Monday, Week 1, January 2020

The Supreme Wrestling Federation are the most famous wrestling company in the world and have been the dominant force in the North American wrestling market for almost the entire of the modern era. Run by the famous Eisen family, the company has generally been characterized by a ruthless attitude toward competition and a willingness to poach talent. Their status as undisputed kings of American wrestling was lost in 2015 when they were surprised by the massive growth of USPW. That was compounded by a horrible five year period in which they lost many of their biggest stars and, worse still, saw SWF's founder Richard Eisen forced into retirement by an IRS investigation. Now run by Jerry and Eric Eisen, they've steadied the ship but face the difficult task of taking on the mighty USPW while building up a new generation of home grown talent.

Default C-Verse 2020

SWF are considered to be Large. They are ranked as 2nd in the world.

$30,000,000 available

SWF are rated as having 84% prestige and 78% momentum.

Decision: Invest $11,150,000 in upgrading to 100% training level and facilities in Supreme Wrestling University

Starting storylines

SWF need to have at least 5 storylines with more than 70 heat. We are currently failing this requirement!

Fear the Reaper (87A fresh big money feud in SWF is the World champion Rocky Golden vs the "Dark Reaper" Scythe. Both men have been very strongly booked recently and are hugely over with the audience, so this clash between two extremely hot acts has led to a lot of excitement. For Scythe, working a main event program this early in his career is an amazing opportunity.

Remo vs Valiant vs Rogue (78The SWF does have a peculiar love affair with triangular feuds, the latest being Remo vs Valiant vs Rogue. The long history between Valiant and Rogue brings a real depth to the feud, with Rogue playing both sides as much as he can.

Big Money, Big Problems (72The feud between Brandon James and Mikey Lau should be a good one given that both men are in form, but the fact that Lau is likely to go over is probably the biggest sign yet that James is starting to reach the end of the road and is likely going to be positioned from now on as someone used to get other wrestlers over.

Davids vs Brown (64Lenny Brown has been a huge success since joining the main SWF roster, but his feud with the North American champion Des Davids is his first real test, paired up against a more established performer who is on a hot streak of his own. How the feud goes will give a good idea of where the booking team see Brown's career heading.

Fame & Money vs Hawaiian Crush (58A feud over the SWF World Tag Team titles, the clash between Rat Pack members Fame & Money and the hot new team of Ekuma and High Flyin Hawaiian is a breath of fresh air for the tag division.

Supreme Star Rising (57The Spencer Spade hype train continues to roll on as he has been paired with the veteran babyface Jungle Lord. Given their respective career trajectories, there's no doubt that Spade will go over in the feud, which is exactly as it should be.

American Machine vs Atom Smasher
Comments: Atom Smasher starts with a big win in the first episode of Supreme TV in 2020.  He could be pushed very hard very fast if you choose to do so.

Angry Gilmore & Lenny Brown vs The Crippler & Des Davids
Comments: Gotta pick the USPW alumni.  Push Davids to the moon!

Joey Morgan vs Randy Unleashed
Comments: Should be a great match but Morgan gets the win with a ZWB distraction.

Mainstream Hernandez vs ZWB
Comments: ZWB is a current and future star.  Mainstream can be something but not right now.

Main Event: SWF World Heavyweight Title Shot Match
Scythe vs Valiant

Comments: Scythe is set to feud with Rocky Golden so it makes sense that he wins.  Probably some interference by Remo.

(BONUS) Will SWF avoid getting penalized for having less than 5 stories with more than 70 heat? Nope.  But they will build the storylines they currently have so it doesn't continue.

Comments on new diary:  Looking forward to it, newbiezness!  The evil empire known as SWF won't ever take over USPW but you can try your best.  ;)

Predictions for SWF SUPREME TV EPISODE 1

American Machine vs Atom Smasher

American Machine feels like a tag guy to me, whereas Atom Smasher is a Star

Angry Gilmore & Lenny Brown vs The Crippler & Des Davids

Should be a great match (and hopefully help boost the storyline heat), expecting Lenny to take the fall here.

