NXT: 879,000</span></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Arial;"> </span></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">

A close battle this week. AEW edged out NXT by just 65,000 viewers.</span></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Arial;"> </span></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">

NXT was up this week from last week’s 844,000. NXT TakeOver: WarGames was this past Saturday, so a bump was expected. TakeOver was headlined by a fatal four way that saw KUSHIDA retain his NXT Championship over Tommaso Ciampa, Karrion Kross, and Velvetreen Dream in his first defense after winning the title last month. This week’s episode of NXT Wrestling was main evented by a championship change, as Mercedes Martinez defeated Charlotte Flair to win the NXT Women’s title. The match was a strong contest that is averaging a 75 rating among critics. </span></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Arial;"> </span></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">

AEW is down from last week’s 1,024,000, which saw Bulletproof take on Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston & Homicide in the main event. This week’s Dynamite was headlined by AEW World Champion defeating Doc Gallows in a nontitle match, but the rest of the card was not nearly as strong as last week. The only other match of substance was Matt Hardy vs. Davey Boy Smith Jr which ended in a rare DQ. Three squash matches and a couple other matches between undercard wrestlers gave way to a weaker Dynamite. However, with the go-home show for Full Gear next week, headlined by Death Triangle vs. Cody & The Young Bucks, there will almost certainly be a huge bump in viewership. </span></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Arial;"> </span></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">

Wednesday Week 4, November 2020

Attendance: 5,183

<div style="padding: 10px; border: 8px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #FFFFFF; max-width:60%; ";">

AEW Dark Results:

1. Lance Archer def. Lee Johnson (53)

2. Bea Priestley def. Starlight Kid (23)

3. Chris Hero & Calvin Tankman def. Dr. Luther & Timothy Burkman (39)

4. Britt Baker D.M.D. def. Christina Von Eerie (37)

5. Kip Sabian def. Griff Garrison (22)

6. Jungle Boy def. Robert Anthony (51)

<div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(255,215,0);"></div>

It’s the go-home show for Full Gear THIS SATURDAY! We have a packed card here tonight. The announcers ran down the card for the show, which is headlined by Death Triangle vs. The Elite! Plenty of action coming your way!

<div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(255,215,0);"></div>

1. Darby Allin & Wardlow & SCU (Sky & Kazarian) def. The Dynasty – A fun eight-man tag team opener! This was the Dynasty’s first match together as a complete unit, but they would fall to their makeshift opponents. MJF avoided Wardlow for the entire matchup, and instead sent his new bodyguard Hammerstone towards him whenever he could! Those two are facing off on the Full Gear Buy-In in case you had forgotten! One person MJF did fight was Darby Allin, the TNT champion and his opponent in three days. The finish came when Wardlow ended Richard Holliday’s night with a Powerbomb for the pinfall. (65)

The Dynasty rushed up the ramp post match to get away from the winners. Darby Allin and Wardlow were still seething at their Full Gear opponents!

<div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(255,215,0);"></div>

Back from commercial, the AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR were cutting a promo from a backstage area. Harwood said they watched the Young Bucks’ interview with Jim Ross last week. He said the champs were personally offended when Matt Jackson said that FTR was the SECOND-best tag team in the world, when we all know that that’s incorrect. They hold the AEW World Tag Team titles, the belts of the most prestigious tag team division in the world. That makes them the best damn tag team in wrestling. It doesn’t matter how many stars they get from Dave Meltzer, it doesn’t matter that they had the so-called best tag team match ever with Page & Omega at Revolution. Wheeler chimed in to say that he really wants to be all jolly and say that they’re going to have the new best tag team match ever with the Bucks in three days, but he can’t say that. He can’t say that because at Full Gear, it ain’t gonna be pretty. He and Harwood are going to beat the hell out of the Bucks. No glitz and no glamour. Just a good old-fashioned ass-kickin’. (57)

<div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(255,215,0);"></div>

2. Kenny Omega def. Michael Nakazawa – This one was sad. The man Kenny brought to AEW was absolutely demolished by that same man. 1:42 of pure hell that was ended with a V-Trigger to the back of Michael’s head. Poor guy. (67)

<div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(255,215,0);"></div>

The AEW production team gave us a top-notch video package of the upcoming Matt Hardy vs. Lance Archer match. It focused on Jake Roberts’ formation of the Snake Pit and Hardy’s allegiance with Private Party. Each week it seems, Hardy has gotten beat down by Archer or someone else in the Snake Pit. After weeks and weeks of that, Hardy will look for revenge at Full Gear! (51)

<div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(255,215,0);"></div>

The Good Brothers were interviewed by Trish backstage. She asked them how they feel going into their tables match with Eddie Kingston & Homicide at Full Gear. Gallows responded by saying that they won’t get themselves caught up with a couple of NERDS like those two thugs. Anderson said that come Full Gear, they will emerge victorious which means one thing: they are on their way to an AEW World Tag Team Championship match! (37)

<div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(255,215,0);"></div>

3. Orange Cassidy def. Sammy Guevara – A remarkable match to say the least. Two of AEW’s homegrown talents went at it fast and hard. Lasting over 14 minutes, they absolutely laid into each other with no remorse. Both men can withstand a ton of pain while also dishing it out. The finish came when the Best Friends appeared at ringside to ward off the Inner Circle, leading them on a goose chase to the back which left Sammy alone with Orange. Sammy was yelling up the ramp to his teammates when he turned around just in time to eat a superkick to the jaw from Cassidy! That was enough to put him away as Orange Cassidy comes out on top! (74)

<div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(255,215,0);"></div>

AEW World Champion Jon Moxley was walking into the arena when he was approached by Alex Marvez for an interview. Marvez asked Moxley if he feels ready to face the unpredictable Cleaner Kenny Omega at Full Gear. Mox called that a dumb question from a smart man like Marvez. He said of course he’s ready, he kicked his ass at Full Gear last year and he’ll be happy to do it again.

