutes to go in the ball game. We're unable to stop Navy as they march down the field in two minutes for a touchdown. 30-27 with 4 minutes to play. We get a few first downs and move our way to mid field where we eventually punt it, the ball is downed at the 11 yard line, so Navy has 47 seconds to go with only 1 timeout remaining. Navy gets two big plays moving them into field goal range and they get to kick a 53 yarder with 11 seconds to play in the game...and they make it! Tied up just like that. Dang. 30-30 OT we go. Overtime We get a field goal after we come up short on 3rd down and 4, three yard gain. We were going to run it on 4th and 1 but we had a false start penalty forcing us to kick a field goal. 33-30, Navy's turn. The first play for Navy is PICKED OFF!!! AZTECS win it. What a game. Reese ends the game with 248 yards rushing! Such a good game for him. He carried the ball 40 times. This makes up for his lackluster performance last weekend against Utah. This win gives us a bowl bid and a chance to make a bigger statement if we win out, we could be ranked by season's end. Probably not though with 4 losses under our name. Perhaps if we were named Miami or something. Utah sneaks out of BYU with a win after being behind going into the fourth quarter.

News The awards finalists came out after our battle with Navy and we've got one players on the list. I thought it would be Ephraim for sure, but it was not. Our punter, Eric Plum, is up for the coffin corner award. Reese now has 1349 yards on the season, but still only one touchdown. He's averaging 135 yards per game which is good for 6th in the nation. With two more games to go against below average defenses, Reese still has a shot to be the nation's leading rusher, an outside shot, but a shot nonetheless. We've got two more games, New Mexico and Central Michigan. We win these two we'll be 8-4 and standing tall. Let's do it!

Week 13 vs 6-3 New Mexico - Aztecs favored by 3 I imagine we'll coast this game and win comfortably. But each game we've been favored we haven't done that well, at least if my memory serves me right. This game also dictates who is going to finish 2nd in the conference. 1st Quarter We stop Navy first and we go down the field for a field goal thanks to some nice running by both backs, Reese and Denson. 3-0. Thanks to a nice 37 yard run by Denson, that sets up another field goal for us, 6-0. We have the ball to end the first quarter on the 31 yard line of NM, 1st and 10. 2nd Quarter We eventually get down to the 2 yard line for 4th and Goal. Sick of kicking field goals, we give the ball to Reese on the outside who gets stuffed for a loss. 1st down for New Mexico. Peelle picks up another interception deep in New Mexico territory to give us 1st down on their 14 yard line. Denson eventually gets the touchdown as Reese brought us closer to the goal line. 13-0 midway through the 2nd quarter. New Mexico gets more than half their yards on the next drive as they go down the field for three points. 13-3 with under three minutes to play in the half. We go right back down the field thanks to the arm of Delhomme to get three points back. 16-3 as we go into the half. Delhomme having a good day so far, only throwing 2 incomplete passes out of 11 attempts. 3rd Quarter We start the 2nd half with the ball and we take advantage of the weak secondary of New Mexico as Reese keeps getting stuffed in the backfield. Delhomme had 75 yards in the air during the drive that set up a 5 yard run for Reese giving him his 2nd touchdown on the season. 23-3 now early on in the 2nd half. Delhomme is now 12 of 15 for 204 yards on the day. Nearing the end of the 3rd quarter, New Mexico finally gets into the end zone making it 23-10. 4th Quarter Ephraim misses the 49 yard field goal after we rushed the ball for 49 yards during the drive, all running plays. Delhomme continues his great game with 86 yards passing on the drive. His stats go to 19 of 23, 306 yards and 1 touchdown as he connected to Marshall in the endzone for a touchdown. 30-10 as we pretty much wrap up the game there with seven minutes to go. Denson gets his 2nd touchdown of the afternoon as we get another touchdown. Big games from both backs today. 37-10. The game 603 to 225 yards of offense we outgained New Mexico. Our offense really clicked all game. Reese had 36 rushes for 168 yards and a TD! 7-4 now with Central Michigan left to go. Denson had 23 carries for 97 yards and 2 TDs, Denson was named POG. Delhomme was 21 of 25, 344 yards and a TD. With this game, Reese is now #3 in the nation in rushing yards with 1517 yards, behind the leader by less than 70 yards now. Reese IS leading the nation in carries, with 333, the next player behind him has 312 carries. Reese is a machine, eh?

