CGC 2019: The Show Must Go On

<p>CGC Tag Team Title Match: Woolabonga Bogans vs <strong>Gear-Heads ©</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>I'm very tempted to say Mills and Boon, they have been really awesome and they seem to be the future of your tag division given how they have been booked, but I cannot see it happening, The Gear-Heads have held the titles for a respectable amount of time, and they have been booked strongly, I feel when they lose the tag team titles, it has to mean something, not simply happen at random on TV, without build in a Face vs Face match, I feel that even if the titles were to change hands on TV it would be to some team that they have been feuding with and the story makes sense, and it would be better if one of the teams were heel, but in this random title shot I dont see the titles changing hands.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Poison vs <strong>Jack DeColt</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Jack DeColt is you biggest star, and he seems to always pull the best note on your shows, he is not the type of wrestler who usually losses on TV, his losses seem to be pretty scarce and mean something, but Jack wont win this one cleanly and wont even look like the winner when the match is over, I can see the more likely outcome of Poison DQing himself trying to take him out, and trying to injure him to help Garcia beat him, not always does someone have to win to manage its objective.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Express Delivery vs <strong>Pin Point</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>As I said last week Express Delivery needed Jack DeColt to do their dirty work, they cannot beat Pin Point and thats a fact, I assume Pin Point tonight is Identity and DaSilva, and they both are trying to turn around their mometums to become the stars they can be, but first they need to be credible wrestlers again after they were booked to the ground.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>A fourth match!</strong></p>

<p>CGC Tag Team Title Match: Woolabonga Bogans vs <strong>Gear-Heads ©</strong></p><p>

<em>The win over DaLay really made Bogans seem like a real deal and I´m considering the possibility of title chance here. Still, I don´t think Bogans have enough popularity to get the belts yet as you still need good ratings to keep TV station happy and I would assume Gear-Heads as champs and main team would still work better rating wise than Bogans at the time being. That said, after Bogans have gained bit more popularity I could certainly see them taking the belts of from Gear-Heads.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Poison vs <strong>Jack DeColt</strong></p><p>

<em>Much to my own surprise, I´m actually seriously considering the possibility that Jack might lose this one. My main reasoning for this is that while Jack vs. Garcia ain´t going to be the closest match ever, I think you still want to build some suspence of what if Garcia could weasel out one way or another (after all, Jack could wrestle against broom and it would still be one of the main matches of any PPV) and Poison feels like big enough name to actually help Garcia to gain the upper hand. Also Jack losing here with Garcia interfering, perhaps with the help of the potion Poison did give him, could help to build a few question marks for a match that was pretty much auto win for Jack before hand. Still, thinking that DQ loss for Poison and beating down Jack post match is the more likely way to go here asthat would give the same end result I´m looking from this match story wise without needing to have Jack lose in TV.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Express Delivery</strong> vs Pin Point</p><p>

<em>Thinking Express needs win here for this feud to have much legs to go anywhere, unless they here just to make Pin Point look good and give them some momentum.</em></p>

CGC Tag Team Title Match: Woolabonga Bogans vs Gear-Heads ©

The Bogans probably haven't got enough overness to deliver the results you need. But I might bet differently on the rematch.

Poison vs Jack DeColt

This is CGC. There's only one DeColt wrestling here any more. He does NOT lose like this.

Express Delivery vs Pin Point

Here I predict purely out of fandom. I like the slightly dopey underdogs of Pin Point.

A fourth match!

We all win.

ADRIAN GARCIA</p><p>

The tables have officially turned. Jack DeColt bullied me and threatened</p><p>

me and forced me into a match at WrestleFestival because he thought </p><p>

that I couldn't be his physical equal in the ring. Little did he know that I</p><p>

would run into an old friend. For years I have stood at ringside, or sat at</p><p>

the commentary desk, watching the world's greatest fighters beat down</p><p>

members of the DeColt Family. I often wondered what it would feel like</p><p>

to be doing that myself, and now I get to find out. You're going to get </p><p>

your match with me at WrestleFestival, Jack. and for the first time ever I </p><p>

won't be paying anyone to get my revenge for me. I'll be doing it myself! </p><p>