Before any more words could be spoken, Kenny came sprinting into the cameraframe with a mop in hand! He walloped Mox in the back with it, sending the champion down to his knees. He went for a V-Trigger to Mox’s face, but Mox ducked, sending Kenny flying overhead. Both got to their feet and just started brawling. A whole host of security and staff tried to separate them, but they kept throwing haymakers over and over! Eventually, they were able to quell things as a group of security dragged Kenny away out of frame as Moxley hopped up on top of a car, holding his belt high and asking Kenny if he was ready to go through hell once again! (73)

<div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(255,215,0);"></div>

4. Hikaru Shida def. Emi Sakura – The former AEW Women’s World Champion came to fight tonight, disposing of her veteran opponent in less than ten minutes. The crowd still loves Shida, who is attempting to fight back into the title picture. (53)

<div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(255,215,0);"></div>

Eddie Kingston & Homicide were in the locker room. Eddie said that usually he’s the one who does all the talkin’, because he loves to yap, but tonight he wants to hand it off to his partner Homicide.

Homicide said that he’d keep this short and simple. At Full Gear, he’ll have no issue with sending of those two marks through a table no question. But that’s not what he’s hear to talk about. He said he’s been doing his thing in wrestling since 1993. All those years of blood, sweat and tears poured into a business that didn’t love him back. Every night he goes to sleep and part of him doesn’t want to wake up because those morning aches have turned into agony. He chuckled and said it’s all been worth it though. All those years led to him to right here in All Elite Wrestling. Wrestling in front of thousands of fans is the best job he would ever have. But this Saturday, that job comes to an end. After all these years, it’s time to lace up the boots, put the bandana away and finally be the father he should be. Win or lose, Full Gear is it, but he’ll be damned if he goes out looking up at the lights! (51)

<div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(255,215,0);"></div>

5. Brian Cage def. Jake Lander – You know the drill. (43)

It wasn’t long after the bell that Taz entered the ring with a microphone. But before he even brought the mic to his mouth, Hangman Adam Page hopped the barricade ringside and blindsided Cage! He put the boots to him before hitting a fisherman’s suplex on the big man! Taz attempted to stop him but Hangman’s angry look caused Taz to flee! One Buckshot Lariat later and Hangman stood tall to the delight of the Sacramento crowd! (60)

<div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(255,215,0);"></div>

6. Tenille Dashwood & Nyla Rose def. Kris Statlander & Nyla Rose – The heels come out on top! Dashwood pinned Statlander, the champion, three days before their match at Full Gear! She now has clear momentum heading into the contest. Don’t forget about the other two, who have a match on the Buy-In this Saturday! All four women shined bright here in one of the best women’s matches in AEW so far! (56)

<div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(255,215,0);"></div>

Mr. Brodie was backstage with Austin Gunn and his other usual followers. He told Billy that his son isn’t coming home, because that is no longer home. His new home is with a family that cares about him and wants him to succeed. A group that is grooming him for superstardom. Within years, Austin Gunn will be a champion. What has Billy done for him in AEW? Nothing. At Full Gear, Mr. Brodie said that he will finally put an end to the old man and finally break that final connection to Austin’s past life. (47)

<div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(255,215,0);"></div>

7. Death Triangle def. The Elite (Cody & The Young Bucks) – An absolute classic! Insanity from start to finish in this 22 minute main event! Death Triangle came out on top after Pentagon Jr. pinned Nick Jackson following a Cradle Piledriver. Cody and PAC went back and forth in a more grounded style as their respective partners went balls to the wall with flippy sh*t. The Sacramento crowd adored every second of this as nearfall after nearfall kept them on their toes! (81)

Death Triangle stood tall as the final Dynamite before Full Gear came to a close! What an awesome show Full Gear has shaped up to be! Tune in THIS SATURDAY at 7pm for the Buy-In!

AEW Full Gear 2020 Preview

Baltimore, MD

Saturday Week 4, November 2020

<div style="padding: 10px; border: 8px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #FFFFFF; max-width:65%; ";">

Lance Archer vs. Matt Hardy

A feud full of violence and hatred. While Matt Hardy claims to be “Stronger Than Death,” Lance Archer is more than happy to remind him that in the end, “EVERYBODY DIES!” This rivalry has seen the formation of Jake Roberts’ Snake Pit, a collective of badass wrestlers: Davey Boy Smith Jr, The Butcher and The Blade. The fivesome have made Hardy’s life a living hell. Private Party have been there to back up their mentor, but time after time they are outnumbered and fall short. Will Matt Hardy finally get his redemption on Lance Archer?

Nyla Rose vs. Thunder Rosa

The Native Beast takes on Thunder Rosa! Rosa’s AEW debut sent shockwaves through the wrestling world, but a loss at All Out in the six-way title match has saw her momentum stall. Nyla Rose was in the same boat, as she saw her momentum halt after losing the AEW Women’s World title to Hikaru Shida earlier this year. Now with both women heating up on Dynamite, they will meet at Full Gear in a match that has huge contender implications!

