TEW 2020 Small Questions Thread

Recommended Posts

How do I give everyone on my roster a bonus at the same time?

Currently playing WWE 2004 and ever since leaving a lot of people off Mania, the backstage morale has gone to crap.

Doe it as you usually would for one person, put select 'entire roster' from the drop down on the left, next to the value

I guess this was answered a long time ago, but this thread is long so I ask anyway: is there a way to tell the AI to book specific matches on specific shows? Like with the "Main Event is Battle Royal" or "All Matches 5 VS 5" commands in the Event-Editor, but that you can use like a Hell In A Cell Match for the Hell In A Cell PPV or a Time Limit Battle Royal for the Royal Rumble or even all Cage Matches for Lockdown etc?

Unfortunately not

Is there a good way to book a worker like WCW did with Sting at times where some weeks he'd clear house against a stable, but other weeks, he wouldn't be there, which left the crowd calling for him and expecting him, and more excited on the weeks he did show.

Not quite sure the best way for the 2nd part of that. Would it be essentially the same as the first angle, but rated on overness with the worker off screen and the heel stable getting success?

To replicate others talking about him or 'worrying' about him but him not being there, couldn't you have them cutting promo's, even solo, or with another wrestler and have him mentioned (off camera Menace?)? Another option might be to have a quick 1-2 min video 'promo' showing footage from previous weeks (again, either have Sting solo focus, on Sting v. Rival). That would sort of replicate announcers talking about Sting and 'Where is Sting', but he's not actually there. Or announcers hyping up a future match at a PPV...name drop without his presence? Also just a quick 1 min freestyle segment which is a 'sighting' where you just have Sting solo...and it can be him in the rafters (Menace? Acting?)?

Hi.

First up, apologies, I am still on TEW 2016 but I don't know how popular that board is so I thought I'd try in here first. Hoping it's a relatively simple query.

I'm a regional company trying to expand into other areas. Twice I've bought out companies and gained their pop but get hit by reductions almost instantly - even when running shows in the new area and getting good grades.

E.g. pop in Mid-Atlantic is E and I ran a C show and lost 4 pop.

What am I missing here?

Many, many thanks.

How do I manually debut a worker if their debut date is wrong or I want to bring it forward?

I created myself and want to start my own company after simming some history for the universe, but now it's January 2005 and I'm itching to start, only I've set my debut for October 2010.

If I go to the in-game editor and try to change the debut date it says "Invalid data. You can't manually debut a future worker. If you wish to make a future worker active you should set them to debut next month."

I've tried setting it for LAST month, for THIS month, for NEXT month, and for 2 months out, and I still get the invalid data popup and it won't save.

I'm not sure if you're asking if you want to change user characters?

But I went in the in-game editor, and changing the start date for a random worker worked just fine. If you're in January, you need to set it to February. The reason for this is because they can only debut on the first of the month.

Weird. That's what I did and it kept erroring on me in the in-game editor. I tried with multiple different workers (3 as a matter of fact). I'll try again.

Oh...**** my life. I'm in 2006 not 2005. Haha

Sorry for the double post, been doing a lot of alliance things today.

Can you assign a tournament title that belongs to an alliance to always take place at a company's specific show?

Trying to build an alliance that has monthly themed title events at different company's PPVs each month. Any help?

Thank you.

If two companies are in the same alliance, will they trade workers more often if they also have an extremely positive relationship to each other?

It doesn't make them trade more frequently -- it makes them more likely to keep a relationship and agree to certain things but it doesn't increase the frequency of anything.

Nope. This you can't do.

Thanks for the responses!

Is there a way to make companies more likely to trade with each other? I was looking at the business preferences for workers thinking maybe an owner or booker with a certain trait would do it more often but nothing jumped out at me as something that would trigger it. I don't believe there are attributes that would do the trick either

I'm finding it difficult to have multiple companies trade workers with each other unless they are holding an alliance title. Is this just the way the game works or is there something I'm missing to make the world more trade happy?

In addition to the second point, so far I've tried a couple different tactics but when I set up an alliance title that is an annual competition, even if I don't assign it to another company or show, it doesn't run. So do annual competitions as alliance titles just not work?

Thanks again!
