OOC: So, the show is 99.9% written and should be up sometime in the next few days. In the mean time I've been thinking ahead to the next PPV which is King of the Ring. I really want to focus on the KotR tournament for this one (I've always been a bit of a mark for a good tournament) and with qualifying rounds on the weeks leading up to the event, this may well begin life as a 32 man tournament.....with that said, I'm not overly concerned with the WWF Title main eventing the show.....therefore I'm not overly concerned with a main eventer challenging for the title.....so that's where you come in......choose the next challenger for the WWF Championship.

Pick three guys and whoever gets the most nominations, that's the Champions next challenger....but be aware that whoever gets the title shot, will not be entered into the King of the Ring tournament....feel free to be as obscure as you like, if they've been on the roster I'm open to anyone.....I had Jerry Lawler main event a Pay Per View so I'm willing to try anything lol

Vince McMahon welcomes is to the event, before thanking the viewers for inviting the WWF "in your house." He introduces his co-hosts, Jerry "The King" Lawler and Jim Ross and then the three men run down tonight's show, before telling us that we are starting off both a bang and with the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship on the line, as Sean Waltman defends his newly won gold, against the challenge of Jerry Lynn.</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Light_zpsgy19pebw.jpg</span></p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/WaltmanKliq_zpsplkqbets.jpg</span> VS. <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Lynn_zpsh2mc53xp.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Jerry Lynn makes his way out first, be gets a reaction, all be it a rather muted one, hopefully by the end of this match the crowd will see what a good performance the Challenger can put on.....and if he's going to have a breakout match with anyone, it's going to the the reigning WWF Light Heavyweight Champion, Sean Waltman. Waltman is surprisingly out on his own for this one, not a KLiQ member in sight....it doesn't make him any less cocky though. The two men lock up and again we are told of how well these opponents know each other, with Jim Ross recounting their many battles all over the world.</p><p> </p><p> The pair perform a nice luchador-esq opening spot, impressing the crowd with a smooth series of movies that culminates with both men kipping back to their feet. They pause for a moment before deciding to just start throwing fists at each other. Lynn gets the upper hand in that so Waltman shifts gears and begins to utilise his martial arts kicks, but gets caught again with a dragon screw leg whip. Annoyed, Waltman charges at his opponent, but a series of arm drags followed up with a high belly to belly suplex puts a stop to that. Lynn waits for Waltman to begin to climb to his feet and tries for a springboard dropkick, but Waltman drops back to the mat out of harms way and Lynn crashes hard.</p><p> </p><p> Waltman takes control of the match and the swagger is back in his step as he works over his opponent. He unleashes a series of kicks, chops and palm thrusts, then whips Lynn off the ropes and lands a spinning heel kick. With his opponent still down the Champion lands a springboard leg drop. Waltman walks around the ring giving Lynn little arrogant kicks, designed to embarrass more than hurt....much like the next move he unleashes.....he whips Lynn hard into the corner and charges with a corner clothesline. Lynn slumps to the mat in a seated position, leaning against the bottom and middle turnbuckle. Waltman backs up, runs towards his opponent and leaps, straddling Lynn and bouncing up and down on his chest, Lawler remarks that he's riding Jerry Lynn like a bronco.</p><p> </p><p> Believing he is firmly in control Waltman whips Lynn into the ropes, dropping his head for the backdrop....but in a last ditch effort, Jerry gets a grip of the Champion by the waist, hoists him up and hits a running sitout Powerbomb that would have given him the victory, had Waltman not been close enough to the ropes to force a break. Lynn slowly pulls himself to his feet and ducks a Waltman clothesline attempt, spinning behind his opponent and catching him with a big German Suplex, holding on with the bridge for another near fall. Feeling that victory could soon be his, Lynn ups his game in an effort to claim the Light Heavyweight Championship and his moves become more high risk in an effort to find the one that will be enough to put Waltman away. He hits a tornado DDT, but again the Champion has a foot close enough to the ropes that he is able to save himself. Slapping the mat in frustration, Lynn drags Waltman back away from the ropes and then climbs the turnbuckles. He perches on the top rope for a moment before coming off with a big, big splash.......hitting nothing but mat, because Waltman had rolled away at the last minute. The Challenge pulls himself to his feet, clearly winded....but he gets a kick to the midsection for his trouble, followed by that sitout facebuster that Waltman recently debuted....and three seconds later, this one is over.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> .....and STILL WWF Light Heavyweight Champion........Sean Waltman</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p></div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><div></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/WaltmanKliq_zpsplkqbets.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Lynn_zpsh2mc53xp.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> The official raises Waltman's arm in victory before handing him his Light Heavyweight Championship. Both the arm and the title belt are snatched away by the arrogant Champion. Slowly Lynn climbs to his feet with a look of disappointment on his face. He stands with his hands on his hips for a moment, before finally out stretching his right arm, congratulating Waltman on a (surprisingly) clean victory. The former 123 Kid drapes his gold belt over his shoulder, looking down at Lynn's outstretched hand, before batting the hand away and indicating to his crotch with a chopping motion, loudly telling Lynn to "Suck it" before abruptly turning and walking to the back.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Hendrix_zpsw5xcdjjf.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Bart_zpsdtdpqvgl.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Mr%20Perfect_zpssbms1vgf.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Billy_zpslofea0ch.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Following that display of unsportsmanlike behaviour, we head to the back where Dok Hendrix is standing by with the Smoking Gunns and....."I suppose their manager for the evening, Mr. Perfect"....Perfect shakes his head and responds.</p><p> </p><p> "Woah, woah woah, hold it right there Hendrix, first of all you take that condescending tone out of your voice when you say my name before I slap the taste out of your mouth....and second of all, I'm not a "manager"....any old schlub can get a managers licence. Mr. Perfect is an Executive Consultant.....I look at people's strengths and their weaknesses and then best strategise a victory from there.....Executive Consultants don't "manage", we guide.....guide people to championships....and that's exactly what I'm going to do.....step one, tonight, we take out the trash....step two, we take home the gold....and that will be, Absolutely Perfect."</p><p> </p><p> He slaps Bart on the back as the Gunns speak. They both echo each other's sentiments, saying that tonight they will finally put the Texas Long Riders out to pasture, although Billy is clearly the happier of the pair to have the Executive Consultant in their corner. He says that tonight, under the direction of Mr. Perfect, nothing is going to stop them from taking home the win......"the right way" Bart finishes, just as the Gunns music starts to play and the trio make their way out to the ring.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Billy_zpslofea0ch.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Bart_zpsdtdpqvgl.jpg</span> VS. <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Bradshaw_zpsyeklbtgo.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Windham_zpsckvmqtgx.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> It's time for tag team action now, as the Smoking Gunns go up against a duo that they know very well by now, the Texas Long Riders. This will be the third time that these two teams have faced off on Pay Per View this year, with each team picking up a victory, meaning that this will surely be the rubber match. Both teams will be looking for the victory that will potentially propel them to the top contender spot in what has become a very competitive tag team division.</p><p> </p><p> The Long Riders complain to the official about Perfects presence at ringside, but Perfect tells them to concentrate on the match, he's only out there to advise, it's Billy and Bart that they need to worry about. The Texans should have taken Perfects advice too, because the second the bell rings, the Gunns charge, taking Windham and Bradshaw by surprise for the early advantage. Billy and Bart haven't actually wrestled as a team in some weeks now, with Billy preferring to go it alone up until now....but you wouldn't know it because they haven't missed a step so far in this one....in fact, they seem better than ever, which Lawler atones to the advice of Mr. Perfect at ringside. Despite what the former Intercontinental Champion will tell you however, no one can wrestle a perfect match against competitors like Windham and Bradshaw, and eventually the Long Riders are able to isolate Bart and take control of the match.</p><p> </p><p> The Texans show us why they are a team to be reckoned with here in the WWF at the expense of poor Bart, who is double teamed mercilessly at times, because being the veteran that he is, Windham always ensures that he and his young protege utilise every second of that five count....but not a second too long, because they don't want to risk disqualification here tonight. Billy is clearly getting frustrated on the apron, but Perfect calms him down, telling him that the time will come, he just needs to be patient and trust in the ability of his partner.....although to be fair to Billy, Bart does look in an awful lot of trouble, especially after a huge big boot from Bradshaw spins him around 180 degrees, and straight into a running bulldog from Windham. Barry makes the cover and may have even picked up the win had Billy not made the save for his team. </p><p> </p><p> Bradshaw tags into the match and unleashes pure brute force punishment on the former Tag Champion. He whips Bart hard into the turnbuckles, where he lays in a series of stuff punches, before taking hold of his opponent again and whipping him even harder into the opposite corner. Gunn hits these turnbuckles to hard that he staggers back to the centre of the ring, where Bradshaw is waiting for him with a hard spinning Powerslam. Again that could have been a potential match ender, but again Billy breaks up the pinfall attempt, much to his frustration. Bradshaw takes a few steps back and motions for Bart to get back to his feet, rotating his arm a few times, clearly warming it up for that big Lariat of his. Gunn finally gets himself back to a standing position and Bradshaw runs towards the ropes, looking for some momentum before delivering the killer blow....that's when Perfect shows exactly what an "executive consultant" does.....as he trips the running Texan over as he hits the ropes, giving Bart the chance to finally make the tag out to his waiting partner.</p><p> </p><p> Billy comes tearing into the action, clearly not happy about being stuck on the sidelines for so long. He lays into Bradshaw with quick jabs that rock the big Texan, before ducking an attack from the oncoming Windham, pulling the top rope down as he goes, which sends Barry tumbling to the outside. Bradshaw comes next, but again Gunn avoids the attack, this time delivering a picture perfect dropkick that sends the second Long Rider over the top rope and down to the floor alongside his partner. Bart rolls the legal man back into the ring, before noticing that Perfect is laying the boots to Windham out of the officials line of sight. He goes over and pulls the consultant away from the downed Texan, telling him that "we don't need to take cheap shots to win." The official has now taken an interest in this exchange....and while he didn't actually see Perfect attacking Windham, he begins to reprimand him non the less....which draws his attention away from what's happening in the ring....</p><p> </p><p> ....where Billy Gunn has seized the opportunity to procure a steel chair from ringside, clearly more than happy to use the distraction by Perfect to bend the rules. He gets ready to swing the steel.....but Bart is there like a shot. He tells Billy that they discussed this, they don't need to resort to these tactics to win. Billy isn't listening though and again reads himself to swing the steel....this time however Bart puts himself between Billy and Bradshaw, telling him to put the chair down and they can finish this fairly, with the Sidewinder. Billy is clearly annoyed, but looks like he's listening to reason as he lowers the weapon....but only for a second, because quick as a flash Billy swings the steel and connects with a loud smash.......</p><p> </p><p> ......straight over the head of his own partner. Bart goes down like he's just been shot, collapsing in a heap as Billy just stares down at him, before tossing the chair to the mat and exiting the ring, where a waiting Mr. Perfect is laughing. He pats Billy on the back and the two men stand back, watching from the aisle way, leaving Bart as the Lone Gunn and in a lot of trouble. Windham is back into the ring and he drags the prone Bart back to his feet, holding him while his Partner delivers a (frankly uneccessary) huge Lariat to the barely conscious Gunn. He makes the cover and mercifully for Bart, this one is over.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner(s):</strong> The Texas Long Riders</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Mr%20Perfect_zpssbms1vgf.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Billy_zpslofea0ch.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Bart_zpsdtdpqvgl.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> The Long Riders briefly celebrate their victory, before leaving and heading to the back as Billy Gunn and Mr. Perfect re-enter the ring. Perfect squats down beside Bart, who's clearly in a lot of pain. He tells him that tonight, this was never about Bart Gunn.....it was never about the Smoking Gunns....it was ALWAYS about one thing and one thing only....and that was shedding the dead weight, and getting Billy Gunn to where he needs to be.....right at the top....and under my Perfect guidance, that's exactly where he's going to go.</p><p> </p><p> Bart fights to his hands and knees and swings a punch at Perfect, who simply dodges it laughing, before Billy Gunn continues what he started earlier....and that's beating the holy hell out of his (we assume) now former partner. While Billy lays into Bart, Perfect slides to the outside, collecting the steel chair from earlier. Back in the ring, he tells Billy to back off for a moment, picking Bart up, opening the chair and sliding it over the Cowboys head. Perfect turns to Billy, telling him to "finish it.....finish him.....and finish this team for good." Billy has the decency at least to hesitate.....but not for long.....as he kicks Bart in the gut, doubling him over and leaping high in the air, bringing his leg down over the back of Bart's neck, driving him face and chair first into the mat with a Rocker Dropper manoeuvre. </p><p> </p><p> Jim Ross on commentary screams that he's just broken his damn partner in half.....before Lawler informs us that he thinks he heard Bart's neck snap like a twig. Bart himself is prone and not moving at all on the canvas. Billy and Perfect stand over his fallen body for a moment, before medical personnel rush the ring, finally ushering the pair away from Bart, as an advert for the King of the Ring is played for the viewers at home.