Looking to update USPW, especially now that it's becoming a more global brand.

Cryptic advertisements air during the end of 2015, about some big news/changes coming to USPW.

On the last episode of 2015, Allen Packer makes a rare television appearance. He says the time is right for USPW to become the global brand he always envisioned when he purchased it.

To that end, he introduces the new voice of the company...Peter Michaels.

He says Peter is bringing his expertise, and during their earlier meetings had suggested an alliance, making a pitch for how it would be beneficial. After several months of negotiations, World Wide Wrestling Entertainment was born.

(Alliance including CILL, AAA, QAW, two child companies, and possibly one more).

Jillefski is irate - feeling betrayed by having Peter Michaels come in, and more so when these big changes are taking place.

As Michaels makes his way to the announce table, Packer announces that he has found the person who will be in charge of this growth, and names Belle Bryden as the new General Manager.

It is Bryden who makes the biggest announcement when she is handed the microphone by Packer:

There will be a re-branding of USPW as it moves into the future. USPW must EVOLVE. She teases this will have a big impact on the current champions, which will be addressed on the new show, Monday night (Monday Week 1 January).

**The major change with regards to the titles is that they are going from 5 titles to 4 - using the EVOLVE titles - each champ gets the EVOLVE counterpart to their belt, with the exception of Trent Shaffer & Casey Valentine - they will be part of the match to decide the X Division Title).

The main storyline is likely to be the friction between Jillefski and the new regime, the old guard of USPW - The Force, James Justice, Chris Caulfield, etc vs the New Blood coming into the company).

Still in the preliminary stages of planning, thoughts? Suggestions?

I figure that this is the best place to make this announcement. For those who have been following my diaries, you will know that I have been having computer issues and that caused me to disappear for awhile. For a long time, I have made TEW and these GDS diary boards my obsession. It got to the point where I wasn't sure if I could be without it. Then, the computer issues happened and I was forced to step back. I was forced to reevaluate my life and this board's place in my life. I learned to live without it and focus on other things. I feel like I am a better man because that happened. I have learned to make this no longer such an obsession for me. So, with all of that being said, I must make the announcement that...

My new laptop arrives at the end of the week. Thank you to all my readers who have been patient with me. Things will not be exactly the same. This will no longer be an obsession. This will be a hobby as I continue to look for work and when I am employed at whatever new job I receive. I have thoughts right now on what I will be focusing on with my return. This includes my most recent USPW diary. I, also, have plans in mind for a possible WWF 1992 diary. But the sky's the limit. Again, thank you for your patience. I hope y'all enjoy the work thst is to come.

Barry's Log:

January 1st, 2016

Whelp; The contract's been signed, the paper work's been taken care of, it's official. I'm the new booker of SWF.

I guess this shouldn't have come to as much of a shock, I am a SWF veteran after all; former two time SWF champion and took part in some of SWF's best angles. It's thank to me Christian Faith was able to extend his career a few couple of years, and because of me; Jack Bruce began his rise to become the biggest wrestler SWF, hell, the entire world had seen in modern times. In recent years, I've retired and taken a backstage job taking care of all the matches.

Simply put, when you're as old as I am, it gets harder to do the things you used to do. Funny story, when I was like thirty or so I used to be able to do a shooting star press. No, I'm serious; I actually did one back in CGC back when ol' George ran the show. No chance that I could pull it off now, if I did; I'm pretty sure I'd either crack my skull open or end up in a wheelchair for the rest of my life.

But then, I start to ask myself? Why me? I've never run a wrestling promotion before, much less book a show. Maybe Richie got drunk off his ass again and decided to spit out some names, maybe the job was originally going to Eric or Jerry or even Phillip. (Enforcer Roberts for those not in the know) But no, he picked me...and boy did he choose a wonderful time to pick me.

To put it bluntly, things in SWF aren't so hot right now. In fact, they've actually kind of sucked. Don't get me wrong, the boys out in the back are trying their damnest out there and I'm sure Jerry meant well; but outside of Lobster Warrior's turn to the dark side and Gilmore and Rogue's rivalry, it's been a pretty rough year for the company. Especially in terms in ratings. And don't even get me started on the Black Wednesday Betrayal, I had to personally restrain Richard from strangling everyone. It's probably one of the reasons Peter (Michaels) got the axe, you can argue whether or not it was justified; but when he left, it was a pretty sad day for us in the locker-room.

