Yes Eidenhoek you better make this a damn dairy! (So I can pick up pointers for my challenge, since it's the first time I've actually played around with C-Verse)

Okay finally figured out my characters, 'Number 1' Matt Young, stats, stole Eidenhoeks idea for 100 Babyface and then 50/100/100 for Cool/Legit/Wholesome (why not). Here's the rest of the stats that have any value.

Aerial: 25

Mat Work: 30

Chain Wrestling: 10

Submissions: 30

Microphone: 40

Charisma: 40

Acting: 15

Announcing: 4

Athleticism: 50

Toughness: 50

Stamina: 50

Power: 50

Basics: 55

Psychology: 70

Saety: 55

Consistency: 50

Selling: 50

Sex Appeal: 30

Star Quality: 45

Refereeing 1

And if my data entry skills are what they should be, that should be 750!

Going to start up Central States Wrestling in the midwest.

Diary made. I'm actually 18, and the product is Key: Traditional, Mainstream, Comedy, Lucha Libre.

Dunton Hall has a 0 on his gimmick. Awwww...and I made myself "Blue Collar", except "Bluer Collar" with 1 risk (is that the glitch? Huh...).

I will be splitting into two brands, making every show branded on the brand no one is on. Why? Shut up is why.

I looked over the show you ran, Jaysin, you really got a lot of expensive talent. I can only imagine how much Hell Monkey, Snap, Gauge and Keith cost you. I think you went a tad overboard on the hires.

In any other type of game, those would be great hires but for what's going on here it'll kill your promotion by bleeding money.

If you restart and hire smaller guys, Ant Man, Running Wolf, the Remus kid, get a lady or two from BSC to be announcers, you'll go a lot further i'd imagine. Keep posting, i'm find this thread to be really fun to read. 0 promotions are very interesting to see and i find that many of the tips in here apply to every game that i run.

Good luck guys.

Guessing your product wasn't very good for sponsorship. With such little starting money good sponsorship is a necessity.

I just ran a test month to see how much sponsorship I would get with my product, and got a suprising $4000. I was being stingy when signing workers because I thought sponsors would give me peanuts. So stingy my show was 10 minutes of me having a promo with Nathanial Casino, before Ant-Man joined us in the ring for an epic 48 minute match, with no announcers, the road agent was Honey Golightly & the ref was J.K Stallings (who I decided could be my owner). :p

The product (which was key features:hardcore, risque & daredevil) brought in $2000 each month and it was wk4 when we went under

Who are you guys using as owner? I've tried a few different guys, but struggling to find someone that fits...

J.K Stallings. He is less than useless at everything and served no other purpose in the database.

Setting the owner as someone useful just seems wrong to me for this challenge.

I went for Davis Ditterich in the end, under the theory I'd have signed him anyway. He's costing me 1500 a month as owner though, which is a lot more than the 600 you pay him normally :(

I set my first owner as Gil Thomas. He's got some use as a color commentator, but I tend to put my managers in that spot to help them develop their skills and and gain in overness. Mostly, I just picked him because he's flashy with his money.

Having looked at this more closely, I saw I'd forgotten to change the written contract to a PPA. So I restarted, and he's on 500 per appearance. Now I feel much better :)

Satrted up CWB (Boston) with $1000 and 0/0/0

Starting Roster is:

Soldier Ant (Ant-Man), Adrian Noelson (Paradigm), Paradox, Sterling Keenan (Paranoia), Dwayne Hewitt, Ernie Turner, Kenny Jones (K-Squared), Lee Bambino, Phonse Lockett (Owner), Rayne Man, Roderick Remus, Stan Manna, Zachary Inc and my user character-

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy295/SWF_Fan/Untitled.png

About to run the first of 4 shows a month, running a league so there's always 6 matches a show and the league can run for about 5 and a half months before the bottom 2 are relegated. First one will see the winner crowned champion.

Let's see how long before I go bust aye...

Also a little bit of info on the company, 80% match ratio and the product is purely key mainstream, comedy and traditional, super money for that.

I am going to have a quick joke to see how much a user character can improve in one year.

Same user character as I posted before, but the promotion will be MHVW. What does that stand for? Matt Hall vs World. The promotion will run hour long shows featuring:

Matt Hall argues with Person 1

Matt Hall vs Person 1

Matt Hall argues with Person 2

Matt Hall vs Person 2.

Lets see what growth I can achieve in one year, running two shows a month. :p

Edit - Actually 1 show most months, 2 would put me in debt :p.

Greg Gauge just nearly gave me a heart attack. First he said he wanted to pursue other options but then I tried again and he re-signed. Now that I know hes unstable (even though I know hes stably locked in the indies with his 3 contracts) I might have to take the title off of him.

That happens all the time. If anyone says they want to explore other options, it pretty much means "Send me another negotiation and I will accept"

Something I've just realized works well, is to brand split your roster

As long as their is no downside agreement, you theoretically could sign every $100 worker in the game, put maybe 3 into one brand and the rest into another and then do an event for the small brand with your worker involved too. Managed to get a $600 wage cost that way (3 wrestlers, ref, announcer, colour)

Ran twice in a month and only lost $1200 on wages to the $4000 I got in sponsorship and nobody was unhappy.
