Small Questions Thread & "Living FAQ"

Is there much of a downside to doing post-show dark matches for titles, like companies used to? I'm booking 1992 WWF and the top guys are involved in a lot of angles and squashes on TV but rarely defend the titles outside of the big four yearly shows.

I like the idea of say Ric Flair defending the World title against an up and coming midcarder like Tatanka in a post-show dark match (something for the live fans). I would maybe do this once a month, rotating with the other titles. Does it tank title prestige due to the lower potential match rating due to it being post-show?

Post show matches get lower ratings. Lower ratings can affect your championship prestige. If it happens a lot.

Other than that I can't think of any down side.

Having a random three or four way match with a prestige 30-40 belt defended only on post-show or pre-show. Taking advantage of that note to warm the fans up, then straight into the show opening promo.

Playing 2001 RW mod as WWF, it's in Jan and Royal Rumble is coming up and the current fued is Triple H & Angle like in real life, they are both Heel is there any penalties in TEW for having a Heel v Heel main event at a PPV?

Will better shows get me there quicker, or is the grade irrelevant so long as it's good enough to trigger a popularity gain?

Don't know why someone made the decision to not have him work matches, but there you go.

I apologize about having to ask but I've searched the forums and some topics but haven't found the complete answers I'm looking for I guess. I'm 5 years in a post screw job game starting out as OMEGA and then ending up as IWRG. Well I just recently saw a news flash about ROH having finance trouble so I opted to make them a developmental territory.

Now I see and understand the difference between child company and developmental and I see how to change it between them. I just dint see and know how to send my workers down there after I've switched it from a child to a developmental. In fact when I go into the developmental tab of my office and try to look at ROH after I select it from the drop box nothing is there. Can someone explain what I'm doing wrong and how to help. Thanks.

Oh by the way Harvey Feinstein is owner, eh so I'll change him out but Paul heyman is the booker as ECW was bought out years ago by WwF

Also had one more question about user character relationships I don't get a lot of negative back stage incidents so I rely heavily on the post show speeches is that a way to foster positive relationships with workers and also can user characters date or get married or have kids other than the legacy option in the database thanks again

You are on the wrong screen. You send people to development from your main roster screen. The "Send Away" button right beside "Close".

Click on it and then on the Meddle button, and you can try and create/advance relationships between two other workers on the roster.

It helps if your character is a nice person, I believe, as that makes the other workers more inclined to go along with you. The game will decide when and if that happens, and how the relationship progresses - you have no direct control over your character's relationships, and notably you're excluded from the list of workers available under the Locker Room Controls section.

Can a child company own a broadcaster?

What I want to do...

Parent Company > Parent Network (subscription, medium coverage)

Parent Company > Child Company

Child Company > Child Network (free to watch, very small coverage only in its home region).

Parent Company - Global Brand

Child Company - Regional Brand (one for US, one for Canada, one for Japan, etc), so each network have viewers across its own region only and not the global coverage of the parent brand.

I am thinking about one Parent Dojo in each region to keep the child companies supplied with talent. This will hopefully result in my main brand becoming a global powerhouse with strong access to diverse talent across the world.

Still trying to get used to TEW, finally after several attempts to get a game going I've managed to get a RW 2001 WWF game going, it's also helps that i'm watching the Raw & Smackdowns from that time on the Network to help me with booking to get me used to it.

My question is probs a silly one but Royal Rumble is week 3 in Jan, does that mean I have 2 Raws & Smackdowns before it and the 3rd Raw will be the day after RR?

The game weeks runs Monday-Sunday, so you'll have the week 3 Raw and Smackdown before the Rumble on the following Sunday.

If you click on the Schedule button in your office, you'll have a calendar you can use to double check when your events and shows are; I find it useful to always have my PPVs/Events on the same day each month so I can have a steady flow of shows between them.

Two questions about loyalty:

1) If a worker is loyal to a company, and that company is getting into a bidding war over the worker, is he then more likely to accept the offer from the company he is loyal to? (Think Sting who is loyal to WCW, but WWF is also bidding for him).

2) Will a worker who is loyal, take longer to get frustrated and angry and request his release from the company?