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Hendrix_zpsw5xcdjjf.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/DeMott_zpsdwqgxgv4.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Snow_zpssgob09uo.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Following that horrendous display we head to the back, where Dok He drop is standing by with the.....Unique....Al Snow, and his shrink, Dr. Simon Coe. Hendrix talks for a moment about the condition of Bart Gunn, telling us that he is currently being transferred to a local medical facility and we hope to have an update on his condition soon. The good Doctor passes Hendrix one of his cards, telling him to pass it on, should Bart feel he needs anybody to talk to after that horrible betrayal. Hendrix takes the card, but he screws it up and tosses it over his shoulder when Coe turns his attention to Al Snow.</p><p> </p><p> Hendrix asks Snow if he is ready to face the man who betrayed him to join with the KLiQ, Justin Credible. Al looks at his Doctor, before shrugging his shoulders. Dr. Coe tells Hendrix that he has instructed Snow not to talk, in an effort to negate the voices that he hears by simply refusing to acknowledging them. He speaks for Al, saying that if Snow can keep his head in the game....and keep himself out of his own head, then he has an excellent chance at coming out on top......but just to be sure that he follows his Doctors orders to the tee, Simon is going to accompany Snow to the ring, where he can watch the action unfold from the commentary table.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Snow_zpssgob09uo.jpg</span> VS. <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Crediblekliq_zps2cagnrfx.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Dr. Coe does indeed accompany Al to the ring for this one, the camera picks up him telling Snow that he can do this, "concentrate on your opponent, not Avatar....remember, no talking"....before pulling up a chair beside Jerry Lawler. Credible is accompanied to the ring as well, he has the reigning WWF Light Heavyweight Champion, Sean Waltman with him. </p><p> </p><p> The bell sounds and the two man come face to face, where Credible attempts to begin a war of words, but keeping to his Doctors advice, Al instead begins a war of fists....by punching Justin square in the jaw. He pounces on Credible and the youngster is shocked, not only by the ferociousness of the attack, but the fact that Al is so focused too. Jim Ross remarks that with Al's "strange" behaviour as of recently, people may have forgotten what a fundamentally good wrestler Al Snow is, but he's showing the world what he can do tonight, when he's not being distracted by his own subconscious.</p><p> </p><p> Snow is doing so well in fact, that Waltman feels the need to interject himself into the match, in an effort to turn the tide....and while he does end up getting dropkicked off the apron, it does have the desired effect, because Credible is able to nail Snow with a big running knee to the back. Finally in control, Justin begins taunting his opponent, laying in stiff kicks while asking Snow...."why so quiet freak? Are the voices taking a day off? Let's see if I can wake them up".....before mounting Al and punching him repeatedly in the side of the head. While Credible isn't the worker that Snow is, he can certainly brawl a good game, especially when he has Al on the outside, where he can use both his environment....and stablemate.....to his advantage. </p><p> </p><p> Unfortunately it is also to his disadvantage, because when attempting to Irish whip Snow into the steel post, Al reverses the move, pulling Credible back towards him, where he delivers a big high collar T-Bone suplex on the floor. Al doesn't immediately capitalise on Credible's pain though, stopping for a moment and clamping his hands over his ears and mouthing something inaudible to himself. He rolls his opponent back into the ring, where he delivers a wheelbarrow suplex, sitout spinebuster and a springboard moonsault for a very near fall. Snow is covering his ears, more and more often however as the match goes on....and the inaudible mouthing has become a definite whisper of "shut up, shut up, shut up" Dr. Coe jumps up from the commentary table and moves over to the side of the ring, shouting at Al to remember what he told him.....remember to......but he doesn't get to finish that thought, because Waltman is over and he nails the Doctor with a spinning heel kick, right to the temple. </p><p> </p><p> Just as Dr. Coe hits the floor, Al finally snaps, letting out a loud scream, before going off on a now very audible tirade against the voices only he can hear....clearly, holding them in was too much for him to handle. Credible recovers enough that he is able to stand back and observe the insanity at a safe distance, while biding his time, waiting for the perfect opportunity.....and just as Snow turns around, Justin plants him with a spinning implant DDT, which is enough for the three count.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Justin Credible</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/DeMott_zpsdwqgxgv4.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Snow_zpssgob09uo.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/WaltmanKliq_zpsplkqbets.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Crediblekliq_zps2cagnrfx.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Waltman joins Credible in the ring, and the two men stand over Snow celebrating....but the celebration is short lived, because Dr. Coe is in the ring behind them. He waits for the two KLiQ members to turn around.....before running straight through them with a big double clothesline. Apparently happy enough to have gained the victory, Waltman and Credible choose to beat a hasty retreat to the back, leaving Coe to tend to Al in the ring. The man who's been calling for a shot at this title for the last five months, Hunter Hearst Helmsley is out first, along with the beautiful Sunny....who, unlike the Nation of Domination, is not barred from ringside for this one. Mero is out next to a decent pop, followed by Ahmed to a more than decent pop, it's clear who the crowd are rooting for this evening. Faarooq makes his entrance last, as the champion should....and it strikes as an odd look to see the Intercontinental Champion walking to the ring alone.</p><p> </p><p> The match gets underway and immediately these four men pair off, with Ahmed and Faarooq continuing their ongoing feud, while Helmsley and Mero pick up where they left off at last months In Your House. The commentators inform us that the rules of this fatal four way are a little different than your average Championship match, because while it's not a street fight per say, due to the one fall to a finish rule, there are no count outs, no disqualifications, there must be a winner either by pinfall or submission......which as Lawler points out, means not only can Faarooq lose his title without even being involved in the finish...but he also loses his champions advantage, because there is absolutely no way that he can intentionally save his title by getting disqualified or counted out.....McMahon questions why that would be a bad thing.</p><p> </p><p> Helmsley and Mero remain in the ring, while Ahmed and Faarooq find themselves battling on the floor....which is probably for the best....Ahmed is a much better brawler than he is a wrestler and for all the aerobatic high spots he can do, sometimes it's more impressive to watch him spinebuster a sumbitch right there on the floor.....which is exactly what he does to Faarooq. Usually when he's on the outside, the Intercontinental Champion has a sea of Nation members to run both offence and distraction for him....but right now it's just him and Ahmed....and its Ahmed all the way. Faarooq even finds himself clotheslined over the safety rail, where Johnson follows him and the two continue their battle in the crowd.</p><p> </p><p> Meanwhile Hunter and Mero are having a much more back and forth....and far less brawl based battle in the ring. Helmsley is still seething over Mero putting an end to his undefeated streak and is attempting to inflict his revenge in the ring. Mero however didn't beat Helmsley by fluke and is showing that right here, putting on another good showing. Lawler remarks on commentary that Ahmed and Faarooq might want to stop fighting in the crowd and get back to the ring, because either one of these two men could pick up the win in their absence and there would be nothing they could do about it.</p><p> </p><p> Hunter backs Mero into the corner and delivers a series of European Uppercuts, before whipping his opponent hard into the opposite turnbuckles, following in with a big corner clothesline. Helmsley indicates that it's all over, as he drags Mero to his feet, looking to position him for the Pedigree....but it's far too close to the ropes and anyone that's ever watched a wrestling match knows what's coming next.....Mero powers himself to a standing position, backdropping Hunter all the way over the top rope.....and onto Ahmed and Faarooq, who have finally arrived back at ringside.</p><p> </p><p> Mero assesses the trio, who are stumbling over each other to get to their feet and decides it's time to fly, taking a running start and propelling himself over the top rope with a 180 degree splash that takes out all three of his opponents. All four men remain on the outside and now it's time for Hunter and Mero to join in on the brawl. Chaos ensues as each man battles the other in an attempt to weaken someone long enough to roll them back into the ring and sneak a pinfall, but when they do finally make it back between the rope, every single pin attempt is broken up. Helmsley and Mero simultaneously send Ahmed and Faarooq to the floor with a clothesline a piece, before turning their attention back to each other. The Intercontinental Champion and Ahmed Johnson wind up battling all the way up the aisle way until they reach the set at the top, a large wooden representation of a House, with KLiQ inspired graffiti sprayed all over it. Faarooq attempts to whip Ahmed into the wall of the house, but Johnson reverses it, and it's the leader of the Nation that hits hard.....not as hard as he's hit a few seconds later though, because while Faarooq is still propped up against the wall of the house set, Ahmed comes running with a full head of steam and spears him straight through the wall, leaving both men down and out.</p><p> </p><p> Back in the ring, and Mero has Helmsley on the ropes. He's hitting him with everything in his arsenal and McMahon says that with Johnson and Faarooq both currently incapacitated, this is the perfect time to pick up the victory. Helmsley tries to connect with a DDT attempt, but Mero slips out and......BANG......nails that quick left jab out of nowhere. Helmsley is down and out and Mero makes the cover.....we have a new Intercontinental Champion!!!!! </p><p> </p><p> Or we would have done, had Helmsley not been so close to the ropes that Sunny was able to reach in and place her clients foot on the bottom rope for him. Mero is frustrated, but he still has one more card to play, as he drags Hunter to the middle of the ring and heads up top. Jim Ross tells us that Mero has been perfecting a Shooting Star Press and should he hit it, that will be all......except he doesn't hit it.........</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/WaltmanKliq_zpsplkqbets.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Crediblekliq_zps2cagnrfx.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> ........because we have company. Justin Credible and Sean Waltman to be more precise.....who come charging down to the ring. Credible clips Mero's legs, causing him to land crotch first on the top turnbuckle, where Waltman climbs up to meet him, delivering a wicked looking superplex. Helmsley drags Mero to his feet.......Pedigree......Pinfall......and this time we really do have a New Intercontinental Champion. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> .....and NEW WWF Intercontinental Champion.....Hunter Hearst Helmsley</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Hunter_zpscdhh4mxd.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Sunny2_zpspvxzuu3d.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/WaltmanKliq_zpsplkqbets.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Crediblekliq_zps2cagnrfx.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Credible collects the intercontinental Championship from the timekeeper, while Waltman hands both Helmsley and Sunny a now familiar looking black and white shirt. The lights go out for the arrival of Kane and Mankind, but only briefly, because as the two men walk out, the fire explodes from the corner posts and that crimson light bathes the arena in red.</p><p> </p><p> This was was never going to be a technical masterclass considering the participants involved....nor did anyone expect it to be....what they expected were three big hosses and one maniac beating the hell out of each other, and that's exactly what they got. Rikishi and Kokina gelled pretty well as a team from the get go, but considering (as the commentary team inform us) that they are actually related, that shouldn't come as a surprise.....Kane and Mankind however were on another level, they worked so well as a team you would think their surnames were Morton and Gibson.....Mankind Morton.....better than Mankind the Mutilator I suppose.....</p><p> </p><p> .....anyway, what that meant, was that despite the low expectations, this was actually a very good tag team contest. The S.o.S started strong, using those hard Islander skulls to rock their opponents, with Kokina even managing to take the Big Red Monster Kane off his feet with a huge belly to belly suplex. Eventually though the deranged duo were able to isolate Rikishi. Mankind spent a lot of time on the floor, punishing Rikishi with his rather unorthodox move set, including that elbow drop from the second rope, all the way down to the floor. Arguably both Mankind and Rikishi could have been counted out but the intimidating stare of Kane was enough to ensure a veryyyyy slow count from the official. </p><p> </p><p> Rikishi was finally able to claw his way over to his corner, tagging in Kokina, who came into the match....well not quite like a house of fire, he's not exactly swift on his feet after all......lets just say that Kokina came into the match. He crushed the life out of Mankind in the corner, before turning his attention back to Kane, who has been somewhat of a thorn in his side since Wrestlemania. He slams the monster down, before delivering a hefty leg drop, but surprisingly (and reminiscent of the Undertaker) Kane sits right back up. Rikishi rejoins the fray and not for the first time this evening we have a multi man brawl, which concludes with Mankind applying the Mandible Claw to Kokina on the outside, as Kane picks up Rikishi, delivering a huge Tombstone Piledriver, which was enough for the one, two, three.....a good showing from the Sons of Samoa, but ultimately an unsuccessful one.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner(s):</strong> Kane & Mankind</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Cornette_zpsotngxvu5.