Week 15 vs 6-4 Central Michigan - Central Michigan favored by 3. Central Michigan has some good players, but they don't have a well rounded enough team to beat us. That's the way I see it. We're getting some votes this week in the Coach and Media polls, whilst ranked 34th in the GDCS. We could make it to the top 25 if we win today and win our bowl game against whoever. :) 1st Quarter Four plays, 1:30 later Central Michigan gets into the end zone, thanks to some horrible pass defense. 7-0 very early on. Reese's first carry goes for ten yards before he gets nailed and fumbles it into the arms of CMU. Great. We were thankfully able to hold the Chippewas to a field goal. 10-0. Before the first quarter comes to an end, we finally got something going and Delhomme connected to WR Houston for a 2 yard touchdown pass and catch. 10-7. 2nd Quarter Ephraim's leg ties the ball game up at 10 as we start off the 2nd quarter. With under a minute to play, we get the ball through the up rights for three more points to take the lead for the first time today, 13-10 after a 43 yard field goal by Ephraim. Central Michigan comes right down the field after a nice 50 yard gain to get a field goal themselves to tie it up at 13 as we go into the half. 3rd Quarter We start the 2nd half with a 7 minute drive which ended in a touchdown pass on 3rd and Goal to the fullback, Williams. 20-13. On 3rd and 5 for Central Michigan, they go to the air and LB Abramowicz picks it off and returns it 57 yards for the touchdown!! 27-13 just like that. We get the ball back after a huge hit that caused a fumble! 1st and 10 on the CM 27 yard line! We have to settle for a field goal after getting to 4th and Goal. 30-13 with little time remaining in the 3rd quarter. 4th Quarter 33-13 after Ephraim nailed yet another field goal. His 4th of the day. Dickie Reese dives into the end zone for his first touchdown of the game and third of the year. He's got 33 carries for 119 yards on the day. That will be the ball game at 40-13! What a blowout win for us to close out the season. Reese got one more carry which took him to 34 carries for 142 yards on the day, with a touchdown. Reese finishes the season with 1659 yards, 3 TDs, and averaging 4.52 yards per carry. Not too shabby for a 2 star player. We finish 8-4 and I imagine we'll play a decent team in a bowl game which may be good enough for us to be ranked if we win it! So excited I am.

2010 News - Stats in Word Document below. We had a pretty good season offensively and defensively. Reese finished the season with 1659 yards! We do have lots we can still improve on though, such as OL Luce who missed 26 blocks! But at least he had no false starts. As you can also see, Boobie Bland didn't start a game after he had 4 holds in the first two games of the year. No big time standouts defensively as LB Wonsley led the team with 84 tackles, but he also had 4 picks which is right behind Peelle who had 5 to lead the team. Clark and Dantzler both had 7 sacks to lead the team. They will both be seniors next season and I expect them to have huge seasons as they try to make a bid for the NFL Draft in two years. We finished with the 33rd ranked defense in the nation and 64th offensively. Not too shabby considering our horrible start. Reese finished 4th in the nation in rushing yards thanks to having no conference championship game to play. Impressive to say the least though! Bowl Bound We're playing in the San Fransisco Bowl against Arizona! Awards 3rd Team - Nationally Jr Kicker, Ephraim (34-38 FGs) 1st Team - MWC - Reese gets beat out for first team to a player who only had 1300 yards rushing, but 16 touchdowns... heh! Jr Kicker Ephraim So Punter Plum 2nd Team - MWC So WR Houston - 827 yards receiving and 5 TDs. So OG Ezerins - He's going to be hella good if he sticks around for two more years. Jr DE Larry Clark - 7 sacks Sr CB Peelle - 5 INTs 3rd Team Sr RB Dickie Reese Jr DE Dantzler - 7 sacks That's all, surprisingly. I'm very surprised Wonsley was left off the lists. Oh, well. Let's just kill Arizona in the bowl game!

