Rockverse (Release)

My best RV show yet!

<img alt="lpewAiY.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/lpewAiY.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Three (A) shows to go until Full Throttle. At first I thought it would be a chore to get through two 'A' shows a week without a brand split, but it's been going decently well. A call-up or two after Global Showcase and the addition of Billy Ray Doobie/Drake Riggs gives me plenty of talent to do eight A shows a month.

I got Riggs, but had to give him: hiring veto, never lower than upper midcarder, events and A tv shows, all for six years. No creative control though, which is good because that's where I pretty much draw the line.

EDIT: Another good show! Great week!

Also, Big Sexy just beat Isaac Execution for the US Title in the main event of Capital Combat. AACW gonna AACW.

Really enjoy seeing people's shows and what is happening in their Rockverse saves, especially Miz as I am also playing as GEW. Have finally managed to book up to the Majestic Melee PPV:

<img alt="YhJZC65.png?1" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YhJZC65.png?1" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

My main TV shows have been grading between high B's and Low B+ so I was really delighted with the result of this show. As Jimmy Hustle was injured at the start of the game I went with SoulTaker as the challenger to Chris Millennium at the PPV. I had Hustle win the Melee as Hustle/Millennium makes most sense as the Main Event of Global Showcase. Although I am not quite sure what is going to be the Main Event of the February PPV.

Dylan Jude and the Board of Directors have been a big part of the shows going up against both Millennium and Hustle. His presence continues to loom over the title picture but he will have a small program with Juggernaut coming up. I know Juggernaut doesn't start out as a member of the Board of Directors but I have had it that he has always been their hired muscle. During the month Blueblood and Jude have become frustrated that Juggernaut keeps letting them down. Dylan Jude lost a match with Jimmy Hustle where the loser must enter the Melee at number 1. At the PPV, Blueblood informs Juggernaut he will enter at number 2 and must do everything he can to protect Jude and ensure he wins the Melee. They make it to the final three competitors along with Jimmy Hustle. Jude sets a new record time in the Melee, while Juggernaut sets a new record for eliminations. Jude screams for Juggernaut to eliminate Hustle but he eliminates Jude instead before Hustle eliminates Juggernaut. This will set up a small program between the two as The Board of Directors turn on Juggernaut and will see new muscle being hired.

I'll probably get it booked and start the Road To Global Showcase soon.

First of all, I love seeing what you guys have going on in your game world! All the shows you guys have booked look great so far!

Has anyone tried a PGA game yet? Trying to figure out best way to book the Pete Knox tournament.

So the PK Invitational was designed to be booked similar to a G1. Of course you don't have to go that route but the events are set up that way.

Basically my intention was to have 4 blocks of wrestlers that will wrestler each other in round robin format. 2 pts for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. The two wrestlers with the most points from each block will move onto an 8 man single elimination tournament to declare a winner.

Block matches are set up to take place on Fridays in March. Half of the quarter finals and the first semi-final match is meant to be held in week 2 of April and the second half of the quarters and semi-final 2 in week 3. Then the finale is a bigger special held in week 4 of April.

Started a Local to Global gameplay earlier today and just finished my first show. It definitely could have been better, but I got the popularity increase all the same. Some of my group of misfits aren't receiving the best ratings-even for a local promotion-but I plan to build these bad boys up. I think that's where the real fun is; making stars out of these unknowns.

I have big plans for this save and like the talents I've signed. A nice mix of quirky, weird and realistic gimmicks to keep things entertaining for me. I particularly can't wait to have religious freaks Chris Moxley and Orcus clash at some point. I have some creative ideas for that feud.

Orcus' smash-mouth approach to converting people to his teachings vs Moxley's manipulation and mind games should make for a fun one to write.

That's a long ways off though. I want a few feuds under their belts and higher popularity.(Hopefully I'll have them locked down by then if all goes well in building them. I'd hate to make them stars and they get poached lol)

Presenting Freaky Fight Club: Cupid Must Die!

<img alt="jPoxtsz.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/jPoxtsz.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

We started off just like last time with a promo from our Matron of Mayhem, Grandma Ruth declares that tonight we'll have two matches for FFC's titles: The Shiny Cup and the Two Shiny Cups! She has chosen the competitors from each match from who impressed her last month and the main would see another four-way under sudden undeath rules featuring Albert Lee Panzram, Mr. Mosca, FrankenLucha, and Black Death (the latter having gained his spot by not accepting defeat and beating the everloving crap out of Lucha after their match). Furthermore she announced that next month as part of their Global Showcase Weekend show there will be the first ever ClusterF$#%Alypse match! What is a ClusterF$#%Alypse? Who knows, but it's gonna happen and it'll feature the biggest bunch of freaks and weirdos in the entire wrestling industry! She then used a can of Pam cooking spray to fireball a ringside attendant, cackled, and ran off. Quite spry of an old lady, that one.