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Kane_zps4ckfviic.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Mankind_zps1wlg1gdh.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Jim Cornette is in the ring quick as a flash, microphone in hand, always happy to hear his own voice. Dok begins by asking Brian how he is feeling after this vicious attack at the hands of the KLiQ on Raw. Pillman says that he's battered....he's bruised.....he's beat up.....but he's still here.......he's still here, because tonight, he will finally get to witness two things.....the first, will be happening in a few minutes, when Bret "The Hitman" Hart walks down to that ring and shows Steve Austin, that when it comes to straight wrestling, this man here is the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.....and that's all I need Austin to know Dok, that's all I need.....for Steve to finally realise, that he is never going to be "the man" as long as he keeps up this charade....as long as he keeps playing this character.....he's no longer the Ringmaster by name, we freed him of that, me and Piper.....now I just have to make him believe.....believe that Steve Austin, the real Steve Austin.....that stone cold b#####d that I know so well, is all he needs to be to burn a path of destruction through the World Wrestling Federation like never before......and the second thing I'm here to witness? Is to watch my good friend Owen Hart, wipe that s##t eating grin off the face of Shawn Michaels and The KLiQ.....when he takes that WWF Championship back to Calgary.</p><p> </p><p> Bret speaks next, he says that if this "real" Steve Austin that Pillman keeps talking about, is really such a destructive force, then he's not sure why Brian would WANT to unleash him, but then Pillman has always danced to the beat of his own drum....Bret says that Austin is a good wrestler.....and on his day, could probably out wrestle most people here in the WWF.....but today isn't his day....and he's not facing "most people".....he's getting in there with the best there is, the excellence of execution.....and the Hitman is going to take him to school.</p><p> </p><p> Owen speaks next.....saying that tonight will finally be the night when everything comes crashing down for the KLiQ.....they might have added a new member....but that won't matter....because Owen is finally going to achieve his dream.....make his family.....his big brother....proud.....when he takes the one thing away from Shawn Michaels that he was willing to sell his soul and turn his back on all his fans for.....and that's the World Wrestling Federation Championship.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Bret%20foundation_zpsfcltfqfj.jpg</span> VS. <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Ringmaster_zpsgjinxsrb.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> It's time now for what could potentially be the "wrestling" match of the night.....because there is probably nobody more technically sound in the WWF than Bret Hart....and Steve Austin, despite Brian Pillman's insistence....is genuinely one of the best wrestlers here in the World Wrestling Federation. The two men make their entrances and come face to face in the ring. There's a few moments of jaw jacking before this pair finally lock up. Austin catches Hart in a head lock, which the Hitman is able to reverse into a standing hammer lock, which in turn Steve is able to counter into a hammer lock of his own. Bret reaches between his legs, hooking the ankle of Austin, pulling him to the mat and applying a single leg lock. Steve manages to wriggle and spin his way out of it. The two go to lock up again, but Bret ducks under, goes back to back with his opponent and catches a back slide pinfall attempt that takes Austin by surprise. Austin kicks out at two, but Hart catches him again, this time with a small package......and then when Austin kicks out of that, a school boy roll up. Steve kicks out again, but is visibly annoyed, rolling to the outside to compose himself.</p><p> </p><p> Austin gets back into the ring and Hart invites him to lock up again. Austin accepts and again we have a series of submission based holds and reversals, only this time it's Austin who comes out on top, with the Hitman rolling to the floor to escape a Million Dollar Dream attempt. Bret applauds Austin's offence, realising that he has a match on his hands here. Hart climbs back into the ring and the two men lock up again.....once more Austin manages to hook in a headlock but Bret backs him against the ropes and uses the momentum to push Steve off, who rebounds off the opposite side, straight into a hard shoulder block by the Hitman that knocks him down. A series of arm drags later and again Austin finds himself locked in an arm bar. McMahon says that if you neutralise Steve Austin's arm, you take away his ability to apply the Million Dollar Dream, which shows the Hitman's game plan here. Stuck and with nowhere else to go, Austin pulls on the Hitman's hair with his one free arm, before raking the eyes to free himself.</p><p> </p><p> With his vision temporarily compromised, Hart doesn't see the bug clothesline that lays him out coming and Austin is on the attack in an instant, unleashing a number of un-technical stomps to the back of Harts head. Steve has clearly had enough of chain wrestling the Hitman, looking for a more impact based mode of attack. Hart is on the receiving end of a series of moves by Austin.....wrestling moves, but you can see the cracks begin to show as the match progresses and he is unable to put the Hitman away, because Austin relays on more and more cheap shots and dirty tricks to retain the advantage. Steve whips Bret sternum first into the corner, following that up with two of Harts signature moves, the Russian Leg Sweep, followed up by an elbow from the middle rope. That earns Austin a near fall, but Hart still has plenty of fight left in him.</p><p> </p><p> Hart slowly fights off the attack of Austin and attempts an Irish whip, but Steve is able to reverse it and on the rebound catches Hart, lifting him up and dropping him throat first on the top rope with a Stun Gun that very nearly gains him the victory. Austin tells the crowd that it's all over.....and he's going to embarrass the so called excellence of execution by putting him away with his own move. He drags Hart to the centre of the ring and takes a hold of his legs.....it looks like he's going to attempt the Hart's signature Sharpshooter, but before he can turn the Hitman over, Hart pulls his opponent down, again gaining a near fall with a small package. Austin is irate and charges at the Hitman, but Hart sidesteps it, sending his opponent crashing through the ropes and down to the floor.</p><p> </p><p> Seeing his opponent down, Bret takes a page out of his brothers playbook, choosing to take to the air, slingshotting himself over the top rope, crashing down onto Austin at ringside. All semblance of a wrestling match goes out of the window as the pair begin to brawl on the outside, Hart takes a trip into the steel steps, while Austin is the recipient of a back drop onto the floor. Both men manage to make it back into the ring before the ten count and continue their battle between the ropes, where they both manage to gain near falls, which is when we have a visitor at ringside.....</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Jarrett_zpsk69bwqey.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> ......it's Double J, Jeff Jarrett, who apparently wants to have words with Mr. Hart. He gets up onto the apron, where he proceeds to tell the Hitman that he is sick and tired of hearing Hart run down his good name.....he tells Bret that at some point soon, he's going to shut his mouth once and for all. Hart argues back, telling Jarrett that if the yellow streak down his back gets any longer it'll have Dorothy and the Tin Man walking down it looking for Oz. (no, not Kevin Nash) The official has seen enough and turns his attention to Jarrett, ordering him off the ring apron.....which is exactly when Austin kicks Hart hard, down low.....right in the family dungeon. Bret doubles over in pain and Steve drops him with that Sitout Jawbreaker that he used on the Bulldog a few weeks back.....and could have probably got the pin, had the official still not been dealing with Jarrett. Austin turns and punches Jarrett in the face, knocking him to the floor and telling him to "stay outta my damn business" before returning his attention to the Hitman. He doesn't make the cover though, instead saying that he's going to put his opponent to sleep. Austin spent too long with Jarrett however, because when he bends over to lift Hart to his feet, the Hitman catches him in yet another small package.....this one however surprised Austin enough that the official was able to register a three count, this one is over.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Bret Hart</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Bret%20foundation_zpsfcltfqfj.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Ringmaster_zpsgjinxsrb.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Jarrett_zpsk69bwqey.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Bret's music starts to play and the Hitman rolls to the outside where Jarrett is......Double J however has other ideas and rolls into the ring to escape the Hitman, who makes a chicken motion with his arms before heading back up the aisle way. Rick says that it doesn't matter what they think is in their sights.....because what's really in their sights, is my fist, hitting right in their eyeball. Scott continues, saying that for months now, Nash, Hall and the rest, they've been running around here, throwing their weight about, picking on the little guys......well we're not little guys.....look at my arms.....they're big.....and we don't get thrown around.....we do the throwing......Nash, Hall.....KLiQ.....get ready, because the Steiner Brothers are coming to kick your ass.</p><p> </p><p> After that stellar interview the Steiner's head off to prepare for their entrance, as Dok sends us back to ringside.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Tags_zpsx29l0lwx.jpg</span></p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/SSteiner_zpsxnleaaze.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/RSteiner_zps6gylvldc.jpg</span> VS. <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/DieselKliq_zpsebe1dqdn.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/RazorKliq_zpsuigldmqk.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> The Tag Team Titles are on the line and this should be a physical one folks. The KLiQ have made no secret of their desire to take the Championship Gold away from the Steiner Brothers......and the Steiner Brothers have made no secret of the fact that they want to do nothing more than kick the KLiQ's collective rears. Hall and Nash are out first....and surprisingly (much like Waltman earlier) alone.....although when you're seven feet and only a few inches she of seven feet respectively, how much back up do you realistically need. The Steiner Brothers make their way out next, with Rick barking his way to the ring. They get about halfway down the aisle before they stop, remove their championship belts and run the remainder of the way.....there's no time to waste here, they just want a piece of the KLiQ.</p><p> </p><p> The bell has barely rung before these four behemoths start swinging fists at each other, Rick going for Hall while Scott lays straight into Nash. Jim Ross remarks that despite the Steiner Brothers great amateur history, he doesn't think we are going to see too many arm bars or take downs in this one, it's going to be physical and it's going to be hard hitting......"and neither team would want it any other way" the King retorts. Surprisingly given the size of the KLiQ contingent here, the Steiner's appear to have the upper hand in the opening part of this contest.....but the thing that the Steiner's will find hard, Ross says, is accounting for the size of their opponents......Rick and Scott are used to having the upper hand, both in power and mass.....and their move set shows that......"but I don't think God himself would be able to turn Kevin Nash upside down for that Frankensteiner."</p><p> </p><p> The official finally managed to restore some semblance of order and we finally have the two legal men, that being Scott and Nash, alone in the ring....and while Scott may struggle to hit the Frankensteiner on the big man, he has no trouble whatsoever in nailing him with a big Steinerline. Rick and tag into the match, only for Hall to get taken for a ride with a big overhead belly to belly. Steiner bounces off the ropes, looking for a repeat of his brothers earlier Steinerline, but he gets hit with a big knee to the back courtesy of Nash, which causes him to stumble into Halls waiting grip, who proceeds to toss him like a sack of s##t.....and just like that, the KLiQ take control of the contest.</p><p> </p><p> Scott can only look on from the apron as Hall and Nash take their time dismantling his brother.....and they do so effectively. Neither man is ever in the ring for long enough to become fatigued, with each man coming in, hitting some big moves and then rapidly tagging out. Nash is slow and methodical, using his size to his advantage, choking Steiner in the corner with the heel of his boot, side slams.....he even busts out a strolling (because Nash doesn't run) Powerslam....where as Hall wears the man out. He uses Irish whips and back body drops to knock the wind out of the elder Steiner brother. Hall tosses Rick to the outside, where he bounces his skull off the ring steps, before running him into the corner post, followed up straight away with a belly to back suplex on the floor. If the Titles hadn't been on the line, we may well have seen the KLiQ pick up a count out victory here, but knowing that Pinfall or Submission is the only way to take the titles home, Hall rolls Steiner back into the ring and tags out to Nash. </p><p> </p><p> Nash comes into the ring and goes back to work.....he gets a near fall after dropping Steiner face first on to the turnbuckle with the Snake Eyes, and then knocks Rick down so hard with a big boot that Scotty has to rush in to break up the pinfall. Nash smirks at the crowd and drops the straps on his top, signalling for the Jackknife, but as he positions Rick for the move, Scott, sensing the match AND the Tag Titles slipping away, again rushes the ring and nails Big Sexy with a hard Steinerline, that gives Rick enough breathing space to finally drag himself over to his corner and make the tag.</p><p> </p><p> Scott is fully rested and has plenty of aggression to let out, which he does at the expense of both the KLiQ members. Hall runs into the fray, but gets tossed with an overhead belly to belly.....Nash swings a number of right hands, but each one is dodged and countered with a right hand of his own, eventually backing Big Sexy into the corner, where Scott mounts the turnbuckles to give the mandatory ten punches of doom as the crowd counts along. Steiner catches glimpse of Hall stalking up on him from behind and leaps from the middle top, spinning around in mid air and delivering a diving Steinerline to the Bad Guy. Nash advances from the corner, but Scott catches him with a dropkick to the leg that drops the giant to one knee, giving Steiner the opportunity to nail him with a bulldog.....Scott Steiner is on fire here. Rick re-enters the fray, meaning that Scott no longer has to focus his attention on both KLiQ members, because his brother tackles Nash to the outside, leaving the two Scott's alone in the ring.