Bowl Game against 6-5 Arizona - Wildcats surprisingly favored by 16 points. I say NO WAY to that. They've got a great running back, but that is all. The rest of the team is as bad as a MWC team, so we'll stand a great chance against these guys if we can stop RB Heinrich(8/10). 1st Quarter We get the ball to start the game and we get a good return to our 43 yard line as we set up our offense. We run the ball to the 33 yard line where we face a 4th and 1 call, which we go for it by pitching to Reese who runs it for a first down after a 5 yard gain. We can't convert on 3rd and 3 forcing a 38 yard field goal, which Ephraim nails. 3-0 early on. Arizona has a pretty good offensive line, that may over power our defensive line allowing Heinrich to dominate us all game like he has during the first drive. 3 carries for 36 yards which set up a 13 yard touchdown pass. 7-3. We get a nice play on 3rd and 3 from our 45 yard line, a 41 yard gain to move us into the red zone. Delhomme hit WR Houston on the play. A play action pass works well from 14 yards out as Delhomme hits Kennedy in the end zone to take the lead back, 10-7 with two minutes left in the first quarter. 2nd Quarter Arizona answers back with a field goal to tie it up at 10 as the 2nd quarter gets underway. We get beyond midfield but we have to punt the ball, and it's downed on the 14 for Arizona. We get a big interception near mid field from DE Clark to give us the ball back at the our 40 yard line. 1st and 10, woot. After a few nice gains and some stupid penalties, we were able to come up with a 45 yard field goal which Ephraim BOOMED it through. He's so good! :) 13-10 with 5 minutes to go in the half. Arizona gets a touchdown after converted a 3rd and 10 at mid field. They take the lead with over a minute to go in the half, 17-13. The half ends with the score 17-13. Reese has 15 carries for 65 yards so far. Delhomme is 8 of 18 for 145 yards. 3rd Quarter Arizona starts off with the ball and they take it all the way down the field for a touchdown. A very impressive drive for them. 24-13. Heinrich has 23 carries for 142 yards so far. We just can't stop him, but finally we do deep in our territory to hold the Cats to a field goal. 27-13 with some time remaining in the 3rd quarter. This is an important drive for us. We need to get some points. We get to midfield before punting it to the 12 yard line of Arizona. Ugh. Lets go defense. Big play. 4th Quarter 3 and out for Arizona as the 4th quarter gets going. It doesn't matter as Delhomme throws an interception on the 2nd play of the drive giving the ball back to Arizona. Now we really need a big stop at our 40 yard line. 34-13 as Arizona clinches this game with 10 minutes to go. Damn, damn. We still are breathing as Houston catches a touchdown pass from Delhomme to make it 34-20 with over 5 minutes to go. WE were unable to get the ball back before it was too late, and the final score ends up 34-20 as Arizona comes up with the expected win, I guess. Bummer for our boys. Reese had 22 carries for 127 yards. Delhomme went 18/40 for 208 yards, 2 TDs, 1 Int. Our defense was not able to stop the offensive attack of the Wildcats. The DLine was not able to come up with any sacks at all. Sad game overall. We finish a good season at 8-5 after an 0-2 start.

2010 Notes Evaluation Team Performance: C Talent: D Recruiting: D Board Expects: B Prestige: A Overall: C 2011 Start - Coaching offers Wow. Some good offers this year! What to do, what to do? Toledo, no. Georgia Tech! Maybe. Arizona State! Maybe. Two top conferences, GT and ASU are in, so I will look more deeply into the offers to see if I think it's worth it to leave yet. GT had a good recruiting class last year, ranking 26th, ASU not so much, and they finished the season 4-7, where GT was 5-6. Hmm.. If I was going to accept a job, I'd accept the GT job. After long deliberation, we will be staying in California. The family doesn't want to move across the country...not yet! At least one more season in SDSU. I want to win the conference at least once before I leave here and at least win a bowl game. I'm 0-3 in bowl games. Poopy.