Hammerstone vs. Wardlow

HOSS FIGHT! Two of AEW’s bruisers meet on the Full Gear Buy In in what will certainly shape up to be quite the hard hitter! Hammerstone’s arrival in AEW was as part of the Dynasty, MJF’s group of talents that all meet his rigorous qualifications. Wardlow previously served as MJF’s bodyguard for over six months, but was blamed for MJF’s loss to Jon Moxley at All Out in a match for the AEW World Championship, and was consequently beaten down by MJF. Hammerstone has been viewed as Wardlow’s replacement for MJF, due to their similar roles. Coming off a loss to MJF on The Match Beyond special edition of Dynamite, Wardlow is certainly pissed off and looking to kick ass and take names.

Tag Team Tables Match: Good Brothers vs. Eddie Kingston & Homicide

Full Gear 2020 will open with a tag team tables match! The Bulletproof duo of Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson will face Eddie Kingston & Homicide in what has been revealed to be Homicide’s retirement match, win or lose. The Good Brothers came to AEW as backup for Kenny Omega after he went full-Cleaner following his and Hangman Adam Page’s title match loss to FTR at All Out. Bulletproof has been excellent thus far, and their leader is main eventing Full Gear against Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship! Although Eddie Kingston & Homicide already had tons of fan support coming in, the announcement that this will be Homicide’s last match has only sent more support their way!

Trios Match: Best Friends vs. The Inner Circle (Jericho/Santana & Ortiz)

Six man tag team action between six incredible athletes! Chris Jericho and Orange Cassidy renew their rivalry from June, except this time they have brought their friends along for the ride! The feud sparked back up when the Best Friends team of Chuck Taylor and Trent defeated Santana & Ortiz on Dynamite three weeks ago! Then on the go-home show this past week on Dynamite, Orange Cassidy was able to defeat Jericho’s Le Sex God partner, Sammy Guevara! Best Friends come into this match with all the momentum, but if there’s one thing for certain about Chris Jericho, it’s to never count him out!

Mr. Brodie Lee vs. Billy Gunn

What a journey this has been. This is a story of betrayal, manipulation, and family. It started in Week 3 of July when Mr. Brodie declared his intentions of expansion for the Dark Order. The next week, Austin Gunn lost a match to Chris Hero and his recruitment began. After a series of more losses, a match was made for Austin Gunn vs. Colt Cabana at All Out. After Cabana’s win, Austin joined the Dark Order by turning on his father Billy. Since that day, Billy has been on a mission to save his young son from the manipulative Mr. Brodie and the Dark Order. Billy has taken down the deputies of the Order one by one, and now will come face to face with the man who stole his son! What will the outcome be, and more importantly, how does Austin Gunn fit in to this match?

AEW TNT Championship: Darby Allin © vs. MJF

MJF has rebounded from his first and only singles loss in AEW to Jon Moxley at All Out by defeating everyone in his path, including his former bodyguard Wardlow. He brought in the Dynasty and has been on a path of destruction. Now, he has his eyes set on the TNT Champion, Darby Allin! These two are at the top of ANY future stars list, and will meet for the first time in the history of AEW! Another title loss for MJF could perhaps cause him to go even more mad, but a loss for Darby Allin will put an end to an incredible reign that started at High Stakes in October!

AEW Women’s World Championship: Kris Statlander © vs. Tenille Dashwood

Kris Statlander will face her most formidable foe yet in Tenille Dashwood! Dashwood’s arrival in AEW quickly led to her climbing the rankings to earn a title show at Full Gear! Statlander has had an awesome reign thus far, winning the title in a six-way match at All Out and then defeating former champions Hikaru Shida and Nyla Rose en route to this matchup. Dashwood is 6-0 in AEW thus far!

Brian Cage vs. Hangman Adam Page

Following the loss to FTR at All Out, Hangman has not been the same. He disappeared following The Elite’s loss in a trios match to Bulletproof, only to reemerge as the fifth man in The Match Beyond with the Elite vs. the Inner Circle. He was the key to their victory, and seemed to have more momentum going forward but the very next week on Dynamite, he went to a time limit draw with Brian Cage! The Machine and Hangman brawled all over the arena following the bell, and now they meet once again to see who will come out on top!

Cody vs. PAC

The last time these two men met in the ring, PAC defeated Cody to win the TNT Championship! That was back in July, and since then Cody has been on a rampage. He teamed with his Elite brethren to win The Match Beyond, he beat Chris Jericho at All Out, and now he has another singles match on pay-per-view! PAC and the Lucha Bros have been on quite the tear of their own, including a win this past week on Dynamite over the Elite in trios action. This match may very well steal the show!

AEW World Tag Team Championship: FTR © vs. The Young Bucks

What needs to be said about this match? It’s YEARS in the making. It was teased on social media. It led to cease and desists. It gave FTR their name! Finally, years later it is time for them to finally meet, two on two, in the ring! Back when they first started teasing this match, All Elite Wrestling wasn’t even a thought in anyone’s minds. It was over a year away from the idea even being presented! The build to this match has also been excellent. After FTR won the AEW World Tag Team Championships from Page & Omega at All Out, the team went on a “tour” against the tag team styles they deem inferior. They beat the Motor City Machine Guns, MexaBlood and even the Lucha Bros! After fending off those teams, they laid out the challenge to the Bucks, the biggest offenders of tag team wrestling according to FTR.

AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley © vs. Kenny Omega

At High Stakes Night Two, Kenny Omega blindsided the champ after his defense against Chris Jericho. This kickstarted one of the hottest feuds in the history of AEW as Kenny Omega’s friends in the Good Brothers constantly fought with Eddie Kingston & Homicide as their two leaders collided week after week! It was one year ago at Full Gear 2019 that Jon Moxley pinned Kenny Omega 1-2-3 in the main event! BUT, that match was a Lights Out unsanctioned match that played to Moxley’s favor. One year later, they once again main event Full Gear! Moxley has been AEW Champion since February and has put away all in his path, but no one in pro wrestling is as hot as Kenny Omega is right now!

Wednesday Night Ratings Report: Week 4, November 2020

By Jim Valley | @jimvalley | Thursday Week 4, November 2020 6:30 PM

STLTihW.jpgt7aLRVU.jpg

AEW: 1,083,000

NXT: 926,000

AEW hits 1 million viewers once again after falling to 944,000 last week. The go-home show for Full Gear this Saturday saw a gain of over 100,000 viewers. The main event was a victory for Death Triangle over The Elite, Cody Rhodes & The Young Bucks. Dave Meltzer said last night on Wrestling Observer Radio that it was the second-best Dynamite match ever, behind only the Kenny Omega vs. PAC ironman match from February. Early predictions show Full Gear having the highest buyrate of any AEW pay-per-view yet, so the big increase in viewership was expected.

NXT this week was headlined by Io Shirai going over Dakota Kai. This match was also heavily praised on social media after the show went off the air. This is the second week in a row having a women’s match main event, and the move has been commended thus far. The NXT women’s division is the best in America right now, and there is no sign of that changing. AEW seems to be putting more focus on the women, and Cody tweeted that soon their division will be the gold standard in not America, but the world. For that to be the case, a lot of work still has to be done.

FULL RESULTS:

2. Kenny Omega def. Michael Nakazawa

3. Orange Cassidy def. Sammy Guevara

Lance Archer vs. Matt Hardy

These two have been going back and forth since September! But now for the first time, they finally meet in a singles match!

Matt Hardy comes out first, dressed in his “Stronger Than Death” attire. No Brokenness, no Team Xtreme. Just Matthew Hardy from Cameron, North Carolina!

Lance Archer storms out next, trailed by Jake Roberts and the rest of the Snake Pit. He teases striking a fan ringside, but pulls back his first and chuckles at the scared bystander. He gets in the ring and paces back and forth as Hardy stares right back at him.

The bell rings and the two sprint at each other with flying fists. Right hands from both men for close to thirty seconds before Archer just tosses Hardy back into his corner. Archer sprints at him but Hardy ducks and the big man goes chest first onto the turnbuckle and stumbles backwards, getting caught in a roll up! He kicks out at two, and is angry as all hell!

The rest of the match sees Archer destroy Hardy, but the Murderhawk can’t seem to put him away! Hardy is resilient, and after every nearfall gets back to his feet and begs for more. Hardy is able to lay Archer out with a Side Effect, but Davey Boy Smith Jr. distracts the referee so no count is made! The Butcher & The Blade hop on the apron in the meantime, but Private Party SPRINTS in from the back and they each pull a leg down from the men on the apron, causing Butcher & Blade to smack face-first on the ring apron! Davey Boy runs over to join the commotion, and a brawl breaks out!

Isiah Kassidy slips out and hops up onto the barricade, balancing all the way to the end and leaping off with a Swanton onto all the men ringside! Shades of a certain Hardy Boy! Matt Hardy has taught them well!

In the ring however, Archer is back on his feet and grabs the hair of Hardy, who kicks him in the gut and almost hits a Twist of Hate, but is just laid out with a lariat! Archer then hoists him up for the Blackout and destroys him with the move. He bounces Matt’s head off the mat three times and pins him for the victory!

Nyla Rose vs. Thunder Rosa

Thunder Rosa comes out first, draped in a Mexican flag and a face half-painted similar to the Road Warriors. Nyla is out next, already seething at the mouth!

The match plays out very old-school, with Nyla Rosa playing the (native) beast and Rosa playing the hero-in-distress. Rosa used her technical skills to stay in the contest, but Rose eventually would overcome her with pure strength.

The finish comes with Nyla Rose going for her patented leg drop with Rosa draped across the middle rope, but Rosa avoids it, causing Rose to land hard on her butt. Rosa stands up on the apron and connects a kick to Rose’s head when she stood up! Two more kicks and Nyla stumbles backwards onto her back. Rosa goes to the top rope and hit a picture-perfect moonsault! She locks Nyla into her Dragon Sleeper, and Nyla passes out! A victory for Thunder Rosa on the Full Gear Buy In!

Wardlow vs. Hammerstone

HOSS FIGHT!!!

Hammerstone comes out first, flanked by Richard Holliday and Ricky Starks. No MJF this time, who must be preparing for his TNT title match with Darby Allin later tonight.

Wardlow receives a HUGE pop, way bigger than any other match he’s been in. The Mid-Atlantic crowd loves the big man!

The match is very reminiscent of a All Japan King’s Road match, with plenty of strike exchanges and tests of strength. Both men are incredibly strong, but Wardlow eeks out Hammerstone in terms of agility. That proves to be the difference maker, as Wardlow on multiple occasions avoids his opponent’s moves by following the Five D’s of Dodgeball. Hammerstone’s hard fists are dodged and Wardlow follows up with strikes of his own!