</p><p> </p><p> Hall fares no better on his own against Scotty than he did a moment ago with his partners help. Steiner is tossing him around the ring like a man possessed.....unfortunately, while hitting the Bad Guy with a spinning belly to belly, Halls left foot connects with the official, knocking him down and out. Nash at ringside soon notices that the referee is down and out.....and taking advantage of the lack of enforcer, he drops to his knees and lifts Rick Steiner almost out of his boots with a vicious low blow, before dragging the man over to the Spanish Commentary table, where he Jackknifes the hell out of him, straight through the wood. With Rick down and out, buried under the wreckage of wood and television monitors, Nash reaches under the ring, pulling out a baseball bat. He slides into the ring, behind Scotty, who has Hall positioned for a double underhook suplex.....and waffles him right in the back of the head.</p><p> </p><p> Hall pulls himself back to his feet and picks the prone body of Scott Steiner up, with Nash's assistance he lifts Steiner's muscular frame up and then plants him to the mat with the Razors Edge. Nash pulls the referee over.....and one very slow three count later, we have new WWF Tag Team Champions.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner(s):</strong> ......and NEW WWF Tag Team Champions......The KLiQ</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Terri_zpsso1jlmwi.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Jericho_zpswdgqcakv.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Following that despicable display, we head to the back, where Chris Jericho thought he was going to be interviewed by Dok Hendrix.....its Marlena however, who is stood waiting for him....gold microphone and all. Hakushi had been kind of an afterthought around here, but he's certainly gotten his name back out their with his recent actions.</p><p> </p><p> The match gets underway and it's decent....but these two were always going to struggle to follow the night's opening Light Heavyweight contest, which truly was excellent....they gave it their all, but truth be known, Rey Mysterio is still a relative newcomer and Hakushi....well Hakushi just isn't that over. The action was back and forth and certainly high paced and high risk.....there was a high risk of Rey getting sprayed in the face with most again too, but tonight he was able to avoid it, leaving a wet green smear on the top turnbuckle....and Hakushi's dastardly tactics were his own downfall....because when he went up top, looking for his moonsault a few minutes later, he slipped on that same green, wet, most covered turnbuckle, crashing to the mat.....which left him wide open to a springboard splash from Mysterio, who picked up a nice Pay Per View win here at In Your House. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Rey Mysterio</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/HBKKliq_zpsphlcapai.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/DieselKliq_zpsebe1dqdn.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/RazorKliq_zpsuigldmqk.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/HHHKliq2_zpsn5ltccm1.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/SunnyKliq_zpsnlytrskn.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/WaltmanKliq_zpsplkqbets.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Crediblekliq_zps2cagnrfx.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> We go backstage and Dok Hendrix is at the locker room door of the KLiQ, there's a lot of loud noise coming from inside. Dok knocks....but due to the noise levels he has to knock a further two times before anyone answers. Waltman finally opens the door and asks Dok what he wants.....Hendrix says he's simply looking for a word with the KLiQ ahead of tonight's World Title match. Waltman looks Dok up and down, before grabbing hold of the cameraman. He tells the interviewer that "this guy can come in.....you? You can Suck It."....before dragging the cameraman into the locker room and slamming the door shut on Hendrix's face.</p><p> </p><p> The cameraman is dragged to the middle of the KLiQ's locker room, where the source of all the noise is coming from, as Hunter Hearst Helmsley is on the receiving end of a lot of hustle and bustle, jokes and general hazing. Shawn has him in a playful headlock while Hall is tussling his hair. Sunny looks on with a smile on her face, her long elegant gowns long gone, seemingly replaced with a (more familiar to her) little black number. Nash is telling Hunter that it's about time he made the call to come into the fold.</p><p> </p><p> "We've been telling you for months that the shirt was here and waiting for you, all you had to do was say the word.....I guess you finally saw sense and had enough of playing the blueblood....you've always been one of the boys Hunter, it just took you a while to remember that."</p><p> </p><p> Shawn releases the headlock, instead wrapping his arm around the shoulders of his close friend, before saying that "Triple H" (as he calls him....catchy, I like it) here, has never seen a silver spoon a day in his life....and as for being a blueblood? The only things blue on him, are his b###'s when he upsets this beautiful young lady right here (pointing to Sunny and laughing.) he says that the final piece of the puzzle is in place and the band if finally back together.....he says that the KLiQ is complete and like Owen Hart is going to find out next, that means bad news for the entire WWF locker room.</p><p> </p><p> "Because know this.....In Your House, KLiQ Rulez.....it's not a slogan or a fancy buzzword.....it's just a god damn fact jack.....look at this right here....(points to Waltman) WWF Light Heavyweight Champion.....(Helmsley) WWF Intercontinental Champion......(Hall & Nash) WWF Tag Team Champions.....and then there's this right here (holding up the WWF Title) the richest prize in the game....the WWF World Championship.....the KLiQ holds all the gold now....and Owen Hart, believe me when I tell you that the KLiQ will still be holding all the gold, after I've kicked your teeth down your throat, in about five minutes fime.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/World_zps9es5qvhb.jpg</span></p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/HBKKliq_zpsphlcapai.jpg</span> VS. <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Owen%20Foundation_zpsfj2fxdgo.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> It's time for the main event of the evening......and what a main event it's going to be....because when you've got workers of the quality of Shawn Michaels and Owen Hart in the match, you know it's going to be good....throw in a hot storyline on top of it and the crowd should eat this up. Owen makes his entrance first, with the announcers commenting that this is Hart's first World Title opportunity on Pay Per View since Summerslam 1994, when he challenged his brother Bret inside the confines of a steel cage.....Jim Ross says that Owen should make the most of this chance tonight, because if he should be unsuccessful, he's sure the KLiQ would love to make Owen wait another two years for his next shot.</p><p> </p><p> The Champion is out next, surprisingly alone....but unsurprisingly full of confidence....but then I suppose when you have an entire KLiQ in the back, waiting to offer assistance should you need it, you're going to be pretty confident. He comes face to face with Hart in the middle of the ring, where he tells him that "I took this belt from your big brother......he couldn't get the job done.....what chance the runt of the litter have? Turn around and go home baby bird, before you get hurt....again"</p><p> </p><p> Owen does indeed turn around....but only about half way, turning back with a snapping series of punches that back Michaels into the ropes, where he gets Irish Whipped for his troubles, with Owen hitting a spinning heel kick on the rebound that sends the Champion scurrying to the outside. Michaels slams the ring steps in frustration, taking a nine count on the floor to regain his composure before finally entering the ring. The pair lock up and Owen catches Michaels in a wrist lock. The Champion is able to reverse it, but Hart reverses it back immediately, before Michaels even has chance to apply any pressure. Looking for a cheap way out, HBK grabs Owen by the hair and yanks him to the mat.....the Challenger immediately kips up however, with the hold still applied. Michaels rakes the eyes to break the hold, clearly sick of being embarrassed, before hitting Hart with a series of back elbows. He throws Owen hard into the turnbuckles, and attempts to follow up with a splash....but Hart gets out of the way, leaving Michaels to crash chest first into the corner. The Champion stagger backwards and Owen catches him with a roll up for a close two count. HBK charges at his challenger, clearly getting frustrated, but Hart is able to sidestep him again.....sending him into the corner....again. Owen takes a run up and leaps towards Michaels, looking for a monkey flip out of the corner....but Shawn catches hold of Owens legs and picks him up, dumping him unceremoniously over the top rope and crashing down to the floor. </p><p> </p><p> Michaels follows Hart to the outside, where he drives his spine into the ring post. That hurts Hart, but not as much as when he is driven shoulder first into the ring steps, re aggravating the pain that was inflicted a few weeks back when Jeff Jarrett slammed a car door on Owen. Shawn rolls in and out of the ring to break the officials count, before going back to work on the arm. He threads it round the back of the ring post, first yanking hard on the limb, slamming the shoulder into the steel, before winding up and bouncing the arm itself off the metal. He rolls Owen back into the ring, delivering a series of stomps to the arm area. Pulling the King of Harts to his feet he whips him shoulder first into the turnbuckles, followed by a side suplex. Now firmly in control the signs of frustration disappear and Michaels more usual cocky demeanour soon come back as he continues to punish his Challenger. He rolls Hart into his front and drops a series of knees to the shoulder area, before dragging him over to the edge of the ring, where he wraps Owens arm up in the ropes, wrenching back on it for extra leverage, all the way up to a four and a half count from the official.</p><p> </p><p> Michaels stays on the offensive but Owen is not giving up without a fight, knowing that his brother sacrificed this shot so that he could take it.....and also knowing that he may not get another one anytime soon should he fail. Michaels nails him with a big time Piledriver, but it only draws a two count. Dragging Hart to the centre of the ring, the WWF Champion rolls his opponent on his front, before heading up to the top rope, where he flys with that patented elbow drop.....because of Owens positioning though, Michaels drives the point of his elbow into the King of Harts shoulder, instead of his normal target, the chest. Owen cries out in pain as Michaels cockily kips up, backs into the corner....and begins to tune up the band. He stomps his foot repeatedly as Owen slowly struggles to his feet, before flying across the ring and unleashing some Sweet Chin Music......but Hart blocks the kick, holding onto the foot and hitting a last ditch enzuguri of his own.</p><p> </p><p> The two men both fight to their feet, where they begin trading blows. Michaels swings wildly at his opponent but Owen is able to dodge it, sending the WWF Champion over the top rope....Michaels being Michaels however, he doesn't crash to the floor, instead he skins the cat, before powering himself up and over and back into the ring......where Hart is waiting with a running clothesline, again straight over the top, but this time Shawn lands on the floor with a thud. Owen follows him outside and continues with the offence, which culminates with the WWF Champion being backdropped high into the air, landing atop of the commentary table. Hart rolls into the ring to break up the count....but from their he heads up top, perching on the top turnbuckle as the commentary team scatters in anticipation of what's coming next.....because what came next was Owen taking flight, all the way down to ringside, crashing through Michaels and the table on route with a big splash.</p><p> </p><p> It takes to a count of nine, but Hart finally rolls in and back out of the ring again, breaking the count.....he really had no other choice because Michaels hasn't moved from the wreckage and doesn't look like he would have without help. Owen knows the only way to win this one is by count out or submission.....and should this match have been contested under falls count anywhere rules, me may well have had a new Champion right now, but it's not....and we don't......instead Owen has to practically drag Shawn Michaels probe body over to the ring apron, before using all of his strength to haul him back up and between the ropes. He goes for the cover, but unbelievably Michaels kicks out....barely. Owen can see the finishing line in sight though and he hooks Shawns legs, wraps him up....and turns him over in the Sharpshooter....</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/HHHKliq2_zpsn5ltccm1.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/SunnyKliq_zpsnlytrskn.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> ......which is when these two come running down to ringside. Hunter Hearst Helmsley (that's Triple H to his friends) and Sunny.....Sunny hops on the apron, distracting the official just long enough for Helmsley to reach into the ring and grab Michaels arms, pulling the Champion to the bottom rope, just as the referee turns around to see the rope break. Quick as a flash Sunny is back on the apron, giving Hunter the chance to hop into the ring, where he nails Hart with a Pedigree, while HBK pauses to regain his strength.....</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Bret%20foundation_zpsfcltfqfj.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Bulldog%20Foundation_zpssd4apj29.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> ......which is when Bret Hart and the British Bulldog come running to the ring. The Hitman chases Sunny from the apron, while Davey Boy drags Hunter to the outside, where the two trade blows all the way up the aisle-way, before security finally separate them and escort the pair to the back. Unfortunately it may have been a case of too little too late for the Hart Foundation.....because Owen is dazed and confused following the Pedigree from Triple H. He uses the ropes for leverage, pulling himself back to a standing position.....but all he does is position himself right for the Sweet Chin Music from Shawn Michaels. The official counts the cover......and this one is over.....the KLiQ keep the WWF Title in their possession.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> .....and STILL WWF Champion.....Shawn Michaels </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/HBKKliq_zpsphlcapai.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/DieselKliq_zpsebe1dqdn.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/RazorKliq_zpsuigldmqk.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/HHHKliq2_zpsn5ltccm1.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/SunnyKliq_zpsnlytrskn.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/WaltmanKliq_zpsplkqbets.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Crediblekliq_zps2cagnrfx.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> The match is over and while Owen Hart may have come out on the losing end, he certainly has nothing to be ashamed about. <p>Great show! Loved it! The Kliq Stable you've built is a heat magnet! Sunny and Trips is an obvious addition. I also love the factions that you've built up too! Your Nation in particular I'm a big fan of. Great use of Scorpio.</p><p> </p><p>

