John Greed vs Valiant

 - Big star who just main evented a PPV ...and John Greed.

Kurt Laramee vs Nicky Gilbert

 - I feel this is where Laramee has settled for you, putting over the young guns.

Jack Giedroyc vs Sammy Smoke

 - Standard my boy pick.

Robbie Wright vs ???

 - You gotta pick mystery opponent if it's not against a main event player, you just gotta!

Main Event:

Brandon James & The Crippler vs Joey Morgan & Rocky Golden

 - Honestly, the Rocky Golden theme from the last show means I am never, NEVER, picking him again unless he changes the theme or turns heel with it. Serious go away heat baby.

(BONUS)  Will SWF top the weekly TV ratings this week? No.

Comments on diary / last episode: You get dealt a rough hand last week. most certainly, both with your main event tanking and with the competition going absolutely crazyyyy. But even the biggest and best companies have some stinker main events once in a while! Time to bounce back. Although I will now never forgive Prudence for sandbagging my boy Thomas, hater energy.

Go-home episode before Toronto Takeover

Predictions for SWF SUPREME TV EPISODE 18

John Greed vs Valiant

I think John Greed will be jobbing to your stars until his contract expires

Kurt Laramee vs Nicky Gilbert

Kurt Laramee hasn't done much in the diary, and would be a good scalp for Nicky GIlbert

Jack Giedroyc vs Sammy Smoke

Giedroyc should win here

Robbie Wright vs ???

I'm going to plump for a new big name signing!

Main Event:

Brandon James & The Crippler vs Joey Morgan & Rocky Golden

I can see Morgan taking the fall here

(BONUS)  Will SWF top the weekly TV ratings this week?

No - I'm going to assume TCW spam the new main event they've found

Comments on diary / last episode: Was surprised to see Gilmore/Prudence rate so low. Was that chemistry based? Will be interesting to see if it changes any plans going into Toronto Takeover...

John Greed vs Valiant

Straight forward win for the babyface.

Kurt Laramee vs Nicky Gilbert

While Kurt is charismatic and a decent enough presence, he's clearly a glorified jobber for you at this point.

Jack Giedroyc vs Sammy Smoke

I often teamed Monty and Sammy together in 2016 though Monty has a different team by 2020's file but I struggle to do anything with Sammy on his own. That said, Jack kind'a takes the easy one here.

Robbie Wright vs ???

I bet on squiggles.

Main Event:

Brandon James & The Crippler vs Joey Morgan & Rocky Golden

I'll be contrarian. Let's gamble on the figurehead getting a victory via disqualification because The Crippler is a dick and gets DQ'd.

(BONUS)  Will SWF top the weekly TV ratings this week? No.

Comments on diary / last episode: Joey and Rocky teaming together kind gives me some TCW-vibes from the 2010 data base though Joey's regular partner then was RDJ. As for more of a last show comment, kind'a happy Unleashed Awesomeness got a rep and a victory. I think they could actually use more prominent focus as I prefer them over Starr's group(I as a fan just am not feeling that group yet nor am I feeling Starr leading another group so soon after dissolving the previous one so soon. Didn't land with me even if Mainstream Hernandez is a personal favorite of mine.)

SUPREME TV NEO NETSTREAM.jpg

SUPREME TV EPISODE 18

(Tuesday, week 2, May 2020. Beeghly Center, Youngstown, OH. Attendance: 6300 SELL OUT!)

Valiant def. John Greed (72)

A good match to work the crowd in Ohio. The All-American faced the Eighth Deadly Sin, who did a good job to make the fans angry with his provoking attitude and his cheats. The referee caught Greed doing one of his tricks and warned him of a disqualification. Valiant took over from that point and never looked back. Valiant hit John Greed with the Patriot Missile to win in 10 minutes. Solid victory for Valiant.

stable_hollywooduncensored copia.pngimage.pngJS Hollywood Uncensored copia.pngimage.pngLB Hollywood Uncensored.png

ANGLE: We see the members of Hollywood Uncensored (Hollywood Bret Starr, Justin Sensitive, Mainstream Hernandez and Lenny Brown) in the locker room. Their leader Hollywood Bret Starr tells them that he is confident that Mainstream Hernandez will defeat ZWB at Toronto Takeover because he has already beat him twice this year. Bret Starr puts his hand on Hernandez's shoulder and says "Hernandez is Zimmy's worst nightmare".

