Clicking buttons in weird order, typing weird symbols in fields that shouldn’t get them, submitting information with several fields blank, etc. We’re about to test a new app at work that’s “complete,” but it’s not anywhere near ready to be in the hands of actual users. I’ve got a document that’s around 5 pages long of stuff that needs to be tested on several phone brands, OS versions, etc. that will take us about two weeks to complete. I can almost guarantee that something will still be wrong the second it’s released to customers.

Yeah, sorry. That's exactly how dumb it is. I just went bare bones with it because it was like "oh yeah, I totally get you, here's how I felt about it", rather than an actual explanation of how grinding the process is. I apologize for downplaying the boredom you have doing it.

I’m also curious about the new playable areas. How India is going to be implemented, and how it evolves will be something cool to see over the course of a save. I wonder if we’re going to get a couple of small or local companies, or if one company will have a leg up, and all the others are chasing them. I’m also curious if different product types will be more or less effective in different markets.

With India, if Adam plays it up like IRL with just a few twists, small are probably as big as they get. IRL the India wrestling scene only really started in 2015 and of the 8-10 local/small companies that began, in IRL 2020 only 2 are left.

For the TEWverse (as Cornell is no longer the driving force), India's scene probably came into being in 2016 and we're either got 2 left or all 8/10 are left and none of them are in a good place financially.

The problems for India is that it has no homegrown fanbase (USPW fans, sure) or dedicated wrestling style (maybe a stiff brawling style thanks to Singh), talent pool will be small, you will likely clash with your other feds regularly over homegrown talent and a problem in a few years is that you will have is everyone from outside India will be wanting into India because of the population size and that sweet sweet rupee.

However, I think though that India will end up being a good place for a beginner to start up a game. The India market will be yours to mold, money will be easy to come by, the population size will allow the talent pool to fill up quickly, if you can get ahead of your opponents you'll likely stay ahead and if you can get up in size quickly enough you can beat away the invaders.

I'm honestly leaning more and more to starting up in India. Just from my own thought process, not even seeing what Adam has done. I'm sure whatever Adam's got is probably better than my thought process. Though if what I've thought of is what he did, that's still awesome.

2020 is going to be fun. India is ripe for creating whatever you want, Canada, Mexico and Europe are better fleshed out region wise, if the tidal wave in 2016 still happens and BHOTWG's scandal occurs Japan is likely going to be very different from 2016. This is going to be a LOT of fun.

I can’t wait to see how the new push system works in tactics. I always felt like the current push system was cumbersome, and I’d like to see what the new system is like when I don’t get upset workers that want to skip straight from Opener to Upper Midcard after one night in the ring.

Yeah that's something I'm interested in as well. I don't mind the odd worker doing that, but it needs to be an exception rather than the rule.

Going to make making stars harder for me, as I admit, I abused that, but I'm okay with that. Having a better simulation is the more fun experience to me.

Here is Puerto Rico we have been quarantined for 5 days with 10 more to go. Only supermarkets, pharmacies, hospitals, doctor's offices (with a bunch of control rules) and restaurants that have carry out, drive thru or delivery are open. All sporting and entertainment events have been cancelled. Most people are not working, unless they work in any of the places above or at a pharmaceutical or biomedical factory, are national security (cops, coast guard, national guard, air force, military in general) or high-ranking government officials. Yes, Walgreens and Wal-Mart are open, but only allow a limited capacity and any area that is not related to food, medical supplies or emergency gear is cut off. So you can walk by all the cool Nintendo Switch games, but they won't sell them to you. At least you could walk by it the day I went, I have heard they have cordoned off most of the store now.

As is everywhere, toilet paper, hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes are out. I stumbled a small 4-roll package of Angel Soft and purchased it just in case since the larger packs or the better known brands like Charmin are out.

So yes, this sucks, its boring and I hate not going out, but I understand why it is done. Hopefully things get better before my supplies run out. I really don't want to be elbow to elbow with strangers fighting for canned beans.

Now as far as the game goes, it would have been awesome to have it now. But there's like 1000 things it would have been awesome to have now. Like a vaccine for this thing. So let's not complain too hard. We are healthy and alive, that's all that really matters.

Oh god this reminds me of the ridiculous debate where we couldn't get narratives to include accurate historical wrestler deaths because it wasn't "fun" and was "too dark". And we actually still don't have them.

Don't want to start this debate again, but logic would dictate that:

1. Several people will not want this so you'll need two versions of your mod at all times, which is a pain. People don't want to "mod" this out themselves as they just want to play the game.

2. Fun fact: most people here are wrestling fans and pretty much know when workers died, causing them to either job them out before it happens, do the exact opposite to honor them or plainly not hire them. If it's a modders' touch, you might as well create a scenario set in a future where someone died. No one wants a mod where set workers are programmed to die as the general player base has no need for it. If you want to, you can simply edit Farrah Hesketh in CV97, for instance, and make her a non-wrestler later to try to mirror realism. But I guarantee you most will just want to play this mod for a "what if" experience. But replaying history is pretty much impossible as you are not exactly alone to shape the world and can only "nudge" certain things.

You can discuss it from a moral standpoint but it all doesn't matter. Gameplay-wise, it's a fact that it adds so little you should devote your modding time to other narratives that literaly "add" things to the game instead of removing them.

Aside from that, adding pandemics would be downright moronic at this point in time. Again: adds little new to the game, needs extra lines of code and just provides a negative gameplay experience. So many suggestions here on this board to remove certain features to make their gaming experience less tedious, and you would add this? Makes no sense at all. A mod in WMMA added a Tsunami after the IRL event, but it merely results in an economic disaster, so you might as well call it what it is ("Wall street crash").

Random thing I just read in the 2020 announcement thread that made me realize why my DBZ mod wouldn't work when I had narratives for the first day in 2016.

Narratives are now allowed to take place on the day the game starts, meaning that mod makers can populate the opening website with welcome messages, special events, etc.

Happy this is being rectified in 2020.

Kind of like having a random event where half your roster dies unexpectedly.

Wish I knew how to post gifs. It'd totally post that meme of Morgan Freeman pointing up saying "He's right you know"

Because homeslice isn't wrong!

Lets not forget that 2016 had the plane crash cheat. I thought it was a neat addition but It's basically the same thing.

I'm looking forward to playing as child companies because NXT books so horrendously in my save.

Also, a question because I didn't remember seeing it in the journal. Are we able to set up a brand split as a child company?

Since I plan on trying to replicate as much as possible from my current save onto a 2020 database, I'm debating about whether I want to "rebook" NXT's title histories, or "transfer them over" as is.

With the game coming out so soon, I have to say that I really thought the handling of the announcement of TEW 2020 and the hype for TEW 2020 were letdowns. I am obviously going to buy the game at the zero hour, but TEW 2020 has been a thing since December 2018. The developer's journal, where most of the features were announced ended, in July 2019, and we have sporadically been getting minor updates and minor features since then. It's hard to be outrageously excited about the game when you're waiting so long.

What's with the negativity? Just seems weird.
