It was a mistake putting it on first though as the crowd was dead right until the Ali/Law segment. </p><p> Positives is that Casey and James have excellent tag chemistry. I’ve not yet done much at all to meet my goal of improving the tag division, so this is definitely a possibility. I’m enjoying their feud though so it might not be for a while, James is also on time decline but he could pass on some skills before it’s too late. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> It's the final American Wrestling before the PPV and as this is held on the same day it becomes a sort of pre show. This was supposed to be The Titans! My notes has it has the titans, and it IS the Titans who come and have the ppv match. For some reason when I wrote the show I used Natural Storm instead. But you're fully right that they aren't ready to end this yet! </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> So as you can see I took the advice of you guys and I'm leaving some time i n between the pre show and Red, White & Blue. So there is still time to predict on that part. On a side note I've finished editing the skin so from April onwards in game my shows have this new skin. I’m currently a couple of months ahead with my writing, which is nice because I go on holiday in a week so it means I can take a break but still post often. The plan was to always stay a few months ahead of what I post. But I don’t like feeling the disconnect between the two, like it feels ages since I wrote this show so it’s hard to talk about what I was thinking/why I booked certain things/etc. I have written notes down for most shows, but the idea of the diary is to focus a lot on the game-side of things and I think it might be easier to do that with just a show or two delay. Not that any of this affects you all really! </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Thoughts:</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p> <strong>Julius Moor and Ross Henry defeated The Titans</strong></p><p> </p><p> The match that everybody got wrong I think was The Titans. I’m not surprised I did try to make them look strong going into it, and Tyson Baine is still considered a main eventer. But I needed it to be a big statement for Ross Henry to come and get the win. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Andre Jones defeated Clark Alexander for the Texas Title</strong></p><p> </p><p> I was a little torn with this, because in some ways I’d wished the Texas title was more hyped, perhaps in years to come when LSW is bigger, it will be. But right now it’s a C-list title. So it was mostly used a prop here to give Andre a way to one up Joss. Just to confirm, it’s an alliance title that is defended between USPW and LSW. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rick Law defeated Ali</strong></p><p> </p><p> Some might be surprised to see Ali lose again, but his involvement was always limited to giving Law something to do whilst Trent heals up. It was a good test for him though and he might get a proper call up sooner than planned. This actually gave the main event a run for it’s money for match of the night.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Raven Robinson defeated Melody</strong></p><p> </p><p> This was all about completing the Raven heel turn, with Alicia back soon, Melody will be taking a step back so she can take her time regaining any momentum. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Team Caulfield defeated Team Money</strong></p><p> </p><p> So I knew I wanted to tease the idea of a turn and Money offering the bounty amped that up. A key thing going forward is that USPW has this group of heroes who fight for good. Together, the likes of Champion/Enygma/Caulfield/Law etc are all about sticking to their principles. So over the next months/year they will all be tested and will all react differently to pressure. It’s sort of inevitable that at least one will crack and sell themselves out, but the question is who and why?</p><p> </p><p> Most got Enygma as the ???, Brandon James was a good shout though as I have posted that I’d like to poach him. Enygma got the final pin so wins the title shot. I didn’t really want Khoklov to get pinned but my thinking is Enygma needs building up if it’s to be believable that he can beat Frehley, letting him pin Khoklov on his USPW debut is a way of me showing Enygma definitely could beat Frehley. Also I don’t see a tag loss as the same as Khoklov losing one on one. </p><p> </p><p> So next is Liberty & Justice, hope you all enjoy the ride to it. So you can decide his new USPW name, can be anything at all. Not sure if I just got a good destiny roll for him but he's the top of my 'next big thing' category in the creative meeting.</p><p> </p><p> Well, I AM AVATAR is going to be a side thing for this diary that lets the readers decide everything about Jack and how his career is going to go. Rather than it being obvious what each choice will lead to I'm hoping to make it so you all pick what you want his decisions to be, but then outside things might affect that. I'll flip a coin, if it's heads he will make friends with him through training and this will help him debut as part of a Champion storyline which would be a huge bonus. But if it's tails Nicky would turn him down due to being too busy and he would end up training either by himself or someone really awful and it could make it harder for him to debut, perhaps he is sent to LSW instead, something like that. </p><p> </p><p> However as a rule, if I don't hint that something bad could happen, it won't. One of my initial ideas for Jack before this was for him to become Enygma II, but my thinking is with you all picking it, he doesn't NEED that famous a mask, whereas I can sign a promising nobody and immediately make him matter more by making him Enygma II. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em> But I do like the idea (which I think was yours) of him being the son of Captain USA, lets me keep Enygma II for someone else and Cpt. USA is great for a potential future figurehead.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em> Before it goes any further I'll just add that in general, I AM AVATAR is going to be kept in kayfabe. It might not be an important distinction at this point, but I think it will make it very different. For example when you are picking who he should befriend/fight with/etc this is what his character will do in storylines not backstage. I contemplated doing it the opposite but i think that only works if I use the in game editor to make relationships and things like that which I don't really like the idea of. Also you picking what he does in kayfabe will directly affect the shows whereas backstage might take years to actually be interesting. Hopefully I can still keep a lot of important in game decisions kayfabe based for example him deciding whether or not to bulk up is also him deciding what will help him more in the ring, stamina or power, and things like that.</em></p> Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