Joey Morgan vs Randy Unleashed

Could see this going the other way, but I prefer Randy

Mainstream Hernandez vs ZWB

Should be an easy win for ZWB, then potentially a promo to kick off a feud with Randy

Main Event: SWF World Heavyweight Title Shot Match

Scythe vs Valiant

Scythe has a date with Rocky Golden, the only question is who will cost Valiant the match - Remo or Rogue?

(BONUS) Will SWF avoid getting penalized for having less than 5 storylines with more than 70 heat?

Unfortunately No, at least initially. The storyline requirement is really stiff with where the SWF start in the 2020 version of the game. I think once you're up and running it will be fine, but you'll always need to have one eye on it.

Comments on new diary:

Looking forward to it! I've really enjoyed your LAP diary, so excited to see what you can do with bigger characters on a grander stage!

I've updated the starting roster analysis in the 2nd post. Some of you may already know very well SWF but I hope it can be helpful. I haven't included the pictures, I think it will be more interesting to see them for the first time while reading the shows because I won't use the default ones.

Predictions for the first episode of Supreme TV will be open for a couple more days.

SUPREME TV EPISODE 1

(Tuesday, week 1, 2020. Mayo Civic Center, Rochester, MN. Attendance: 7200 SELL OUT!)

Atom Smasher def. American Machine (74)

A match that was intended to work the crowd and went down really well. American Machine connected with the crowd while Atom Smasher showed no mercy and gave his opponent two Radiation Blasts to finish him just for fun while the crowd booed him.

Stable_UnleashedAwesomeness.jpgRandy Unleashed copia.pngJefferson Stardust Unleashed copia.pngHuey Canonball Unleashed mini.png     Joey Morgan mini.png

ANGLE: Unleashed Awesomeness call Minnesota fans peasants. Joey "Minnesota" Morgan comes out to challenge Randy Unleashed (71)

Angry Gilmore & Lenny Brown def. The Crippler & Des Davids (70)

The fans were already aware that Des Davids will defend the SWF North American title against Lenny Brown at When Hell Freezes Over. What they didn't expect was that the veterans Angry Gilmore and The Crippler would steal the show with their performances and the tension created between them during the match. Angry Gilmore connected the Sky High Elbow and pinned The Crippler.

image.png     image.png

ANGLE: Ana Garcia interviews Atom Smasher, who brags about his victory vs American Machine. Smasher says American Machine can't do anything against "The Radiactive Wrecking Machine" (75)

Randy Unleashed def. Joey Morgan (74)

Minnesota native Joey Morgan jumped on Randy to kick off this wild brawl and proudly punished him for his comments against his home crowd. Unfortunately for Morgan, The Awesomeness irrupted into the match to attack him. Jefferson Stardust and Huey Cannonball held Morgan down at ringside to let Randy hit him with his Running Enziguri finisher.

ANGLE: Ana Garcia interviews Angry Gilmore. He is talking about how they won tonight's match when The Crippler interrupts the interview, increasing the tension between them (71)

Mainstream Hernandez def. ZWB (66)

It's been a while since we've seen so many aerial moves in a SWF match. Zimmy got more offense during the match but he finally lost due to an anticlimatic roll-up finish.

Eric Eisen mini.png     Stable_TheRatPack.jpgHollywood Rat Pack mini.pngJustin Sensitive Rat Pack mini.pngMonty Trescarde Rat Pack mini.pngPaul Huntingdon Rat Pack mini.png

ANGLE: Hollywood Bret Starr tells SWF booker Eric Eisen his budies from The Rat Pack, the SWF Tag Team champions Fame & Money, will crush Hawaiian Crush in their ninth defence at When Hell Freezes Over. "The Supremacist" Eric Eisen replies that Hawaiian Crush have been on a roll recently and he expects a very even match (68)

Main Event: SWF World Heavyweight Title Shot Match

Valiant mini.pngvst white.pngScythe mini.png

Valiant def. Scythe (76)

Scythe had been feuding with SWF World Heavyweight champion Rocky Golden for the past weeks. This match feels like a final test before they finally collide. Valiant looked really good in this title shot match.

Rogue mini.png

However, it was a botched interference by Rogue what ruined Scythe's victory when The Reaper received an unintentional low blow.