At the announcers table, Emma Chase reminds us that ZWB needs to defeat all members of Hollywood Uncersored before he can face the NETSTREAM Intercontinental champion Hollywood Bret Starr and Zimmy has already defeated Justin Sensitive and Lenny Brown (73)

Steven Parker copia.png     Scythe mini.png

ANGLE: Steven Parker steps into the ring. "The Sensational" says, as a Canadian, he is very excited about tthe next event, Toronto Takeover. He says he hasn't forgotten about his recent loss against Scythe. Parker believes that he "would be able to defeat The Reaper with my fellow Canadian fans supporting me". The lights go out for a few seconds and when the lights turn on we see Scythe behind Parker. The Reaper knocks out Parker with a Choke Slam (76)

Nicky Gilbert def. Kurt Laramee (53)

Kurt Laramee's partner Big Smack Scott left the company a few weeks ago and this was the first singles match for him. It was also the first singles match for the Aussie prodigy, who has a groundswell of support and is getting more popular every single day. They tried to steal the show but they fell short, specially with Laramee not looking good in this match. The King Of The Streets went for the Switchblade Powerslam, but The Natural dodged it and quickly came with the Fisherman's Suplex to win in 10 minutes.

Eric Eisen mini.png     image.jpeg

ANGLE: SWF booker Eric Eisen enters the ring to talk about Toronto Takeover, which will take place this Saturday. Eisen says that this new event is very important for SWF and many stars will be present, including Canadian wrestlers such as Mainstream Hernandez, Steven Parker and Toronto native Angry Gilmore in his quest to become the first 4-time SWF North American champion!  (72)

Jack Giedroyc def. Sammy Smoke (52)

It was all about storytelling but it never worked well. Jack Giedroyc had an off night and could not heat up the fans enough at any point in this match, while Sammy Smoke was only good at using his trash talk to make Giedroyc lose his focus. Sammy Smoke wasted too much time complaining to the referee. After Smoke botched some moves and the fans had lost their interest in this match, which lasted for too long, Jack Giedroyc connected on Smoke with the Crashin On to win this match in 16 minutes.

Des Davids mini.png     usa flag copia.png

ANGLE: SWF North American champion Des Davids steps into the ring with the USA flag. The champion says "Angry Gilmore is given too many opportunities in this company. I'll probe, once and for all, that I'm the greatest North American champion this company has ever seen. At Toronto Takeover I'm going to embarrass old Gilmore in front of his home crowd". Davids ends his powerful speech with "thank you, Ohio, and God Bless America!". Boos subside and even a few fans start a timid "U-S-A! U-S-A!" chant (79)

Roderick Remus mini.png

Suddenly, Roderick Remus makes a surprising entrance! The 31-year-old lightweight wrestler from South Carolina is here in Ohio to make his debut in SWF!

Roderick Remus def. Robbie Wright (60)

The King Of Charisma was Remus' first opponent in SWF. It was the second singles match of the year for Robbie Wright. They tried to steal the show and it ended in a decent match. Robbie Wright used his superior power to connect with a  double-underhook DDT on Remus, but the new addition to the roster kicked out at 2. Remus made a comeback combining perfectly his technical skills and his aerial strikes. Finally Roderick Remus finished Robbie Wright with his amazing finisher the Brainbuster Suplex, which was widely celebrated by the fans in Ohio. A victory in his debut in SWF for Remus.

Main Event:

image.pngw/ image.pngThe Crippler mini.pngvst white.pngJoey Morgan mini.pngimage.png

Brandon James & The Crippler def. Joey Morgan & Rocky Golden (82)

The entrances of Brandon James accompanied by his manager Krissy Angelle and The Crippler got the biggest pops of the night, showing that both heels are incredibly hot entering this match before Toronto Takeover. The crowd was ready for a big show and they didn't disappoint.

Joey Morgan and Brandon James opened the match, with Krissy Angelle distracting Joey as much as possible. Brandon James used this to connect the Brandon Bomb Drop on Joey and went for the cover, but Rocky was ready to help his partner. Then Rocky and The Crippler faced each other. The entire building was chanting Rocky's name in this moment and The Pride Of Philly connected some good combinations, but after the initial impulse The Crippler was able to slow down Rocky using holds.