Hammerstone looks to have the match won as he goes for a Fisherman’s Buster, but Wardlow escapes the hold and lands a kick to the knee of Hammerstone that brings his down to one knee, allowing Wardlow to nail a Superkick right to his jaw! With Hammerstone groggy, Wardlow hoists him up and hits an INCREDIBLE Splash Mountain Powerbomb on the huge Hammerstone! One three count later and Wardlow is victorious!

Holliday and Starks climb onto the apron, looking to go after Wardlow, but the winner looks ready for another fight as he dares them to get into the ring! The Dynasty thinks better of it and instead grab their fallen partner and escape to the back as Wardlow soaks in the cheers.

Elimination Tables Match

Good Brothers vs Eddie Kingston & Homicide

Eddie Kingston & Homicide kick off Full Gear with an electric entrance. Oozing swagger, the two New York natives play to the crowd for a good few minutes.

The Good Brothers come out next, dressed in black clothing with logos that are reminiscent of their time in other companies.

As soon as the bell rings, Eddie and Homicide slide to the outside and grab tables from ringside. Eddie sets his up immediately and Homicide attempts to do the same but the Good Brothers got to him too quickly. Eddie comes to the rescue of his partner, leading to a brawl all around the ringside area. Quite the way to kick off the show!

After a few minutes of that, they all arrive back in the ring and continue the match there. The match is just a wild brawl with little in the way of scientific wrestling. Tornado rules and tables cause such shenanigans.

Kingston is almost eliminated when Gallows hoists him up for a powerbomb, but Homicide moves the table just in time to save him! Gallows and Anderson attack Homicide, but Homicide escapes through the ropes and grabs a chair from ringside and smacks Anderson in the stomach with it! Gallows smartly backed off and slid back into the ring, but by this point Eddie was back on his feet and gives him a back fist to the jaw! Gallows drops to his knee, allowing his opponents to double team him with a double suplex through the table!

Gallows is eliminated!

Eddie goes back to ringside to grab his other foe, but Anderson has recovered and was playing possum. He hit Eddie with a microphone that was on the announcers’ table, and then goes back into the ring to brawl with Homicide! The two go back and forth with a strike exchange of their own, and Homicide wins it with a series of forearms to the ear of Anderson! Karl crumples and Homicide sees his opportunity! He lifts him up and his a Vertebreaker! Anderson is out cold! Eddie has recovered and brings in a table and lies Anderson across it. Homicide goes to the top and after a moment of remembrance of his long and successful career, hits a moonsault for the victory!

The fans go wild as the heroes take down their opponents. After months of bloodshed between Bulletproof and Moxley’s crew, including a storied main event later, Eddie Kingston & Homicide put away the Good Brothers on PPV.

Eddie Kingston grabs a microphone, the same one Karl hit him with.

“Baltimore, listen up! My brother just had his last match tonight. I say it every week man, I spent eighteen years tryna make it to the big time. But my brother Homicide has been GRINDIN’ a helluva lot longer than that. Since ’93! All these years later homie, we made it. We made it to the big time. I want all of you to remember this man for everything he put into this business. My partner loved a business that never loved him back. Until AEW. Until you fans got my boy and myself signed. Homicide, brother, this business loves you back.”

The two embrace as the crowd chants “THANK YOU HOMICIDE!”

Best Friends vs. The Inner Circle

“YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL ON THE INSIIIIIDE!”

The Inner Circle comes out first with the crowd of course loving Judas. Jericho is flanked by Santana and Ortiz, his trusted amigos who would do anything for Le Champion, and the other two members of Jericho’s Inner Circle, Sammy Guevara and Jake Hager!

The Best Friends entrance is par for the course, with Chuck and Trent arriving to the stage first with Orange Cassidy slothing behind.

Santana and Trent start with some quick moves and holds and transitions and reversals and *deep breath* more moves and reversals and holds.

Trent gets the best of him, causing Santana to tag in Jericho. In response, Trent tags in Orange! The crowd goes absolutely insane as the two face off once again! It’s the usual routine: hands in pockets, kicks, yada yada but this time Jericho is tired of it and hits him with forearms. Orange responds with some of his own, and the two have a strong style exchange! Jericho wins this one, knocking Orange to the ground and stomping on him until all four other guys come in to make it a big schmoz!

The rest of the match is standard; all six men get their spots in, including Ortiz’s amazing back rake pose. The finish arrives when Jericho calls for Hager to toss him Floyd the baseball bat, but the referee sees it and scolds Jericho. Orange saw an opportunity to hit Jericho in the back during the conversation, but Jericho moved and Orange hits Paul Turner with a splash! Jericho hits a Codebreaker on Orange and holds his arms behind his back and calls for Santana to get Floyd! Hager complies and tosses it to Santana. Santana goes for a swing at Orange’s chest, but he escapes and Jericho is hit straight in the collarbone! Santana is starstruck, and the Best Friends take him and Ortiz out! Paul Turner recovers just in time for Orange to pin Jericho 1-2-3!

Miscommunication by the Inner Circle has cost them the match! Jericho is furious, screaming at his partners! The group leaves up the ramp, with Jericho red as Clifford! He is throwing a fit, knocking over barricades and parts of the set at the entranceway!

Mr. Brodie Lee vs. Billy

It’s time! After losing his son to the Dark Order at All Out, Billy looks to defeat the final boss of the cult: Mr. Brodie Lee!

Billy is out first, with a rejuvenated spirit. He is back on pay-per-view! He plays to the crowd before coming back down to earth to save his son.