Coach Signings We need to sign an offensive coordinator as our current one opted out of his contract. We sign a good coach who develops everyone quite nicely on the offensive side. Glad to have Tom Williams. Transfers We've got some interest in guys that are better than our current players, so we'll go after a few! We get no transfers to come here despite their high interests. Ah, well! :) Time to move onto recruiting, where it's at, baby!

Recruiting Weeks 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 all go down quietly as we don't sign anybody, nor lose any of our recruits. Week 6 We find out the RB Don Jones of Air Force will be declaring for the NFL draft, so that helps us out big time! The fans of SDSU CHEER LOUDLY from that news. We also lose out on a TE that we were recruiting, it would have been nice to sign him, but it's all good. It's going to be tough to make any signings with only 5 scholarships to offer this year. Ah, well. Week 7 Players committing to San Diego State Players recruited that committed to other schools CB Mel Jackson - Wash State CB Eddie Crumpler - Stanford Both of these players were offered scholarships and Jackson was one of the top DB's in the nation, and he wanted to come here, for a while at least. Not anymore. Week 8 We lose one more player that we offered a scholarship too, no signings yet. Players committing to San Diego State Players recruited that committed to other schools CB Nick Montoya - New Mexico St CB Herb Hickerson - New Mexico St CB Leon Jolley - Arizona State RB George Ramsey - Stanford Week 9 We really need to make some moves otherwise we may have the worst recruiting class in the nation with NO SIGNINGS. That would be pretty crappy. Our first signing is for a position that is MUCH needed. We welcome QB Cecil Coleman, and we hope that he's ready to play as a true freshman! :) Players committing to San Diego State QB Cecil Coleman Players recruited that committed to other schools QB Ben Winfrey - San Jose State TE Bill Levingston - San Jose State CB Mike Hunter - Nevada-Las Vegas CB Bernard Zereoue - Nevada-Las Vegas WR Sonny Dalton - New Mexico St RB Grant Hill - Utah Week 10 NO SIGNINGS! ONE signing going into the final day as we accept walk-ons. Eek. What a piss poor recruiting class, at least we were loaded though in freshmen and sophomores. Final Week - We get three to sign in the final week, thankfully. The following recruits ended up coming to San Diego State: QB Micah Lane, 3-stars Venice (Venice, CA) National Rank: 987, Regional: 210, Position: 102 WR Blair Shuler, 3-stars Charter Oak (Colvina, CA) National Rank: 818, Regional: 172, Position: 89 QB Cecil Coleman, 3-stars Maxwell (Maxwell, CA) National Rank: 592, Regional: 123, Position: 36 SS Vernon Stablein, 2-stars Westside (Clear Fork, WV) National Rank: 1581, Regional: 231, Position: 79 Here's our class breakdown: 15 seniors 28 juniors 28 sophomores 24 freshmen

Post Training - Depth Chart - picture attchd QB Cecil Coleman(4/5) is starting as a true freshman. He really improved his game during the training period. He's going to be a huge player for us this year! Jr RB Matt Rogers(3/4) will be getting the handoffs to start the season, but there is always Denson(2/4) and Monroe(2/5) to back him up just in case. Sr WR Pace (5/5), Jr Houston(4/6), Jr MacPherson(4/6) will be the receivers for the year. Sr Boobie Bland(5/7) and So JT Elam(5/7) will be the offensive tackles this year. We've got very good players backing them both up, so if either of them suck it up, I will not hesitate to bring in one of them. Jr Ezerins(5/7) will be starting at OG along with one of four players, all of who could start.. There will be controversy there. Jr Center, Karcher(3/5) will get the starts this year after being a backup last season. DE's Jr Triplett(4/6), Sr Clark(4/5) and Sr Dantzler(4/5) will continue to be the forces on the defensive line, one of them will be playing at the DT position. Our linebackers are Sr Wonsley, So Smith, Jr Haley, and Jr Joseph in a 3-4 defense. Our corners will be the weakest part of the team this season, as we don't even know right now who will be starting. Senior Leonard Hayes(3/4) looks to be the only one who is for sure starting....the rest, shrug. Safeties are Sr FS George Williams(3/5), and So FS Kirk Wynn (4/6). Kicker is Sr Ephraim(7/8) again and Punter is Jr Plum again as well. Looks to be a season which we have most definitely improved from last year. The only question is, can we get a consistent running game with a new starter? QB Coleman is definitely more talented than Delhomme ever was, so we should improve there. Our WR's have improved from last year as well. Our OL is full of huge players, all of whom should dominate this conference. Could this finally be the year we win the conference and a bowl game? I say yes!

