This isn't a beta as much as people want to tell you that. This game is finished outside of bugs that the general public will find this week and will be patched. What you see is what you are getting next week outside of whatever bugs are fixed. If this was released six months ago, I'd probably be completely OK with what you are saying. But we are one week away from a $34.95 purchase. I can think of 10+ games I'd rather buy for that price tag right now that doesn't give me headaches the second I load it. This was a massive bummer.</p>

Is it normal for workers to dissapear with no explanation? I cant find any trace of Kashmir Singh anywhere in the database.

Just adding to existing Stables being split up very quickly once commencing a game. RAW had their boy band stable split up almost instantly. (May have been caused as one person turned face.) And created a new on The Hand (Maurice Jackson, Spiffy Stan Standing, Alecander Banks and Mac McGuffin.) A pretty good stable replacement. But annoying to see the other one disband right away.

If you wanna use him, you'll have to start a new game and turn it on.</p>

Adam has made small adjustments to UI in the past games, he has also made complete system changes between demo and release, let alone over time with patches. While this is the current finished project it also not set in stone that it is the end all be all of what the final product will be. This was a complete overall over past games and much like the jump from 07 to 10 it will take some getting used to, and take Adam making some tweaks here and there until it hits the sweet spot.

Terrible UI, the office section, for example, is unorganized and not streamlined at all like 2016.

 

Can't scroll using arrow keys, which is really annoying and just not intuitive at all, especially with a game like this where you spend 90% of it looking at rosters and available workers etc.

 

Currently on the pre-booking screen and I don't see any of the wrestlers or their pictures, or skills, just a list of their names on the left. Assuming that's a bug.

 

I hate to say it but so far 2020 looks like a stepdown from 2016. I'm not saying this to be mean or negative, I'm saying this because I love this series and I want 2020 to blow me out of the water. I'm not sure if a week is enough time to fix all of these issues, most of which I'm sure I haven't even encountered yet, but this game has a lot of potential so I hope the retail version makes some big improvements.

I've been able to use the arrow keys for scrolling by clicking and selecting the scroll bar itself, have you tried that? After I got that down, the game got a lot more fun.

One of my only real gripes from TEW 2016 was the ass-backwards booking the AI would lay down every now and then. Top of my list for 2020 was for the AI to up its game and book stuff a little more realistically. I'm a sucker for it.

If the AI booking doesn't seem plausible, I rapidly lose interest in the game. No matter how much I'm enjoying the shows I'm booking, if I look at my competitors and their shows don't make any sense, I question why I'm playing the game in the first place.

 

TEW 2020's AI looks to be an improvement over TEW 2016 in some ways but a step backwards in others. Stables are a perfect example. It's a lovely idea but factions are opening and closing without rhyme or reason, and the way the AI uses them is spotty at best. I hope this can be improved.

Playing with a 2016 mod I managed to import and Charlotte and Naomi have main-evented RAW for 4 weeks in a row...

 

AEW has a ladder (and usually table) match every... Single... Dynamite...

 

Stables are constantly flip-flopping because of random heel/face turns...

 

I can go on, but this is the kind of stuff that makes me feel like I'm wasting my time as well :/

 

Hoping it has something to do with me using an older database.

He's in India. If you didn't set India to be on, he's not in the database.

These things happen in the C Verse as well.

 

How do things like attendance and contracts get past testing? A TV shows pulling in 1,500 fans? Okay....

 

Maybe it's just me too, but card ratings seem pretty low. Finding it hard to get over a 72/73 even when I'm having a superbly wrestled Main Event World Title defense between two big stars that is in the low 80's, and my kickoff angle is in the 90's. In 2016 the same card would probably end me up in the B- range.

The AI booking DOES look good though, I just booked my own Raw is War and then checked out the AI’s Nitro results and the show looked really good! Even ended with a Ric Flair post-match attack on Curt Hennig after he lost to him.

 

My major gripe is that our own auto booker doesn’t seem to be anywhere near as good as the AI that booked that card. That’s what I need, I don’t really care how the opposition books, I pay little to no attention to the opposition promotions. I need a good auto booker that can do a lot of the heavy lifting for tv shows.

 

I also have to say all this fuss over the UI is a little overblown. It’s not THAT bad, bar a few small teething issues (scroll bars not working properly, no arrow keys etc) which I’m certain Adam will fix.

I'm sure its been hit home but all the gameplay changes to the game are great, however the AI needs patching. I feel everything feels scattered everywhere compared to tew 16, nothing feels labelled like the previous interface. Additionally the colouring of the database really gives me a headache, the white is blinding and like previously mentioned the font is small so squinting can be a problem. Also i feel a lot of screens feel like a excel spreadsheet compared to previous additions of the top of my head the contracts tab is a massive headache to read through. I cant seem to find any backstage influences when searching through workers compared to 16 in the relationships tab.

I think it absolutely does. I used auto booker to book my first ever card and it booked the new age outlaws vs the headbangers in a bra and panties match and a main event of shamrock and mankind vs DX in a lingerie match

 

Pretty sure it’s to do with the default matches in the database

For me, I keep trying to make a new folder, to import a database. I named my new folder, but it isn't popping up in my files at all.

Do you have any spaces in the folder name? If so, try making it one word.

Can't progress my game any longer. One of my workers is requesting his release and I get a runtime error when I try and deal with the decision.

But for now, can I at least book a show? I've installed two mods and worked on both and every time I try to book an angle, I get a runtime error, and the app crashes.

Hint: real world mods aren't going to work properly unless properly setup. You can't just convert a database and expect the mod to work. They won't, but that is no reflection on the game itself. Try playing the default database for the time being.

This has been a pretty consistent issue with some of the current day real world mods. I converted the Over 9000 mod and it worked just fine.

 

So in time, that bug will likely get fixed.