Morgan and James got tagged in again and the tensions between these two are reaching the melting point. It was dramatic when they exchanged hit after hit after hit in the middle of the ring with Krissy Angelle sadistically enjoying each of them at the ringside. But they were very even and The Crippler entered the match again to find a tired Morgan that could not reach Rocky's corner soon enough and was an easy target for The Crippler, who used a standing double wrist lock throw and finished him with the Tombstone Piledriver. Joey Morgan and Rocky Golden left the ring dissatisfied with this loss and they closed the episode looking from the distance at Brandon James and The Crippler celebrating in the ring.

USPW AMERICAN WRESTLING IS BACK ON TOP!!!

iratmay2.png

Nicky Champion def. Rich Money to retain the USPW World title (95) in the Main Event of the best American Wrestling episode of the year so far.

Titan def. Tana The Mighty (66) in the Main Event of TCW Presents Total Wrestling. A disappointing episode that broke the illusions that the previous one had generated.

Brandon James & The Crippler def. Joey Morgan & Rocky Golden (82) in a solid SWF Supreme TV episode. Now SWF heads to Canada for Toronto Takeover, a new event in which SWF booker Eric Eisen has high hopes for.

Kurt Laramee.jpg Dominic DeSousa.jpg Seth Whitehead.jpgRIPW_alt-removebg-preview.png

KURT LARAMEE AND DOMINIC DESOUSA SENT TO RIPW, SETH WHITEHEAD NEW SIGNING

Kurt Laramee and Dominic DeSousa have been sent to SWF's developmental territory RIPW. According to our sources they are in two different situations. There were no further plans for Kurt Laramee after his partner Big Smack Scott left the company weeks ago and SWF believes his experience can benefit the young talents in RIPW. The promising Dominic DeSousa will take a step back to RIPW in order to have enough matches to develop his true potential.

26-year-old Seth Whitehead has left MAW to sign for RIPW. SWF believes he has the potential to reach SWF one day.

All of you were right. When Big Smack Scott's contract came to an end I had no ideas for Kurt Laramee. I've never been a big fan of neither of them but they are getting old and aren't strong in-ring workers anyway. Nicky Gilbert has groundswell of support and can be something special.

@Shmoe II obviously as an AI song it can't compare to Eye Of The Tiger (Rocky's previous entrance) but I wanted to experiment a little bit, maybe I shouldn't have used Rocky for it. Who knows, maybe Rocky could become a new kind of babyface à la Cena or early Roman at some point, but I don't think he's turning heel anytime soon. I'll probably try AI songs again but taking less risk.

@Wrestling Machine what you described is exactly what happened this week. USPW got to 89, but this time we could beat TCW at least.

@Charasmatic Enigma no chemistry involved this time, it was only a problem of poor performance. For the moment, as I've teased a little bit before Eric Eisen took some measures and sent two guys to RIPW. It also can be read as a warning to the roster.

@SIser187 I could have sold Hollywood Uncensored as a The Rat Pack 2.0 and not changing the name, but I've never liked that stable. I like Hollywood Brett Starr as a leader. He kept Justin Sensitive, dumped Fame & Money and chose Mainstream Hernandez and Lenny Brown. I think both of them make sense in this group. Lenny Brown is a Hollywood native and is called "Bad, Bad" after all, turning him heel was a no brainer. And everybody knows you have to go to Hollywood to be Mainstream. I hope that I'll make you buy this group at some point.

Unleashed Awesomeness is Unleashed Awesomeness. We can argue that they should have been given more prominence, but the numbers are they as a group have won 4 out of 4 trios matches in this diary so far.

TORONTO TAKEOVER 2020

Rocky Golden vs The Crippler

 - I know I said I'd never pick him again because of his music but I'm in it to win it baby and Rocky isn't gonna drop a lot of PPV bouts if any.

Scythe vs Steven Parker

 - I want to say Steven Parker maybe wins somehow to extend this feud but again Scythe is a character that won't nor should take a lot of L's.

Mainstream Hernandez vs ZWB

 - Zimmy gotta get to that title match of course

SWF World Tag Team

Hawaiian Crush (Ekuma & High Flyin Hawaiian) (c) vs The Awesomeness (Jefferson Stardust & Huey Cannonball)

 - Hell yeah. The Awesomeness are working hard to get put into the Boy Stable, and I think the whole Unleashed gang need some gold. They have more focus and character than our current champs.

