<p>Just discovered great chemistry between Shane Douglas and Steven Regal in my 91 Rising Storms game so I’m planning on making them a regular team at some point in 92.</p><p> </p><p>

Douglas, currently managed by The Genius and going by the name of “The Scholar” Shane Douglas, is running a gimmick where is a thinking man’s wrestler who uses his mind, and underhanded tactics, to beat his opponents.</p><p> </p><p>

Regal, managed by Lord Alfred Hayes, is my current King of the Ring and is pretty much doing his blue blood bit that got him over in WCW.</p><p> </p><p>

I want something that fits their respective gimmicks and the best I’ve come up with is The Society or the League of Gentlemen.</p><p> </p><p>

Seeing as how there is no harm in picking other people’s brains for ideas I figured it couldn’t hurt ot ask if anyone had something better?</p><p> </p><p>

Maybe with Lord Alfred Hayes as manager or "docent" or some such thing like that. Two guys by themselves isn't much of a society or league.</p><p> </p><p> As just a team by themselves, I'd be wanting to associate Regal and Douglas in some form or another with the ivory tower. Be as the team name, their team finisher or maybe both. The nerdy Alexandra York persona she was using at the time could also be a great fit with this team. Except maybe instead of the business suit, she's in formal ball gowns and going by a punny name like Ivy Halls or Hollis.</p>

Think: Scott Boras or Drew Rosenhaus (or perhaps, most famously, Jerry Maguire). The group is fronted by a couple of veteran lucha managers with a good mix of veteran and younger talent. But there are rumors and suspicions about who the real person in charge is (Spoiler: It's Miss Mexico).<p> </p><p> Anyway, they're feuding with Emma Chase's agency (also heels) and Ronin 3 (again, heels). Eventually the babyfaces will mob up and we'll have turf wars develop over the various titles. I went with the Ivory Tower Elitists, really looking forward to getting these two together and pushing them into a feud with the Steiner Brothers for the Tag Titles.

 

I'll have to keep York in mind should anything happen to Hayes or the Genius as well, for the time being though I don't want to split up the managerial pairings due to the chemistry bonus on both sides.

Baker (named for the actor who played the sheriff in the original Walking Tall movie that the Rock did the remake of.) seems to fit for me. </p><p> </p><p> Not sure where your promotion is, but you specifically mention he's an American, so playing a Tennessee sheriff seems to play to the cheap seats there. He can come out with a 2x4 slung over his shoulder and smash people in the face with it. Etc.</p>

Looking for a tag team name for Quentin Queen & Gidayu Katou. Quentin is using a Blue Chipper gimmick and Katou is using a Legitimate Athlete gimmick, and both are heels. Right now, they're in the lower card, not quite jobbers but close because there are so many other guys and they just started teaming, but I'm hoping for them to be together long-term and both can work as both face and heel so it doesn't need to be a heel tag name.

Playing up the story where Huntingdon becomes increasingly desperate for the NA Championship that he eventually "breaks" and starts a crazed high society gimmick.</p><p> </p><p>

Thought about names like Sin or The Deadly Sinners, but I'm not really sold on either name. So anything dark/spooky works.</p>

But one thing I've wanted for years to do with Squeeky is an Orwellian, 1984-style Ministry of Love stable. An aristocratic elitist like Huntingdon would certainly fit as leader. But I don't know about Greed. It's been a while since I read the book. I envision more a heelish Rick Law in that framework than Greed.</p>

Or if you want to be less cliche', maybe she could be an Anna Chapman type. So you could cast someone more Westernized but still treacherous. And together they learn Halme's not just talk and team up with him. <p>So I picked up The Force after a USPW fire sale and he has excellent tag chemistry with Ranger. Right now Ranger is using a Bad Ass gimmick and The Force is using the default Power and Paint gimmick. </p><p> </p><p>

Not really a tag team but I'm scratching my head trying to figure out a good ring name for Cody Hall. I guess if I had to I could go with that, but was hoping for his name to pay homage to Scott and his "adoptive uncles" Sean Waltman and Kevin Nash..
