The Gendarmes expertly cut the ring in half, using trickery and deceit to score countless cheap shots. Jack tries to ground the huntsman, but instead gets trapped in the corner and pummeled with no-nonsense brawling. Jack rage builds and builds and he goes berserk with right hands and shoulder tackles, but Fraser hunts him down and utterly brutalizes him, tossing him outside.

Ricky gazes at the vial of potion in his hands... and doesn’t drink.

Everything he tries is easily predicted by the masked mystery’s supernatural precognition. Precision punches blocked. Shoulder tackles avoided. High-risk offense not paying off. Soothsayer scores a Seated Face Plant, and picks him apart, stopping any and all comebacks with casual ease. None of the DeColt strategies work.... So Ricky takes a page out of The Elite’s book. He delivers some fancy lucha-arm drags before hunting Soothsayer down and trapping him in the corners. He bullies him around the ring. He rakes the back, eyes and inner thighs. He attempts a Seated Arm Stretch but can’t figure it out. Overhead Kick! Harbinger (Flying Flip Neckbreaker)! 1... 2... Kick out! Panicked, Ricky scrambles to the ropes... and finds the vial of potion!

ALEX DECOLT snatches the vial out of his hands and refuses to give it to his younger brother. Furious, Ricky shoves him and Alex falls off the apron, landing badly on his injured leg. Ricky is momentarily torn between picking up the potion and helping up his brother... and chooses the potion! He drinks deep. Alex watches helplessly as his younger brother drops to his knees, body wracked with pain. Ricky thrashes around on the mat, unleashing a guttural scream then... Silence.

Ricky DeColt rises. Soothsayer, who has been simply watching this entire time, stands in the middle of the ring, spreading his arms wide, opening himself up for Ricky to spear him out of his boots, and rain down brutal closed-fists. He presses the masked mystery overhead and drops him hard. DeColt 45 (Roll Inverted DDT)! Another! A third DeColt 45! 1... 2... 3!

in a sea of hate. The white knights have failed, so it's up to a Dark

Knight to save her. But I can't do that as a Sparkling Vampire, hiding

in the shadows. I have to become someone else. I have to become

something else.

The five men eye each other warily, waiting to see who’ll make the first move. Trent slowly moves behind Price. Donte charges first and- Poison Mist! Donte is blind! Trent & Christian go to war with Zeus & Poison. Punches. Kicks. Uppercuts. Slams into the Chamber wall. Wiping the mist from his eyes, Donte rocks all four opponents with forearms, before giving Christian an airplane spin! 8 rotations! Lariat! Trent is next. 14 rotations! Lariat! Here comes Zeus. 11 rotations! Lariat! He hoists up Poison, but the champion slips free. Ripcord Lariat! 1... 2... Trent breaks it up. The Sparkling Vampire assaults Poison’s weak-spot with sharp elbows and dropkicks, but the monster keeps coming. Trent flees up the cage and uses the high-ground to stomp down on the weak spot, causing massive damage and- BOOM! Almighty Zeus summons a lightning bolt that hits the cage, electrifying Trent.

Christian Price avenges his friend with european uppercuts, but is overwhelmed. Poison takes him apart with right hands, while Zeus executes powerful slams. Donte Dunn valiantly attacks the monsters, but he too is overwhelmed. Poison throws him with unnatural ease, while Zeus randomly alternates between flashy holds and cruel strikes. Price and Donte are taken to separate corners, and the monsters stomp their unprotected heads over and over... and over and over and over... but Poison starts to fade.

Davis Ditterich “That’s the 16 minutes. Poison’s potion is wearing off, but after Ricky DeColt’s assault earlier, I don’t think Soothsayer is still conscious.”

Poison searches for another vial of potion, more and more frantically, desperate to hear the chimes... but there’s nothing. No chimes. No potion. No monster. He’s Joey again, and he’s scared. Price explodes out of the corner with thunderous european uppercuts. Simple. Effective. Unstoppable. Sending Joey flying around the ring. Stud Stopper (Twisting Snap Powerslam)! Zeus tries to blindside him, but Trent intercepts with a dropkick, and the Dynamic Duo take the God out. Price Check (TKO)! Heart Burn (Double Foot Stomp)! 1... 2... Price breaks up the pin.

Davis Ditterich “Uh oh.”

Trent demands he get to make the pin, while Christian (reluctantly) wants to fight for it. Backing down, Trent prepares a handful of- Donte hits Sunny Daze (Twisting Face Crusher) on Trent! Price avenges his friend with Price Check on Donte! Zeus out of nowhere with Thunder Bolt (Sit Out Bomb) on Price! The Almighty God of the Future stands tall… Joey sneaks up and locks him in the Antidote Web (Complex Cradle) 1… 2… 3!

I may be offline all day tomorrow, so I thought I'd post this a little early. Or maybe I was just excited.

A below-average main event, but not unexpectedly so. Four of the five may have substantially better popularity than they began 2013 with, but none of them are ring generals. Plus, Donte was in there. Otherwise, a damn good show. A chemistry note here. Helpful tag experience there. Soothsayer & Ricky having their best match. Certainly can't complain.

Predictions were interesting. Mostly you guys picked the same people to win (Soothsayer/Ricky had some variety, as did the main) but thanks to a couple of upset, you were made to look foolish. A betting man could have made good money on Bobby Thomas tonight. I'll admit I was a little surprised at the certainty a heel would exit the Chamber as Champion however. I thought Trent or Christian would get a little something. Although in hindsight I can see why.

Thanks for all the responses to the <a href="https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/CR79FT3" rel="external nofollow">END OF YEAR AWARDS</a> so far. It’s cool to know so many of you are reading, and it’s helping me shape what’s to come. Which has been a headache, let me tell you. A lot of the survey responses mentioned characters getting ‘lost in the shuffle’ due to sheer amount of them... and that’s true. Quite frankly, I don’t know how I ended up with so many focal points. I blame Eddie Chandler. I let him carry a few DeColt-less stories early on, and the snowball turned into an avalanche and... Damn him. Talented scum.

I’m really excited, because after I get done with morning things (gotta work on that DeColt physique) I get to play the last episode of Title Bout Wrestling for the year, and see how my guys fare in the Power 500.