2011 Season We had one of the worst recruiting classes in the nation at 113 overall. Ouch. Except we got what we really need at the QB position with Coleman. Life saver he is! We're going to run a 3-4 defense this year after last season's failure with a 4-3. On the offensive side, we're going to try something new as well, and something the OC excels at teaching, the Vertical Passing game. Should be an interesting year! Something new for me as a coach. We started as an option team, went to a running game mainly, then eventually made our way here. Interesting! Scheduling We need four games this year to total 12. We ask Central Michigan for two games, New Mexico St. for two, South Carolina for two, and Idaho for two. South Carolina is the only team that declined our offer. So we go after San Jose State, who has been taking our recruits a lot over the past few years. So we'll beat 'em to show those recruits who's boss. SJSU accepts and the season is ready to roll.

Week 1 @ Central Michigan - CMU faves by 3 Our list of players on Academic Probation is VERY VERY long, we have to mix and match about 10 players who are potential players with study hall hours. We had to use half of our hours for the year on this week, which sucks. Hopefully the list will shrim down as the season progresses, but man, what a bunch of morons I've got, eh? 1st Quarter We stop Central Michigan to a 3 and out which we then took the ball down the field a little and settled for a 50 yard field goal which Ephraim nailed, of course. 3-0 early on. After another 3 and out for the Chippewas we drive right back down the field all the way to the 1 yard line where we had 4th and Goal. We go for it and pitch it to Rogers to the right who gets nothing on the play and it's a turnover on downs. Argh.. Let's get a safety to make me happy. We don't get a safety but we get the ball back after three plays for the 3rd time in a row. Our defense looking good so far against a decent offense attack. Ephraim gets another field goal as our offense sputters during our Goal Line attack. 6-0 with a little time to go in the 1st quarter. 2nd Quarter CMU finally gets a first down as the 1st quarter came to an end. They started with good field position after a fumble by one of our receivers on a nice pass gain. So now they've got the ball on our 35 yard line, which they eventually got a little further to settle for a 48 yard field goal, which they make. 6-3 early on in the 2nd quarter. We're unable to get in the endzone yet again and hit a 44 yard field goal to make it 9-3 with 10 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter. CMU takes advantage of our short zone defense and goes deep for a 57 yard touchdown pass. 10-9. Crap.... dumb me. Ephraim misses his first field goal of the day and season from 42 yards out this time. He's 3 for 4 on the day. The score is still 10-9. The half ends on a missed field goal for CMU, which only happened because Coleman threw a pick. Other than the interception, Coleman is playing pretty well. He's 16 of 23 for 192 yards. RB Rogers has 15 carries for 64 yards. He's been playing well too, but we just can't come up with anything other than a darn field goal. We're outplaying the Chippewas so much, but it's not showing up on the scoreboard. We're outgaining them so far 245 to 138. I suspect we'll still win this game. 3rd Quarter Matt Rogers ends our opening drive with a 2 yard run. 12 plays, 68 yards, 58 yards on the ground, most of them coming from Rogers. 16-10 now. The first play of CMU's offense results in a Scott Jue interception. 1st down for the Aztecs on their 38 yard line! Woot. Thanks to some more stellar throws by Coleman, we were able to settle for an easy 26 yard field goal from Ephraim. 19-10 now. 4th Quarter The defensive dominance continues for us as we get the ball back at the CMU 43 yard line after stopping them to a 3 and out deep in their territory. CMU has only 162 yards so far. :) Ephraim's 36 yard field goal attempt comes up short as he misses his 2nd field goal of the game. Score stays at 19-10. Coleman connects to WR Wigham for a touchdown from 3 yards out. 26-10 with 7 minutes to go. CMU still under 200 yards on the day. George Williams picks one of and runs it back 72 yards for the touchdown on a CMU hail mary. 33-10. 6 minutes to go. CMU still has 162 yards of offense. We make another interception as LB Joseph comes up with the pick. 5 minutes to go. We should be able to run the clock down to the final minute. Joseph makes another interception as the clock dwindles down. This followed a Coleman interception, which was his 2nd pick thrown on the day. I meant to run the ball, but oops. :) That would be the final score, 33-10. Coleman finishes 32 of 44 for 352 yards. 1 TD, 2 INTs. I'm glad that we've got a high completion % QB finally. Not only that, but he's got some nice wheels too, running the ball Rogers debut goes well, 36 carries for 121 yards and a TD. Pace gets 7 catches for 112 yards. 1-0 after outgaining the Chippewas 507 to 168. Good balance. :)

