NOTBPW - A Game of Stones... (and DeColts)

Recommended Posts

'Magnificent' Gino Montero [vs] 'The Ace' Aaron Andrews

This could be a barn burner.

Well, I was right! Do I get any bonus points for that?

'Magnificent' Gino Montero [vs] Erik Strong 'Though'

Lol. Whatcha gonna do, Erik!?!

'The King of the Wasteland' Mutant w/ Aldous Blackfriar [vs] 'The Dark Shadow' Prometheus w/ POISON

I don't think either should take a loss in this scenario, so let's have chaos reign as the match is called a draw.

Jacob Jett & Seeker [vs] Coast To Coast Connection (Ross Henry & Lenny Brown) w/ Sayeed Ali

I'm on the fence here...can Jett overcome C2C AND Seeker to get the win?

Or is Seeker too much of a burden? I think he is.

'The Silent Threat' John Maverick [vs] 'Wild Man' Jack DeColt

If Maverick wins, even by DQ, we riot.

'The Iron Fist' Dan DaLay [vs] 'The Animal' Edd Stone w/ Tim Westybrook

Dan has been a better hand than I expected once Frosty left. He has acted very well as the aged veteran helping push stories and younger talent.

Primed For Progress (Christian Price & Cameron Vessey) [vs] Aaron Andrews & James Hernandez

It will be a fun pairing, and I expect the two heels to leave tall as they head into big matches at MSM.

The Montero train continues here. I love Erik Strong Though

'The King of the Wasteland' Mutant w/ Aldous Blackfriar [vs] 'The Dark Shadow' Prometheus w/ POISON

I just really like Prometheus here but it's a real 50/50 either way.

Jacob Jett & Seeker [vs] Coast To Coast Connection (Ross Henry & Lenny Brown) w/ Sayeed Ali

I don't think Jett and Seeker can work together here.

'The Silent Threat' John Maverick [vs] 'Wild Man' Jack DeColt

Jack is so good I rarely see him losing.

'The Iron Fist' Dan DaLay [vs] 'The Animal' Edd Stone w/ Tim Westybrook

Im hoping Stone gets the win here. He deserves some sort of big push at some point. I always liked his story of being the outcast of the Stone family. In your diary he comes back and makes amends which is amazing. It adds the lore of the whole thing, I love it.

Primed For Progress (Christian Price & Cameron Vessey) [vs] Aaron Andrews & James Hernandez

I think Hernandez and Andrews win based off of the fact that they're both bigger stars and story telling

Soon after that, Edd came off the top rope to deliver the 'Party's Over' Elbow Drop.</div><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-size:18px;"> 82 </span></div><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> Winner: </strong></div><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"> 'The Animal' Edd Stone w/ Tim Westybrook</div><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> Finish: </strong></div><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"> 'Party's Over' Elbow Drop</div><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> </div></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> </span></p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45312" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> Logan Walks On The Wildside </strong></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><img alt="DvMqiS9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/DvMqiS9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="YgbZl9s.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YgbZl9s.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Nx1U4Qa.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Nx1U4Qa.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="XP70MSR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/XP70MSR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Following the conclusion of the match, Dan DaLay was attacked by Logan DeColt, Owen Love and The Natural!!</div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The CanAm Blondes have taken Logan under their wing of late, and he lead them in a beat down of one of their Mid Summer Madness opponents!!</div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><img alt="IvyHiqr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IvyHiqr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> It didn't take long for Dan DaLay's son Robin to run out, attempting to make the save... The 'Second Generation Superstar' was in all kinds of trouble, but he somehow made the tag to Christian Price. Price came in like a bull in a china shop. <p>NOTBPW Television Title Match: </p><p>

'The Amazing' Jacob Jett [vs] 'Notorious' Sayeed Ali © [vs] <strong>Seeker</strong></p><p>

Comments: Hard to call as I can very much see the C2CC keeping the title on Ali. But I'd also imagine Jett & Seeker's feud got plenty of time to have propel at least one of them to something, so perhaps it's this.</p><p> </p><p>

Grudge Match: </p><p>

<strong>Dan DaLay, Robin DaLay & Sonny Wildside</strong> [vs] Logan DeColt & The CanAm Blondes</p><p>

Comments: I've been enjoying the DaLay's recently, CamAm blondes must also be getting mighty old so losing on the biggest stages seem more likely for them.</p><p> </p><p>

All Action Title Match: </p><p>

'Country Strong' KC Glenn © [vs]<strong> 'Supreme' Spencer Spade w/ Faith</strong></p><p>

Comments: I think Faith is going to start seeing some success. </p><p> </p><p>

Grudge Match: </p><p>

Comments: Cool to see Jr back in the ring but would be surprised if he's not here to put over Andrews.</p><p> </p><p>