The Dark Order arrives, with Mr. Brodie leading Colt Cabana, Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, Alex Reynolds, John Silver, and Austin Gunn. Mr. Brodie, dawning a white robe, orders the group to leave except for Cabana and Austin.

Billy can’t take his eye off of his son, who refuses to look his father in the eye back. The bell rings and Mr. Brodie runs over Billy as the Ass Man is distracted. Mr. Brodie tosses him around the ring, striking him and suplexing him over and over. He quickly goes for his Discus Lariat, but Billy ducks and hits a series of chops and strikes that cause Mr. Brodie to lean on the ropes. Billy runs the ropes to hit a clothesline over the top, but Mr. Brodie recovers in time to lunge at him with a clothesline from hell!

The mission has failed. Mr. Brodie has defeated Billy. After three months of going through the Dark Order one by one, the final boss was too much for him.

Mr. Brodie orders Cabana and Austin into the ring. Mr. Brodie goes ringside to grabs two chairs. He hands one to Austin and orders him to attack his father. Cabana sits Billy down in the other and holds his arms behind the chair. Austin nods to Mr. Brodie and takes a moment before lifting the chair high above his head…

AND HE HITS MR. BRODIE!

The Exalted One crumples! Cabana lets go of Billy and runs at Austin but Austin hits him in the stomach, and then on the back! Austin then goes back over to Mr. Brodie and hits him over and over and over! The crowd is going absolutely insane!

The rest of the Dark Order comes out but Billy is back on his feet! Silver and Reynolds storm the ring but they are met with chairshots! The same goes for Uno and Grayson! They all escape the ring and pull Mr. Brodie out. The group retreats up the ramp as Billy & Austin Gunn stand tall to a huge ovation from the Baltimore crowd!

Billy has saved his son!

Darby Allin © vs. MJF

It’s time for the AEW TNT Championship match!

MJF is out first, this time without the Dynasty who are still reeling from Hammerstone’s loss on the Buy In. He doesn’t seem phased though, as he struts out with his usual swagger and disdain for anyone but himself. He still is clutching the Dynamite Diamond Ring, over one year since he won it.

TNT Champion Darby Allin arrives to the tune of Wicca Phase Springs Eternal. The crowd loves every second of his entrance. Darby is fired up, screaming at the top of his lungs and he ascends the turnbuckle, belt around his waist. He’s known as the future of All Elite Wrestling, and the future is here!

Speaking of next big things, MJF is smirking and dismissing his opponent. He waltzes around the ringside area and even starts flirting with a lady ringside. He asks for a kiss on the cheek, and the lady is happy to oblige but MJF pulls away and shoos her away!

When the bell rings, JR talks about this match being between two men who will dominate AEW for the ten years, to which Excalibur says that is very well may be the next twenty years given their combined age being less than JR’s and Tony’s!

The first few minutes are very technical, with Darby’s quickness allowing him to come out on top on the first few occasions, but MJF’s psychology and awareness allowed him to start catching Darby before he could slither away. MJF is playing the heel role about as well as anyone can, toying with Darby and the crowd at the same time. A slap here and a kick here followed by the priceless smirk. The crowd is eating it up, booing MJF and going insane for Darby.

The middle portion of the match sees both men get equal offense. MJF tries to keep Darby grounded but Darby is relentless, constantly hitting absurd dives and throwing himself around like a ragdoll.

Darby sweeps out the leg of MJF and hits three consecutive quick elbow drops before ascending to the top for a Coffin Drop, but MJF avoids it!

Darby smacks down hard on his back, and MJF attempts to take advantage of this with an Oklahoma roll, but Darby kicks out!

The two men go into the finishing sequence, which sees them go into a strike exchange with MJF coming out on top, and he goes for a Double Cross that Darby spins out of into a snap hurricanrana! He goes back to the top for a Coffin Drop, but MJF follows him to the tope for an AVALANCHE GERMAN SUPLEX!

Darby lands right on the back of his head! MJF goes for the cover…

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

MJF is the new AEW TNT Champion! He pins Darby after a crazy avalanche German suplex!

Referee Aubrey Edwards hands him the title as he smirks at the title then peers to the crowd. He stands up and screams “I AM THE BEST! I AM THE CHAMPION!” before smirking again, closing his eyes, looking up and holding the TNT title high to the sky!

Kris Statlander © vs. Tenille Dashwood

AEW Women’s World Championship Match!

Dashwood gets a quick video of her debut in AEW and her quick rise to the top. She comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd as they want to boo the heels, but they love Dashwood.

Kris Statlander comes out to a huge pop. The Alien from the Andromeda Galaxy is a fan favorite.

The women start quick, running the ropes and exchanging holds. Tenille has the momentum through the middle act, wearing down the champion and drawing heat from the sold out 30,000 seat arena in Baltimore. Kris starts a comeback with a delayed strike exchange that draws yays and nays from the crowd. She comes out on top and continues to throw forearms and elbows at Dashwood. Dashwood goes for a vertical suplex, but Kris wraps the leg and cradles her for a two count! They stand up and Kris goes for a suplex of her own that she hits! She then hits a dropkick and a superkick to a kneeling Dashwood! Kris then brings her to her feet for the BIG BANG THEORY!

Brian Cage vs. Adam Page

Brian Cage, flanked by Taz, comes to the ring to huge boos. The Machine is ready for battle as Taz gives him a quick pep talk at the top of the ring. Cage is 2-0 on AEW PPVs, coming out on top in the Casino Ladder Match at Double or Nothing and defeating Darby Allin at All Out.

