If I could figure my way around all that coding stuff, then I'd probably have made a diary on here ages ago. Is fiddling about with code in a notepad the only real way to learn how to do this, or does anyone here have another technique they used to learn it?

I tried borders just recently, and it's not that hard to get around them. Did it the same way guys described above

 

For example here how the code looks. I added a dot after the first symbol to break it, so we can actually see it

You can tinker with values here and see how it works through "Preview Message". The only values that you have to look up online is colors. For example #000000 is black, #ffffff is white.

-I was surprised I didn't see any WWE diaries here. Are they discouraged, or are they just unpopular? I am planning on making a modern WWE diary, running kind-of parallel to the present day. I'm going to be loosely adapting a couple ideas from Adam Blampied's booking videos, particularly

I started working through it in-game today, which is a huge milestone since this has been all spreadsheets and text files up until now. Admittedly I don't have the best track record of sticking with things, but I have a story I'm excited to tell, and I am approaching the beginning of starting to prepare to commence the opening of it. Blodyxe was very right to say this is a beast to book. Even just deciding who wins and loses each match of these tournaments has been a gigantic struggle. But with those results mostly in place, I finally have a vision. Within the next week, I'll start posting things on here, and we can embrace that vision together.

Figured I do a quick post here. I've recently been playing a TNA 2004 game just to finally get into the 2020 version, with no intention of turning it into a diary. Hey GDS'ers!

 

I try to stay away. Really, I do. That said, I find it really hard to not have some sense of creative outlet outside of teaching & family.

 

My challenge is that I go full force, get really excited, and then fall victim to my fleeting free time. Before you know it, months go by and I all but forget about my project. It's a sad but true process.

 

With all of that said, I miss having that creative outlet.

 

Right now, I have two projects in mind. They both very different to one another; so, I would need to decide which one seems more interesting to me long term. Either way, I wanted to put my thinking out there as a way to possibly get some thinking from others.

 

Deadly Overloaded Action:

A medium-sized wrestling promotion that is owned and operated by the US television company Arcadia. I created this company a long time ago and had a few good runs with it. It tends to project a gritty, fast-paced product with Eric Tyler playing the curmudgeon authority-like figure. Since I don't have TEW in front of me right now, I don't know what the roster would look like but I'm thinking TEW 2020 would provide some 'new names' into the mix. Ultimately, DOA would be presented to you as if it is a weekly 1 HOUR TV show (posted when I have the opportunity to do so). Since there is not building to a PPV, it would be easier to take longer between episodes as they all flow naturally between feuds.

 

Small Wrestling Promotion:

I was thinking of possibly booking a small wrestling promotion in the US. This would be about the struggle of running a small company with limited assets and seeing where it could grow to long term. The write-up would provide shows & some background information (between shows) when it comes to the inner workings of the company. Also, it would either be a created company (ala LAX Wrestling).

 

I guess I'm just thinking out loud but this is something I've been mulling over for the week. I want a project that I can jump in and out of, writing when I have the time and the freedom.

I am having no luck with this WWWF game. My laptop battery is fried and randomly turns off my computer from time to time, so some data has been lost. I have a replacement battery on the way that'll hopefully arrive by next week so we'll see what I can salvage and rebook but the autosave did not save a few contracts that were signed (Bruno is a hot commodity apparently) and things got weird in the save.

 

Stay tuned, I guess? Something will be coming once I get my laptop issues fixed. It might be WWWF, it might be something elite that'll change the game or it may make an impact. aaa i don't know.