Grudge Match: </p><p>

<strong>'Angry' Tom Gilmore</strong> [vs] 'Wild Man' Jack DeColt</p><p>

Comments: Gilmore can get his head straight and be a possible next contender for the Canadian Title. </p><p> </p><p>

NOTBPW Canadian Title Match: </p><p>

<p>NOTBPW Television Title Match:</p><p>

'The Amazing' Jacob Jett [vs] <strong>'Notorious' Sayeed Ali ©</strong> [vs] Seeker</p><p>

Comments: <em>I could see Jett or Seeker taking the belt to add more oomph to the feud, but there is already enough there as this is a blood rivalry now. </em></p><p><em>

So I think Ali retains and helps someone else in the next storyline while Seeker/Jett continues to a resolution elsewhere.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Grudge Match:</p><p>

Dan DaLay, Robin DaLay & Sonny Wildside [vs] <strong>Logan DeColt & The CanAm Blondes</strong></p><p>

Comments: <em>The Blondes are teaming with the protege of the DeColts, so I don't think they take the loss. Plus, the DaLays have never really had much momentum at all...</em></p><p> </p><p>

All Action Title Match:</p><p>

<strong>'Country Strong' KC Glenn ©</strong> [vs] 'Supreme' Spencer Spade w/ Faith</p><p>

Comments: <em>These are two studs getting after it. Build them well, and they can be the next Montero and Hernandez on the roster.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Grudge Match:</p><p>

'The Icon' Dan Stone Jr. [vs] <strong>'The Ace' Aaron Andrews</strong></p><p>

Comments: <em>I don't expect Stone to make a one-off appearance just to kill the momentum of a worker. He is no Undertaker.</em></p><p> </p><p>

NOTBPW Tag Team Title Match:</p><p>

<strong>Primed For Progress ©</strong> [vs] Iron and Stone [vs] POISON & Prometheus [vs] Mayhem</p><p>

Comments: <em>The belts just switched, so I don't think it would be a hotshot to someone else. But if so, Iron and Stone would be a great team to build the belts back up and have a ready-made feud with P4P.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Grudge Match:</p><p>

<strong>'The Outsider' Steve DeColt</strong> [vs] 'The Monster' Gargantuan w/ Floyd Goldworthy</p><p>

Comments: <em>He still is the figurehead, so you need him strong. Plus, with his eyes on Montero, you have a barnburner in his near future.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Grudge Match:</p><p>

<strong>'Angry' Tom Gilmore</strong> [vs] 'Wild Man' Jack DeColt</p><p>

Comments: <em>DeColt's don't lose, but I think Gilmore is a big enough name to take Jack down here. I'd love to see this program run for a bit longer and this be a DQ finish with Jack snapping (or Maverick helping Jack), but I think this might be where it ends.</em></p><p> </p><p>

NOTBPW Canadian Title Match:</p><p>

<strong>'Magnificent' Gino Montero ©</strong> [vs] 'Mainstream' James Hernandez</p><p>

Comments: <em>I love Montero, and he has been a revelation in his matches. </em></p><p><em>

This might be top 5 match for the company.</em></p><p> </p><p>

NOTBPW Television Title Match:

'The Amazing' Jacob Jett [vs] 'Notorious' Sayeed Ali © [vs] Seeker

Comments: With you splitting up WMW, and your general impression of "I need stars", Jacob Jett fits that bill. He has a ton of SQ, and Seeker definitely isn't it given how little he stood out on his own. This will be his coming out party.

Grudge Match:

Dan DaLay, Robin DaLay & Sonny Wildside [vs] Logan DeColt & The CanAm Blondes

Comments: Robin gets his revenge on Logan after just getting beaten up by his former friend after being betrayed... I hope?

All Action Title Match:

'Country Strong' KC Glenn © [vs] 'Supreme' Spencer Spade w/ Faith

Comments: Both are fantastic talents, but I feel like Spade continues to feel inferior within the group of Faith's clients and this adds to the fact.

Grudge Match:

'The Icon' Dan Stone Jr. [vs] 'The Ace' Aaron Andrews

Comments: In alternate universes, part timers do their part to put over the real talent.

NOTBPW Tag Team Title Match:

Primed For Progress © [vs] Iron and Stone [vs] POISON & Prometheus [vs] Mayhem

Comments: Going with the crapshoot. Iron and Stone aren't done with P4P, and a title change facilitates a continued mano y mano feud.

Grudge Match:

'The Outsider' Steve DeColt [vs] 'The Monster' Gargantuan w/ Floyd Goldworthy

Comments: Gargantuan is no way losing 2 straight, especially after getting a mouthpiece.