Hangman Adam Page is out next to the biggest pop of the night! Baltimore loves the Hangman! He’s wearing a bandana across his face, swinging around a rope and wearing an awesome cowboy vest.

The match starts with a brawl reminiscent of the one that caused their draw on Dynamite. Both men’s anger are on display here. Brian Cage wants another shot at the top, while Adam Page is just looking for a shot at all.

The match falls back into the ring and things slow down. Cage has the heat on Hangman for the majority, and shows his athleticism with a variety of flips and dives that wow the Baltimore crowd. Hangman fights out of a headlock with punches to Cage’s midsection, and hits a standing dropkick to even the odds.

The finishing sequence begins! Cage goes for a lariat but Page ducks and hits a superkick to Cage! Cage crumples and Hangman is thinking about something….

He pulls down his kneepad, and points at Cage…. But then thinks twice and pulls his kneepad back up. He hits one more superkick before going to the apron for a Buckshot Lariat!

Hangman puts away Cage but something is clearly on his mind…

Cody vs. PAC

PAC is out first, flanked by his Death Triangle brethren. The three pose at the top of the ramp before PAC sends them to the back.

Cody is out next, with his usual insanely overbooked entrance. He comes out with Arn Anderson, Brandi Rhodes, and Diamond Dallas Page. The four pose at the top of the ramp as Cody rips off his American Nightmare shirt and tosses it to the crowd. He kisses Brandi, shakes DDP’s hand and walks down to the ring with the Head Coach of the Nightmare Family.

The bell rings and the crowd is already in love! This is the first time these two have ever met (the land of the entertainers does NOT count!) and the Baltimore crowd is firmly behind Cody!

The two lock up and begin a very technical wrestling match! Exchanging holds, playing to the crowd, a very mid-Atlantic type of affair. Things pick up as PAC goes for a standing moonsault that is blocked by Cody’s knees. He goes for a Cross Rhodes, but PAC twirls out with an arm drag that sends Cody reeling to the outside. PAC wastes no time and immediately hits a tope suicida to the American Nightmare! They brawl on the outside, with PAC sending Cody headfirst into the ringsteps, a move that busts Cody open!

With Cody bleeding from the forehead, PAC seizes the opportunity by just punching away at the cut. Cody’s blonde hair is turning red, similar to a certain nature boy. He fights back however, chopping PAC’s chest a series of “WOOOO!”s from the crowd before hitting a Bionic Elbow on PAC! The crowd is going crazy for Cody as he rips off his weight belt and throws it into the crowd!

Cody is fired up and hits a Cross Rhodes!

PAC kicks out! Cody is frustrated now and goes for a Figure Four, but PAC rolls him up!

Cody kicks out at two! The two are back on their feet and Cody is throwing hard rights to PAC’s head! PAC is dizzy now, and Cody hits another Cross Rhodes!

BUT CODY ISN’T FINISHED!

Instead of going for the cover, he successfully locks in the Figure Four Leglock! PAC is SCREAMING in pain but won’t quit! He flips it over to gain the advantage, but Cody is quick to roll back! PAC is writhing around….

AND HE TAPS!

Cody has made the bastard submit! What a crazy match! Cody’s blonde hair has turned red as he lies down on his back to regain his wits. The Lucha Brothers come out and help PAC limp to the back.

Cody struggles to climb to his feet and eventually gives up and stays on his knees. The Mid-Atlantic territory means a lot to him for obvious reasons. He kisses the mat, and looks around to the crowd as he stays on his knees.

All of a sudden, the lights in the arena go out…

There are a few faint cheers from the crowd as it is clear something is happening. The lights come back on about eight seconds later and a man is standing behind Cody. The crowd goes ABSOLUTELY BONKERS as they realize who it is! The camera is shaking, the announce team is freaking out.

Cody is out, face down on the mat! Adam Cole stands above him with a huge grin on his face. He looks around to the crowd moves to the center of the ring. He squats down, takes a second, and immediately stands back up and yells,

“ADAM COLE BAY BAY!”

As the crowd yells along in what is clearly the loudest Bay Bay of all time.

Adam Cole is All Elite and has immediately went after the head! (78)

FTR © vs. The Young Bucks

The biggest tag team dream match of all time is here! After four years of teases, crosspromotional references and more, it’s time! It’s FTR vs. The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championships!

We are treated to an insane video package before the match to Animal I Have Become by Three Days Grace. The video includes highlights of the origin of the name FTR on Being the Elite, the arrival of FTR to AEW and their subsequent first faceoff with the Bucks (58).

Enough of the hype, it’s time for the match.

The Young Bucks come out first, hyped as hell. Money falls from the ceiling all across the ramp and crowd as pyro shoots off everywhere.

The champions arrive next, driving their old truck down into the arena. They get out and stand on top of the truck to a mixed reaction from Baltimore. The crowd is split basically even for the two teams.

The match starts and both teams wait a second to soak in the applause. The crowd is already chanting “FIGHT FOREVER!” and “THIS IS AWESOME!” and “A-E-DUB!”

Matt and Dax lock up and the beginning of the match is respectful and clean. Clean breaks, reversals, frequent tags, the like. The Bucks are respecting the rules, with FTR mocks by sarcastically clapping whenever they tag in their partner. Good stuff.

