Bob Backlund vs. Alundra Blayze, Candi Devine, Jacqueline and Reggie Bennett

This was *not* a good match, which Backlund would like blame on the quality of his opponents. While Bennett was able to more or less match Backlund's physical advantage, the speed, agility and cleverness of the smaller women proved to be a match for the former world champion. Humiliation was close for Backlund as Blayze held him tightly in a Crossface Chickenwing, his own signature move - when suddenly Luna Vachon rushed to ringside and took out unsuspecting Bennet, Jacqueline and Devine with chair shots! Blayze released her hold on Backlund to charge at Vachon, who had climbed the ropes, successfully knocking her down to ringside. Unfortunately, Backlund was able to take advantage of the situation as he rolled Blayze up, using the ropes for leverage without the ref noticing, scoring a pinfall victory. The women's division is no more!

Diamond Dallas Page (w/Kimberly) vs. Buddy Landel (w/Jim Cornette and Jeff Jarrett)

Before the bell rang, Landel made a show out of kissing a picture of Kimberly before handing it to Cornette for safe keeping, prompting DDP to jump him and start the match. DDP got the early advantage by punching Landel repeatedly but accidentally hit his knee against a turnbuckle while running at Landel. Landel applied a Figure-Four Leglock to apply pressure to DDP's knee. DDP escaped the hold and threw Landel against a ring post; he capitalized on this advantage by attacking Landel's back. DDP threw Landel with a Diamond Clash and applied a sleepr hold. Landel escaped the hold by biting DDP. He threw DDP out of the ring and performed a Russian legsweep followed by an elbow drop. Landel applied the Figure-Four, but DDP grabbed the ropes, which forced the referee to instruct Landel to break the hold. Landel threw DDP with a belly-to-back suplex, but DDP responded by attempting to perform the Diamond Cutter, his new signature move. Landel reversed this into an unsuccessful pin attempt. Shortly after, DDP managed to connect with a Diamond Cutter first on Landel and then on Jeff Jarrett, who attempted to interfer. Jim Cornette however managed to distract DDP long enough for Landel to apply the Figure-Four and win the match by forcing DDP to submit.

Lord Alfred Hayes interviews "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase. He says that his men were unlucky to come out of the match earlier tonight empty-handed but assures Hayes that it won't happen in the match later tonight between Bam Bam Bigelow and The Undertaker. Houston Heat (w/Sunny) vs. The Steiner Brothers

Scott gained the early advantage over Booker T, both men quickly tagged in their partners. Rick performed a body slam on Stevie Ray and then tagged Scott back in, who threw Stevie Ray with a belly to belly suplex. Houston Heat regained the advantage and took turns attacking Scott's back. Stevie Ray performed a Boston crab hold to put more pressure on Scott's back and attempt to force him to submit. Scott escaped the hold and threw Stevie Ray to the mat by performing a Tiger driver. The Steiners capitalized on their advantage by keeping Stevie Ray in the ring and unable to tag his partner. Bam Bam Bigelow (w/Ted DiBiase) vs. The Undertaker (w/Paul Bearer)

Both men tried to use their size and power to control the match. Bigelow used a reverse chinlock to wear The Undertaker down and attacked him outside the ring. The Undertaker regained control of the match and knocked Bigelow onto his knees. He then jumped off the top rope and hit Bigelow after which he performed several clothesline attacks on Bigelow. Bigelow responded with a clothesline that knocked The Undertaker out of the ring. When The Undertaker got back into the ring, Bigelow kicked him in the back of the head and then performed a headbutt from the top rope. Bigelow was unable to pin him, however. DiBiase called Volkoff to ringside. Volkoff threatened Paul Bearer to distract The Undertaker, allowing Bigelow to assault him. Bigelow picked The Undertaker up and powerslammed him to the mat. Bigelow performed several headbutts on The Undertaker before executing a moonsault flip to knock him down to the mat. The Undertaker was relatively unharmed, however, and performed a powerslam and a clothesline on Bigelow. Ted DiBiase threw Bigelow a pair of brassknucles, but the referee managed to apprehend them and prevent Bigelow from using them at the threat of disqualification. Few moments later, a mysterious face-panted man entered the ring and immediately jumped The Undertaker with some kind of inverted STF. The ref took notice and awarded the match to The Undertaker as a result, struggling to get his mysterious man off The Undertaker.

Bret Hart and Mr. Perfect vs. Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart

Neidhart and Perfect began the match, but Owen entered after Perfect insulted him. Perfect threw Owen into the corner, and Owen's momentum carried him over the top rope to the ring apron. Bret attacked Owen and then took Perfect's place in the ring to maintain the advantage over Owen. From outside the ring, Neidhart hit Bret with his knee and Owen and Neidhart took turns attacking Bret's knee. While Neidhart performed a half Boston crab on Bret, Owen took out Perfect from behind. Bret recovered briefly by trying to pin Owen, but Neidhart performed a chokeslam on Bret. Owen attempted to attack Bret from the top rope, but Bret threw him to the ring floor instead. Perfect executed a neckbreaker and an atomic drop on Neidhart. Outside of the ring, Owen attacked Bret with a chair. The referee was knocked unconscious, and Perfect tried to pin Neidhart by performing a PerfectPlex. Because no referee was available to count the pinfall, a substitute referee came to the ring. The first referee recovered as Perfect attempted to pin Owen with a PerfectPlex. Owen escaped the pin attempt but headed straight into a Diving Pointed Elbow Drop from the second rope by Bret, after which Perfect hit another PerfectPlex on Neidhart, whom Owen managed to tag in. This time, the referee was able to count the 1-2-3. Victory for Bret and Perfect!

