Another quick question to Adam

Under scouting you said there was a pro mode where you never see an exact stat, but you weren't sure if you were keeping it in. Was wondering if it made the final cut or not as I liked the sound of it

Also I asked before but will AI companies now look to make TV shows longer as they grow? So a small company with a 1 hour TV show could end up making the same show 2 hours if they become big?

Cheers

It's hard to believe I know, but WWE's position in the wrestling world allows them to offer contracts so heavily weighted in their favour.

Most employers in the United States (depending on the state) are 'at-will employment' unless you have some type of contract specifically stating otherwise. They can let you go without cause at any point and there is nothing an employee can do about it. The fact they get 90 days notice and a pro-rated portion of their contract for those 90 days, is above and beyond most employers.

I can walk out of my job right now if I wanted to with ALMOST zero repercussions. The only downside is the fact that if I put them on my resume & the future employer decides to contact my previous company (which is unlikely) that could effect my future employment. Only because I didn't put in my two week notice, that's optional though really.

Just a bunch of scummy people in fancy suits.

I don't think it's fair to demonize any wrestling company for the way their contracts work. If you do that, you should also demonize basically every entertainment company out there. Record labels sign people to multi-album deals and then cut them if things don't work out. All major sports franchises "lock down" their players for years at a time and then cut them when necessary. Soap operas can hire someone for 20 years and then suddenly let them go without warning. Almost all major television shows sign people on all the time to multi-year deals but then kill off their characters and abruptly end the contact. I think anyone who is wanting to specifically fault WWE for this is doing so just because they personally don't care for the company. In reality, hiring and firing people is just business as usual. I see it as decisions being made on a case by case basis, objectively looking at what a specific talent/employee brings to the current environment. You likely see Vince McMahon just angrily sitting at a desk, screaming "CURT HAWKINS?!? WHO THE HELL IS THAT?!? FIRE HIM NOOOOWWW!!!!"

It's too late for any addition most likely but I was reading the Adam's diary and I tought it was great to limits the pay back on release to 6 months and it made me wonder if it would be an options for any future release ton have it include in the contract negotiations. Having a clause where if someone get fired he wouldn't be active for a set amount of time in exchange of the money own to him. During that time the popularity of the wrestler would lower but longuer would be the clause more expensive would be the contract. Some wrestlers could like the appeal of a bigger pay check to stay home even if they would drop some popularity and on the other side of the spectrum you could negotiate contract without any timed clause , they would be cheaper but if the wrestler get fired he would get a popularity boost as the new red hot free agent.

Grew up in a church community where secular honorifics weren't really a thing and respect for one another was not just a top down affair.

Like I could enter the building on a cold, winter day and be in the coat room next to the retired ex-pastor as I hung my jacket up. Address him like "Good morning, Brother Bradstreet. Cold enough out there for you?" And he'd address me as Brother in kind even though I was a mere teenager, joke about joints he forgot he had being stiff and it would just be a nice moment between generations. So over the years I've tried to carry that same spirit of inclusivity the church had into the world at large when and where I can.

But I do like the nod to Brother Love all the same. He was a hoot back in the day. Welcome to the board. Hope to catch you again soon.