The match picks up when Cash Wheeler whips Nick into the champs’ corner and they double team the Buck, leading to Nick’s brother sprinting across the ring and causing a brouhaha. The match devolves into chaos as they brawl ringside and start to tear the house down. Matt gets whipped into the barricade ringside, hurting his constantly-injured back. Nick is left alone in the ring now as the champions work him over for the next five minutes. They frequently tag in and out and put Nick into a variety of holds. Nick fights back with a quick roll up followed with an enziguiri to Wheeler’s head!

Both men are down and it’s hot tag time! Matt gets into the ring and goes on a rampage, hitting move after move, ending with a 450 Splash to Dax Harwood! But Harwood kicks out!

All four men get into the ring but the Bucks throw Harwood out, leaving just Wheeler. Wheeler attempts to fight back but is eventually overwhelmed. The Bucks hits a double Superkick and then go for the Golden Trigger!

AND THEY HIT IT!

ONE!

TWO!

HARWOOD BREAKS IT UP!

The match continues! The Baltimore crowd bit hard on the nearfall. Harwood fights for his partner and is able to dispatch of Matt by hitting a Backstabber. Matt rolls out of the ring as now FTR has Nick all alone!

The champions seize the opportunity by hitting a double Fisherman’s Driver and then Wheeler goes to the top!

SPIKE PILEDRIVER!

Harwood goes for the pin!

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

FTR has done it! They have won the dream match! They have beaten the Young Bucks to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships!

FTR celebrates as the crowd gives them a standing ovation. Matt gets back into the ring and helps his brother to his feet as the two men stare down each other. The Bucks offer a handshake. FTR stalls for a second before shaking their hands.

BUT NO!

They clothesline their defeated opponents! They lay out the Young Bucks and pose above them with the championships!

Jon Moxley © vs. Kenny Omega

<iframe width="250" height="200" src="
frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Before this match, we receive another video package, set to the tune of I Hate Everything About You by Three Days Grace, of the long and storied history between the two. Going right back to Moxley’s debut at Double or Nothing 2019 when he sent Kenny Omega off the poker chips to end the show, they have been rivals since the very first show.

They met in the main event of last year’s Full Gear as well, a brutal Lights Out match that was won by Jon Moxley after Kenny’s face splatted onto exposed wood after a failed Phoenix Splash.

The challenger comes out first, flanked by his Bulletproof factionmates. He sends them to the back and poses at the top of the ramp to a wave of boos. Baltimore does not like The Cleaner!

Jon Moxley’s music plays as the cameras pan to find him. He comes out of a random spot in the crowd as they go wild for him! He comes down to the ring as the fans try to reach out for him. He hops up on the announce table and poses with the gold.

He slides in the ring as Kenny slyly rolls out. The crowd goes insane for Mox!

Mox takes his belt off and Kenny gets back into the ring for the introductions. After Justin Roberts does so, the bell rings and they brawl! No lockup, no feeling each other out, just a brawl! Rights and rights and rights and more rights! They end up falling out of the ring and brawling more at ringside! Moxley bends over and backdrops his challenger onto the mats! He lifts him up and gives him snake eyes on the barricade! He rolls Kenny back into the ring as the crowd cheers for him.

He goes for a back suplex but Kenny backflips out of it and hits a series of chops and elbows that knock the champ to his ass. Kenny goes for a running kick but Moxley sits back to avoid it and rolls him up for a two count!

The match slows down now with both men exchanging heat segments. Not able to outdo one another. Things pick back up when Kenny hits a Snap Dragon Suplex on his challenger and goes for a quick cover that only results in a two count.

Moxley regains momentum as the two enter a strike exchange, reminiscent of both men’s times in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Moxley wins this one, taking down Kenny with a hard forearm that just straight up KO’s KO. He must’ve learned a thing or two from Minoru Suzuki…

Moxley prepares for a Paradigm Shift but Kenny rolls forward for a pin attempt…

ONE!

TWO!

NO!

The champ kicks out and the match continues!

Kenny kicks Moxley right in the gut as he collapses to his knees. Kenny runs to the ropes and hits a V-TRIGGER!

ONE!

TWO!

NO!

Moxley kicks out again! Kenny is frustrated and goes for another V-Trigger but Moxley avoids it, headbutts his opponent and hits an ELEVATED PARADIGM SHIFT!

NO!!!!!!!

KENNY KICKS OUT OF THE PARADIGM SHIFT!

He is the first man in AEW to kick out of it! The crowd is going ballistic as the champion is bewildered. He stands up and paces around the ring, hands on his head. He goes to lift Kenny up for another Paradigm Shift but Kenny won’t go up! He swings out of it, kicks Mox in the gut and hits a Paradigm Shift of his own!!!

Kenny has a smirk on his face now! He slowly stands up and hits another V-Trigger! But he knows that’s not enough! He deliberates for a second, but then brings Moxley onto his shoulders….

ONE-WINGED ANGEL!

ONE!

THREE!!!!!!

We have a new AEW World Champion! Kenny Omega has defeated Jon Moxley! The champ has fallen! His first singles loss! The Cleaner has conquered All Elite Wrestling!

Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson come out to bring Kenny Omega to his feet. The new champion can barely stand after such a hellacious encounter, but he has done it! Referee Paul Turner hands Kenny the AEW World Championship as Gallows and Anderson hoist him up on their shoulders.

It is a new era in All Elite Wrestling.

NO ONE predicted the debut! Honestly I thought I had hinted at it enough! He's been on my roster since September but this was the right time for the debut. I even hinted at it WAY BACK when I did that article on NXT contracts coming up! And the BTE bit was hard to dissect with the bleeps, but I'm glad it was a surprise to everyone!
