Imagine a reality where the entire wrestling scene fell hard, but was picked up again by 19 of the best minds in the world... Those 19 minds chose their rosters from around the globe and now they are ready to go.... Plus I thought you might want to see how your old pals Chase & Eric are getting on in a different reality.... but I wouldn't recommend going through yet my boy...... Brian?....

So, first off welcome to my draft diary.

 

With this year's draft I have tried to bring together a lot of my favorites from the ThunderVerse, but also something that encapsulates at least some elements from my various ThunderVerse diaries over the years.

 

As such, this diary will follow both Chase Paige & Eric Lothario through their friendship in wrestling (like my 2010 LWA diary), shows will have a much more "GAW" feel about them whilst being written in the shortened format I used for the AWC: All Star Wrestling month-diary for the Vice hype (Yes, we are still working on Vice. No, no release date yet, it's a damn big project), I have some LotharioVerse hi-jinx in there and, of course, "Wrestling in Review" will be back.

 

Thanks of course to MHero (and helpers) for keeping things running smoothly in the Draft itself, MH again for putting it all together, the whole TVerse Team for being great to work with so we can produce the mod in the first place, the other drafters for thwarting my original plans and making me go in a much better direction and a special mention to NoNeck, who traded me "The God of Promo" Terry Thunder!

 

NOTE:

I have made a change to the draft data for the purposes of the diary, and that is to create Paige Entertainment as a network and sign NAWF to that rather than Paige-One: America. Paige Entartainment is a clone of Music Video Library changed from Cult to Mainstream and attached to the Paige Media umbrella network. (In my mind) this is the recently opened general entertainment network that Lois is the CEO of, and therefore as Lois is on the roster the promotion is on the network :) I also hired a couple of people I wanted but didn't have the space for in my 40 picks in Lesley Glovers & Ieshia.

 

NOTE2:

I've decided that we're coming into everything "mid-storyline" for the first few shows as I'm two weeks away from a PPV, the first show will make it clear what has come before ;)

The world is full of second chances, and with the North American Wrestling Foundation one family is getting the chance to right the wrongs of the past. Chase Paige is one man who is determined to rescue the family name from the sullied waters of his father's WWWE legacy.

 

And with a little help from a number of old-school legends, including Seb Curtis, "The Second Son of Zeus" Terry Thunder and Chase's right hand man Rudy Single, the NAWF is doing great business thus far. With it's almost pre-1990 style product and colourful characters, the NAWF brings something a little more traditional to the Northern US states.

NAWF UPDATE

1st August 2014

 

Welcome back to 'Wrestling in Review'. Well, it's been a while since we were last here and now Shane Allman's ridiculous lawsuit has been thrown out of court (largely thanks to the sudden fall of PWI over the summer) we're finally allowed to post our blogs on the internet again.

 

And what a summer it's been! Nearly every major promotion shut down almost overnight but with so many backers on the market my word has it risen again!

 

Thanks to our contacts Wrestling in Review has secured an exclusive contract with Chaise Paige's North American Wrestling Foundation, so make sure you check back regularly for all the gossip, backstage goings on and show announcements from the Mid-West's #1 promotion as they happen!

The Franchise Players want the prestige (and we all know Lois will try and seize any control she can in her brother's company), Living Life just want the applause of the fans... and the Cattle Rustlers? Well, word has it the Oxbridge Outlaw plans to trade in the gold for liquor! Regardless, winning this match will take them one step closer to the titles.

Living Life vs The Cattle Rustlers vs Franchise Players w/h Lois Paige - I hate predicting three ways, but Paige may make the difference here.

VIP vs Bill Hickock - Hickock is as close to a legend as any US wrestler not to fight in the WWWE can be, I'd say, but VIP has the youth advantage.

Seb Curtis vs Bobby Ruiz w/h The Coach - Ruiz has the youth advantage too, but don't think it's QUITE enough to get past the Sebsplex.

What a night for the NAWF! It turns out that last night's episode of NAWF SuperStars filmed live at The Falls Roadhouse in South Dakota was not only a great showing by all involved, not only the debut of the NAWF in the United Kingdom on Paige Entertainment, but according to our sources it was also the best received wrestling show in North America this week, and is tied in 1st place for best in the world with WORLD-1 in Japan (who also gained 73/100 on the TEW.com index for both their tour shows this week). Our sources tell us that contracts have been finalised and we will definitely be seeing the debut of the eluded to 4th member of The Coach's MMA AllStars stable on next week's NAWF SuperStars. While NAWF management are keeping very tight-lipped on the actual identity of their new worker rumours are abound since a "Final Cut" list was leaked last night. The list included names like Canadian hardman Bruiser Cassidy, Japanese former MMA star IJIRI and the virtually unknown Eastern European former sambo champion Andrei Kovalev, as well as wrestlers who have dipped their toe in the waters of MMA at one time or another during their careers and even a couple of workers who Single & Paige feel could maybe pull off the gimmick.