1.) Sign the Warrior. I'd love to see you jam him in this early attitude climate you've built. 2.) If not, someone else said Scott Steiner--I'd be into that for sure.</p><p> </p><p>

3.) For my last choice, I'd like to vote to sew some discord in the Kliq and vote Nash.</p>

All in all I was really happy with the In Your House event....although it was a little bit bittersweet....first of all the good....obviously the main event was spectacular, I was never really expecting it to be bad with the competitors involved, but Shawn and Owen put on a hell of a match.....ditto for the tag match involving the Steiner's and the KLiQ, Scott Steiner in particular has been impressing a lot of people recently and his showing in this match cemented that. In other good matches Bret and Steve had a hell of a match, I was a little bit worried about the fans accepting Steve as a legitimate threat to Bret, especially with the Ringmaster still fresh in everyone's memory....but while the fans still don't quite conceive Austin as a main eventer, this match certainly put him on his way. The surprise match of the evening turned out to be the Light Heavyweight contest between Waltman and Lynn. Considering Lynn's relative unknown status I wasn't sure how well the crowd would receive this one but it turns out that a combination of good chemistry and a great match is all you need to get even the most unknown superstars cheered.

But then there's the bittersweet.....the KLiQ......both Justin Credible and everybody's favourite Prima-Donna Shawn Michaels managed to generate quite a lot of heat backstage, thanks to injures that happened during their matches. Al Snow picked up a groin inflammation during his match with Credible. Luckily it's nothing too serious and Al won't need any time off....I may keep him to vignettes for a few weeks though, just to be on the safe side. In fairness to young Justin, he wasn't really to fault but I think it's more a case of guilt by association, because while he isn't one of the famous five (kliq) backstage, he's certainly palled up with them since his on screen allegiance began. The same can't be said for Michaels, who was absolutely at fault for the injury to Owen, who picked up a Grade II Hamstring Contusion, which is going to keep him out of action for about a month. A lot of the boys, Bret Hart included, believe that Shawn deliberately botched the move that led to the injury, mainly to ensure that the Hart Foundation lost a little bit of steam with Owen out of action. I would like to think that wasn't the case, but Shawn was 100% at fault for the injury. I spoke to Michaels after the event, he assured me that it was an accident, but he certainly lot didn't seem overly bothered at the fact that he injured Owen, nor did he particularly care about the heat that came with it.....he was however extremely happy with the booking of the match (surprise, surprise when it was him going over)

Over in dubbya see dubbya, they held their annual Slamboree event, where Ric Flair defended the WCW Title against Meng of all people in the main event. Flair thankfully retained in the only match worth a damn on the entire card. He picked up a coronary ligament sprain while doing so, but early reports are that he will work through it. The former Dumpster, Duke Droese made his PPV debut, teaming with the Renegade in a losing effort against the Bluebloods. As usual there was no in ring action for Hogan, Warrior, Savage, Sting, Luger or Vader....although they were at least all on this show, even if it was only appearing in angles. Our show was easily better than this dross.....and yet somehow they continue to draw the bigger numbers, both on TV and Buy Rates....I don't know what's wrong with people, I really don't.

OOC: Ok, the Raw preview should be up soon(ish) I'm currently working on my KotR brackets, because I've a feeling that the majority of matches between now and the PPV will be made up of qualifying bouts.....there is still plenty of time to get your nominations in for the next challenger to Shawn Michaels.....currently we have Scott Steiner in the lead.

Week 4, May 1996

Arrowhead Pond

ATT: 17,033

TV: 14.70

The show starts with the usual post PayPer View opening, still shots from the events of In Your House, accompanied by a voice over from Mr Vincent Kennedy McMahon, ending on a shot of the KLiQ standing victorious in the middle of the ring, with every Championship in the WWF in their possession and hoisted high in the air. We head live to the arena, where that very same Vince McMahon is standing by, along with Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross to welcome us to the show. They briefly recap the results and ramifications from last night.....but it only is briefly, because they are soon interrupted by some now very familiar music....

http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/HBKKliq_zpsphlcapai.jpghttp://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/DieselKliq_zpsebe1dqdn.jpghttp://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/RazorKliq_zpsuigldmqk.jpghttp://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/HHHKliq2_zpsn5ltccm1.jpghttp://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/SunnyKliq_zpsnlytrskn.jpghttp://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/WaltmanKliq_zpsplkqbets.jpghttp://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Crediblekliq_zps2cagnrfx.jpg

......as the entire KLiQ makes its way to the ring, led by the cocky and confident image that is the WWF Champion, The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels. All men are clad in the sweet black and white KLiQ shirts, with the biggest transformations being Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Sunny. Gone is Helmsley's Connecticut Blue Blood attire, instead it has been replaced by the afore mentioned shirt and some snazzy new black tights, with a KLiQ logo on the rear and a "hHh" on either leg. Sunny has ditched her usual elegant gowns, for a much shorter black leather number with the KLiQ logo adorned across the low cut top that barely contains her ample chest.

The group climbs into the ring, Michaels with the WWF Title around his waist, Nash and Hall with the WWF Tag Team Titles around theirs. Waltman has the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship draped over his shoulder, while Helmsley has taken his WWF Intercontinental Title and handed it to Sunny, who is stood beside him, polishing the Gold. They soak in the boo's (and a smattering of cheers from the smarks) of the crowd, before Michaels takes a microphone.

"I came out here, the night after Wrestlemania, and told all you idiots in the crowd....and all the losers in the back....that the KLiQ was here....and we were here to take over.....and I know what you were thinking at the time (adopts a whiny mocking voice) "oh, there's only three of them....and one of them used to be in the Rockers, what are they going to do?".....You doubted me.....just like you've doubted me my whole career.....nobody thought I would go anywhere after I threw Marty Jannetty through that Barber Shop window....nobody thought I'd win the Intercontinental Championship when I went up against the British Bulldog on Saturday Nights Main Event less than twelve months later......and you can sure as hell bet that nobody thought I would ever be headlining Wrestlemania, winning the WWF Title in the process......just like nobody thought we would actually be able to take over........(indicates to the sea of humanity surrounding him).....well what do you think now?"

Michaels goes on to talk about how he beat The Hitman to take this Title....he beat Hart's baby brother Owen last night, putting him on the shelf in the process.....he's beat the announcer (pointing at Lawler).....he WOULD beat the Undertaker, but the Deadman is nowhere to be seen.....who's next? He says that maybe he should take next months King of the Ring event off, because the Challengers are getting a little thin on the ground......

http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/SSteiner_zpsxnleaaze.jpghttp://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/RSteiner_zps6gylvldc.jpg

......which surprisingly brings out the former WWF Tag Team Champions, the Steiner Brothers. Rick and Scott remain at the top of the entrance way (even the Steiner's aren't stupid enough to get in that ring right now) telling Michaels to shut his damn mouth, because they've got something to say to Hall and Nash. HBK is far from amused at being interrupted....and even less amused at being told to shut up, but The Steiner's continue regardless. They tell Hall and Nash that the only way they beat them last night, was with the help of a baseball bat and if they've got any balls, they will give them a rematch for those Titles right now.

Nash takes the stick, telling the Steiner's that they need to calm down and hold their horses...."you can't just go around demanding title shots....there's a lot of other teams around here that deserve a shot too....I mean, you've got those two up and comers, Pat and Seth, The Hardly Boys.....there's the Godwinns, Henry and his idiot cousin have been lighting it up around here....there's those two fat Samoans....I mean, come on......you're at the back of a very long line....."

http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Monsoon_zps1s02s6qy.jpg

.......apparently the WWF President Gorilla Monsoon has something to say on the matter, as he walks out from the back. He tells the KLiQ that he has an answer to all the questions....saying that the Steiner Brothers will NOT be challenging for the Tag Team Titles at King of the Ring.....but Shawn Michaels WILL be defending the WWF Championship. He says that this year, the King of the Ring Tournament is one of the biggest and most important so far.....because not only will the winner have the privilege of being called the King of the WWF, he will also have the opportunity to Challenge the WWF Champion, whoever that may be, at July's In Your House event. Because of the importance of this years tournament, 32 men have been drawn at random to take part.....and you Rick Steiner......your name was drawn, you're one of the 32.

Scott pats his brother on the back, pleased that he has this opportunity....while Michaels points out that in that case, everyone's taken up with the tournament.....so the Champ gets the night off. Monsoon tells him that no, the WWF Champion does not get "nights off"....he tells him that he will be defending that Title, against a man who was not lucky enough to be picked for the King of the Ring Tournament....."and that man......is Scott Steiner." This time it's Ricks turn to congratulate his brother, while HBK looks on from the ring, clearly less than impressed at this news.

King of the Ring 1st Round Match

The first match of the evening is a Ring of the Ring first round match. The luck of the draw has Marc Mero facing off against Nation member Scorpio. This is a decent little match, with both men unleashing their respectively unorthodox high flying manoeuvres. McMahon informs us that not only have all members of the Nation been entered into this years King of the Ring, but Waltman, Credible and Helmsley from the KLiQ have as well, giving us the potential of stablemate having to face stablemate......Scorpio doesn't have to worry about that though.....because a Shooting Star Press from Mero ensures that he won't be facing anyone else in this King of the Ring Tournament, because he's outta there.