And it's all thanks to this!</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Joey Poison holds aloft a mysterious vial of glowing green potion.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>JOEY POISON</p><p>

One sip and you gain the strength of ten men. One sip and you don't </p><p>

feel pain. This potion is the answer to every fighter's prayers, amplifying</p><p>

their abilities to unheard of levels... in just one sip. This potion would</p><p>

have made me World Champion had Jack DeColt not,<em> in his jealousy</em>, </p><p>

destroyed my supply and ran me out of town. Well I've found more, </p><p>

Jack! And I can think of no sweeter revenge than sharing this potion with</p><p>

my wealthy friend Adrian Garcia and watching him use it to beat your ass </p><p>

at WrestleFestival. </p><p> </p><p>

ADRIAN GARCIA</p><p>

Longtime fans need no reminder, but for anyone new tuning in perhaps </p><p>

a demonstration is in order. Happy to oblige. Tonight Poison returns to</p><p>

CGC, and he's going to remind Jack DeColt exactly what this potion can do.</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="Bt5qGcR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Bt5qGcR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

RECENT HISTORY</p><p> </p><p>

March 2016 </p><p>

The Virtuosos (Bobby Thomas & Ozzie Golden) defeat The Predators (Nathan Black and Warren Technique) kicking off a reign of dominance not seen in the tag team division since Bobby's initial run in The Specialists. Not content with victory alone, they wanted to salt the earth of the division, retiring the New Soliders of Fortune and permanantly breaking up the Dirty White Boys, The Predators, and Next Wave (Donte Dunn & Antonio Del Veccio). </p><p> </p><p>

January 2018</p><p>

As The Virtuoso's reign passed 15 months, Zeus Maxmillion saw an opportunity to complete his 11th Labour; "End The Unending". Despite his tag team expertise, Zeus failed for many months and several partners before being humble enough to accept the help of Shane Nelson, the man who knows Bobby better than anyone. The pair finally won the titles to raptuous applause in January 2018. </p><p> </p><p>

June 2018</p><p>

Small time villains Pin Point (Pretentious tap out artist Mario DaSilva and deluded Ian "DeColt") pull off a massive upset to take the titles, but lose them only five days later to the makeshift duo of Greaser and Long John Yatesy. Heavyweight biker Greaser had been waging war with the pirate pair of Yatesy and Hugh De Arrrske, but their 'punishment' of having to team up resuted in surprise friendship and accidental tag team glory. They went on to rebrand themselves as the Gear-Heads (with Yatesy becoming Torque) and Pin Point rethought their villainous ways, pairing up with Jenny Playmate; manager to future stars. </p><p> </p><p>

I hate to say "I told you so" but this never would have happened</p><p>

You don't need to. Joey's been gone a while, but he hasn't changed</p><p>

<em><strong>Davis Ditterich</strong></em><em> "It's been two years since Poison has run amok in Canadian Golden Combat. Jack barely managed to defeat him last time. Does he still have what it takes?"</em></p><p><em>

</em><em><strong>Adrian Garcia</strong></em><em> "You'd be a fool to think I wouldn't want a front row seat for this! If Jack wants to fight me, he'll fight me with the power of Poison running through my veins.</em></p><p> </p><p>

The moment Jack steps into the ring, Joey drinks the potion. Body wracked with pain, he drops to his knees and thrashes around on the mat, unleashing a guttural scream then... Silence. Stillness. Poison rises, staring straight ahead with cold, dead eyes. </p><p> </p><p>

Jack goes on the attack, but nothing he does seems to work. Right hands don't phase the monster. Shoulder tackles are shrugged off. Jack Punches! Him! In! The! Face! But Poison just eats the blows and fires back. Unfazed, unfeeling, unblinking, Poison takes him apart with deadly right hands. and launches Jack from corner to corner with unnatural ease. Jack fights to survive, throwing wild haymakers in the vague area of Poison’s collarbone. Some hit the mark, seemingly the only attacks that do damage, but not enough. Precision was never Jack's strong suit. So instead he locks on a Nerve Hold! Squeezing the precise point just above Poison’s right collarbone Poison feels pain! Poison recoils, but- Poison Mist! Jack is blind! </p><p> </p><p>