Grudge Match:

'Angry' Tom Gilmore [vs] 'Wild Man' Jack DeColt

Comments: Going to lean towards there being no chance of no DeColts winning on the biggest show of the year.

NOTBPW Canadian Title Match:

'Magnificent' Gino Montero © [vs] 'Mainstream' James Hernandez

Comments: Gino has done everything in his power to show he deserves the top title, so he keeps the strap for now.

Scratch that, I changed to the wild card pick. Mainstream Hernandez rule in full effect. My man has been quietly the most dominant guy in your whole division for over a year. He ran up against the brick wall of Gargantuan, but him winning would be huge because it 1) firmly establishes Mainstream, keeping him from being a top title choker and 2) gives you fiery babyface title chaser rather than a Kofi-esque defend against everyone and put on good matches but have no real storyline Gino.

Bonus:

1). Which Match will be the Match of the Night?: Gino/Hernandez

2). What will the Overall Rating of the show be?: 95, you will use all the fun stuff to boost the final overall. (within 5 is a point. Spot on is 2 points)

3). Who will interfere in the Gino Montero/James Hernandez Title Match?: Gargantuan. Man hasn't had his rematch with Gino, so I think Gino puts him down again to earn his rematch with Mainstream

NOTBPW Television Title Match:

'The Amazing' Jacob Jett [vs] 'Notorious' Sayeed Ali © [vs] Seeker

Comments: Honestly think the Jett and Seeker get too caught up with each other for one of them to actually win.

Grudge Match:

Dan DaLay, Robin DaLay & Sonny Wildside [vs] Logan DeColt & The CanAm Blondes

Comments: Neither side really has any momentum going forward so flip flopped between my picks (which usually results in getting it wrong) but settled on The DaLays and Wildside only because I think Wildside would be a potentially good challenger for the All Action Title or Television Title and needs a win or two before going for it.

All Action Title Match:

'Country Strong' KC Glenn © [vs] 'Supreme' Spencer Spade w/ Faith

Comments: My mind might be tricking me, but have we got a third member of Faith Enterprises yet? If not I think we will shortly as they'll interfere on Spades behalf to help him win.

Grudge Match:

'The Icon' Dan Stone Jr. [vs] 'The Ace' Aaron Andrews

Comments: Andrews is the present and future. Especially with his celebrity girlfriend

NOTBPW Tag Team Title Match:

Primed For Progress © [vs] Iron and Stone [vs] POISON & Prometheus [vs] Mayhem

Comments:As they've only just won I think the champs retain, maybe some Hot Stuff shenanigans to set them up as Number One Contenders

Grudge Match:

'The Outsider' Steve DeColt [vs] 'The Monster' Gargantuan w/ Floyd Goldworthy

Comments: Can't see Gargantuan falling again so soon, especially now he has a manager

Grudge Match:

'Angry' Tom Gilmore [vs] 'Wild Man' Jack DeColt

Comments: I'm not sure what Jack's direction is after this feud, so for that sole reason I'm giving it to Gilmore on the basis I know he will probably be having a match with Maverick I'm picking him. Maybe Maverick interferes.

NOTBPW Canadian Title Match:

'Magnificent' Gino Montero © [vs] 'Mainstream' James Hernandez

Comments: I could see this match getting 5 stars, could see the interference costing Gino the belt but it could be a swerve. See Below.

Bonus:

1). Which Match will be the Match of the Night?: Montero vs. Hernandez

2). What will the Overall Rating of the show be?: 96 (within 5 is a point. Spot on is 2 points)

3). Who will interfere in the Gino Montero/James Hernandez Title Match?: Aaron Andrews My third choice, Option 1: Spencer Spade - Based off the phone call he could have been plotting with Hernandez but I have him winning the All Action Title so discounted him. Option 2: Steve DeColt - Comes out adamant it was Gino who grabbed him and gets involved but I think he'll be too busy selling the Back Breaker from Gargantuan. So Option 3: Aaron Andrews - Him and Hernandez have a loose affiliation which could be broken in the quest for gold.