Brandon James vs Joey Morgan

 - The Joey Morgan curse bout to strike again.

Main Event: SWF North American

Des Davids (c) vs Angry Gilmore

 - It's time. The number one boy has to get that four time four time four time. Davids is almost certainly moving on to try crack a higher tier. I wish Gilmore could but it ain't 2010 anymore - and he makes an amazing guy to have other upcoming guys test the waters on their upward prospects. Plus I'm hoping the Eisen's aren't vindictive "lose in your hometown for the heat" types.

(BONUS 1) Which match will have the highest rating?

 - Davids vs. Gilmore. Hometown hero, and they've proven in the past they have it in 'em.

(BONUS 2) Whose entrance will get the biggest pop?

 - I think Gilmore should, but I'm gonna go ...Scythe.

Comments on diary / last episode: A nice way to bounce back with a very solid main event! Kind of odd to see a lack of Remo but we got REMUS. I see you're setting up a Undertaker/Underfaker type thing.

Also, as a note in response to your note about Rocky's song, I appreciate you experimenting and trying out new stuff! You absolutely should and it's your project! It's just most of that particular sound/era of like pop/rap sends chills through my bones. It's a very me problem and not a reflection on you buddy! I like you're using the AI to try to add different and original in-world elements for the characters. Keep it up.

Rocky Golden vs The Crippler

Yeah this one is as straight forward as it gets.

Scythe vs Steven Parker

Steven winning is a thought but I think this is more to build a potential of a bad omen where one of the Canadians gets their asses kicked.

Mainstream Hernandez vs ZWB

Honestly, two of my favorite guys. I'll take ZWB though.

SWF World Tag Team

Hawaiian Crush (Ekuma & High Flyin Hawaiian) (c) vs The Awesomeness (Jefferson Stardust & Huey Cannonball)

I could see it going the other way obviously but...I'm opting for the more fun choice for pure arbitrary reasons.

Brandon James vs Joey Morgan

Let's....try this again. It failed me last month but I'll do the definition of insanity and try again! Joey could be a North American title contender again but I think Brandon could be inserted into either title picture which influences...

Main Event: SWF North American

Des Davids (c) vs Angry Gilmore

The main event. A Gilmore victory here. Parker was the bad omen but...here? The Canadian fans go home happy.

(BONUS 1) Which match will have the highest rating? Des and Gilmore have produced repeatedly for you. I'm sticking with them.

(BONUS 2) Whose entrance will get the biggest pop? Figurehead Rocky then.

Comments on diary / last episode: Roderick Remus eh? Not bad. I don't know if he's the most seamless fit for you but he could add some variety in the middle portions of your card. Also an easily sympathetic story with his brother being an announcer whose wrestling dreams were dashed due to that motorcycle accident. I also recall he's the RIPW play by play man so...there's fun there.

Also I wonder who ends up being Remo's next long term foil down the line. Maybe a turning Des Davids...its very possible there.

Predictions for TORONTO TAKEOVER 2020

Rocky Golden vs The Crippler

Rocky is still the figurehead, so I expect him to win here

Scythe vs Steven Parker

Steven Parker may be on home turf, but Scythe's losses should be few and far between

Mainstream Hernandez vs ZWB

Zimmy moves towards a title match

SWF World Tag Team

Hawaiian Crush (Ekuma & High Flyin Hawaiian) (c) vs The Awesomeness (Jefferson Stardust & Huey Cannonball)

Could see this going the other way, leading to The Awesomeness splitting from Randy Unleashed - but they would also make great tag champs

Brandon James vs Joey Morgan

I got this wrong last month, but I think James gets the win back in Canada

Main Event: SWF North American

Des Davids (c) vs Angry Gilmore

The hometown hero sends the fans home happy, and gets his fourth North American TItle

(BONUS 1) Which match will have the highest rating?

Main Event

(BONUS 2) Whose entrance will get the biggest pop?

It seems to be set up as Angry Gilmore's night, so I'll go for him

Toronto Takeover Gilmore copia.png

TORONTO TAKEOVER 2020

(Saturday, week 2, May 2020. Rogers Centre, Toronto, ON, Canada. Attendance: 37869)

Opening video package with 21st century Canada's treasure Avril Lavigne's song "Complicated" and the face of Toronto native Angry Gilmore in the PPV logo.