The opening contest was once again a hardcore bout featuring El Chupacabra, this time against Chuckles the Clown but he found no better chance against the big man than he did against the other suspected serial killer last month when Chuckles put him away with the Tastes Like Children. However, post match the monolithic Troll came out and made the clown back off from some post match punishment of the fallen Cryptid before pulling Cabra up off the canvas and having words with him. Apparently ancient Norse translates well into Spanish because there was an understanding between the two before they both left.

Chuckles didn't stay away for long however as he inserted himself into the clash between Cammy Capone and Tulip, ensuring that his fellow clown achieved victory when he sprayed Cammy with a bottle of seltzer water behind the ref's back which allowed Tulip to hit the Here Comes The Punchline for the pin and the win to make the clowns 2-0 for the night.

We then headed backstage for some short promos from our four championship competitors for the night:

Mr. Mosca buzzed a bunch.

Black Death snarled and bit the air along to a rap beat.

Albert Lee Panzram cut a disturbing promo the nature of life and death and how he will rectify the great mistake of FrankenLucha and Black Death rising from their graves before giving a laugh and remarking it'll be so easy to tear the wings off that fly.

Then came FrankenLucha who gave their promo entirely in Spanish:

"¿Dónde estoy? ¿Qué es este lugar? Estoy en el cuerpo de un hombre, pero soy una mujer, te lo aseguro. ¿Quieren que luche? Estoy muy confundido. Ese hombre es una mosca, ese otro hombre está muerto, y el otro hombre, creo, es un caníbal. Ayudame por favor"

Hell if we know what it meant, we're in Ohio, people here barely speak English...

But then back at ringside another promo by Skullmageddon and Skullsy was interrupted rudely by strange electrical sounds from the ring entrance before it was revealed to be the entrance of...

DARK SHOCKER!

The malevolent masked madman introduced himself as the arch rival in villainy of Skullmageddon in their home timeline, where no matter how much he attempted to outdo Skull, he would always find a more devilish way to defeat the heroes of the wrestling ring! Even total victory was not enough for undisputed overlord of all Evil, as Skullmageddon had to hop to a different dimension in order to do it again! But Dark Shocker would not allow this insult to go unanswered, and so followed him here where he found his own doppelganger...

LORD SHOCKER!

The two only slightly different devils stood together and reveled in the chants of 'This is Shocking!' from the crowd. Lord Shocker revealed that when his duplicate came to him with his tale of woe it became clear that the two needed to exact revenge and now they will take FFC by storm and eliminate Skullmageddon's memory from both timelines because they are exact copies who will always triumph...because Skullsy is a F#$%ing Loser.

Skullmageddon, angered beyond belief, challenged them to a match right then and there but only managed to prove their point as the two villains managed to outmatch the Bonechillers and defeat Skullsy with an assisted Shocker Splash (which definitely wasn't just Dark Shocker pushing Lord Shocker as he went down for the regular Shocker Splash). How will the Bone Bros. come back from this SHOCKING turn of SHOCKING events!? ...SHOCKING!

Next up the two tag teams that won last month met up for a title match as The Classic Combination (freed from the shackles of their Time Ellis Island Names, now known as Alberto Ruffentumble and Fisty Cuffs) squared off against the Abominabelles! The two grapplers from the turn of the century were unsure of facing two women in a sporting contest but their attitudes changed when Abominatrix went after them with her machete. The match was a wild affair with the crazed brawling style of the Belles clashing with the old-timey antics of the Combo, but ultimately the latter prevailed to claim the Two Shiny Cups when Cuffs dodged a machete swing from Abominatrix and brought her up for an airplane spin with his partner in range, causing Alberto to dodge a swing from her on each revolution! Then the dizzy woman was put down and brought into part two of the Devil's Whirlygig with Ruffentumble's Giant Swing with Abominatrix swiping at Cuffs' legs on each swing until she finally passed out from the dizziness and took the pin!

Backstage the Banality of Evil schemed sedately about how they could get the Cups off of The Combo, with Smith muttering that perhaps Time Travel could get them out of the same mess it got them in...

Finally the time came for the main event and nobody in it disappointed...except for Panzram who wrestled the match completely drnk off his ass and quickly fell behind in the pace set by the other three and was eventually given a shoot chokeslam by Black Death to keep him out of the match which ended with Black Death getting sprayed by La Gran Pestilencia by Mr. Mosca, who tried to finish him off but was caught with a Monster Bomb by FrankenLucha who pinned him to claim the Shiny Cup that definitely wasn't supposed to be theirs' last month and management forgot to make the match officially for a title, no sir.

Post-match Black Death went to take out Frank again but the other Undead Colossus found unlikely allies when Troll and El Chupacabra stormed the ring to his defense! Black Death was a brute but he wasn't stupid, backing off while glaring daggers at the newly formed faction of Monster Mash to finish off the show.

Sadly Panzram officially became more trouble than he was worth and had to be released and the guy hates me now so uhm...I'll be locking the doors at stately Chewbacca manor.

Minor issue - Exotica Muerta isn't available in Mexico.

So I was super busy with school holidays and haven't looked at this much till today and thought I'd start up a fed in Mexico just for a laugh using the Mexico Border Wars moniker as Fantasma Azul and hiring a bunch of the FA's just to see how they play out.