<strong>'The Amazing' Jacob Jett</strong> [vs] 'Notorious' Sayeed Ali © [vs] Seeker</p><p>

Comments: This is a great opening match with the C2C being there for Ali and making it possible 2 on 1 for both Jett and Seeker. Though if I'm honest with myself I see Jett getting this and having one more war with Seeker in the future.</p><p> </p><p>

Grudge Match:</p><p>

Dan DaLay, Robin DaLay & Sonny Wildside [vs] <strong>Logan DeColt & The CanAm Blondes</strong></p><p>

Comments: I so much wish Sonny wasn't in this match, I wish he was off getting gold. But after he lost the TV title hes been lost completely and that saddens me. The DaLay's as I've made it known, are my least favorite workers and even though Robin needs something, he needs to get off his dad's back and be his own man. Logan and CanAm have been on a great upswing and I'd hate to see them lose now.</p><p> </p><p>

All Action Title Match:</p><p>

<strong>'Country Strong' KC Glenn</strong> © [vs] 'Supreme' Spencer Spade w/ Faith</p><p>

Comments: It maybe me, but I don't find Spade nearly as exciting as his promos maybe. His matches have been subpar at best and mostly just beating local's and I honestly wonder if the segments hes in are good just as him but not with Faith. Glenn meanwhile is good as a All Action champ, though he has nothing going forward. I can see him win here and face El Fugero later and then a triple threat/handicap between these three. That would be fun.</p><p> </p><p>

Grudge Match:</p><p>

'The Icon' Dan Stone Jr. [vs] <strong>'The Ace' Aaron Andrews</strong></p><p>

Comments: Cool to see Danny back but no way hes beating Triple A. Either by clean or dirty interference by Edd *I can see this happening* Triple A's going forward.</p><p> </p><p>

NOTBPW Tag Team Title Match:</p><p>

<strong>Primed For Progress ©</strong> [vs] Iron and Stone [vs] POISON & Prometheus [vs] Mayhem</p><p>

Comments: Honestly kinda sad to not see The Ring Generals here. My personal preference being Mayhem has really slunk after Mutant's loss to Prometheus and I don't think that tag gold is ready for P&P... Yet. P4P holds on for now.</p><p> </p><p>

Grudge Match:</p><p>

'The Outsider' Steve DeColt [vs] <strong>'The Monster' Gargantuan w/ Floyd Goldworthy</strong></p><p>

Comments: The Monster is back and ready to destroy! Feed him all and none shall be spared!!</p><p> </p><p>

Grudge Match:</p><p>

'Angry' Tom Gilmore [vs] <strong>'Wild Man' Jack DeColt</strong></p><p>

Comments: A wildcard for me but I'd rather see Gino vs Jack. That will be a classic. Gilmore has for all intents and purposes seems lost. He shows up every now and then but rarely do I find his wins mean much. And soon hes gonna fight John Maverick so losing here won't hurt him.</p><p> </p><p>

NOTBPW Canadian Title Match:</p><p>

'Magnificent' Gino Montero © <strong>[vs]</strong> 'Mainstream' James Hernandez</p><p>

Comments: These two have been red hot. But they forget the man who lost the title. Gargantuan will interfere and wreck both of these men so neither lose the match. A downer of a ending to a fantastic match but neither man can really afford to lose here.</p><p> </p><p>

Bonus:</p><p>

1). Which Match will be the Match of the Night?: Gino/Hernandez</p><p>

2). What will the Overall Rating of the show be?:94</p><p>

We kicked off a historic Mid Summer Madness with Triple Threat action for the NOTBPW Television Title. Sayeed Ali loves a match with no rules, but he has a habit of surprising his opponents and the crowd by mixing things up. For the first few minutes, Ali was happy to let the heated rivalry of Jacob Jett and Seeker boil over in the ring, while he waited outside of it. He took the opportunity to set up his work space. Like a surgeon placing his tools out, 'Notorious' Sayeed Ali laid weapons around the ring and then grabbed Seeker by the leg and dragged him out under the bottom rope. Ali began to work his way through his chosen weapons: Kendo Stick, Baseball Bat, and then a powerbomb through a Table! Ali then turned his attention to Jacob Jett. The Kendo Stick was successful, but when Ali picked the Baseball Bat up, 'The Amazing' Jacob Jett was able to charge at Ali and hit a double dropkick. Ali hit hard against the ring post, and Jett hopped up to the top rope!! From the top turnbuckle, to the FLOOR, Jett delivered his 'Jett Take Off' Double Stomp, cracking Ali's ribs and driving all the wind out of the Television Champion's lungs! Seeker had recovered at this point, and he and Jett continued their fight. Their rivalry is full of hatred, and it showed with how hard they were hitting each other. For the finish, Seeker was attempting a superplex, and Ali managed to get back into the ring. Jett shoved Seeker backwards, and he landed ON Ali! Seeker fell out of the ring, but Ali landed in prime position for a second 'Jett Take Off', and this time, Jett stuck the landing so well, he fell effortlessly into the cover!

Winner:
and NEW NOTBPW Television Title Match: 'The Amazing' Jacob Jett

Finish:
'Jett Take Off' Stomp

Peter Michaels:
“Redemption for Jacob Jett Gentlemen!!”

