Blackman
Mike Watson, after being involved in a sex scandal, got injured so I staged an interim fight that Smit won. In the following year, they developed a friendship where now they don't want to fight "under any circumstance". I guess an option is to treat it as two titles and have them fight till one of the loses, and then have the "undisputed" fight. I'd rather not strip a champion... ever. What would you guys do in this situation? (and no, I won't turn off the setting which would obviously disable the note) @judoku: Don't forget to add the "short term" attribute. Otherwise no way that it works. With the attribute it might just work.

reissy
I've played a ton of runs of this game and I've noticed there's no stomp / soccer kick knockouts - but why not? Fighters are often knocked down and then stomped / kicked but either get up, survive, or are finished by follow up ground and pound. Would have been nice to see a little variety in the way of finish there though, especially since we already have the attribute "Combat: Savage Stomps And Kicks"
Redwards34
Does anyone have a clue as to what controls whether or not a retired fighter is willing to found their own team? I understand the limitations of not being well known enough but many popular fighters tell me "I don't have any interest in leading my own team." Nothing is jumping out to me in the editor for why one fighter is willing and the other is not. Thanks!
Teldil
Hello, Two questions if I may. Is there any way for a company to have a weight division that uses the same weight as another already existing weight division in the same company? For example creating two separate Flyweight divisions with the same weight range, or have one division 'dip' into the range of another existing division? I'm looking for a way to separate my roster into more than one "group" even if they share weight range. My second question - is there a way to set specific fight rules for a specific PPV or even just one specific fight? or are the company rules global for all fights/events within a company? If so, how? I couldn't find how to do it. I want to have some specific fights or events with different rules than the ones the company normally uses. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers! Nothing is jumping out to me in the editor for why one fighter is willing and the other is not. Some of it is down to how successful they have been (i.e. a minimum reputation), some to stats, and a large proportion to their Destiny roll. Adam Ryland
Is there any way for a company to have a weight division that uses the same weight as another already existing weight division in the same company? No, there can't be overlap of weights. You use the Rules button at the bottom of each fight's match making screen.
thatpyrodude
For you guys who do long term saves on historical mods, how do you guys handle everyone having terrible records. Im in 2009 on a game that started in 1993. Feel like most fighters that I didnt pick up early have god awful records like 20-18, 15-12, 10-10 and so on, Just sign them early or have enough cans in the db. If they aren't there, then create them yourself. Either they get picked up by a small org alongside the other top fighters, or they get the big local shows where they get matched up with the other "big shots" anyway. If they get to the 8-0 point eventually you'll get UFC-level matchups where they might as well pick up the L. XP is an important modifier. Never played the actual mod, but I'm pretty sure a Rousey would get smashed by a Modafferi or Larosa if they pick up a large number of local bookings. So if you want to avoid that from happening in the local circuit, you'd basically have to replicate her buildup and keep her far away from veterans (despite the difference in skill level). Keep in mind that it's been covered in MMA media that trajectories like McGregor and Rousey are VERY unlikely. Sure, both are (were ) very talented, but to get the checkmarks of awesome marketability, awesome talent (in at least one aspect of MMA) and the feat of getting a 5-fight finishing streak against non-cans, is just not gonna happen often. In my recent GAMMA save, a lot of guys ended up with god-tier stats and after several years there just wasn't anyone left with a x-0 record. It just doesn't happen unless you resort to K-1 (or "Japanese")-style booking.

Daffanka
I think I've seen one or two across the five decades or so I've simulated in WMMA5. Even though I love them, they don't work in the game at all and bizarrely lead to more knockdowns being survived so I just outlaw them in every company. Blackman
Just wondering if there is anyway to simulate a kickboxing event, or perhaps just remove submissions from a bout? You can put in the "hates to roll" attribute in mass edit and they shouldn't take it to the ground. You know you can implement a "10-count" system. With that combo it will never hit the ground, hence no submissions.

It's irritating when fighters get suspended for post-match actions haha. </p><p> </p><p> I know an option is to move events to an area where MMA is still unregulated, but sooner or later, all regions will get regulated (I'm guessing?) and that makes it difficult to roleplay as my no-holds-barred MMA company.</p><p> </p><p> I've also tried turning off Suspensions in the Options menu, but that doesn't seem to affect suspensions that are related to post-match antics, like repeatedly punching someone in the face after the bell rings.</p>

You can see their attributes in the editor even after retirement. If they can still compete at the highest level attribute wise chances are they will come out of retirement. I got Jeff Carlton to come back at age 40 because his stats were still good. A lot of guys retire after a big decline, so they won’t come back.</p>

That will do the trick. Fortunately, because most retirement dates are too early, considering how things pan out in actual MMA.</p>
scuz
Is it possible to add CEOs and Commentators without doing it via the regular add fighter part of the mod which contains way to much information for these characters. Also is it possible to specify that free pictures are only for commentators and CEOs? Thanks

Also is it possible to specify that free pictures are only for commentators and CEOs? Thanks RE: free pictures, yeah. There's a section for "Acceptable Positions" in the Free Picture form where you set the picture to Fighter or Non-Fighter or both. As for adding them some other way, not as far as I know. It's the same form that you use for fighters, *but* any information that isn't relevant to them can be completely ignored or set to absolutely whatever, because it doesn't show up or make any difference in-game. If they're a Retired Fighter then it would matter if they came out of retirement, but if they're Not A Fighter then all that matters is what the game uses and what you see on their profile (which does include their height, but not even their weight is visible if I remember right) and any fighter skills can be 0 or 100 or anything and it makes no difference... I usually copy and edit existing Non Fighters for my own anxiety reasons, but there's no good reason to do that. Just set up all of the relevant stats and info and the rest can be ignored. scuz
Hello all, Wierd question I know... but is the game programmed to select French names for generated Canadian fighters? CCC opened up in Canada early in my game and a whole heap of fighters generated, just about all with French names. This seems strange because according to the editor Canadian names stem from the 'North American' tag. You can delete all the canadian names and add them back in yourself. I did that with the UK recently and added only the 200 most popular first and last names for each of the parts of the United Kingdom. I'm enjoying having only the most commonly found names for the British fighters. I'm planning on doing it for every country in my mod eventually.