<em><strong>Adrian Garcia</strong></em><em> "Ha! Forgot he could do that, didn't you. That's what I'm going to do to you at WrestleFestival!."</em></p><p> </p><p>

Poison goes for the Ripcord Lariat, but Jack can feel it come and ducks and takes him down to the mat, controlling him with simple but effective mat wrestling until he can get the mist from his eyes. He picks Poison up for the Wild Ride (Whiplash Slam) but the monster slips free! Ripcord Lariaaaat! 1... 2... Jack kicks out. Poison goes for it again, but... something's wrong. The potion is wearing off.</p><p> </p><p>

<em><strong>Adrian Garcia</strong></em><em> "That's not supposed to happen this fast. We're only 12 minutes in. Didn't it used to be twenty?"</em></p><p> </p><p>

Joey is back, and he's scared. He scrambles for another vial but Jack intercepts and runs wild with right hands and shoulder tackles before Punching! Him! In! The! Face! </p><p> </p><p>

<em><strong>Adrian Garcia</strong></em><em> "I... um... Maybe I need more than just one vial."</em></p><p> </p><p>

Jack goes for the Wild Ride again but Joey rakes the eyes and dives across the ring to his one remaining vial of- A terrified Adrian Garcia snatches the potion from his grasp and drinks it. </p><p> </p><p>

Dying a little inside, Joey turns around into a huge Wild Ride! 1... 2... 3!</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>JACK DECOLT WINS (14:39)</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Having just survived a war, Jack struggles to his feet, unaware that on the outside, Adrian drops to his knees and thrashes around on the mat, body wracked with pain unleashing a guttural scream then... Silence. Stillness. He rises, staring straight ahead with cold, dead eyes. </p><p> </p><p>

Zombie Garcia enters the ring and advance on Jack and... swings the slowest, most pathetic zombie punch that barely grazes Jack's chest. And again. Aaaaaaand agaaaaaaaain. Rolling his eyes, Jack lightly shoves the zombified manager over, and Adrian is helpless, slowly flailing is uncoordinated limbs around in a failed attempt to stand. </p><p> </p><p>

I've already told that story, and Joey isn't the performer he used to be, with stamina being a big concern. Tonight's match was surprisingly awesome though, and I love the character, so I'm not writing Poison off completely. If anything, this makes me sad that in my original CGC diary, Poison was poached so soon. There were legs to the character... but that was when he was late-30's. Not 42 and declining physically. </p><p> </p><p> Hugh Ancrie carried the match with Pin Point, but to my absolute surprise Rusty Mills was the best performer in the tag title match. What's the point in them fighting on TV if they're already going to fight on PPV? Gotta fix that in future. At least 3 interesting fights need to be locked down at least 3 weeks out. For ticket sales. </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="HFdiLDs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HFdiLDs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Next Sunday on CGC Title Bout Wrestling</p><p> </p><p> CGC Canadian Title: Chris Flynn vs Sayeed Ali ©</p><p> Skip Beau & Blockbuster vs Bobby Thomas & Zeus Maxmillion</p><p> Phillipe LaGrenier vs Ian Identity</p><p> Battle Royale to determine Jack Bruce's opponent at WrestleFestival</p><p> Featuring... Ali

Ali should go an get the w here, I like Chria Flynn but not hugely a fan of him in CGC, despite his size and charisma. I just feel Ali should keep the belt

Bobby & Zeus

This one could go either way with Zeus after Buster and Bobby and Skip having their spat. I'll give it to the challenger though, based purely on the fact that giving Zeus a win over the champ, even if he doesn't pin him, is still a nice way to get him to lool like a credible challenger

PLG

I like PLG and the new addition of Dirty Dice should help him get the w

Dan DaLay

From the guys you mentioned, I have no interest in any of them facing Bruce except maybe Dan and Poison. Though, Dan is a tag guy now, he is old after all and Poison is a character who really doesn't the match. Jack (DeColt) isn't wrestling tonight so I expect him to be here too and if he is, I'd look more at him to win it. Excited to see what direction you go with this though

I swear to god, if this turns into a plotline where the entirely predictable and conventional handsome jock saves a pretty girl from her dangerous 'Gangsta' boyfriend, I will be very disappointed.