"Chill out, whatcha yelling for? Lay back, it's all been done before"  while we see that segment were The Crippler said he could do the same Rocky Golden's does and Rocky challenged him to a match.

"And if you could let it be, you will see" when the lights turn on and Scythe appears behind Steven Parker as he was saying he would defeat him with the support of his fellow Canadian fans.

"Somebody else, 'round every one else" as we see a flashback where ZWB was attacked by Hollywood Uncensored. "You're watching your back, like you can't relax" as we see a brief shot of Joey Morgan fighting Brandon James with Krissy Angelle behind him.

"You tryna be cool, you look like a fool to me" as Unleashed Awesomess are getting booed and SWF World Tag Team champions Hawaiian Crush are looking at them.

And we get to the chorus. "Tell me, why'd you have to go, and make things so complicated?" as we see Toronto native Angry Gilmore in his beginnings wrestling in Japan in BHOTWG. "I see the way you are, actin' like somebody else, gets me frustrated" quickly switching to Des Davids saying he is the best SWF North American champion SWF has ever seen. "Life's like this you, and you fall, and you crawl, and you break, and you take what you get, and you turn it into, honestly and promise me, I'm never gonna find you fake it" as we see a spectacular recap of the 3 times that Angry Gilmore has won the North American title.

The music continues as we see a shot from above of the 37869 fans in the Rogers Centre. It's the 2nd best attendance for a wrestling event in Canada this year, only behind CWA Super Slam 2020 (40737).

ROCKY GOLDEN vs THE CRIPPLER

image.pngvst white.pngThe Crippler mini.png

Rocky Golden and The Crippler are already in the ring to open the show. "Rocky! Rocky!" chants invade the Rogers Centre, but this time are answered by a minority chanting "Lobster Warrior! Lobster Warrior!" as many fans still remember The Crippler working in Canada under that goofy gimmick. The Crippler made a great job to work the crowd using some old moves from his previous work in Canada to slow down Rocky's initial fury. They were very even for the first 10 minutes and the Canadian fans were absolutely enjoying the show singing "S-W-F! S-W-F!" and "This is awesome!".

The Crippler tried to submit Rocky with a Lobster Claw, delighting his old fans and making the rest of the crowd cheer Rocky even more for half a minute until Rocky showed his incredible power to get rid of the submission attempt. Then Rocky made one of his famous comebacks to put The Crippler in serious problems before he went for the Rocky Road... 1... 2... 3!!! Rocky wins and the fans in Toronto are on their feet for an standing ovation!

STEVEN PARKER vs SCYTHE

Steven Parker copia.pngvst white.pngScythe mini.png

Scythe uses a new theme song to make a shocking dark entrance. The Canadian fans are amazed by the level of production that SWF shows in this entrance, a fantastic presentation reminiscent of the best years in the company's history. Scythe's entrance got the biggest pop of the night (83)

As he promised, Steven Parker will try to defeat The Reaper in front of his fellow countrymen in a match that was all about storytelling. Parker avoided as much contact as possible in the first minutes while the crowd chanted his name. Then The Sensational started to speed up his game in order to get more offense with quick strikes. The strategy was so successful that after the first 10 minutes or so, Scythe had made almost no damage to Parker. But when Parker was about to land on The Reaper with another dive, Scythe caught him in the air and slammed him. Then The Reaper delivered a running powerslam and went for the cover, but Parker kicked out at 2.

Parker fueled by the Canadian crowd was able to regroup and later delight the fans again with a great senton. Parker attempted the pin but Scythe kicked out at 1. The Reaper found an opening a few minutes later to connect a sound powerslam and recover the advantage. In 20 minutes, Scythe finished Parker with the Choke Slam. Standing ovation for The Sensational.

MAINSTREAM HERNANDEZ vs ZWB

Mainstream Hernandez mini.pngvst white.pngZWB copia.png

ZWB continues his quest to defeat all members of Hollywood Uncensored in order to face the NETSTREAM Intercontinental champion Hollywood Brett Starr. But if someone has Zimmy's number that is Hernandez, who has already beat ZWB two times this year. And if there's a place where Zimmy won't get all the support of the fans that place is Canada. The fans split between the two wrestlers in this match.

This was a great match full of dangerous aerial spots from start to end. ZWB hit Hernandez with a wonderful 360º splash that was rewarded with "Z-W-B! Z-W-B!" chants, but a few minutes later Hernandez replied with a spectacular shooting star press. Hernandez unsuscessfully pinned Zimmy.

