This is by far the best WMMA game yet in my opinion. What about you?

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to say that I'm enjoying this game a heck of a lot and it's finally replaced WMMA3 as the most played game in my entire PC game collection.

I wasn't a big fan of 4 as it didn't really engage me on the same level as 3 and the UI didn't really work for me, but number 5 surpasses them both in terms of fun, depth and of course the UI. There are a few things that I miss like the more intuitive fighter comparison screen from number 3, but then again I'm kinda getting used to the new one as time goes on.

What about you?

Is this the best version of the game that you've played?

Unquestionably. I've played this game most days since it was released, and my only complaint is that the Tags feature is pretty useless.

Game is super fast, and clean. Things just make sense. The fact that it's only had ten patches is amazing. I've not encountered a single bug or major thing I think should be changed. This is Adam's best programmed game ever.

I love this game so much. This game is not made by just a developer, it's made by a fan of the genre. Adam Ryland is a genius

Yeah it's really just endless fun. If I have nothing else to do, this is my go-to game, not as a time-waster (which is a term that is no longer a thing nowadays) but as a means to have fun in a sea of games that no longer provide that for me (with some exceptions obviously).

I think many would welcome both series being a yearly release. Maybe it's a hassle to go through a dev diary every year but why not? It's like Football Manager, that builds on a solid foundation and adds or reworks some stuff. If you don't think it's changed enough to warrant your purchase then wait a year. The core fans will buy it every year regardless. :D Those that spit on the process (fi: FIFA) are often the ones with hundreds of hours on their resumé who really aren't being "drained of their cash" like they claim. Talk about getting your money's worth... :p

I was just coming over here to say pretty much the same thing.</p><p> </p><p> I've played every version. Like you 3 was one of my most played games of all time, then 4 came out and while it was good, there was something really missing with it. It just didn't hit for me. Now there's 5. Wow. It has hit the sweet spot in so many areas. Easily better than 4. A worthy successor to 3. The best part is that there's still room to make it better, and make it better in fantastic, more immersive ways. </p><p> </p><p> As of right now though? Adam, you've done a tremendous job with this version. I love it. Thank you. Keep on improving this game. It's really, really good.</p>

<p>Still loving this game. I never thought I'd find a game that I liked better than WMMA3 but this is it. </p><p> </p><p>

I do a hell of a lot of video editing and this is what I play when I'm rendering stuff.<img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Still hoping that Adam makes another at some point. </p><p> </p><p>

I think this game has so much future potential also.</p>

Raised my expectations for TEW 2020. While I wouldn't be a fan of the yearly releases quality wise i would buy it for sure. In sure the update would be worth the money and I would support the development of the games, company and the developer. People need to remember that having quality games available is only possible if we support those who actually make them. Props to Adam and GDS.</p>

I only got this game last week, partly to help tide me over until TEW 2020 because my TEW 2016 saves were getting a little stale. There's basically nothing I don't like about it. If TEW 2020 is this good I'll never have to buy a game again. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>5 is unquestionably the most user-friendly and feature-rich. If I had to pick any of the series to play, it would be 5.</p><p> </p><p>

I think 3 was better in some respects, though. The main issue I have with 4 and 5 is that there is no challenge or balance to the game world. Everyone makes money no matter what (even with penalties turned on in 5). </p><p> </p><p>

The removal of competitive credibility after 3 took away a key balancing factor, and credibility/stability in 5 are pretty much meaningless. I also thought the AI was more aggressive in trying to sign fighters in 3, and the growth of fighter popularity was more in proportion to company popularity (which also affected the financial balance through higher costs).</p>

I love playing really long saves so my favourite thing about this game is how the regens feel almost as good as the hand crafted ones. I'm in Feb 2018 and the game still feels alive. This game is very good - I'm getting tempted to start some kinda best of the indies no one on exclusive contract lot of one night tournaments kinda promotion.

On some gaming website they asked what my favourite games were. I did not ask myself that question before, but thinking of what games I play the most and most consistently, among wonderful RPGs, interesting strategies, and all those fighting racing and shooting games, I realized that WMMA5 is actually my favourite.