Skip Beau & Blockbuster vs Bobby Thomas & Zeus Maxmillion

Skip eats the pin, but Blockbuster keeps looking strong.

Phillipe LaGrenier vs Ian Identity

Once again, I predict out of fandom rather than any reasonable expectation.

Battle Royale to determine Jack Bruce's opponent at WrestleFestival

I can't remember whether or not the Canadian Title has a match at Wrestlefestival already, so Flynn wins via flash pinfall to set up a rematch

Skip Beau & Blockbuster vs Bobby Thomas & Zeus Maxmillion

Because Blockbuster's just...the worst. I mean that in a good way, he's supposed to be, but I really hate that guy

Phillipe LaGrenier vs Ian Identity

I just prefer him

Both Poison and Bruce are probably past their best, so match them up for a quick sprint and hope their overness can cover for their weaknesses

<em>Doubful we see another quick title chance so soon so Ali will liekly have at least decently long run with the belt.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Skip Beau & Blockbuster vs <strong>Bobby Thomas & Zeus Maxmillion</strong></p><p>

<em>Could see this one going either way. I would usually give these kind of matches to the guy who I think will be on losing end on the PPV in order to make him look strong or challenger if I feel he isn´t on the level of the champion. The thing is, I´m not sure who I´d expect to win the title match as Zeus feels like someone who could potentially end Blockbuster´s reign (assuming Zeus not badly on time decline which he might be) but on the other hand, you have presented Blockbuster as strong (even if he´s cheated most of his wins) champion so far and looks like you are really trying to build him as one of your top stars... I just can´t figure this one out so I´m going with who I hope will win and that´s Bobby Thomas so faces take the win... maybe. </em></p><p> </p><p>

Phillipe LaGrenier vs <strong>Ian Identity</strong></p><p>

<em>Not sure on this one either and could see it going either way depending on the story and what your plans are. With Ancrie named as one carrying the last tag match, I´d assume LaGrenier is the fall guy for their team while I´d rate Ian as the top guy on his team so that´s why I pick Ian over Phillipe here.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Battle Royale to determine Jack Bruce's opponent at WrestleFestival</p><p>

Featuring... Dan DaLay, Diablo DeVille, Dirty Dice Elderberry, Donovan Boon, Greaser, Hugh Ancrie, Hugh DeArrrske, K-Squared, Poison, Robin DaLay, Rusty Mills, Shane Nelson, Torque and <strong>more.</strong>..</p><p>

<em>Of the named guys, Dan DaLay or Poison would be the obvious choises but I could see someone like Diablo DeVille getting the shot too as he would certainly benefit the match against Bruce more than either one of the other´s would. It could also be some new signing like Julian Watson who seems to be your latest signing... Tough choise here (seems to be the theme of this card) but I go with mister unknown here. My main reasoning is that Poison showed weakness on stamina side against Jack DeColt and battle royale´s usually take decent time so maybe he runs out of juice here too. Dan Dalay has his tag team with his son going and I´d figure they could be on the card in a tag match and that might serve you better than putting him with Bruce as Dan is likely to rub some popularity to both his son and whichever tag team they could be facing. As for Diablo, I could see him getting the win story wise as he could draw strenght on disappoinment from those who are eliminated and thus get stronger during the match but there´s still the popularity issue and while you said your not too concerned of that, I still feel that the popularity difference is just too big for DeVille to win this one. Other named guys I don´t see going over so that leaves mystery man as my pick. </em></p>

Sunday Week 3 March 2019

Late Evening on Maple Leaf Sports

Edmonton, Alberta

3,000 in attendance

WNQbcLB.jpg

Davis Ditterich "We are just one week away from WrestleFestival. Rides. Games. Live Music. Unbeatable wrestling action. It's fun for the whole family and everyone's invited. Night One of this incredible weekend will be headlined by Zeus Maxmillion challenging Blockbuster for the CGC World Title and tonight these two goliaths meet in tag team action."