Week 2 vs New Mexico State - Aztecs favored by 16... ouch for NMSU We've lost WR MacPherson for a few months, so we'll need some of our backups to step it up, which should not be a problem. This is going to be a real ugly game for New Mexico State, they've got no defensive line whatsoever. I feel bad that I asked them to play me. 1st Quarter After a 48 yard run by Rogers, we settle for a Ephraim field goal. This occurs way too much. Ephraim kicks too many field goals, we need to get better in the red zone! 3-0 NMSU takes advantage of the short field thanks to a fumble by Rogers. They get a field goal to tie it up at 3. 2nd Quarter The Aggies are moving the ball surprisingly well and get another field goal after forcing us to punt. 6-3 with 12 minutes to go in the half. NMSU continues to move the ball down the field with ease against our defense to get another field goal increasing their lead to six, 9-3 now with 3 minutes to go in the half. We move quickly down the field thanks to the arm of Coleman, but we can't convert on third down forcing us to kick a 47 yard field goal, which Ephraim makes, the score now 9-6 with 50 seconds to play in the half. The Aggies go to the air on the first play and that proves to be a mistake as Joseph makes his 3rd pick of the season, returning it 10 yards back to the 15 yard line! Woot. Aw, crap, we run out of time as we tried going to the end zone with 11 seconds to go. The time runs out after an incomplete pass. I thought we'd have time to have one more play, but apparently not. Half time it is. 3rd Quarter Rogers has done nothing since his 48 yard run, so he'll need to step it up this half, as does our defense! They've almost given up more yards today than the did all of the first game. The defense starts out on the field in the 2nd half and forces a 3 and out to give the ball to our offense quickly. Like during the first series of the game, Rogers ran his second handoff 37 yards this time compared to 48 yards before. This leaves us with 1st and 10 in the red zone now. We're forced to kick a field goal after a false start and a sack. The field goal is blocked the and returned 24 yards for NMSU. Damn. 9-6 still. We get the ball back after the Aggies punt it alllll the way back to our 1 yard line. That won't stop us from going down the field. Coleman took charge and passed for 83 yards during the drive over 13 plays including the 19 yard strike that resulted in a touchdown to Murphy! 13-9. 4 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter. Coleman leads the way again, as he connects with TE Alston this time from 3 yards out for the touchdown. 20-9 as we near the end of the 3rd quarter. Coleman having a helluva game. The defense doing real well now too, still holding the Aggies to under 200 yards so far, only giving up 9 yards so far in the half. 4th Quarter NMSU finally gets something going as the move down the field only to have their field goal BLOCKED by TE Alston. Weehaw. Matt Rogers gets the hand off and busts through the line full steam ahead and he goes 62 yards for the touchdown! That wraps up this game! 27-9 with 4 minutes to go. Rogers is definitely better than Reese, since he can actually break open a play and score from 20+ yards out. Reese's career long was I believe under 30 yards! Unreal. I'll look it up if I remember to. On the Aggies last drive of the game they get over the 300 yard mark on offense, but still come up with no points to end the game. The final score is 27-9 as we move to 2-0 on the season. Woops, scratch that as the Aggies get the ball back only to be sacked twice for 13 yard losses total bringing them back under the 300 mark, 293 yards total offense. Hah! Eat it baby! Rogers has 31 carriers today for 197 yards! Impressive, very impressive. Almost as impressive is Coleman's numbers. 21 of 27 for 208 yards and 2 TDs. Our offense outgained the Aggies 439 to 293. We've got a bye next week to get ready for the conference games.

