TGA, WCW Lives, and even Superfly Effect have been my go-to's for ages now.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Thank you, and thank you to everyone who's sent me similar words of support both here and on discord. I've received more love and support over the past few weeks than I ever have. I probably would have called it quits by now had it not been for this love and support. I had no idea so many played and enjoyed my work. Some of the stories of people playing my mods for 15+ years now or as some put it "Since I was a kid" has also made me feel super old <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Modding can be very much a thankless task with the vast majority of time spent staring at numbers in the editor. Hearing stories of people enjoying playthroughs is the most rewarding aspect for myself and is a great motivator to continue modding. If you have any other modders work you enjoy I recommend letting them know, especially right now modders could use all the support you can offer. I hope other modders are shown the love I've received as I'm sure it will help motivate them also.</p><p> </p><p> Edit - Sincerely, to everyone who's reached out thank you <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
Nobby_McDonald
I have a long running TEW13 save called Pro Wrestling... But Not Quite As You Know It using your 2001 mod where WCW ceases to exist and I'm enjoying it just as much eleven game years in as I was when I started it. The first section is in the TEW13 dynasty forum, the second section is in 16 when that came out.
The Nickman
Yeah look, you can add me to the long list of people blowing smoke up your arse here, Genadi. In the decade I’ve played TEW I’ve probably sunk thousands of hours into the game and I’d wager that at least 99% of those hours are one of your mods. I’ve written two dynasties based on your mods and I genuinely can’t get into other mods (no offence to the other models!) because they just don’t “feel right” in comparison to a Genadi mod, whether it’s Montreal Aftermatch. Art of War, Death of WCW, WCW Lives, New Blood Rising or that one that starts in 1996. And I’m honestly now just treading water eagerly awaiting you to release SOMETHING I can waste the next few months of my life on.
Redennis
Can I pay someone else to blow the smoke in your rear end? Love for the 85 mod btw!
kdcastles
So I was a long time EWR player and never really got into TEW until TEW16. Adam put the EWR setting into the game and I decided to give it a try. I piddled with the game for a while, but it wasn't until your TGA mod did I finally sink my teeth into the game. I started watching wrestling at 3 years old in 1989, and your mod allowed me to book ahead of that to make 1989 and forward exactly what I wanted. I thank you for giving me the hours of fun just for the TGA mod. I also had my longest-running game with your WCW lives mod. It took 5+ years in-game time, but I finally got WCW back to the top of the mountain and overtook WWF (thanks to some retirements). All that to say, I really enjoy your work and I hope I can continue to enjoy your work now in TEW20.
Zero
Golden Age was the GOAT mod. Had my favorite save (87-2010) on it.

spiffyone
Sad to see this happen, but not unexpected considering the changes 2020 brought in. It's strange that it's such a double edged sword. A lot of the gameplay changes are for the better, but the database editor changes for the worse (especially as far as historical and alternate history mods are concerned). I mentioned in the reaction thread (among my advocating for the return of user controlled product creation and modification in the database editor) that I modify mods for personal use. One of them was GA 1987 because there were a few choices I disagreed with, a few things missing here and there (mainly missing smaller start up promotions from around that time and a few workers), and a few changes to be made (mostly with TV shows and broadcasting deals). I don't state that to throw any shade, because there is one thing I learned in performing some edits to that and other mods: Editing an already complete mod is time consuming and difficult (especially with all the research necessary for historical mods). And that's working off of a base that is already complete as-is. Actually creating a mod from scratch is on a whole different level. The amount of work, of time, necessary to do that is massive. And Genadi, you did it for free. No money was expected and even "thank yous", while I'm sure appreciated, were also not expected. You did it because you thought you'd enjoy the finished result, and provided it to the community because you thought we'd enjoy it too. So: Thank you. Thank you for selflessly providing hours upon hours of enjoyment and appreciation for your efforts and work.

TeflonBilly
I want to add my voice to the chorus thanking you for your mods. I really hope we'll see your mods for 2020, but I'll understand if you tap out.
Kimberly
I can say definitively that your historical mods are the only historical ones I use. (And most of my playing tends to be historical). If I were to do a modern I might consider buying the game. But, if I buy this game to do a historical mod and you tap out (and I completely understand why you would), then I have no reason to buy this game. You're that good and vital. Theheel
I’ll add to the love and support here. I’ve played a few historical mods over the years (since 2007) but your mods are my go to for this period. From the Superfly Effect in 85 to the 2001 mods. Many games, many fun times. Thank you
John Waylon
Long live Genadi and his mods. Cream of the crop. Thanks for the years of work for our enjoyment! And if you chose to endure and continue on, thanks for the upcoming years of our enjoyment!
Valdarix
Thank you for all your hard work over the years, your historical mods have been the only reason I have bought this game over the years. The level of detail in your work is far and away top notch. As someone who has spent years making mods for other games I truly understand the thankless nature of the endeavor. The one thing I hope to see, is what I saw when I stopped making a real world NCAA mod for a college basketball game a few years ago. Others stepped in to fill the void and elevated what I had been doing to all new levels.

deadman2006
Just wanted to pile on the love. Your Golden Age mod from both '13 and '16 was the most fun I've ever had playing this game. Thanks for your hard and sometimes thankless work, you're a legend around here
BIGJOSH
I literally won't purchase the game until a Genadi mod is made available. The mods are far and away the best thing going. Can't wait to play Golden Age!
