I've also used some of the tips in this thread and set up a development fed to train new stars. Been using the B Show mainly to get people wins back after their losses on the A Show.</p><p>

One signing that's surprised me has been Seven Brandt, his pop's raised from 40 all over USA to 46 in South East and 43 everywhere else. He's only been used in 4 shows so far, once in the pre-show on the A TV show, twice on the Main section of the B show and once on the pre-show of the PPV. He hasn't been booked in dominating victories and has only beaten Enhancement level workers. I'll be keeping an eye on him because he's defo rising fast.</p>

After GLW hit stud status right out the gate, my new goal is to try and get a 0/0/0/0 promotion to at the very least a TV deal in the shortest amount of time. I've also tried to limit myself by placing the following rules:

  • The promotion is rated to be more focused on popularity than performance.
  • I can't use workers from promotions more important than me.
  • I can't hire workers with more overness in the Great Lakes than my most over wrestler.
  • I am allowed to break one of the last two rules if I hit one of the following milestones: increase in size, first TV deal, first PPV deal.
  • At the end of every in game year, I can change the promotion's product by one level (starting in 2016).

So far I'm six shows and three months in and everything is going well. Realizing that a road agent is useless at this size has really opened things up for this challenge as I was able to pay a more money on the starting roster. The main event scene is Eddy Orion, Elix Storm, Keith Stein, and Buzzard with PINK Shotaro and Dante Laff playing the roles of overness engines (both wrestlers are able to successfully use the domination tag). The undercard includes an interesting mix of characters: Air Xaymaca, Brick Hauzer, Emir Tanovic, Harris Carter, Kasper Deamonte, and Seung Zhi.

From a money standpoint, I couldn't be happier. The first month, RNG screwed me over with a combined $196 in merch and misc income and I still was able to turn a (very small) profit. The next two months averaged about $1,500 placing me with a cool $3,328 at the start of November.

I for one and looking forward to hitting Small, if nothing but to have the money to replace Kylea Downey as the referee. I'm also planning on running three shows a month. I'm sure nothing is going to go wrong.

Edit: In December, Epic Wrestling Entertainment was opened by Roscoe Carmine. Just what I needed, ANOTHER company in Great Lakes regional battles.

I discovered a YouTube channel for someone called silytuck who has 8 vids of booking AWF. He's only booked 7 shows, I'm thinking of copying the initial booking exactly and going from there. Liked what he was doing aside from leaving the starlets off most events.

AWF Update

This is the game where I re-created Silytuck’s booking from his AWF vids. It’s now Week 3, September 2014 and 7 shows have been run. There are two Shockwaves left until Power to the People.

I was able to stay pretty close to his booking with some exceptions:

  • I have Jack America as my user character rather than The Puppet Master.

  • I’m the owner of AWF.

  • I didn’t have the working agreement with DRAGON Pro Wrestling in place early enough so some of DRAGON Michinoku’s job matches were taken by Jack America.

  • I also added a working agreement with Pro Wrestling HONOUR and changed Championship Wrestling from Tennessee from non-aggression to working agreement. I have not done any talent trades with either company yet.

  • I didn’t sign Susy Van Zant quickly enough so she didn’t take the Starlet’s title at Uprising. None of the titles have changed hands yet. Susy is now in the company though.

  • Like with every AWF game, I signed Deuces Wild & Sissy to a one-year deal.

  • Revolver Binx was injured for 6 months with a Compound Zygomatic Fracture on the final Shockwave before Uprising. Deuces Wild have been taking some of the matches that Silytuck booked for Enemies of the State.

  • I didn’t split Ieshia from Silva Dolla. They didn’t have poor chemistry in my save so I’ve kept them together.

  • In addition to KISS & Merengue, Helen Noir and Dax Deekins were fired.

Here’s where I’m at now:

  • Timothy Hawk came out on top in a 4-way match at Uprising against Silva Dolla, Drake Richards, and Garrett South and is now in a program with just Silva Dolla.