IN-RING

SKIP BEAU

Normally, me and my best friend Blockbuster wouldn't care about next

week's WrestleFestival ,but this year is going to be special. Not only is

my bestie going to take out that false prophet Zeus Maxmillion, but I

am going to reclaim my Canadian Title. That's right. It'll be the return of

the Champion Bros. I sure hope Alex hired enough photographers, because

I'm going to want plenty of pics of the two of us reigning supreme. 8x10's.

Wallet sized. A big collage to go over my fireplace-

BLOCKBUSTER

Shut up, you moron! No one cares about your or your stupid Canadian

Title. Zeus! You call yourself a demigod, but you're just as weak and

puny as all of these 'mortals' that I've broken against these turnbuckles.

Just like Shane Nelson. Like Bob Thomas, and just like that pathetic

dweeb Ryan Powell.

pDTE1FI.jpge0XN8Nh.jpg

ZEUS MAXMILLION

You should chose your next words carefully, Buster of Blocks. Ryan

Powell is a good man who has taught me much in our battles together.

As have all who you have thrown against these ringposts. You say

that I am just like them as a way to insult me, but I consider it a

compliment. They are honourable warriors and dear friends.

BLOCKBUSTER

Friends? That's your problem, Zeus. Too busy pansying around "making

friends" when you should have been dominating. A real demigod

would have completed his Labours years ago, but you wasted time,

and now I'm standing in your way. And I'm not moving.

SKIP BEAU

Hey, Bestie... Maybe you should make him mad-

BLOCKBUSTER

Shut up! I'm not afraid of him.

ZEUS MAXMILLION

You should listen to your friend, Buster of Blocks. I have often found

great wisdom in the viewpoints of others. You have beaten many men

in this ring, but each of them has come away from the battle with valuable

knowledge. They have seen your strengths and your weaknesses and they

are willing to share that knowledge with all that they call friends. I have

wasted no time here in CGC. It has simply taken time for me to grow, to

learn, to become what I need to be to ascend to Mount Olympus. This

world isn't "every man for himself". There is no glory is being an island.

Tonight when I show you my power I will have my friend Bobby of Thomas

at my side, and when I take you on at WrestleFestival it will be as though

the spirits of the men you've broken will be fighting beside me. Who

will do the same for you?

SKIP BEAU

I'll help you, Blockbuster... once I get my title back-

BLOCKBUSTER

I don't need your help! I don't need anyone's help! You can take your "power

of friendship" Zeus and shove it. One man wears this belt. One man is the

Champion. Go ahead and gossip to your friends all you want. I have no

weaknesses, and you're going to be all alone at WrestleFestival, and I'm

going to break you!

Davis Ditterich "Some say Sayeed Ali was lucky to win the CGC Canadian Title, benefiting from Diablo DeVille's campaign of suffering two weeks ago."

Ali immediately puts Faith in harm's way to distract Flynn and take the fight to the streets where he can use the environment to his advantage. Flynn picks the leg with multiple dragon screws, but lets his guard down when Sayeed limps behind Faith to use her as a human shield. East Coast Forearm and the GBH Driver (Implant DDT) for the 1... 2... 3!

SAYEED ALI WINS (4:39)

HFdiLDs.jpg

wOIZiSA.jpg

SKIP BEAU

This is a travesty! How can Sayeed Ali be Champion of Canada? He

isn't even Canadian. He's from that dirty, rat-infested, urine-soaked

hellhole New York City. That belt doesn't deserve that. It should be

back wrapped around the waist of a true Canadian patriot. Honest.

Loyal. Heroic. Me! Skip Beau. I only lost the title because Zeus stopped

me from che- I mean, because Zeus cheated. Then Diablo helped Ali

win. And Diablo belongs to Blockbuster. And Blockbuster is MY best

friend. So ipso facto... The belt is mine! Give it back!

Ian takes initiative with intense forearms and incredible dropkicks, but is interupted by Dice's interference. Muscular Phillipe shows off his package handling skills, tossing Ian like he's marked 'fragile' and covering him in stamps. More than just a pretty face, Jenny rallies the crowd, but Ian's comeback is cut short when he sees Dice advancing on her. Insane Plancha! There has been a scuffle in a Casino, with the police questioning witnesses and several victims recovering from black eyes and scratches. Dressed as a Showgirl, HAILEY HUNTER approaches a discarded Magician's Hat, pets the rabbit inside, and give it her business card.