After the match Rogue still couldn't believe he had helped his enemy get a title shot, while Scythe looked furious. Valiant celebrates with the fans a win that earns him a title shot at the SWF World Heavyweight belt, which means he will face Rocky Golden at When Hell Freezes Over in less than two weeks!

SHOW RATING: 81

ERIC EISEN'S BUSY NIGHT AT GORILLA POSITION LED TO CHAMPAGNE TOAST IN FIRST SUPREME TV EPISODE OF THE YEAR

It wasn't easy, it wasn't nice, but it was smart. SWF booker "The Supremacist" Eric Eisen, a controversial figure for many fans, had a difficult mission heading to the first Supreme TV episode of 2020. After many years of decline, SWF reached the start of the year with only three hot storylines (Rocky Golden vs Scythe, Remo vs Valiant vs Rogue and Des Davids vs Lenny Brown), a clear sign of decadence for what once was the number one company in North America.

But Eric Eisen is a stubborn man and last night he had only one thought in his mind: they'll finish the first episode with at least five compelling storylines at all costs. Then he conceived his plan. All the night's matches would be potential storylines or develop an existing one. All segments would be subject to change during the show depending on the ratings of the matches. Everyone, even the biggest stars, would have to adapt to his strategy. Some workers have described the atmosphere backstage as very stressful and recall Eric Eisen yelling to members of the staff and even wrestlers.

Atom Smasher vs American Machine was the opening match. Eric Eisen relied on their charisma to work the crowd and it went down really well. After this initial success Eric spoke to SWF's figurehead Rocky Golden to cancel an undisclosed angle and told him he would just have a generic promo that night. Then he spoke to Smasher to book an interview with Ana Garcia where he would rant against Machine. Smasher went all out and Eric got another hot storyline.

In the second match Angry Gilmore and Lenny Brown defeated The Crippler and Des Davids. The match was good enough to lift Davids vs Brown's storyline while Gilmore pinned The Crippler to kick off another storyline between then. It was advanced later when Gilmore gave an interview to Ana Garcia that was interrupted by The Clipper, but before that Eric Eisen had to speak to Remo and change his plans for another generic promo. Two for the price of one, although Gilmore vs Crippler still lacks heat. Eric Eisen had his five compelling storylines at this point, but now he wasn't going to stop.

Earlier in the show Unleashed Awesomeness had mocked Minnesota's crowd and Joey Morgan, a Minnesota native, had confronted them. Randy Unleashed defeated Joey Morgan in a match that heated up another feud. After only three matches there were six hot storylines. The plan had worked perfectly but the tensions backstage were evident at this point. Some wrestlers who were booked for the show didn't even participate. A segment between Brandon James and Mikey Lau was cancelled. Primus Allen is rumored to be another one unhappy, reportedly an angle was indefinitely postponed making him angry.

Despite the problems originated backstage, Eric Eisen was seen celebrating with champagne after the show surrounded by his closer collaborators Enforcer Roberts, Joe Sexy, Squeeky McClean and his new signings the Canadian road agents Bryan Holmes and John Maverick, both of them famous for their in-ring knowledge. Apparently Black Hat Bailey and Runaway Train remain in the company but Eric Eisen blames them for some of the latest failures.

Storylines update

Fear the Reaper (87

Remo vs Valiant vs Rogue (78

Big Money, Big Problems (72)

Joey Morgan vs Unleashed Awesomeness (72)

Davids vs Brown (70)

American Machine vs Atom Smasher (70)

THE GOOD NEWS DOESN'T STOP FOR ERIC EISEN AND OLD SWF AS THEY TOP THE WEEKLY TV SHOW RATINGS

Captura de pantalla 2024-02-04 a las 15.57.35.png

Few fans expected such a good SWF Supreme TV episode to start 2020, but nearly no one expected the show would surpass USPW American Wrestling and TCW Presents Total Wrestling in the weekly TV show ratings.

Steve Frehley & Trent Shaffer def. Rick Law & Casey Valentine (77) in American Wrestling's Main Event, while Valiant def. Scythe in a title shot match for the SWF World Heavyweight championship (76) in Supreme TV.