Adrian Garcia:
“Yeah not only did he STOP Seeker from winning the NOTBPW Television Title, he actually won it for himself!!”

Tom Townsend:
“A great night for Jacob Jett, Garcia... It's been a rough three months since Seeker ended World's Most Wanted... But Jett got the ultimate revenge tonight!!”

Have Some Faith

MxvIUUg.jpgnj7nGHN.jpgXHsJIUA.jpg

Backstage, Faith was stood with her 'Faith Enterprises' clients: El Fuego and Spencer Spade... Who don't get along...

Faith:
“This is a big night for me... and a big night for Spencer... I know you two don't get along, and you don't have to... That's okay... But you WILL respect my decisions... and you WILL do as I say... If you don't... I'll simply replace you... I can add a new member any time I like...”

Faith claimed to have a queue of wrestlers at her door every week... So it wouldn't be hard to replace anyone who wants out...

And speaking of new members, Faith reminded her boys that she will be adding a third member by the time we get to Championship Wrestling this week...!!

The rules of this match stated that one member of each team was allowed in the ring at any one time, like a normal six man tag team match. But all six men chose not to follow those rules. At multiple times, all six of them were fighting, and the referee did a good job of regaining control. However, for the last few minutes it was chaos. Dan DaLay headbutted everyone in sight, and knocked The Natural clean out on the outside of the ring!! Robin DaLay was taken down by Owen Love's 'Love Gun' Sidewalk Slam in the ring, but Sonny Wildside broke the pin up!! Logan DeColt could only watch as Wildside delivered his 'Fear Factor' Moonsault Stomp to Love, but he was able to stop Wildside winning. It was Dan DaLay and Wildside versus Logan 2 on 1 at the finish. The two fan favourites surrounded Logan, as Robin DaLay even rose to his feet to make it 3 on 1! Then the most shocking thing that could happen, happened. Robin shoved Wildside HARD through the ropes!! Dan couldn't believe what his son had done!! But Robin smiled at him, as Logan kicked the veteran in the gut, and dropped him with the 'DeColt Driver'!!

Winners:
Logan DeColt & The CanAm Blondes

Finish:
'DeColt Driver' (Brainbuster)

Betrayal Of The Son

Owen Love and The Natural raised the hands of Robin DaLay and Logan DeColt, as the four stood over Dan DaLay!!

The CanAm Blondes looked as though they knew Robin was going to join them... Was it their plan all along...?!

Dan DaLay couldn't believe what he was looking up at... A single, solitary tear welled up in his left eye...

A good match between two of the youngest members of the NOTBPW roster. KC Glenn and Spencer Spade have very similar skill sets, but what perhaps sets them apart is the influence of Spade's manager: Faith. She was influential at two very important moments in this match. First, when KC Glenn had created space and was looking for his 'Tune Up The Sunshine Band' Brogue Kick, Faith hopped up onto the apron! Glenn was distracted, and even swiped at Faith, forcing her to jump down. Spade then took advantage, and gained some control. Glenn is an exceptional chain and mat wrestler though, and he was able to take Spade down again. But a collision of heads sent Spade flying backwards and the point of his elbow caught the referee above his eye. Faith came into her own again, when she climbed on the apron, and pointed at the stage. She then seemed to call someone out to the ring, and that man arrived!! Her other client: El Fuego ran to the ring. After an even fight, the masked Mexican hit a spinning kick to the back of Glenn's head. Glenn staggered forwards and was in the perfect position for Spade to hit his 'Supreme Stunner' finisher!

Finish:
'Supreme Stunner' (Blockbuster Stunner)

Has Faith Now

H7ZwOF1.pngMxvIUUg.jpgnj7nGHN.jpg

Spencer Spade had his hand raised by Faith, as El Fuego stood to the side... Spade and Fuego have never got on...

Fuego eliminated Spade from the Super Slam Battle Royale... when Spade thought they'd agreed to work together!!

Spade pointed at Fuego, and the masked star outstretched a hand for a handshake... but Spade didn't want a handshake...

Instead, he hugged El Fuego... and Faith seemed very happy about it!!

A short match, but a brutal one. Dan Stone Jr. is officially retired from in-ring competition, but at the age of just 45, he still has a lot in the tank. He's only fought in 9 matches in 3 years, so on one hand, he could be considered as 'fresh'. He could also be considered 'rusty', and as the match began it was certainly the former. Stone dominated 'Ace' in the early stages, throwing the young bad guy around the ring and using his size and power. But Andrews is crafty, and he soon hit a low chop block that looked like it twisted Dan's ankle. From that point onwards, Stone could barely walk around the ring, let alone hit any offence. For the finish, with Stone hobbling and finding it hard to get to his feet, Andrews put him down like a wounded animal. Ace put Stone out of his misery, by kicking his boss in the head. He landed in the cover, but you could have counted to a hundred!