  • Cross defeated Patriot at Uprising and has moved on to a program with Mo Fury.

  • After Revolver Binx’s injury, Deuces Wild are now in a storyline with Enemies of the State and Buff’n’Tuff for the tag titles.

  • Casey Skym & Prophecy are locked in a struggle to become AWF’s controlling partner. But with 60 days left on Skym’s contract and an increasingly annoyed Kitty Reardon complaining about being left off shows, there may be a change to the storyline in the coming months.

  • Jean-Claude Giroux thinks Core is ugly, so they’re going to fight. They have the second hottest storyline in the AWF, behind Hawk & Dolla.

  • Towerblock beat Joe Havanna & Theo Barkley at Uprising and became Adrienne’s new client.

  • Cloud James was signed and he founded The Insurrection stable. James recruited Ricky Fyre, who turned heel and is now Blayze.

  • Something needs to be done about the Midcard & Lower Midcard. There are a combined 11 heels verses just 6 faces.

So I finally decided to try this mod out in these, the last days of TEW13.

OH MY GAWD! You guys did some AWESOME work.

So I took over PEWWA ('cuz I'm hardcore, duh? :p ) and used my normal user character. I was gonna use Hell Cat but she would've made things WAY too easy. I tend to like to use UCs that work primarily behind the scenes. Maybe I'll use her when I run GDR.

Anyway, I'm building the entire promotion around Marie Chevalier with Sabine Maier as her partner/sidekick. We'll see how it goes. :) I wanna sprint to Regional to get TV then coast until Cult (my usual strat).

Is there a T-Verse character for Tama Tonga?

Not a direct replacement because it's poor practice (in my own eyes) to just basically import a real world worker and make them a character in the mod (or any fictional mod for that matter). Whilst we've got parallels to multiple real world workers, there are very few you can point to and go "Oh yeah, he's definitely 100% Worker X from the real world".

And some of them get REALLY close (Casey Skym comes to mind, not even mentioning Terry Thunder), which is a testament to the team.

I have a "B" show with AWF. I used to hate having to mess with it, but it is a necessary evil for growth and money. What I've started doing is using it only for a few Midcarders and all my lower card guys. I've even started show Singles and Tag belts along with using some storylines esclusively fo the show. It's giving me some motivation and fun booking the show and developing my undercard.

I see several that have to have been influenced by a real world worker.

I don't deny that as seen below.

But what I don't quite understand is why there needs to be a "a character for Tana Tonga". If you want to book Tama Tonga (and the same goes for any real world people) why not just play a real world mod?

Nice update, titlebelt.

Glad you have joined us on the ThunderVerse train, Remi.

There are workers inspired by real workers, but I find it similar to the Cverse in that sense - when you see a connection to someone real, there will be almost as many aspects that are different than are the same. So Hogan and Sam Strong, for example. Or Vince McMahon and Richard Eisen. But personally, I love the differences as much as I enjoy the similarities, because it allows me to have the freedom to use them as I want, rather than feeling pigeonholed into "well, this guy is this particular worker, so I have to use them as such".

I see several that have to have been influenced by a real world worker.

Influenced, sure. But not simply that worker imported in. I do agree with MHero here - if you want that exact worker to book them, why not a RW mod? Or just import them?

Now, if you want someone similar, then just look at what elements you see as key to that real worker and look for those.

I have a "B" show with AWF. I used to hate having to mess with it, but it is a necessary evil for growth and money. B shows can be bothersome at times if you don't do anything of interest. Just booking meaningless angles to train up the entertainment skills of the younger talent and random matches to help them in the ring.... that gets old. So find ways to make it more interesting. A low level belt that the young guys can pass around can be fun. So can running a low-level feud, especially if its something that you can build on long term. Imagine a slow-burn type feud that heats up every so often. Maybe you bring in two young promising workers with no popularity, team them up for a time, then have one turn on the other. That feud could gradually help both of them rise, add in to other stories, and could be career defining for both men (or women) over the long haul. There is great potential if you have the right workers.

