Small Questions Thread & "Living FAQ"

I am 99% sure that this is incorrect. If they are set to "out of the business" they cannot be signed.

Yeah. I've never seen some one who is officially 'Out of the Business' be able to come back into the game without using the editor. 'On Hiatus' they can come back in if your company is big enough.

I've tried looking for this in search feature but its not coming up when I assume its been asked a bunch before. I keep getting the match suffered from "lack of psychology" note. It happens with any Main Eventer with a psychology less than 80 in matches more than 20 minutes? A 75 or higher psychology seems pretty good to me but apparently its not. What can I do to avoid this? Does all these matches have to be scripted? I can't just avoid having some of these guys main event my shows.

Thanks a bunch guys!

I might set him to "On Hiatus" and then try to entice him back :-)

Another question, sort of related. The Briscoes are extremely loyal to ROH and do not want to sign a written deal with because of that. Is there a way to get them to sign with me anyway?

Or does ROH have to go out of business before they'll sign with anyone?

You can change that in the editor as well.

I have a question on a similar topic. How do I get someone I want to not be a Booker of a company? Its killing me that I could sign Dusty Rhodes but hes booking now.

I have not discovered a way outside of the editor. You can make his contract expire and he will leave the company and leave the booking job, but I haven't found a way to hire them away -- which makes me sad sometimes because you might want to hire say, Nemesis to an exclusive deal but because he is booking IPW it can't be exclusive.

Add in another player and take over the booking position in the company in question. You can leave the game as the second player once you have him signed.

Living F.A.Q.

Q. I am trying to use my announcers in an angle but am being blocked because they're already in use? Why?

A. Because they are - the announcers for the segment are listed in the top right hand corner of the angle booking screen. If you want the announcers to also take part in the angle itself, they can't also be commentating, they must be removed.

I've always found this to be obnoxious. The announcers are the ones in announcing angles. It's to simulate when the camera is directly on announcers while they talk. Does anyone know if you get penalized for removing them from the annoucer section for the segment? Or is the best thing to do just to hire some annoucers that are simply for segments (Mean Gene types)?

Charisma and star quality are heavily involved in the calculation, but they're not the only thing - a worker's starting popularity is also taken into consideration (which, from your wording, is the information you were missing), as are several other factors like size.

Thanks for answering me Adam. I know you may be somewhat reluctant to give away too much about the "destiny stat" which you've referred to elsewhere as "the lifeblood of the game." I was wondering however if things like starting body type and wrestling style may give advantages or disadvantages in rolling a destiny stat? Are entertainers more likely to have higher population caps than a technical wrestler because the style would appeal to a more mainstream audience? Would a toned or muscular worker have a more advantageous roll than say a regular or flabby worker?

Also, does "body size" affect the destiny rolls of female workers in the same way it does male workers? It would seem somewhat strange if it does seeing there won't be too many super heavyweight female workers.

<p>I find it strange that "you can change it in the editor" always comes up as an answer. When someone asks how to do something, I instinctively assume they mean within the means of normal gameplay.</p><p> </p><p>

If someone asks "how can I get a rocket launcher in GTA?" people will generally tell them where one spawns on the map, what shops sell them, etc, not the weapons cheat. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/confused.png.d4a8e6b6eab0c67698b911fb041c0ed1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Someone asking "how can I influence the world beyond my logical control of the events" the answer HAS to be "Use the editor".</p><p> </p><p> Otherwise most of the questions can be answered with "Play normally for in-game years and hope for the best." Stuff like WCW going out of business at a specific moment; Out-of-business workers returning etc. cannot be archieved manually without the usage of the Editor.</p><p> </p><p> And that's without mentioning the fact that sometimes you will find minor mistakes in the mod during gameplay that have a quick fix. Like changing a wrestler sexual orientation or allowing a Vince McMahon to be a Occasional Wrestler.</p>

If the psychology score is about 85% or lower than the match rating at that point, there can be a psychology penalty. But there are still many potential bonuses to get after that (like momentum, charisma, star quality and more) to boost the rating higher still.<p> </p><p> The difference between Call In Ring, Scripted and using neither cann help too... high psych workers can get extra bonuses to pull matches up, having one worker better than the other will generally cover for the weaker worker a significant bit and scripting is good when workers have relatively weak psychology. Tailor that to your workers and then good things can happen. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="EBEZA" data-cite="EBEZA" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I find it strange that "you can change it in the editor" always comes up as an answer. Your example is entirely different in nature; it would only apply if there was no other way to get a rocket launcher in GTA but by using a cheat code. Also, not really productive to always go to the 'editor is cheating' argument. Personally, I only use the in-game editor to fix mod mistakes (like someone's performance [gimmick] stats all being at 50 or something like that) but I don't mind at all that someone plays the game in another way than I do.</p>

<p><p>Got a strange graduate situation...I'm a couple year or so into a real world mod save (SouthSideHitman, I think) and my 2 newest dojo graduates have both refused to sign developmental deals with me as my company is too small for them.</p><p></p><p>

Thing is, my company is currently no1 in the world! I tried signing them on written deals then sending them down to dev to work on overall skills but both were unhappy with this as they both thought they were unlikely to improve much.</p><p></p><p>

I have had other graduates before these guys with no issues at all, anyone have any idea what's happening here?</p></p>

one of em DID have a major toxic personality but the other was a pretty standard good guy, but as I said earlier, I had plenty graduates before this, first time anyone said no.</p></p>