Winner: Marc Mero

Following that victory for Mero, we head to the back where Dok He drop is standing by with the Legion of Doom and the Hardy Boys. They talk briefly about the upcoming match and the fact that the Hardys are ready to prove themselves against the biggest teams that the WWF have to offer. Hendrix then asks about the Hardys chances in the King of the Ring tournament, as well as the L.o.D's thoughts about not being in it. Matt and Jeff both say it's a great opportunity and hopefully they will be able to translate that opportunity into a title shot. As for the Legion of Doom.....well......

"WE DON'T CARE ABOUT NO STINKING TOURNAMENT......AND WE SURE AS HELL DON'T WANT TO BE KINGS.....ALL WE CARE ABOUT, IS GETTING A SHOT AT THE WWF TAG TEAM TITLES....TELL EM HAWK"

"DO YOU KNOW WHAT REALLY MAKES US MAD DOK? BESIDE EVERYTHING?......DON'T BOTHER ANSWERING, BECAUSE I'M GOING TO TELL YOU.....IT SEEMS TO ME THAT WHEN KEVIN NASH AND SCOTT HALL WERE LISTING TAG TEAMS EARLIER, THEY LEFT SOMEONE OUT.......THATS BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT THE MINUTE THEY STEP INTO THE RING WITH ME AND ANIMAL, THE ONLY KLiQ THEY'LL BE HEARING, IS THE CLICK OF THEIR ARMS BEING SEPARATED FROM THEIR SHOULDERS AND THEIR NECKS BEING SNAPPED LIKE DRY TWIGS.....SOMEDAY SOON, THE LEGION OF DOOM WILL BE COMING FOR HALL AND NASH.....AND WHEN WE DO......UHHHHHH, WHAT A RUSH!"

It's time for the only tag team match of the evening.....an eight man tag non the less. This all stems from the Hardy's attempt to break out of "enhancement" (they were jobbers, let's not sugar coat it) level and finally be seen as credible contenders....unfortunately they have yet to pick up that elusive win, although they get closer with each passing week. Tonight is a big ask though.....a very big ask in the case of Nelson Knight.....but their one saving grace is the fact that their partners are the former WWF Tag Team Champions, the Legion of Doom.

This match was......well it was a match.....wasn't good, wasn't bad.....it just was. The L.o.D and the Hardys started strong, before the heels were able to isolate Matt and take control of the bout. They punished the youngster, but Matt just won't die (hmmm) he takes a hell of a beating but is finally able to make the hot tag to Hawk. The end came quick and fast from there. Nelson got bundled to the outside where Matt and Jeff were brawling with the Harris Boys, while Animal lifted Bobby Knight up on his shoulders for the Doomsday Device......but that wasn't it, because with Knight down, Jeff rolled back into the ring and climbed to the top rope, before flying off with a beautiful Swanton Bomb.....and three seconds later, the Hardys finally had a win under their belt.

As the LoD and the Hardys make their exit, we cut to the commentary table, where Vince McMahon talks about the situation that occurred between the Smoking Gunns last night, telling us that Bart Gunn is still in the medical facility, he has still got feeling in his extremities, but there is some serious neck issues that will require further examination....he says that we aren't sure if or when we will see Bart Gunn again, but everyone here at the WWF certainly wish him a speedy recovery......

http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Mr%20Perfect_zpssbms1vgf.jpghttp://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Billy_zpswa5o3qyv.jpg

......which is exactly when these two gentlemen make their way down the aisle. Billy certainly looks different than the last time we saw him, gone are the cowboy apparel, the denim, the cowboy boots....instead he is wearing a more traditional wrestling attire, thigh length lime green trunks, knee pads and wrestling boots. Perfect has a microphone with him, and tells McMahon to shut up. The pair get into the ring, where Mr. Perfect says that last night Bart Gunn got exactly what was coming to him. He's been holding this man back for three years now....well no more.....no more Smoking Gunns.....and no more talking about the lesser Gunn.....we don't care about his health, his prognosis or his future......"it's time to stop talking about the Bitch.....and start talking about the Bad Ass."

He says that the future starts next week, because Billy Gunn will be facing off against Rikishi, in his first step on the road to wining the King of the Ring Tournament.....and the first step in his path to glory. Billy takes the mic and runs down Bart, telling him that all that pain he's feeling in his neck, is nothing to the pain that Billy's back has been in all these years from carrying his no good ass to title after title. He says from now on, the only titles he's going to be winning are going to be for himself, before telling Bart to "enjoy early retirement......Partner."

"Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's to the back we go, with a Dok Hendrix and a Jericho, Hi Ho, Hi Ho, Hi Ho, Hi Ho" (Sorry) We head to the back where Dok is with Chris Jericho. Hendrix says that Lionheart is a man trying to do three things at once here in the WWF, he wants to regain the Light Heavyweight Championship.....win the King of the Ring.....and now he has the advances of Goldust to worry about.....is he not concerned that he's spreading himself a little bit too thin? Jericho tells Dok not to worry, there's plenty on his plate but he's only worrying about one meal at a time, tonight it's Justin Credible and the King of the Ring qualifier......the Light Heavyweight Championship will come in time.....and as for Goldust, he told him last night that he would be waiting for him, but no ones seen hind nor fake gold hair of him.....so tonight, I just have to go out there and do exactly what I did last week....and that's beat Justin Credible.

King of the Ring 1st Round Match

Credible is looking for revenge after his defeat Lamar week at the hands of Jericho, the random draw has placed them against each other here.....with a possible date with Credible's KLiQ cohort Sean Waltman on the cards for the winner, should Waltman make it past Al Snow later tonight.

As far as this match goes, well it goes pretty much the same way that it did last week. Credible has come on a long way since joining up with the KLiQ.....and is certainly leaps and bounds ahead of his Aldo Montoya days, but it's Jericho that carries the match. Last week he picked up the submission victory with the Liontamer, this week he managed to pick up the pinfall victory following a springboard moonsault from the second rope, dubbed the Lionsault.

Jericho is celebrating his win, when the sumptuous figure that is Marlena comes sauntering down the aisle. She climbs into the ring and congratulates Jericho on his victory, telling him that the King of the Ring crown would look good atop his long golden locks......unfortunately, Goldust is in the tournament too.....so what he wants me to ask you.....is if you're the King......will you let him be your Queen? Jericho looks frankly horrified at this question.....but fortunately he doesn't have to ponder it for long, as again a golden blur comes flying into the ring behind him......

http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Goldust_zps20awxhyl.jpg

......Goldust once again comes out of the crowd, blindsiding Jericho much as he did last week, beating him to the mat and again putting him down and out with a big Curtain Call. Again Goldust drops to a seating position, cradling Jericho's head in his lap, while Marlena holds a microphone to his mouth.

"'Oh no, it wasn't the aeroplanes, it was Beauty killed the Beast' King Kong, 1933.....and it was your beauty Chris that bought me back to the World Wrestling Federation.....I sat at home the last two months and I watched you become a Champion, I watched you blossom, I watched you grow.....and something in me (deep breath) grew.....desire......the desire to get back to the World Wrestling Federation....and see if you were as good as I thought you were (Goldust slowly starts stroking Jericho's hair) but not tonight.....tonight was just a taste of what to come......we will dance Chris, soon.......and when we do, you will never forget the name (deep breath) Goldustttttttt."

We come back from commercial to the sight of Jeff Jarrett already stood in the middle of the ring with a microphone in hand. He tells the crowd to shut up as the catcall him (or should that be chickencall) with jeers and shouts of chicken, but Jarrett says that is exactly what he's here to address.....he says that he will finally prove once and for all that he's no chicken.....and he's going to do it, by beating 31 other men to become the King of the Ring......and then he's going to go to In Your House.....and take the World Wrestling Federation Championship too....."and Bret Hart....I hope our paths meet at some point in all of this, because when I get you in this ring, I'm going to make you quit with the figure four leg lock.....then everyone will know, who the real chicken around here is......now bring out my damn opponent."

His opponent does indeed come out and it's Henry Godwinn. Both Henry and his partner have been floundering of late here, both victims of the cartoony type of gimmicks that I have been trying to slowly wean out. Sooner or later either the pig farmer shtick will have to go, or the Godwinns themselves will find themselves gone......for now though old Hank is in here with Double J......he lost to the figure four....that is all.

Following that barn burner we head to the back where Dok Hendrix is standing by with the Hitman and the Bulldog of the Hart Foundation, as well as Bret's opponent tonight, Brian Pillman. Dok opens up, first by asking how Owen is doing.....and secondly, how does it feel for Bret and Brian to have to fight each other tonight? Bret says that Owen is ok, he's got a Hamstring Contusion that's going to keep him out of action for about a month, but he'll be back stronger than ever, it's just a shame he's missed out on the opportunity to be a part of the King of the Ring.....as far as facing Brian goes, it's not ideal, but realistically, to win the King of the Ring means sooner or later possibly having to go up against your friends (looks at Davey Boy) or family, because Bulldog is in this too.....but the fact of the matter is, with a WWF Championship opportunity on the line, if I have to go through Brian, through Davey.....then that's what I'm going to do......I've won the King of the Ring before, I can damn sure do it again.

Pillman pretty much echoes Bret's sentiments, saying that he spent enough time getting stretched in the Dungeon by the Harts, that a simple wrestling match will be like a walk in the park......but he tells Bret that just because you've done it before, it doesn't mean squat, because in 1993 the Loose Cannon wasn't there to stop you in your tracks.....may the best man win. Pillman offers his hand and Bret shakes it.....

"Well would you look at this happy horses##t....."

http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Ringmaster_zpsgjinxsrb.jpg

".......why don't ya give him a hug while you're at it."

It's everybody's favourite Ring General, Steve Austin. He tells Bret that he got lucky last night and the only reason that he won, is because "Jeff Jarrett stuck his nose in my damn business......now I've got the perfect opportunity, to prove that I am what I say I am....and that's the best damn WRESTLER here in the WWF, by our wrestling thirty one other guys to become the King of the Ring and that's exactly what I'm going to do. Bulldog, me and you are in the same brackets, so I hope I get to beat your ass just like I did a couple of weeks ago......as for you two jackasses, I don't care which one of you goes through....because I'll be waiting on the other side and that a guarantee."

The men exchange words for a moment before they finally walk off, leaving Dok to sign off back to Vince......or he is about to when he hears a commotion coming from down the hall.......

The camera follows Dok down the hall to an room where voices can be heard coming from inside.

".....I can't do it Doc......no I know.....he doesn't want me to do it either....."

"You CAN do it Al.....you need to do it, this is the next step on your road to recovery."

".........but she's a woman......I can't do it, I can't hit a woman.......really?.....even He can't hit a woman Doc......"

Intrigued as to what is going on Hendrix enters the room only to find.....

.......Al Snow and his Doctor, Simon Coe stood in front of a female, undressed, store mannequin. He stops to assess the scene for a moment, before finally asking what in the world is going on. Dr. Coe says that he is taking radical action in an effort to finally cure poor Al of his psychosis. He says that Snow has a very unhealthy relationship with his inner voice.....in so much that they don't appear to especially like each other......so what Al is going to do, is transfer that rage into this mannequin......in an effort to finally try and "beat" Avatar out of his head. Al says that it's not going to work, but Coe tells him to just humour him.....but do it quickly, because their time is nearly up. Al tentatively reaches out and gently taps the mannequin on the cheek.

"No, no, no.....for this to work Al, you need to let go and release all your rage that Avatar causes you, into that mannequin.....don't tap it....HIT IT!"