I love this mod so much. After being a CornellVerse devotee since TEW 2004, I can honestly say right now that I now see the ThunderVerse as the standard by which all fictional mods are measured. The time and effort put into fleshing out all of the characters, combined with the high quality and consistency of the renders, are mind boggling. Thanks to everyone who put in the time and effort to make this mod a reality.

I am just wrapping up July of 2017 in my PWI game, marking the 3 year anniversary of the game starting. My PWI is currently International, but we are struggling mightily to reach Global - despite having A/94 popularity throughout the US, regional importance is keeping us from reaching B importance in enough regions. I'm a bit concerned if we'll be able to get there, frankly, as the industry is currently on the downturn and it will only get harder from here.

AWF just recently fell to Cult, and most of their top stars (Giroux, Drake Richards, Core, Mountain Albert) are now well past their primes, and they have done a poor job of elevating guys to take their places. When the main event isn't Hawk vs. Richards or Hawk vs. Silva Dolla, their shows aren't much to write home about. Meanwhile, DRAGON remains at Cult, but are highly dependent upon Ryotaro Naruto to carry them as DRAGON Michinoku is in terminal decline, Jung DRAGON and Cameron Cody jumped ship to PWI, and Evan Kuja was stolen by The Club (who recently jumped to Cult as well). Furosuto is pretty much their only other guy, and I have a feeling he might be signing elsewhere soon as well... hint, hint.

Over in Japan, DIASPORA are National while UPJ remains at Cult. DIASPORA continue to put on better quality shows, even as UPJ is cannibalizing their roster and destroying the credibility of their titles - the DIASPORA Heavyweight title, vacated when Eikichi Minamoto signed a written deal with UPJ, was won by Nobuhisa Yasutake, whom both DIAPORA and HONOUR had built up for years... only to see him also immediately sign with UPJ, vacating the title again. Talisman also jumped ship while holding the DIASPORA Super Junior title, with Hiroto Nori winning the vacant title afterwards. RIKU, who is loyal to DIASPORA, now has the Heavyweight title, but that division is getting very thin... especially now that Yuto Shiba, who looked primed to break out, is out for over a year with a head injury that he may never come back from. HONOUR remains at Cult as well, still leaning heavily upon Sonoda and a few loyalists like Taheji Ebisawa and KAMIKAZE, but they're a distant third in the race at this point.

As for what PWI has been up to, currently our top guys are Sean Riley, Cloud James, Eli Morton, and Scott Hart. Funnily enough, Riley became the company's franchise player almost entirely by accident - the original plan was for Ethan Paro to be built up over 2015 to win the title from Eli Morton at Night of Glory 2016, but a summer program between Dead or Alive and The Lothario Standard skyrocketed Riley, James, and Morton all to A popularity while Ethan never really caught on. James turned heel on Riley in September 2015 by costing him his PWI Championship match with Morton, and the two had great chemistry as opponents, so their feud established them as the top babyface and heel in PWI, respectively. In the end I just went along with it, having Riley get his ultimate victory over James in January and winning the title in February 2016, ending Morton's record-breaking 19 month title run. James took the title from Riley in June 2016, and had an amazing run with the title (including A* matches with Hart and Curtis), before losing it back to Riley at Night of Glory 2017 (also an A* match, and the main event of my first-ever perfect 100 rated PPV).

With Riley, James, Morton and Hart already well established, I'm trying to build Tyler Mercury (now a babyface) up as the company's next major star. Sebastian Curtis, meanwhile, is now ~4 years post prime, so he's created a stable called Legacy with two proteges who started out as largely comedic, tongue-in-cheek heels in Pierre Lejosne and Sylvain Charles (called The French Connection, with the in-joke being that neither is actually French, while also being a shot at Power Connection, Richie Santana Jr. and Talon, who were their early rivals). Lejosne and Charles are now two-time tag champions and are B+/A overness throughout the US, leaving me to figure out how to get the tag titles off of them and put them into the main event scene well ahead of schedule.