NEW MEXICO

Dressed as a Native American, HAILEY HUNTER enters a teepee in the middle of the desert.

AIRPORT

Dressed in Hawaiian hula kahiko, HAILEY HUNTER approaches the gate to her next exciting destination... only to be surrounded by Japanese men in suits. They don't look like business types.

JAPANESE MAN

You! We want the Maverick!

HAILEY HUNTER

John or Julian?

JAPANESE MAN

He must pay his debt! We know you invited him to your WrestleFestival.

So we will send one of our own to take what is ours!

One of the Japanese men takes the plane ticket out Hailey's hand and rips it up, while another gives her a photograph. Hailey's eyes widen. They walk away and Hailey dials her phone.

HAILEY HUNTER

Alex. Bad news? I'm not going to make my meeting in Hawaii.

Good news? I have found you someone even better.

Davis Ditterich "The winner of this match gets to welcome Jack Bruce to CGC... but there are a lot of personal issues in that ring."

The bell rings and Dan DaLay immediately throws his son out of the ring (Elimination 1: Robin DaLay)!

Davis Ditterich "What in blazes?"

DAN DALAY

You ain't ready, boy. Don't get in my way.

Big Poppa DaLay yells at his boy to leave, and chaos erupts. Parcels of Pain. Kangeroo-Fu. Liberal assaults. Killer Beats. Arrrm Drags. Hammers and wrenches and drills. From the bedlam, one monster emerges. Unfazed, unfeeling, unblinking, Poison takes apart everyone who crosses his path with deadly right hands. launching several out of the ring with unnatural potion-fueled strength. (Elimination 2: Hugh De Arrrske)(Elimination 3: K-Squared). Meanwhile, Penfold complains about Express Delivery by bouncing Ancrie out of the ring with a Belly Butt, but Dice answers that complaint with a Belly Butt of his own (Elimination 4: Hugh Ancrie)(Elimination 5: Penfold Perdition). Elsewhere, Shane Nelson assaults the ancient demon prince who attacked him two weeks ago... but the more elminations that occur, the stronger Diablo DeVille gets a he soon turns the tables.

The Woolabonga Bogans use ultra-smooth double teams to take out the competition (Elimination 6: Drake Young) and even bamboozle one half of the tag team champions with a blind switcheroo (Elimination 7: Torque). Realising how unstoppable the Bogans are together, all of the remaining fighters pile in to seperate them. Dice, Diablo & DaLay take out one (Elimination 8: Donovan Boon) while Greaser proves tougher than the other one-on-onen a Bogan alone (Elimination 9: Rusty Mills). Poison still proves and immovable object, turning Nelson inside out with a Ripcord Lariot... but the potion starts wearing off. Probably shouldn't have drank it before the entrances. He turns back into regular old Joey, surrounded by enemies. Hellfire Kick! Grease Spot! (Elimination 10: Joey Poison).

Nelson and Diablo take their fight to the top turnbuckle, while Greaser & Dice throw heavy hands at each other. Don't forget about DaLay! Big Poppa BACKFISTs the former Dirty White Boys over the top, before shoving the bubbleweights off of the turnbuckle! (Elimination 11: Dice Elderberry)(Elimination 12: Greaser)(Elimination 13: Diablo DeVille)(Elimination 14: Shane Nelson)

DAN DALAY WINS (13:38)

m0D5AD5.jpg

DAN DALAY

Jack Bruce! You want to come up here to CGC? Well I guess I'm the

welcoming party, and I ain't happy to see ya! If Jack DeColt ain't man

enough to punch your teeth down your throat then I'm more than

happy to do it. I brought my boy here with one simple goal; to make

him the youngest tag team champion in CGC history and begin a

thousand year reign of us smashing dorks as father and son. But it

ain't worked out that way. I've been trying to teach Robin how to

be a beast like me... but he ain't like me. He ain't as big. He ain't

as strong. Just look at how he screwed things up last week and got

those Bogans another title shot. But that's my fault. Not his.