81

Winner:
'The Ace' Aaron Andrews

Finish:
Kick To The Head!!

</div>

Peter Michaels:
“And that's that... Gentlemen, the crowd are silent... Stunned into silence...”

Adrian Garcia:
“I'm even stunned Michaels... I thought Stone would have put up more of a fight than that...”

Tom Townsend:
“He did for a while... But that ankle took a beating...”

Chaos ensued right from the start in this Fatal-4-Way Match for the NOTBPW Tag Team Titles. Primed For Progress have been in this kind of situation before, and triumphed against far more established duos. But tonight they had a different challenge. In fact, they had three LARGE different challenges. Tim Westybrook, Mutant and Prometheus are big, big men! They all used their power to gain an advantage for their team, but Westybrook and Mutant took it upon themselves to make sure Prometheus wasn't a threat. They took the giant God-like man to the stage, and threw him off it onto some backstage equipment!! POISON was furious, and took his anger out on Edd Stone and Aldous Blackfriar. But it was Cameron Vessey and Christian Price who took advantage of the in-fighting between the other three teams. Vessey delivered a brilliantly timed knee to the back of Mutant, and the big man stumbled into Westybrook, sending them both through the ropes. POISON took a 'Rock Bottom' from Edd Stone on the stage, leaving Stone and POISON down. Aldous was in the ring and he managed to take Vessey down. But he walked onto the 'Stud Stopper' Stunner from Price, and Primed For Progress retained!!

After the bell sounded, 'The Dark Shadow' rose from beside the stage... and POISON beckoned him closer...

'The Riddler' reached into his pocket, and pulled out a small bag of red dust... which he proceeded to blow into Prometheus's face!!

The big man let out a primal roar, and then barrelled into Edd Stone!! Before stomping to the ring, with POISON following...

Prometheus, fuelled by the red dust, made light work of Tim Westybrook Aldous Blackfriar... Before setting his eyes on Primed For Progress...

But Mutant was up... and he flew into Prometheus!! A huge brawl broke out between the two big men, as POISON was taken down by Vessey and Price!!

Peter Michaels:
“Oh my goodness gentlemen... Prometheus plus Red Dust equals devastation!!”

Adrian Garcia:
“Yeah but Mutant stood up to him Michaels... That's a fight I'd like to see happen again!!”

Tom Townsend:
“You know what... me too... Mutant versus Prometheus 1 on 1 would be EPIC!! I know we've had it once before, but lets do it again!! These referees and officials need to let them fight!!”

Floyd Goldworthy sent his client Gargantuan to the ring all fired up, but 'The Monster' was a little bit too fired up. As soon as the bell sounded to start the match, he flew at Steve DeColt but missed a spear in the corner, and was sent hurtling into the corner post. The big man didn't let it phase him though, and he was soon back on the attack. Gargantuan gained control of the match from then on, using his immense power, but he was still having a little trouble with the shoulder he crashed into the post with! Steve knew about the injury, but knowing about it was one thing, doing anything about it was another! 'The Outsider' has bags of experience in big matches though, and he dropped over the top rope to the floor while Gargantuan had a sleeper hold, and 'The Monster's' bad arm was draped over the top rope!! Steve saw his opening, and took Gargantuan down with a tackle. He transitioned into a side headlock, and then grabbed the arm. Steve locked in a Kimura, and screamed TAP over and over again! Gargantuan powered out of the vicious hold by picking Steve up and slamming him down, but 'The Monster' was hurt. As Gargantuan charged again, Steve DeColt used a drop-toe-hold, and the big man crashed off the bottom turnbuckle. Both men regained their composure, but Steve was able to unleash with his 'DeColt Stampede' finisher to the injured shoulder and it knocked Gargantuan flying backwards! Steve fell into the cover, and Gargantuan couldn't kick out!

Peter Michaels:
“I never thought I'd see the day gentlemen... Gargantuan went 27 plus months undefeated... and now he's lost TWO in a row!!”

Adrian Garcia:
“I can't believe it... Even bringing in Floyd Goldworthy hasn't helped... Two big matches, two defeats, and...”

Tom Townsend:
“Wait a minute guys... What's this now?!”

Furious Fan

For the second time this year, a FAN from the crowd got into the ring and grabbed Steve DeColt...

The fan had his face covered by a hood and bandanna... and he took Steve down with ease... But 'The Outsider' was ready for him!!

Steve managed to lock a deep headlock in, and then pull the bandanna and hood off... But the fan dropped to the floor and covered his face!!