And so, here I am; sitting in my office, looking at the roster, seeing what I have to work with and what I can do to make sure we don't have a repeat of last year.

Hold on tight, because the Runaway Train is rolling out of the station...

Join Barry Bowen as he maneuvers through life as the SWF booker in

So, I have been looking back on my USPW diary from the past as I prepare to make my return. I have to say that I do not know how Nevermore and J Silver did it. I don't know how they left for months on end and came back ready to post the next show. All respect to them and to others who make the long-term planning necessary to do such. As I look back, I can only see the mistakes that I made in the past. I made some shady moves that I cannot be proud of.

All of this is to say that when I make my return, I will be starting completely fresh. I will be using new ideas and things that you may never expect from me (Such as sticking to a diary). I make this decision to put out the best possible product for you, the readers. The readers, the fans are truly the ones for whom we write. If I simply wanted to create a world for myself, I could do so and simply view it myself. But I come here to get feedback and support and to share my journey with all of you.

In closing, I hope that this decision doesn't cost me the readers who I have come to count on more than you know. You are my inspiration. I cannot say thank you enough. I hope that each of you will give my new diary a chance when it appears soon and as always #keeppounding.

Sadly none. I searched a lot through old dynasties sections too, few months ago as I had same question as you. Best you have is the recent SOTBPW thread, where I have collected everything I had found on Mexican scene of Clverse.

http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=537620

There was a SE dynasty which helped me a lot. It was MPWF, a comedy,SE company I guess. Company is now closed though, according to Clverse lore.

It's not same thing though tigerkinney did a FCW dynasty, which had a lot of influence from LuchaLibre and had Lucha stars

If you are interested, there is my LuchaResu dynasty which is not same but may help you.

Have there been any memorable lucha (c-verse - OLLIE or SOTBPW? or real-life - AAA or CMLL) dynasties that I can read? I want to see how people have tried to play it and the stories they have worked through the shows.

There is also a DragonMack dynasty doing MHW http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43681 . And on youtube there is a very long OLLIE one:

September 1st, 1995.

In an alternate universe of american wrestling...

World Championship Wrestling is on war, but not any kind of war. It's on a war against two companies, the long standing World Wrestling Federation, owned by Vince McMahon and the recently up-and-coming Extreme Championship Wrestling, bought a year ago by Rupert Murdoch and currently controlled by his CEO & Figurehead Hulk Hogan. ECW is talking the NWA under it's helm.

Eric Bischoff made several mistakes: First, he promised that he would bring Hogan to WCW. However, it looks like the meeting he arranged during the filming of Thunder in Paradise went to nowhere because of (possibly) Hogan's demands and he ended up meeting with Rupert Murdoch, who offered to get his own wrestling company. Murdoch bought ECW from Tod Gordon, which spelled good news for the Hulkster... and bad news for Paul Heyman (known in that time as Paul E. Dangerously). Heyman wanted to take ECW to "the Extreme" while the Hulkster wanted to aim to a more mainstream audience, after a months of problems, Heyman left with Gordon and took over another promotion: Steel City Wrestling, which turned into an alternative to those who disliked WWF, ECW and of course, WCW. As a consequence and out of fear of losing his job, Bischoff found a choice to replace the Hulkster, it was his rival at Wrestlemania 6, The Warrior, who despite carrying a huge superstar quality, doesn't have the same wrestling qualites that Hogan has.

Second, the other mistake he made, firing Steve Austin. He was promised a shot at the WCW U.S. Heavyweight Title, however, he was communicated that he was fired, via FedEx. Bischoff wasted a big talent that could bring he and his company the money.

And here is where i do enter. I, as a member of the legendary Von Erich dynasty, i promise that i'll let Ted Turner know that i can help WCW to kill down WWF and put ECW on it's place. So, i'll be calling to Ted Turner and give me the chance to take the helm and put WCW on the right track. Jim Herd and Kip Allen Frey have already damaged the honour of that company, Bill Watts and Rhodes were too stuck in the territorial system.

It's time for the Modern Day Warrior to turn WCW into the wrestling superpower that aims to be...

OOC: Title of the dynasty has to be decided yet <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Also, the mod is Hulkamania Extreme Edition II.

Decided to get a diary together. All the wrestlers featured will be created using RtG rules. The premise is that Peter Valentine trains a stable of wrestlers and they are understandably not well trained.