When I showed up here, I had a teacher, and teach didn't try to

make me his clone. He knew that wouldn't work. He focused on MY

strengths and turned me into the best Dan DaLay I could be. Now look

at me. Twenty years later I'm still smashing dorks and I'm stealing

Alex DeColt's lunch money. Teach knew what he was doing. I

needed his help then... and maybe I need his help now.

RIGHTEOUS HAMMERS

Zeus Maxmillion & Bobby Thomas

Davis Ditterich "Zeus Maxmillion takes on Blockbuster at WrestleFestival."

Blockbuster yells and screams at his partner, while Zeus treats his as an equal, allowing the Hammers to dominate the early goings. Blockbuster blindsides Bobby with a clubbing blow and beats him like a drum; shredding and thrashing and head-banging. Skip wants to help, but the Champion refuses. He doesn't believe in the power of friendship. Bobby does! He tags in Zeus who smites his foes with left hands and headbutts, coming face to face and fist to fist with Blockbuster for the first time... and suddenly the Champion is all too willing to accept Skip's help. It doesn't amount to much. Thunder Bolt on Skip. Blockbuster blindsides him and tries the BusterBomb, but Zeus has learned from his friends, countering it with a hurancanranna!

Blockbuster bails as Bobby locks Skip in an armbar! Zeus stands guard, waiting for the heavy metal mauler to come fight him... but he doesn't. He walks away up the ramp as Skip begs and pleads and taps out!

Two days late. I'm definitely slowing down on the writing side, although I think perhaps the sheer scale of WrestleFestival is getting to me. Pre-Show + 2 PPV's all on one weekend. There's no chance I'm gonna post this is real time, but I'm gonna try to power through, post things when they're ready, and simplify things for the next arc.

Though, Dan is a tag guy now, he is old after all

Don't let him hear you say that. Dan DaLay is as fighting fit as when he was Robin's age. Anyone says different will feel the back of his fist.

CGC Canadian Title: Chris Flynn vs Sayeed Ali ©

I swear to god, if this turns into a plotline where the entirely predictable and conventional handsome jock saves a pretty girl from her dangerous 'Gangsta' boyfriend, I will be very disappointed.

Well... Flynn decided to get into a fight backstage so even if that was the plan, he screwed it up big time.

Ali

Bit weird not to see this at the PPV but maybe you have something planned for Skip/Bobby for day 2 so they have their scheduled fight for the belt here

Mysteries from Las Vegas

Don't know who this is, but they'll beat K-Squared who's a jobber and De Arrrske because he's teaming with a jobber

Robin DaLay

Robin has to win this, Flynn is just to make up the numbers

Mystery from New Mexico

Don't think we've seen much of Drake Young, so he probably is still a jobber in 2019. That and these mystery lads seem like a big deal

WF Day 1

Blockbuster

Although I love Zeus, dont think you want to put the belt on him. He's 42 (IIRC), his gimmick is better suited as a heel (though I still love his face work) and I feel the Buster of Block still has more Blocks to Bust. That being said, there's a lot more credible heel challenger than face right now so I wouldn't be surprised if you did bite the bullet and made a change

Gear Heads

Not sure on this one so keeping it a safe pick with the champs

Identity, DaSilva and Perdition

Faces win, think they have more use on the roster then the heels.

Dan DaLay

Anothet iffy pick. Having Bruce lose is bad, but having Bruce beat a CGC star is just as bad if not worse so I take Dan cause he's a CGC guy.

Jack DeColt

Not sure thia will be an actual natch but it will be entertaining.

Diablo Deville

Shane is old and small Diablo is only one of those things

Japanese Debt Collector

Watson must be almost at this point, isn't he like 43/44 in 2016

No idea who Hailey is bringing, I'm interested though

Not sure about Robin/Flynn but I just figure you'll be punishing Flynn for causing trouble backstage, so I guess Tyler will be showing up next week just in time to guide Robin to his first real win.

Going Postal match is the best pro-wrestling match stipulation ever. But I hope whomever that's losing and getting sent away aren't going to be gone from CGC for good, since I like all 6 of them.