He stood up and tried to flee, but Steve caught him with a 'DeColt Stampede' big boot and he flew across the ring!!

The camera tracked over to him, and revealed his identity!!

'THE SUPREME' SPENCER SPADE!! Without his newly won NOTBPW All Action Championship...

Steve DeColt was furious, but referees held the legend back as Spade fell out of the ring and staggered to the back...

Peter Michaels:
“Chaos!! Was it Spencer Spade all along?! Did he grab Steve DeColt in the Super Slam Rumble...?!”

Adrian Garcia:
“If he did, then he cost Steve not only the match, but also a shot at the NOTBPW Canadian Title!!”

Tom Townsend:
“Steve is going to FLIP!! The DeColts can be angry, vindictive men, and he'll be out for revenge on Spencer Spade... That kid only just got here!!”

Incredible match, and Match of the Night between these two 40+ year old veterans. Jack DeColt smashed into Tom Gilmore with a shoulder tackle to start the match, and walked around the ring with his arms outstretched as Gilmore pulled himself together. The usually 'Angry' Gilmore was unusually calm, and almost looked like he hadn't wrestled for years. The brawler Jack was cocky, and poked at Gilmore. He tested the Canadian veteran's resolve, trying to goad him into exploding. It didn't take long for this tactic to have the desired effect, because Gilmore came to life and delivered a brutal forearm to the face! It was a brawl from then on. Something that suited Jack more than it did Gilmore. 'The Wild Man' loves to get down and dirty, and use his fists. Gilmore held his own out there, and stayed in the fight. He was getting more and more 'Angry' as the match went on. He wasn't just goaded for a few minutes tonight, he's been goaded for weeks by Jack DeColt, and all of that aggression boiled over into this fight! For the finish, Jack decided he needed to resort to using a weapon, and he grabbed a chain from under the ring. Prior to this month, Jack hadn't used his trusty chain for years, but here it was, at Mid Summer Madness!! With Gilmore down and recovering in the corner, 'The Wild Man' began to wrap his fist in the chain, ready to deliver the knock out punch! The referee saw the chain though, and grabbed Jack by his huge bicep! Jack had to stop mid-flow, and was furious. The referee threw the chain, and it landed in the corner of the ring, so he went over to kick it out under the bottom rope. While his back was turned, Gilmore ran at Jack, and the crafty DeColt Brother used a thumb to the eye!! He then hit 'End Of Days' as the referee turned around, and pinned his veteran opponent!!

Chain Gang!

Jack DeColt was never going to be satisfied with just a victory tonight... He was out for blood...

'The Wild Man' glanced over to where the chain was before the referee kicked it out under the ropes... and he was furious that it wasn't there!!

He stomped over, reached down to the floor, and pulled the chain up again... Slowly wrapping it around his fist...

Tom Gilmore was regaining his composure in the corner, and Jack was begging him to turn around...

But...

7lmD5aZ.jpg

John Maverick's music hit, and the veteran 'Silent Threat' burst through the curtain and walked to the ring...

Maverick pointed at Jack DeColt as the place erupted!! 'The Wild Man' waited for Maverick to get IN the ring, before sliding OUT of it...

Peter Michaels:
“John Maverick just saved Tom Gilmore from a certain beatdown gentlemen...!”

Adrian Garcia:
“He was in real trouble there Michaels... Jack DeColt would have hit him with that chain and sent him into next week!”

Tom Townsend:
“Yeah and on that evidence this rivalry is FAR from over... The problem Gilmore has is that John Maverick's contract is about to expire... He won't have this kind of help much longer...”

Another truly epic encounter to end the show. Since becoming NOTBPW Canadian Champion, Gino Montero has competed in eight matches, and six of them have had a rating of 90 or above! His in-ring work has gone to that next level, and he's been able to put the NOTBPW roster on his back, and carry them to amazing shows! James Hernandez is another very watchable performer. He's been averaging the high 80s recently too, and he more than held his own in there against the exceptional Mexican. The first portion of the match was very even, with both men getting their fair share of offence in. James Hernandez took a lot of punishment, but he was able to deliver some too, not least a brutal knee strike that sent Gino back-pedalling into the ropes and eventually through them and to the floor outside! Gino was in trouble, and the announce team cited a potentially broken nose. But Hernandez didn't allow the cameras to see, nor the referee to check on the Champion. Instead, Hernandez sensed a weakness, and zeroed in on the Champ's face! He used nasty looking crossface shots and a vicious reverse chin-lock, which a lesser man would have tapped out to. But the 'Magnificent' Montero refused to give up. He was able to create a moment of separation following making it to the ropes to break the hold, and then delivered his roundhouse kick, which stunned 'Mr. Main Event'! This time Hernandez fell out of the ring, but he was lucky he did, because had he stayed inside, he may have been pinned by Gino! Then all of a sudden, a commotion began breaking out in the crowd, and 'The Supreme' Spencer Spade was shown attempting to once again invade the ring! The referee called for help from backstage to deal with Spade, and a few more referees headed out to the ring. On the other side of the ring though, this man arrived:

6UnHdBy.jpg

El Fuego! The masked Mexican who helped Spencer Spade win the All Action Championship earlier tonight climbed up onto the apron of the ring! Spade and Fuego are both members of the faction: Faith Enterprises, and they have never gotten along, until tonight. With no referee to stop him, Fuego delivered a move that should be very familiar to Gino Montero! The move made famous by his brother Luis Montero Jr.: a Flying Forearm! Gino was knocked out, and El Fuego stood over the fallen hero. Then to the shock of everyone in the arena, the masked luchador slowly began to remove his mask! El Fuego WAS Luis Montero Jr.!! And he just knocked out his own Brother!! James Hernandez was back in the ring now, and he looked stunned, as Luis made a quick exit before the referee could see what had unfolded!! Hernandez waited for his opponent Gino Montero to climb back to his feet using the ropes, and then unleashed with his unstoppable 'Apparition #14' Spear finisher!! And we had a new NOTBPW Canadian Champion!!

and NEW NOTBPW Canadian Champion: 'Mainstream' James Hernandez

Montero Screwed Montero

After the match, Spencer Spade broke his way into the ring, this time holding his All Action Championship Belt...

He joined El Fuego and James Hernandez, and the three men celebrated what was a successful night for them, as they stood over the fallen Gino Montero...

odmO5rb.jpg

It didn't take long for Faith to stroll to the ring with her arms outstretched... beaming from ear to ear...

Hernandez looked like he didn't know any of this was going to happen, and that he was just going along with it... Until Faith got in the ring...

'Mr. Main Event' walked right up to Faith, grabbed her by both cheeks, and kissed her!!

Everyone in the room were completely stunned by the actions of these four... particularly the announce team...

The show ended there, and Faith Enterprises held their two newly won Championships above their heads!!

Wow what an amazing show. I was going down the card reading every match and getting more and more excited, almost being refreshed on this dynasty. Probably my favorite event so far and it's because the overall show is something that I would seriously pay money for. Jett winning the TV title is awesome, the tag team titles and rematch between Prometheus and Mutant fighting each other again will be solid... Gargantuan losing 2 in a row is a huge shock to me as well, I was super surprised how bad he got wrecked lmao.. Spade/Herndandez winning the belt's and the huge Turn on Montero by his brother was the biggest shock of the night for me. I always wondered when you would debut his brother in the company, and him joining Faith Enterprises to screw over his own flesh and blood was a real cleaver way of doing it. Having James Hernandez is as your heavyweight champion is so freaking cool as well. I always liked booking him in 2005 in MAW and to see how far he's come in this Dynasty as an overall worker makes me so happy. Seriously an amazing dairy and probably my favorite one of all time. Im sure I told you this in PM before but your work is what got me into the C-Verse, so I really can't thank you enough. This dynasty is so amazing and this event put a huge shift in the company. I can't wait to see what the future stores.

What an awesome show man. I'm really excited to see Robin DaLay get a push as he was great for me as MAW and he has a lot of potential.

I love that Jett is champion, I never really enjoyed Ali as champion and Jett should be able to have great matches against anyone.

I seriously did not expect the twist in the main event. I saw Hernandez winning but not with his brother returning and costing him the title.

Everything turned out even better than I hoped it would. Congrats man

Color me shocked. Most of the show was great and awesome and exceeded my expectations for sure. But the main event is the one that truly blew my mind.

I recall a long while ago you released Luis because he wasn't as big as a star as Gino was at the time, and then I read about Luis Montero passing and I instantly thought it was Luis Jr! Not the father. So baring this in mind I was convinced El Fuego wasn't Luis Jr. To see this blew my mind out of the sea.

Also off topic, im impressed I got the rating right lol.

Incredibly awesome show. Those last 3 matches were why I love wrestling. Picked all three wrong but I could easily see <em>why</em> each guy won. Steve's win over Gargantuan was obviously to keep the DeColt brother going strong. Good win but man my guy Garg is on the downturn. The Wild Man winning was awesome as well. It's what my heart said but my mind went Angry Gilmore because of the story being told. Glad to see Jack got the win. I guess I forgot the name of the diary lol. And finally, Hernandez claims a prize he seemed destined to win way back when this diary first began. I would rather it be the Ace as the heel champ (curious to see where he goes from here) but the new heel faction should be something nice for Gino to move through. Again, great show.