Al slaps the mannequin slightly harder this time, causing it to rock slightly.....Dr. Coe tells him "harder.....HARDER.....listen to Avatar Al, what's he saying? How does that make you feel?" Al stops for a moment....

"......what did you say?......this is stupid I know but......no I'm not.....you are.......NO YOU ARE!......well the Doctor says that this will finally shut you up......no you shut up......YOU.......no YOU are......I'm not......YOU'RE THE POOPY HEAD!!!!......"

With that Al lets out an animalistic howl and dives at the mannequin, laying rain with fist after fist with a lot of pent up frustration, before finally grabbing hold and delivering a Snow Plow so hard that it knocks the mannequin head clean off its shoulders. Dr. Coe places his hand on Snows back, startling him out of his almost trancelike state, before asking him to listen to Avatar now.

Al cocks his head, before a huge smile breaks out in his face. He tells Coe that "he's gone.....it's so quiet in there.......(smiles less)......so very quiet." Coe turns to Hendrix, telling him that his work here is done for today. He congratulates Al and says they will meet again next week, before Dok and the Doc finally leave Al alone. Snow sits there dazed for a minute, muttering "so quiet" under his breath, before scanning the room as his eyes come to rest on the severed mannequin head.

"What are you looking at?......did you just say what I think you said?.......yes he's gone........me? My name is Al........well it's nice to meet you too Head......"

With that Snow scurries over and quickly swipes "Head" up off the floor and hides her in his gym bag, as we head out to the arena for the arrival of Al's opponent for the evening.

King of the Ring 1st Round Match

With Justin Credible failing to pick up the victory earlier tonight, Sean Waltman at least knows that defeating Al Snow means that he won't have to face his KLiQ cohort.....it does however mean that he will have to step back in the ring with the man that he stole the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship from, Chris Jericho. Al on the other hand should be looking for retribution, following Waltman's assault of Dr. Coe last night, that arguably lead to Snow losing both control of the voices and control of the match.

Al is like a new man in this one, without the constant tirade from Avatar in his head he is actually able to concentrate on his opponent. Clearly expecting the usually distracted Snow to be a walkover, Waltman is taken by surprise....and very nearly finds himself defeated and eliminated from the King of the Ring tournament, until the video screen flickers to a shot of backstage, where the KLiQ have Dr. Coe surrounded. Hall, Nash and Helmsley proceed to beat the snot out of the good Doctor, while Credible and Michaels goad Snow into trying to save his "pal". Al doesn't hesitate, jumping out of the ring and heading to the back, leaving the official to count him out and Waltman to advance in the tournament.

The camera follows Snow all the way to the back, where he finds Dr. Coe a battered mess, with the KLiQ showing no signs of stopping. Snow shows no fear as he dives at the attackers, managing to get a good few hits in on both Credible and Hall, before the sheer numbers defeat him and he is engulfed by a sea of KLiQ members beating him down. Waltman soon joins the fray, having taken the time to stop and celebrate his victory and its soon six against two, while Sunny stands on laughing.

Credible and Waltman drag two tables out of a nearby room and set them up in the hallway, while Nash and Hall pick up the bodies of Coe and Snow respectively. One Jackknife and a Razors Edge later and Al Snow and Simon Coe are left laying on the concrete floor, surrounded by the splintered remains of the wooden tables they have just been driven through, while the KLiQ stand back and admire their handiwork, before Credible kneels down and slaps the Doctor across the face, telling him that he shouldn't have stuck his nose in KLiQ business last night.

It's back to the arena, where the fire exploding from the corner posts signals the arrival of Kane, along with manager Jim Cornette and Mankind. The trio make it down to the ring, where Cornette proceeds to call out the Undertaker again. He tells him that it's another day, another no show.....Cornette says that it's shame that's keeping him away.....shame and fear.....but if he doesn't show soon......then all the skeletons that he thought were dead and buried will be dug up for the whole world to learn about.

Mankind who has been sat in the corner of the ring, slowly rocking back and forth is handed the microphone. He pauses for a moment before reiterating Cornette's point...saying that both he and Kane have unfinished business with the Deadman.....but in the meantime, they need to find something to amuse themselves.....they heard the Legion of Doom earlier proclaiming that they wanted a shot at the WWF Tag Team Championships....the Steiner's wanted a shot.....well the way Mankind sees it, is that the back of the line starts behind them....so he's putting the KLiQ and every other team in the WWF on notice......and you can all thank the Undertaker for every bit of your pain and suffering....because until he grows a backbone.....well.....Kane's bored.....and the devil makes work for idle hands.....have a nice day.

King of the Ring 1st Round Match

It's time for the main event of the evening and it features two of the more popular stars of the WWF, that's Bret Hart and his friend Brian Pillman. Bret is looking to repeat his success in the King of the Ring tournament of 1993, not just for the glory....but because victory means a shot at Shawn Michaels and the WWF Championship at July's In Your House event. Pillman is still showing signs of the beating he took at the hands of the KLiQ, who drove him through a wooden table while Steve Austin did nothing to help. Pillman avoided any high spots in this one in an effort to sell the fact that his back was suffering from the assault, with the two men trying to tell the story that while Bret wanted to win the match, he was reluctant to go for the injured back because of his and Brian's relationship.

Unfortunately the match did suffer slightly because of this and wasn't as well received as I'd hoped, but then having two faces in there against each other probably didn't help either. The ending of the match livened up the crowd though, because sick of Bret Hart taking it easy on him, Pillman delivered a series of back handed slaps, telling the Hitman to "stop treating me like a little p###y".....and the Hitman complied, finally trapping Pillman in the Sharpshooter, and with his back already in a delicate state, the Loose Cannon had little choice but to submit.

Winner: Bret Hart

The Hitman is known for holding onto that Sharpshooter for a few seconds longer than necessary at the end of his matches.....not tonight though, as he released the hold the second the bell rung, spinning round to check on the condition of Pillman. Brian shoves him away initially, obviously annoyed at himself for not picking up the victory, but he finally accepts a helping hand from the Hitman to lift him to his feet, before the two men embrace.......

http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Ringmaster_zpsgjinxsrb.jpg

.......which is when Steve Austin makes his way out onto the entrance. He has a microphone in his hand. He stops for a moment, taking in the scene in front of him, shaking his head. He tells Bret congratulations, he's one step closer to finding out that his victory last night was nothing but a damn fluke, because Steve Austin will prove without a shadow of a doubt, that he is THE greatest wrestler here in the WWF, when he wins both the King of the Ring tournament AND the WWF Championship one month later....he then turns his attention to Pillman.....

"Brian Pillman, you make me absolutely sick to my stomach.....you come out here week in, week out, and you preach that you're gonna bring the "real" Steve Austin out.....Steve Austin is just playing a character.....be true to yourself Steve.....you come out here....and you're nothing more than a damn hypocrite.....you walk around calling yourself the Loose Cannon....the Wild Card....the unpredictable......and the only damn thing you've done of any consequence around here, is get your ass whipped by the KLiQ and cosy up to the Hart Foundation....the Loose Cannon? Don't make me puke.....you're playing more of a character than I ever could, because the "Loose Cannon" went and got himself tamed.....so instead of worrying about who Steve Austin is.....maybe you should take a long look in the mirror....and ask yourself just who the hell Brian Pillman is.....because son, you ain't been the Loose Cannon in a long time."

Austin tells Bret to let the Bulldog know that his ass is Austin's if he gets by Hunter Hearst Helmsley next week, before tossing the mic and walking to the back, leaving the camera to zoom in on a close up shot of Brian Pillman with a very serious look on his face as the show closes on an uncharacteristically somber note.

It's been a hell of a busy week here, starting out with the news that little regional company Championship Wrestling USA was having serious money problems....this opened up a world of possibilities for me.....why you ask? Well thanks for asking, I'll tell you.....I'd been badging Vince for close to four months now about the possibility of opening a small development territory somewhere....something we can use to send some of the youngsters breaking into the business to give them regular experience in front of live crowds....while at the same time familiarising them with the WWF style of wrestling, instead of that rinky dink Indy style where no one sells a damn and a guy can take six chair shots without even falling down. Needless to say Vince wasn't keen on the idea....well I'll rephrase that....Vince WAS keen on the idea, just not on spending the money that it would cost to open. That's why the CWUSA deal was such a good one.....for 200 grand we were able to gain not only a development territory, but a development territory with TV exposure.....granted, only exposure in the north west, but exposure is exposure and it gives the youngsters a taste of what it's like to be performing for TV.

Needless to say, once the ink was dry I wasted no time in picking up one or two of the more promising prospects out there. Bret Hart suggested a couple of kids from Canada, they've been teaming as the Suicide Blondes and going by the names Sexton Hardcastle and Christian Cage respectively.....needless to say we'll be changing that to something a bit snappier, because both men put paper to development deals and now work for us. Likewise for another pair of future Light Heavyweights, Shane Helms and Billy Kidman. I'm hoping both of these will be stand outs for the division, but they both still have some learning to do.....and hopefully some characters to develop, because both men are a little bit bland right now.

Speaking of signings, we made a couple to bolster the main roster, a young kid that Vince is really hot on....personally I don't see the appeal myself, kid's got a damn hair style like the b#####d child of a pineapple and a poodle....but (to steal a line from Sunny) what Vince wants, Vince gets so hopefully this Rocky Maivia kid does something. (I don't have high hopes, stupid kid hasn't even been in so much as a dark match yet and he's already managed to p##s off a few of the boys by not shaking their hands when he got to the building....luckily Pat Patterson deals with that kind of thing, making the kid buy a round of drinks for everyone)

Speaking of kids, we signed Jerry Lawler's to a pay per appearance deal. I've heard mixed reactions about him so I was reluctant to offer a written deal, he'll slot nicely into the Light Heavyweight division though.....although we will have to think of a name for him, because Jerry isn't keen on everyone knowing that he has a son Brian's age. I like Jerry, but he has an unhealthy obsession with youth....both in his choice of life partners and in retaining his own.

Nothing of note to report from the competition, they continue to beat us in the ratings, despite rarely showcasing their biggest stars and despite the fact that we are constantly out performing them with our product.....the only real news was that Booker T, one half of the tag team Harlem Heat has a partial Achilles Tendon Rupture that's going to put him on the shelf for about two months, no word on what they have planned for his partner in the mean time....not that I'm too concerned, I have a tournament to book.

Al Snow and Sean Waltman had a great first round match this past Monday, their chemistry was just through the roof. I've been impressed with Waltman since splitting him from the Corporation, he hasn't had a bad performance. Speaking of impressive, Goldust has picked up right where he left off before his injury and has really carved a solid spot out for himself, with his stock rising so much since the beginning of the year I think I could easily put the WWF Title on him without the fans thinking I'd lost my mind.

I don't usually bother talking about our B Show, Superstars on here....mainly because very little happens, but with so many King of the Ring first round matches to get through, the viewers got a rare treat this week as.....

