Kamchatka's Logos 2020

[The Celt]

Adding some more old and very old logos and alternates to the pile starting off with the slightly more shiny IPW and the ketchup tv show:

 

 

Just one minor tiny thing to point out with this version: It's a common misconception in America to associate "lucky 4 leaf clovers" with the Irish/Irish-Americans because of the phrase "luck of the Irish". The plant symbol normally/traditionally associated with Ireland though is the 3 leafed shamrock, going back to an old tale about St Patrick supposedly using the 3 leaf shamrock to explain the concept of the Christian trinity.

We can see the Boston Celtics correctly using the three leaf shamrock on their uniforms here:

hard to pull this one apart without knowing what you're using it for but here are two options, hope it fits purpose!

Kam please, please, please do CWW. It doesn't need "Wigan" in the name but its begging for a good logo. Yours are different level.

I must admit, being an American I wasn't quite sure what to work with for a Wigan logo. I blatantly stole the crown from Wigan Athletic's badge. I agree it could use something more.

I should probably say that I do like the current one mate ha, I mean it's even my avatar pic! I really want the variation and Kam is exceptional at putting a different slant on things.

I'm using your red TCW logo and banner, and would love to keep on-brand with the TV show.

In other news, im now opening the option of paid commissions for logos, with full price range for different packages listed at the top of the main page.

 

I've tried to figure out a fair pricing based on an affordable design process, at a fraction of my normal rate, keeping in mind that this is in-community for people's enjoyment of an indie game.

I personally feel both the charging and amount charged is against what the nodding community is all about. There are people out there making great logos for free.. charging 15 pound a logo means it costs more than the game to have two logos made. </p><p> </p><p>

People have tried monetising for mods and things for the game in the past and it never really took off for very similar reasons. </p><p> </p><p>

I appreciate the time etc that goes into making a logo for example but just for someone to play on a game with a logo they like you are essentially asking them to pay you half the cost of the game. </p><p> </p><p>

<p>With the greatest of respect Kam (I hold your work in the highest regard) I feel charging for logos could set a precedent and lead to a very slippery slope for other logo creators, rednerers or mod makers and take this superb modding community down a route it may not recover from.</p><p> </p><p>

While I have no idea how much time and effort you clearly put into your work and absolutely admire your talent. I feel charging for logos etc. belongs on sites like fiverr not so much in a modding thread on GDS.</p><p> </p><p>

I hope this doesnt come across as entitled as I genuinely dont want that to be the case but what makes the GDS modding scene thrive as much as it has is the fact its always been community driven for free by people passionate about the game for other people passionate about the game and has been a driving factor in the TEW series being as popular as it has been.</p><p> </p><p>

Again, thank you for all your graft in the logos you've made so far, I can I my speak for myself but you've sparked new life into so many of my games by giving them a fresh coat if paint and if it wasnt for your skin, I wouldnt have been able to play the beta of '20.</p>

Every incarnation of the game Kam makes dozens of free logos for the community, some he makes on his own and some are ideas from others. He makes the logos he wants to makes, the ones that spark an idea immediately. There are dozens, if not more than a hundred, logos that people request that don't get made. Which is to be expected, as all us long time members have seen the sheer number of requests that people make in Kam's threads...I've done it several times myself.

 

So if you wanted a logo that didn't really scream "I need to make this" to Kam and he decides to pass and make something else, you can commission for him to make it, if you really want it. Again, if Kam completely stops making logos to share with the community and only uses this thread for sales...I will agree, but if the commission is simply to make the logos he wasn't gonna make anyways, I see no issue with it.

 

Agreed, big difference between taking commissions for logos and monetizing mods.