Backstage, "The Heartbreak Kid" is talking to Diesel about his upcoming title match against Randy Savage. Diesel, clearly still somewhat upset over HBK causing him to lose the title that his partner in crime is now trying to win, proclaims that Shawn is on his own tonight. In spite of Shawn's objections, Diesel keeps refusing to be at ringside and delivers a snarky remark about him not being there would probably be for the best, as Shawn then would not be confused as to whom he should kick in the face this time. Shawn looks somewhat distraught, as he had clearly expected backup from "Big Daddy Cool" tonight.

Savage applied a Sleeper Hold but Michaels grabbed the bottom rope, causing Savage to break the hold. Savage attempted a Sleeper Hold again, but Michaels countered it. I already read through the show, but I figured that for Hive, I'd go back through and give some thoughts on all the things.

I guess we really should have seen Shawn in the main event coming given the show took place in San Antonio.

Kinda surprised to see the Gunns take this one. They are definitely the blandest of the three teams. As I said in my predictions, Demolition just feel out of place to me, like a relic of the past that wouldn't translate into this "new generation". I have to wonder where the Headshrinkers even go from here. They lost the Tag belts and just haven't had anything of note since. A heel turn would maybe spice them up? Unless they already turned and I don't remember it

This has nothing to do with the match itself but I really like your 1-2-3 Kid picture. As the match goes, the right team won; Kid and Rey could make a great underdogs team and eventual feud.

I don't blame you for scrapping the Women's division. It's just tough to find a place for, and once you get beyond Blayze and Nakano tearing the house down against one another, there just doesn't feel like a lot of room for it. Hopefully any of them who you are planning to keep around can find a good place in either occasional matches or as managers.

I figured that Lex and Jake are just too much star power for the M$C to beat at this point. Maybe if it were Tatanka and Bigelow, but IRS is not going to be picking up big wins like this at this stage. Right people went over here.

You and that damn Buddy Landel push :p

Steiners vs. Heat is always a quality match, and it went over just as well here.

I'm glad to see you were able to nab a B rated match out of Dean vs. Eddy. I don't know if the casual fans of the mid-90s WWF would have flocked to those two, but if it works out for you, then push them as far as you can.

Awesome A* rating for the Harts, even if your Bret pic looks a little bit English. I read "You were my brother Owen, I loved you" in Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan voice. Not a bad thing.

Not surprised to see Undertaker pick up the win, but I am surprised to see who attacked him! That should be a great match of conflicting mysticism, so I look forward to your build up for it.

Another non-surprise to me that Bret and Perfect picked up the win. That is definitely a team to beat, they work well with one another and have the mutual respect/could turn on one another at any moment angles running at the same time. Too bad I didn't give Curt a dose of what you did to heal his poor back for my game :p

Fun little promo from Shawn and Diesel there. DAT SNARK

Yeah, I didn't figure that was going to last very long. Shawn picks up the belt so he can have a little run with it, but I don't imagine he'll have Diesel at his back for a whole lot longer.

All in all, hells yeah. Nice little In Your House show.

really good show...better than that in your house tat, that that other lot showed

Question, when you plan these shows am I right in thinking you look at your roster and pick the guys that are over in japan and simply match them with a bigger names in Japan? im still getting to grips with TEW and love the ideas you guys showcase for events etc and trying to figure out how best to do something similar in my game

- Randy Savage has indeed left WWF, this is no storyline. There are many rumors floating around as to why or how this came to be, but nothing substantial as of yet.

- Alex Wright reportedly called WWF management to offer his services as his contract with WCW expired this week, but was rejected. The top brass at WWF sees Wright as a decent worker but did not feel he was worth the money when comparing him to the top cruiserweights they already have employed. Wright will likely have to settle for a renewed contract at WCW instead.

- WWF is suing WCW over their use of Scott Hall for trademark and dress infringement, claiming that WCW has used a character developed and copyrighted by the WWF. While not using the copyrighted Razor Ramon name, Hall has been using the mannerisms, accent and appearance developed in WWF since debuting in WCW.

- WWF has When Worlds Collide in Mexico this Saturday, an event that will feature top WWF talent going head-to-head and shoulder-by-shoulder with the biggest names in Mexico. The event will be held in cooperation with CMLL.

- Buddy Landel seems to have a bright future in WWF ahead of him, with many - including Vince McMahon himself - taking a strong liking to him. With the skies being the limit for Landel, where will it lead to? Royal Rumble victory? King of The Ring victory? Or perhaps a title win before any if that? Only time will tell.