They were very even for the whole bout. When they were about to reach the 15 minute mark, Zimmy tried to connect a double kick but Hernandez avoided it and connected the Super Kick... 1... 2... 3! The crowd was still in shock when Duane Fry at the announcer table was saying "Mainstream Hernandez has defeated ZWB! Zimmy dreams of facing Hollywood Bret Starr for the NETSTREAM Intercontinental champion are broken! Hernandez confirms he is Zimmy's worst nightmare".

image.pngimage.pngvst white.pngJefferson Stardust Unleashed copia.pngHuey Canonball Unleashed mini.png

Hawaiian Crush were making their third title defence in this match. Ekuma and Huey started for their teams. The Hawaiian Strong Man dominated Huey, although there were times where Huey was able to create some space using his agility and superior pace. Ekuma hit Huey with the Hawaiian Crush but it ended in a false finish thanked to his partner. Stardust and High Flyin Hawaiian faced each other later and they were completely even. They took the action out of the ring for a few minutes, enough for High Flyin Hawaiian to amaze the fans with a suicide dive and then they stepped into the ring.

Randy Unleashed copia.png

Suddenly Randy Unleashed made his entrance. The crowd booed him and High Flying Hawaiian made a wrong decision when he turned his back on Stardust. When the Hawaiian turned again he was welcomed with an Idol Kick by Stardust. Huey stopped a slower Ekuma, who was unable to help his partner. The Awesomeness become 3-time SWF World Tag Team champions. They stole the show in 10 minutes of a really good title match. Unleashed Awesomeness celebrate in the middle of the ring while the crowd boos them.

BRANDON JAMES (w/ Krissy Angelle) vs JOEY MORGAN

image.pngw/ image.pngvst white.pngJoey Morgan mini.png

Storytelling was the key of this match. Krissy Angelle and Brandon James were again a perfect nemesis for a hot babyface like Joey Morgan. Big Money had a strong start with a DDT, followed by a mandible claw and the Bradon Drop Bomb, but Joey survived the first pin attempt of the match. Loud "Joey, Joey" chants showed he has a strong fan base in Canada too. Later Morgan connected a clothesline and a takedown to complete a good comeback and then went for a cross kneelock, but James escaped after much struggle.

Krissy Angelle was complaining to the referee all the time and she finally got banned from ringside, a moment that was widely celebrated in Toronto. But James connected with another Brandon Drop Bomb later. Somehow Joey survived the second pin attempt by James unleashing the madness in the crowd. James wanted to finish Morgan with the Big Money Move, but this time Joey dodged it and trapped James in a figure four leglock. James was in pain and had nowhere to go, it was just a question of time and he finally tapped out. Spectacular moment with the entire Rogers Centre cheering Joey during the celebration of one of his most important victories in SWF. Match Of The Night.

DES DAVIDS (c) vs ANGRY GILMORE

Des Davids mini.pngvst white.pngAngry Gilmore mini.png

DAVIDS toronto takeover copia.png

Angry Gilmore comes out with a microphone and no entrance song is played, but the crowd erupts with joy anyway. The Toronto native wears a Canadian flag, as Des Davids had done earlier during his entrance with the USA flag. Angry Gilmore  asks the crowd to sing a cappella the Canadian anthem. A very patriotic moment for the home crowd and an emotional moment for their local hero Angry Gilmore (78)

The most anticipated match of the night was about to start. Davids and Gilmore aim was to deliver a spectacle in this match. Gilmore started dominating with his grappling style, but unfortunately showing Davids' lack of technical skills as well. An early submission attempt for Gilmore with a headlock was interrupted by Davids using his enormous power. Then there was a phase were Davids caught Gilmore by surprise with a tackle and a punt kick. Gilmore kicked out at 1. Around the 10 minute mark, Gilmore delivered a Canadian Destroyer that put the crowd on its feet... 1... 2... NO!