Week 4 vs 1-1 Colorado State - Rams favored by 4....hmmm, I don't think sooo! DON'T READ - SKIP TO NEXT POST, THIS GAME HAD A RUNTIME ERROR With the 4th ranked defense in the nation, we take on the Rams next at our house. Dantzler and LB Joseph have been big keys for us so far. DE Dantzler has 5 sacks already while Joseph has 3 picks! Keep it up, big boys! 1st Quarter After a good defensive battle for the first 12 minutes of the game, we finally get down the field and kick a 36 yard field goal which is made by Ephraim for a 3-0 lead! 2nd Quarter The Rams come right back down the field to kick a field goal for themselves. Tied up at 3 now. We go 74 yards on the next drive only to settle for another field goal. 6-3 with 10 minutes to go in the half. As the half comes to a close, we get another field goal, this time a 27 yarder for Ephraim. We're so close to getting into the endzone but we just can't get over the hump. 9-3 with less than a minute to go in the half. 3rd Quarter Coleman makes his first horrible throw of the half as we start out with the ball in the 2nd half. Coleman threw an interception at midfield to give CSU the ball. CB Art McCrary comes right back though and gets the ball back with an interception of his own. Ephraim nails his 4th field goal of the game making it 12-3 with 9 minutes to go in the half. This one was from 40 yards out. The Rams go down the field and get a 50 yard field goal to make the score 12-6 with some time remaining in the 3rd quarter. But as the kickoff came about, there was a runtime error 91......................... damn................ I'm 94% sure I saved it before this game, but still.. Damn.

Let's do it again... Week 4 vs 1-1 Colorado State - Rams favored by 4....hmmm, I don't think sooo! With the 4th ranked defense in the nation, we take on the Rams next at our house. Dantzler and LB Joseph have been big keys for us so far. DE Dantzler has 5 sacks already while Joseph has 3 picks! Keep it up, big boys! 1st Quarter After punting it back and forth we finally get into the red zone but not before a stupid penalty on Alston which was unecessary roughness making us kick a long field goal from 49 yards out, but thankfully Ephraim is the man. It's 3-0 with five minutes to play. The game so far is going much like the first time around, so I'm glad about that. 2nd Quarter The Rams come back down the field and hit a 43 yard field goal to tie it up at 3 early on in the 2nd. Houston gets a catch from 6 yards out from Coleman for the touchdown! 10-3! We finally score a touchdown! RB Rogers dominating the game so far, 11 carries 78 yards. The Rams come back with a touchdown of their own tying the game at 10 with 3 minutes to go in the half. 10-10 is the way it stays as we go into the half. CSU gets the ball to start it. Rogers has 106 yards on 14 carries, so we need to continue to get him the ball. 3rd Quarter The Rams start the half with a field goal taking the lead 13-10. Ephraim makes a 43 yard field goal to tie it right back up midway through the 3rd quarter. 4th Quarter Rogers starts to turn it on as he touched the ball 6 times and ran it 52 yards to move us into a goal line situation. 2nd and Goal on the 10. Coleman sets up and throws it to Houson in the endzone, TOUCHDOWN! 20-13! Still over 11 minutes to play though. Coleman connects with Houston in the endzone for the 3rd time in the game for another touchdown. 27-13 as we extend the lead with 7 to play in the ball game. After a quick 3 and out CSU punted it and we gave it right back to them as CB Fred Rogers fumbled into the hands of the Rams with five minutes to play. This would have been the end of the game but noooo, we keep them alive. On 4th and 3 with the end of the game coming to an end, the Rams not only convert, they go 57 yards for the touchdown giving them 300+ yards on the day... dannnnnnnnng! That will be the end of the game as the Rams don't get the onside kick. We move to 3-0 thanks to a 27-20 win over CSU. Rogers the player of the game, easily... 32 carries for 213 yards, no scores. Coleman had three touchdown passes, all to WR Houston. We get another week off before we face a good TCU team.