Faarooq gained a measure of revenge on Jeff Hardy for the Nation (C+)

Nelson Knight was less successful against Ahmed Johnson, who continues his battles with the NoD (C+)

And Nelson's partner Bobby Knight didn't fare any better against Savio Vega (C-)

Because of that, this makes for an interesting combination....and it helps that neither man is....lets say, in their prime....because it means no one has to struggle to keep up with the other. It was a decent back and forth match, with an old school flavour. Bret again calls Brian's name, but Pillman ignores him, instead he loads his bags into the trunk of his car. Hart again calls out to the Loose Cannon, Pillman however walks around to the drivers side of the car, gets in....and drives away without a word.....the show has barely started and Brian Pillman has left the building already, leaving Bret Hart standing alone and confused.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Rikishi_zpsdi6ijner.jpg</span> VS. <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Billy_zpswa5o3qyv.jpg</span></p><p> <strong>King of the Ring 1st Round Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> We may as well call tonight's show Monday Night King of the Ring....because 1st round matches are all we have tonight. This time round we have Son of Samoa member Rikishi, going up against former Smoking Gunn member Billy Gunn. Gunn has his executive consultant Mr. Perfect with him, but Perfect opts to join the commentary team, where he spends the majority of the match bigging up Billy, while running down Bart. </p><p> </p><p> These two have a pretty good match, with Billy showing off his athleticism and an effort to run circles round the big man......while Rikishi (being a big man) uses his superior size. The island boy was almost able to pick up a victory here, but at the last minute Mr. Perfect shot up from the commentary table, just in time to cause a distraction long enough for his client to regain his composure, hitting that Rocker Dropper that he has apparently dubbed the "Famouser" for the three count.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Billy Gunn</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Hendrix_zpsw5xcdjjf.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Matt%20Hardy_zps2lljlvzc.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Jeff%20Hardy_zpsfw88tl73.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> We head backstage, where Dok Hendrix is with the Hardy Boyz. He has his white coat and glasses on, with an envelope tucked under his arm.....he's also clearly still favouring the KLiQs vicious assault from last week, as he winces with each step around the ring. He talks for a few moments (between fits of giggles that make him clutch at his ribs) about the progress that Al Snow has made....how proud his is of the accomplishments he has made.....and how proud he is to call Al his friend....before asking the man himself to join him in the ring. Snow comes out and it's clear that his head is a much quieter place. Dr. Coe's methods may have been unorthodox but they seem to produce results.</p><p> </p><p> Al thanks his Doctor, telling him that for the first time in months he is actually able to sleep, without Avatar chattering away in his ear all night. Coe tells him that it was Snow that did the hard work and he was fully deserving of this (handing Al the envelope) which was his official certificate of sanity. Snow gratefully accepts the flimsy sheet of paper (that frankly looks like it's been designed by an 8 year old) and lofts it above his head like he just won the World Championship. </p><p> </p><p> Celebrations over with, Snow tells the Doctor that it's time to get down to business....he says that their professional relationship might be coming to an end but they still have things that need to be addressed....mainly the KLiQ.....because after what they did to them last week, Al's got revenge on his mind....he says he's going to speak to Gorilla Monsoon and request a match.....Sean Waltman and Justin Credible, against Al Snow and Dr. Simon Coe.....</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Monsoon_zps1s02s6qy.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> .....and it looks as though he won't have to wait long for an answer to that request, because Monsoon is here. He tells Al that before he places any more of his trust in the man stood beside him, he has some unfortunate news that he should really hear....</p><p> </p><p> "You see, being the President of the WWF comes with more responsibilities than just coming out here and granting matches.....I also have to meet with the Board of Directors to discuss the state of the company as a whole, any business matters and any unauthorised personnel that will be attending the shows.......which is when I got to speaking about YOU (pointing to the good Doctor) and what they told me about you.......was that they had absolutely no idea who you were.....they certainly didn't authorise or arrange your arrival here in the WWF as Mr. Snow's Doctor as you claim, nor do they.....or any medical practice that I have asked, have any record of you whatsoever......so Al, before you place anymore trust in this man as your tag team partner.....you should be asking him who he really is."</p><p> </p><p> Snow looks confused, asking his Doctor if this is true....but Coe just stands there. He looks crestfallen to have been found out.....well, half the time he looks crestfallen, the other half is still spent in fits of giggles that he seemingly can't control. He slaps himself to try and regain his composure, before regretfully informing Al that it is indeed true....he's not a Doctor.....he's not even called Simon....his name is Bill....Bill DeMott.....and he wasn't sent here by the WWF Board of Directors.....but he was sent here. Snow asks by who? But DeMott simply answers</p><p> </p><p> "Him.....he wants you Al.....he'll be here soon......"</p><p> </p><p> Snow asks who "he" is but DeMott has turned into a bag of nerves, scanning the crowd and the entrance way, his fits of giggles have turned into nervous laughter now, before he abruptly turns and runs from the ring, leaving both Al and Monsoon stood baffled, but not before telling Snow that....</p><p> </p><p> "......you'll see soon enough.....he's coming, he's coming for you....and I don't want to be here when he arrives....."</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Holly_zpsfn0veo6p.jpg</span> VS. <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Goldust_zps20awxhyl.jpg</span></p><p> <strong>King of the Ring 1st Round Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> It's time for the official in ring return for Goldust....and fittingly it's against the man that put him on the shelf in the first place, Bob Holly. Apparently Steve doesn't need anyone interviewing him. Unfortunately he's in there with a Steve Austin who apparently has something to prove. It's a pretty good match between these two, with Steiner very nearly picking up the victory following a big belly to belly suplex from the second rope.....unfortunately the ending was marred in controversy. With Steiner on the offence, the KLiQ make their appearance known after a (unusually) quiet showing by their standards. Helmsley, Sunny, Nash and Hall come walking down the aisle, their usually cocky selves. They surround the ring, drawing the attention of the official away from the fact that WWF Champion Shawn Michaels has just hopped over the guard rail......and nailed Rick Steiner square in the jaw with a hefty dose of Sweet Chin Music. Clearly the assault was more a case of getting under Scott's skin ahead of the Pay Per View, rather than actually attacking Rick. Either way Scott makes the save and the KLiQ....lead by Shawn Michaels....laugh all the way to the back, while Scotty stands over his brother, hurling threats and insults at the pack of wolves. Rick finally starts to stir and Scott walks over to the timekeeper, shouting at him loudly enough for the cameras to pick up to "gimme a f#####g mic" (which Vince apologises for, saying that emotions are clearly running high tonight) Steiner does indeed get handed a mic, and goes on to shout at the KLiQ that they have been getting on his nerves for months.....but now, they're really p#####g him off.....they stole the tag titles, they've attacked people all over the place....."and now, they wanna jump my brother just because he's my brother.....Shawn Michaels.....you think you're big and bad because you hide behind your friends, dancing around like some skinny little stripper.....well at King of the Ring, I'm gonna show you why even this vein in my arm is tougher than you, when I break you in half."</p><p> </p><p> Wonderful stuff there as always from Mr. Steiner, who throws the microphone down in rage, while Lawler remarks on commentary, that the KLiQ may have woken a sleeping beast.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Rey_zps1iwxhudi.jpg</span> VS. <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Sid_zps1pohqtnu.jpg</span></p><p> <strong>King of the Ring 1st Round Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> It's time for David vs. Goliath here, as Rey Mysterio has the unenviable task of facing off against the mammoth Psycho Sid. These two men already came to blows at last weeks In Your House event, where they brawled all the way to the back of the arena during the World Title match, so tensions are already high between them. This is a big test for Helmsley, because it's his first real televised main event performance (after repeatedly insisting that he was ready for it since the Royal Rumble) against a man, who while he was a certified main eventer, hadn't exactly been treated as such recently, playing more of a tag team role.....but with Owens recent Championship match and subsequent injury, the Bulldog has been left without a partner.</p><p> </p><p> On top of all that, these two just had awful timing together, nothing they did clicked, I don't know if it was nerves on Helmsley's part after finally getting the push he'd been asking for, or it was just a bad night for both of them, either way this was one of the worst main events of put on in some time, but given the number of King of the Ring matches there were to get through, a dip was inevitable.....luckily it was a good show so this match didn't bomb it.</p><p> </p><p> It also helped that the ending and subsequent post match shenanigans popped the crowd.....because with the Bulldog on the offence, Sean Waltman and Justin Credible made their way down the aisle....presumably to distract the official for Helmsley to pick up a tainted win.....well they succeeded in distracting the official.....they distracted him from the fact that Scott Steiner came diving over the crowd rail, much like Shawn Michaels earlier.....and absolutely destroy Helmsley with that same length of pipe he had earlier, nailing him in the back of the head, and giving Bulldog an easy three count.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> The British Bulldog</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/HHHKliq2_zpsn5ltccm1.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/SunnyKliq_zpsnlytrskn.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/WaltmanKliq_zpsplkqbets.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Crediblekliq_zps2cagnrfx.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/SSteiner_zpsxnleaaze.jpg</span></p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/HBKKliq_zpsphlcapai.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/DieselKliq_zpsebe1dqdn.jpg</span><span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/RazorKliq_zpsuigldmqk.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> As soon as the bell rings Steiner rolls into the ring and delivers another trifecta of hard Pipe shots to Helmsley, while Sunny looks on mortified. Seeing their stable mates in trouble, Michaels, Hall and Nash all come running out from the back but by the time they reach the ring Steiner had already bailed into the crowd out of harms way, where he stands six rows back screaming at the top of his lungs that "if you're gonna mess with my family, then I'm gonna take out all of yours."</p><p> </p><p> Michaels and Nash are incensed in the middle of the ring, throwing a major temper tantrum and shouting promises of pain and revenge, while Hall tends to the three other battered KLiQ members. The threats don't bother Steiner, who stands surrounded by an audience that's going wild, holding his pipe high in the air, telling Michaels that his ass AND his title belong to him, as the show goes off the air.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A*</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Final Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p>

<p>Despite the disappointing main event, this weeks show can be classed as a success.....which when you consider the fact that most of the major players (Bret, Owen, Shawn, Nash, Undertaker) either didn't wrestle....or even appear at all, is quite the surprise (maybe WCW does have the right idea after all by rarely showcasing their biggest stars.....although probably not). Hopefully that showing tonight will finally stop Helmsley from repeatedly telling anyone in earshot that he should be in the main event......because Hunter, right now, you're only a B+ player my friend. </p><p> </p><p> The backstage harmony continues, with Billy Gunn and Phineas Godwinn of all people striking up an unlikely friendship.....and new comer Bill DeMott has really fit in well, everyone says he's just a pleasure to be around.</p><p> </p><p> One person who's not a pleasure to be around is young Brian Lawler.....or Brian Christopher as we have christened him.....he's wrestled one dark match.....and he wrestled that out of his mind on something or other. I knew that Pay Per Appearance deal was a good idea. I fined him, he didn't care.....if it happens again he'll be gone, I'm not wasting time sending him to rehab, he's not that important to me....if he wants to go to rehab he can get his dear old Dad to pay for it, he's the reason that the kids a screw up after all.</p><p> </p><p> Speaking of Jerry "father of the year" Lawler....his commentary has really been dragging a lot of the segments and matches down. I was hoping he would improve, but so far I've been wrong. If he doesn't start making some headway then I might have to consider looking for another colour guy. I could break him in slowly on Superstars.....speaking of which.....</p><p> </p><p> There were two first round matches this week....</p><p> </p><p> Kama of the Nation was victorious against young Matt Hardy, making it back to back victories against this young team for the Nation, after Faarooq knocked out Jeff last week C-</p><p> </p><p> In the other match, Tatanka picked up a victory over the Texas Long Rider, Justin Bradshaw.....in a surprisingly good match B-</p><p> </p><p> Tatanka let me know after Superstars, that he thinks Matt Hardy has future star written all over him.....he may well be right, but I'm not going to push the kid to the moon on Tatanka's say so.</p><p> </p><p> On the opposite end of the spectrum, both Hawk and Animal came to me separately to tell me that Bob Holly stinks. They aren't the first to tell me this.....probably won't be the last.....I know Bob can come in useful somewhere though....I just need to work out where.</p><p> </p><p> Nothing exciting to report from the competition.....the excitement is all here folks, on Monday Night Raw.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong>Preview for Monday Night Raw, Week 2, June 1996</strong></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/2nd%20Round_zpsb43yatad.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> <strong>King of the Ring Second Round Match</strong></p><p> Bret Hart vs. Goldust</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>King of the Ring Second Round Match</strong></p><p> Ahmed Johnson vs. Faarooq</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>King of the Ring Second Round Match</strong></p><p> Marc Mero vs. Jeff Jarrett</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>King of the Ring Second Round Match</strong></p><p> Chris Jericho vs. Sean Waltman</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> The Hardy Boys vs The Harris Brothers</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> The Son's of Samoa vs The Texas Long Riders</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>