As for the immediate story: Sean Riley, now a two-time champion, successfully defended his title against Eli Morton at Night of Justice in a cage match in July, handing Morton only his third-ever pinfall loss in PWI (the first was ~18 months ago at Night of Glory 2016, the second was a flash roll-up to Tyler Mercury in January 2017). Three days later on TV, still selling the beating from Morton, Riley was taunted into putting the title on the line against Seb Curtis and beaten in the main event, making Curtis the first ever three-time PWI Champion. Next month, Curtis will screw Riley over again while Tyler Mercury gets the biggest PPV win of his career against Cloud James in the co-main, setting up Mercury's long-awaited title win at Night of Honor (essentially our SummerSlam) in September.

Lots of other stuff going on as well - Scott Hart becoming an angry loner after his British Hart Family allies James Gilmour and Clayton Bennett turned on him, Damon Hell (The Ghost Rider) brainwashing Kris Phoenix and turning him into a demonic heel while feuding with the reunited Paros, the heel Van Holts kicking Jimmy South to the curb only to have him return as the manager of Go Takashi & Jason Reed (rejuvenating them as a tag team in the process), and James Gilmour deciding to singlehandedly rid PWI of all cruiserweights after being humiliated by Jung DRAGON.

Wow, apologies for the long ramble. Again, thanks to everyone involved in making this mod, as this is by far the most enjoyable TEW game I've ever had. Hope to see some updates on the Vice mod soon, as some 80s-90s puroresu in the ThunderVerse sounds amazing!

Welcome Remi and everyone else who's discovered the T-Verse! I'm on a TEW hiatus until 2016 comes out, but I am seriously looking forward to trying out all the new features in the Thunderverse.

Will the AWC (did I get the acronym right, been a few weeks) have alliance titles?

  • 2 weeks later...

AWF: NOVEMBER 2014

I’m heading into the first Shockwave of November 2014. The just completed The Hollywood Horror Show PPV was our top event so far, scoring 87/B+ overall, with an 89/A Main Event which ties for the best match so far.

  • Lacking faces in the midcard and lower card, I signed Virgil Hogg Jr. and Porkchop Biscuit Jr. and have them in a ridiculous fun babyface tag team called The Junior Pigs. I’m going to bring in JD Hogg and have them form the Three Little Pigs stable. I’ll also be able to re-unite The Dangerous Hoggs team, who will probably become The Happy Hoggs.

  • Mario Neri and Julian Bishop have good chemistry and have formed the hilarious Urban Gladiators duo.

  • I signed Maori Warrior who was introduced by Cloud James as a savage/wildman bodyguard for The Insurrection.

  • AWF agreed a 3-show talent trade with Championship Wrestling from Tennessee for their World Heavyweight Champion Big Bubba (who also holds the HCG Hollywood title). Omri Stone and $5,000 were sent to CWT in the deal. Bubba was brought in to be a midcard face to do the job for guys who really need wins like Theo Barkley, Derrick Rollins and Joe Havanna.

  • Contract extensions were given to:

    Thomas Aria, 3-years, $10,150 (up from $8,112)

    Nikita, 1-year, $20,570 (up from $19,032)

    Casey Skym, 6-months, $27,410 (up from $24,960)

  • The first title change happened in mid-October on Shockwave when Patriot defeated Omri Stone for the AWF Television title. They are now in a program for the title.

  • Drake Richards defeated Timothy Hawk in a steel cage for the AWF World title at The Hollywood Horror Show PPV. Richards pulled something out of his boot and struck Hawk with it before pinning him for the strap.

  • Buff’n’Tuff retained the AWF World Tag Team championship against Deuces Wild at the same PPV.

  • Mo Fury defeated Cross for the AWF United States title at the same PPV.

  • Core defeated Jean-Claude Giroux and Immortal Warrior defeated Silva Dolla in the other big matches from The Hollywood Horror Show.

  • Silva Dolla and Klaxon were each hit for a positive soft drugs test in October and were each given a stern warning.