I've had a soft spot for Sayeed since '07/'08 4C, so I'll vote for him here.

Adrian Garcia vs Jack DeColt

Because seriously.

Pure guesswork, and the fact that I love the wrestling demon.

Kind of hoping Bobby would win this but I would assume that Ali keeps the belt here.

Pirates of the K-Rap-ean (K-Squared & DeArrrske) vs Two Mysteries From Las Vegas

No idea of any of these mystery guys but I´d assume whoever the ones in here are, will go over against two guys who have pretty much been jobbers so far.

Robin DaLay vs Chris Flynn

Flynn haven´t done a whole lot so while I could see Robin losing here, I still assume Robin is more likely to get a win here since he has more going on.

Drake Young vs Mystery From New Mexico

Again, mystery man over guy who has been jobber so far.

Followed immediately by Night One of The DeColt WrestleFestival...

CGC World Title Match: Zeus Maxmillion vs Blockbuster ©

I could see Zeus getting the win but I´m still assuming that Blockbuster is going to retain. Will be interesting to see who gets the belt off from him if Zeus doesn´t do it here.

CGC Tag Team Title Match: Woolabonga Bogans vs The Gear-Heads ©

Don´t quite see Bogans getting the belts just yet.

Going Postal Match: Dice Elderberry, Hugh Ancrie & Phillipe LaGrenier vs Ian Identity, Mario DaSilva & Penfold Perdition

Pin Point Plus gets a win and will send Dice to bath because he really needs one. :D

Dan DaLay vs Jack Bruce

I could see Dan winning if you want to make it look like CGC is big enough deal that even top guy from another company can´t just come in and win but I feel that first win against Bruce is pretty big thing and I´d assume you would like to give that win to younger talent (once some have been build up enough to go over Bruce).

Adrian Garcia vs Jack DeColt

No-way Garcia would go over here but interesting to see if he manages to weasel out from this somehow.

Diablo DeVille vs Shane Nelson

I had quite hard time on this one, on one hand, Diablo haven´t won a whole lot so I feel that losing here could bury Nelson a bit. On other hand, Diablo is someone who´s character I like quite a lot and would love to see him doing well... at the end, I go with Diablo mainly because he´s younger and thus more useful in the future and depending on how the story goes perhaps it doesn´t hurt Nelson as badly as I´m fearing it could.

Mystery Japanese Debt Collector vs Julian Watson

Going with known name over mystery guy here as I feel this might become longer storyline but that would likely happen only if the debt collector doesn´t collect the payment.

Not sure hotshotting the belt back would do much for anyone.

Pirates of the K-Rap-ean (K-Squared & DeArrrske) vs Two Mysteries From Las Vegas

These two aren't super amazing. This is hopefully a hot new heel tag team.

Robin DaLay vs Chris Flynn

Flynn just got into a fight.

Drake Young vs Mystery From New Mexico

Drake's expendable.

CGC World Title Match: Zeus Maxmillion vs Blockbuster ©

Zeus vs. DaLay! Book it!

CGC Tag Team Title Match: Woolabonga Bogans vs The Gear-Heads ©

You seem quite fond of the Bogans and I could easily see this going the other way, I just think it would hurt the Gear-Heads' pop and they probably wouldn't be thrilled about dropping the match either.

Going Postal Match: Dice Elderberry, Hugh Ancrie & Phillipe LaGrenier vs Ian Identity, Mario DaSilva & Penfold Perdition

Have a bad feeling we lose Penfold here. Hopefully he comes back from Hawaii safe!

Dan DaLay vs Jack Bruce

If Bruce is available, he's gonna be on the downswing. Dan's CGC through and through.

Adrian Garcia vs Jack DeColt

I cannot wrangle the amount of mental gymnastics that could convince me to believe that Garcia going over Jack would be a good idea in any way, shape or form. As someone mentioned, maybe the match doesn't actually happen or there is a 'technical' win for Garcia, but he does not win in a match that's not an angle.

Diablo DeVille vs Shane Nelson

Shane's pretty old, Diablo could use some forward momentum

Mystery Japanese Debt Collector vs Julian Watson

I wonder if this is Duane Stone...