I've made offers to 5 FDL trios (the 5 teams that aren't the roided up guys), SIN, Club Exotico and tweaked the Devils Playthings and those loveable Germans to be available in Mexico because I'm all about the Trios. Also offered deals to a lot of FA's because who cares if I go broke I'm playing for the fun of seeing these guys go against each other - Ayden Reid (who I tweaked for Mexico), Amaru Guerrero, Chris Moxley, Donte Darling, Dr Funkenstein, El Chupacabra, Elektra, Illusionista, James Smith, John Smith Auditor, Kennedy Prescott, La Mascara Roja, Mr Mosca, Simba the Tribal Warrior plus Gold Lion (because of the render) and Noah Lopez.

Lucha Ref, Carlos Araya, Miguel Cortes as staff and Piper Hearn from (FDL (Had to tweak her but figured she should be available for Mexico eventually as she's surrounded by Luchadores and I wanted a female on Colour)

Settings

2 v 2 30

I started a AACW game after getting burned out only 3 shows in with AWO because theere isn't many options for workers and Wellman got caught on drugs the first night and nearly injured Scotty in a tag match, luckily I had him powrbombed of the stage by Warlord only got a 79 though this could be a fun playthrough.

Wow, this just happened in my watcher game.

http://fs1.directupload.net/images/180718/vf2yap8u.jpg

She is working for NHEW. For the first time a company could beat GEW for the Award Company of the Year and it was NHEW. Six of their Main Eventers are women.

Fun Fact: Female Wrestler of the Year became Carmen, who is also working for NHEW.

Shane Wellmann and Da Badd Guy are still alive, but Wellmann is in recovery from an overdose.

AACW is strange to give the 58 year old Bruiser Boyd the AACW US Title.

So instead of booking AACW in a long save I decided to do a month on every company and it's great they all feel different despite some being really similar great stuff although I did not book PWU as they go against everything I believe is real wrestling just spots. It made me sick to sign the Next Big Thing to GEW's prestigious cruiserweights division but they have only jobbed so far.

Who does everyone use as their user characters? I normally go with a booker/owner (Gage Cotrell, Oliver Brown, and Branson Blueblood have been mine) but I'm thinking AOA is ripe for a buy-out. Willy Sorken seems like he'd be a pretty obvious choice, but maybe DeAndre 9999.99? Of course, I hear BCG just hit Cult in willr0ck's latest save...

EDIT: I just noticed in my watcher that Evan Mysterious signed with GEW in September 2017, despite his loyalty to AOA. I had tried before out of curiosity to offer 'Wildfire' Chris James a 10-year, $125K deal with the same signing bonus and all the extras and he wouldn't even listen. So, if I as GEW couldn't sign a loyal guy from a small company, how did GEW sign a loyal guy from a Cult company?

Looking at the "Astronomical Advantage" lineage, and I noticed that it doesn't seem like that big an advantage at all! In fact, the winner of the match as only successfully cashed in exactly 50% on the time (5/10, as Jude is still holding as the 11th winner). Also, strangely, Soultaker appears to have won it in 2008, while he was three months into his championship run!

Also, is the Majestic Melee not meant to decide a title challenger at Global Showcase? Damon Diggs won it in 2014 but Gabe Godfrey won the GHWT title from Hustle at GS and JJ Champion (who held the IC title at the time) won it in 2015, only to have Chris Millenium walk away with the win over Hustle again at GS.

Not sure if these stats and situations are intentional, but I found it interesting.

So I started up a new GEW save with the latest data and followed the suggestion of canning Jimmy Hustle after his "incident." I did, however, remove the loyalty from 'Wildfire' Chris James so I could sign him (gave him a much bigger deal than suggested, to simulate "buying" his loyalty) and push him as a top face.

I posted about this awhile back in the thread but title histories are not complete. Some are just thrown together as placeholders. That's why you'll see some 5 year title reigns etc. I despise doing the title histories to the point where I will sit down to try and knock them out and get irritated and stop. I might not ever go back and redo everything tbh b/c I genuinely hate doing it. But if I do you will see in an update where they have been corrected.

I started a fed in Northern Mexico for fun with Fantasma Azul

I hear he is pretty mysterious.

Small thing I'm confused about: Danny Gill is a 'positive influence' but his first narrative talks about how it's ok to beat up mentally disable people? Not sure why he is coming up as a positive influence. He is the RV version of Jim Cornette. (credit to WYSmooth on that one, he came up with the character)

Hey, it's my game.

Here's my first Mayhem, which was booked knowing I was gonna can Hustle the next day...

Also, this happened on day two of the save...

Looks like Hustle wasn't wanting to take an L there but hey, he is probably AACW's problem now. And Branson Blueblood forming a clique, who would have thought?

Chris James is a great signing. I made him loyal pretty much so he could lead ECP to prominence.

Good riddance.

I'm looking forward to building up Chris James. He's one of my personal projects this save.

He is the total package..

@willrock: Maybe I just missed it, but could you possibly post your blank background for the Worker Pics?