  • Claudia was given a stern warning after an incident with a fan.

  • Mo Fury was given a stern warning after provoking Omri Stone backstage.

  • AWF has extended their contract with Adrenaline network to keep broadcasting AWF Shockwave for another two seasons. AWF has also negotiated a one-season deal with CRASH:MEX who will start broadcasting Shockwave in Mexico on late evenings on Wednesdays.

Well I guess since everyone is doing it, I should too. One last long game and I think I'm going to take a stab at AWF again. My last game with them went for a year and a few months, but I got a bit bored with it when I went a bit signing crazy that made my roster too top heavy. So I figure I'd give AWF another run and see if I can go for at least two years. To help, I've created a few rules for myself to keep things interesting.

Only two wrestler per month

- Pretty obvious. Once I hit National, my roster was filled with a bloated Starlets division and a indie-rific roster. I think limiting myself will keep me in check and I probably won't do any impulse signings.

Only two staff members per month

- Similar to the above. I usually don't do this anyways unless it's to help locker room moral or I want a specific manager.

Only one AWF alumni per every six months

- This one is kind of cheating since letting go of someone is basically a six month wait anyways. But this also applies guys on the alumni list. I think I'm also going to cheat a bit more and let a tag team be considered "one".

Every new signing (with some exceptions) must be given a new name and/or gimmick

- Exceptions being guys like Eli Morton or someone who is a former from a Cult or higher promotion. Though, I may still give a somewhat known guy a new name even if their gimmick stays the same.

Every new signing must spend 6 months in developmental (with exceptions).

- At the moment, AWF doesn't have a developmental company and probably won't for some time, but when I do, this will go into effect. Again, I'm not going to be putting Eli Morton into my developmental...yet.

AWF Television Championship must be defended weekly

- A bit of a challenge until I can get a B-show since I usually do not like booking way-lower card feuds on my A-shows. Once I get a B-show and can do some storylines for it, I might allow the TV Championship on PPV like the ROH TV belt, but for now, it stays on weekly TV.

Garrett South must be a main eventer by the end of 2014 and main evented a PPV by the end of 2015

- Poor Garrett got lost in the shuffle after some indie signings by me. He's pretty young and got tools to be great, but he just never got any traction in my last game. So super Garrett South push-a-go-go

Create a credible tag team division for a multi-team match at Wrestlefest VIII

- At the start of the game, there are only two teams that are over 50 experience. Not like experience is a must. I'd like to have at least four teams prepped for Wrestlefest. Maybe a fifth one just in case. The New California Blondes will probably be one (unless Cool Chris becomes a pain in the ass) and Buff 'n' Tuff too. Possibly #Trending, but I like to have V.I.P. go on his own.

The moment Timothy Hawk loses the AWF World Championship, he must wait a year before he can win it again

- Hawk is obviously the guy in AWF. That being said, I think making him wait a year will be a fun challenge. I can still have him in World Championship matches of course, but he won't be winning them. AWF is blessed with having a pretty great main event scene anyways, but then I get the added problem of who I want to dethrone him...

Cross must remain United States Champion for the rest of 2014

- Pretty easy since I actually did this with my last game. It's awesome cause it helps me set up Cross for the main event, but sucks because the other upper-to-mid card guys will have to wait for their chance.

That's all I can really think of for now. If anyone else has any other ideas, I'd love to hear them!

I've downloaded and opened the Thunderverse for the first time today, despite having TEW 13 since release, and am astounded at the depth, variety and colourfulness to the game world. It's completely hypnotic. I've been spending the past hour just looking at the bio's and such.

Awesome work. I'm only sorry it's taken me so long to download it.

Obviously some of the parallels to real world stars of the business is obvious and very cleverly done. (Terry Thunder - Hulk Hogan, Guy Lothario - Ric Flair) I was wondering if there was a list compiled of some of the characters of the C-Verse and their real-life counterparts?

I don't want it to dictate my booking when I finally start, I'm just enthralled in the world and would love to see a comparison of the stars.