Davids had recovered the advantage a few minutes later and, after a tackle, he razed Gilmore with the Touch Down. 1... 2... NO! The Rogers Centre erupted in "Let's go Gilmore!" chants with most of the fans already on their feet at this point. 18 minutes into the match, they have already lost their stamina but they don't back down. Gilmore benefits from the slow pace and goes for a Canadian Mapple Leaf. The crowd goes "Yes! Yes!" while Davids fights to stay in the match. Finally Davids reach the ropes after an amazing show of strength. A few minutes later, Gilmore prepares for a standing lock but Davids pushes him, the crowd goes "No! No!" as they are reacting to each change at this point, but it creates enough space for the champion for his Touch Down. Duane Fry yells "Where is that energy coming from at this point? Is it over?"... 1... 2... 3!!! Emma Chase concludes "I can't believe it, Duane. What a performance by a great champion in front of this hostile crowd".

Des Davids def. Angry Gilmore (74)

The Star Spangled Banner plays as soon as Des Davids wins the match and the champion can't fight the tears when the referee gives him the SWF North American champion. Des Davids has faced the most hostile crowd in his entire career and has emerged victorious against all odds. A few American fans sing the anthem in the first rows. At the announcers table Duane Fry points out that Des Davids has made history tonight and remarks "this is what we do in SWF, WE MAKE HISTORY". A shot of Des Davids crying singing the USA anthem closes the event.

Seems like nobody saw that plot twist coming. The third time Mainstream Hernandez defeats Zimmy this year.

I could see it going the other way obviously but...I'm opting for the more fun choice for pure arbitrary reasons.

Could see this going the other way, leading to The Awesomeness splitting from Randy Unleashed - but they would also make great tag champs

@Charasmatic Enigma I've already broken a stable (The Rat Pack) so I think it's too early to do it again. Most of you were not sure about it but you thought the titles would change hands and The Awesomeness delivered (with a little help from Randy though).

Let's....try this again. It failed me last month but I'll do the definition of insanity and try again! Joey could be a North American title contender again but I think Brandon could be inserted into either title picture which influences...

I got this wrong last month, but I think James gets the win back in Canada

Brandon James and Joey Morgan have been two unpredictable individuals so far... I like it this way, sorry. LOL! Joey's push is working well though I know some of you think that someone like, for example Mikey Lau, should have been in Joey's position. I think Joey is underrated and is a good all-around worker.

@Shmoe II the Eisens can be tricky, I even thought of doing kind of a Montreal Screwjob with Eric Eisen helping Des Davids... but it didn't work well with what I wanted to do next with Des Davids and Angry Gilmore. @SIser187 and @Charasmatic Enigma send the fans happy was an easy option but make them furious for the next year was more interesting for my plans. The downside was the rating (74), again spectacle aim was a bad pick I guess... I'll try to learn from the fails I've already done.

Keep it up.

@Shmoe II it was difficult to place Remo in the card for Toronto Takeover without blindsiding Davids vs Gilmore, which I thought had to be the Main Event. Remo vs Remus is not a bad idea but Remus will have to make progress before I even consider it. Thank you for the note about my note haha, I'll keep trying.

@SIser187 Roderick Remus has a good story to use at some point, true. Well I think he's a versatile wrestler, let's see how he adapts to SWF. He can upgrade the midcard plus he is perfect for a tag team if I ever need him to fill a gap. And let's say something Des Davids is cooking something.

Predictions for SWF SUPREME TV EPISODE 19

American Machine vs Remo

Champ shouldn't lose in the opening match on TV

Zeus Maxmillion vs ???

I may be wrong here, but there have been a few debuts lately so I'll bet on this being a jobber

Jack Giedroyc vs John Greed

Greed seems to be on his way out

Monty Trescarde & Sammy Smoke vs The Rock City Stars (Rockin' Ryan Turner & Stan Manna)

Named team > Unnamed team

Bear Bekowski vs Valiant

Bear has been a bit of a let down so far, and Valiant is one of your top faces

Main Event:

Atom Smasher vs Robbie Retro

Surprised to see Retro in the Main Event! An interesting match up, but I just can't see 'The Disco Stud' winning a Main Event on Supreme TV

(BONUS)  Will SWF top the weekly TV ratings this week?

No - I think Smasher/Retro caps out at around 80, and one of USPW and TCW seems to beat that every week

Comments on diary / last episode:

A number of shock results! I definitely didn't see Gilmore losing - it begs the question who will be the man to take the NA title from Davids. He's almost gotten too big for the division, so a loss may hurt him more than it helps the next champ. Perhaps a multi man match may be the answer?

I was also surprised to see ZWB losing. I like the idea of Mainstream Hernandez as his 'kryptonite', but again - where does he go from here?