USPW debuted their new 'B' show Night Of Action. Pariah def. Tiffany Jade in the Main Event (70). SWF and TCW have not reacted to this move and it's unlikely that they will release a new show anytime soon.

Prediction results for Supreme TV episode 1

@Toby0618 3/5

@KyTeran 2/5

@Charasmatic Enigma 2/5

@Wrestling Machine 2/5

@angeldelayette 1/5

Thank you for your predictions. I plan a long term predictions contest for this diary with big rewards and two different rankings: one for the total points and another one for the highest percentage (with a minimum participation) to make sure everyone will be able to join the predictions contest.

This was a difficult episode to predict if we look at the results!

LAP will return soon but this diary is going to be different and I hope you'll enjoy this one too 😉 I think the first episode was unexpected and Eric Eisen has many more aces up his sleeve.

The Crippler and Des Davids are already over. Angry Gilmore has cooled momentum and he's a star, I need him over soon as well. Also it was an opportunity to start another feud so I picked Gilmore to pin The Crippler. Lenny and Davids will have to wait until their title match at When Hell Freezes Over to pin each other.

Interesting turn for the Fear The Reaper storyline. Excited too see where you go with it cause Scythe seemed next up.

As @Martel123 this was the biggest plot twist. @Charasmatic Enigma and @angeldelayette expected an interference and you were right, but it was a botched interference this time. Rogue's failure opens up some paths I wanted to explore and also makes things a little bit more complicated to start off. We'll see were this goes, for now I'm just going to say that this is part of long term booking.

The Crippler needs a win back after last week

Jungle Lord vs Spencer Spade

I always push Spencer Spade from day one in my SWF saves, so I'm hoping you do the same haha

James Prudence vs Steven Parker

Could definitely go either way, but going for personal preference this early in the diary

Hawaiian Crush (Ekuma & High Flyin Hawaiian) and Faith & Old Glory (Matty Faith & Masked Patriot) vs The Rat Pack (Hollywood Bret Starr, Justin Sensitive, Monty Trescarde and Paul Huntingdon)

Hawaiin Crush are a great team, so backing them!

Possibly by DQ, but Valiant has a title match coming up and needs the momentum

SUPREME TV EPISODE 2

(Tuesday, week 2, 2020. Haymarket Park, Lincoln, NE. Attendance: 8500 SELL OUT!)

Brandon James & The Crippler def. Mikey Lau & Angry Gilmore (79)

A great 2vs2 match to open the show in Nebraska. The tensions between Brandon James and Mikey Lau grew by the end of last year and there's expectation among fans to see them finally get their hands on each other. But as it happened last week, Angry Gilmore and The Crippler stole the show and this new feud is getting hotter. This time The Crippler got his revenge after getting pinned last week, he hit Gilmore with the Tombstone Piledriver and made the cover to win the match.

ANGLE: SWF booker Eric Eisen tells The Rat Pack he'll book a 4vs4 match tonight to make things more interesting between them and Hawaiian Crush and another tag team of his choosing before Fame & Money defend their SWF World Tag Team titles vs Hawaiian Crush at When Hell Freezes Over (74)

Jungle Lord def. Spencer Spade (66)

The anticipated match between Jungle Lord and Spencer Spade finally took place. Spencer Spade used a variety of dirty tricks during the match but Jungle Lord didn't lose focus and used his superior power to set the tone early on the match. A Jungle Jack-Jammer put Spade to sleep before Jungle Lord pinned him.

ANGLE: Ana Garcia interviews Mainstream Hernandez, who defeated ZWB last week. He dismisses the critics that say his was a pyrrhic victory and says he is underrated in SWF and he is certainly much better than ZWB. He wants to show everyone the only problem is that the fans aren't smart enough to appreciate his great talent (64)

Steven Parker def. James Prudence (64)

"The Sensational" Steven Parker did a sensational job in this match showing his wide range of strikes from aerial moves to holds. "Platinum" James Prudence did his best to slow down Parker and used a couple good locks of his own during the match. Parker connected the Future Shock to beat Prudence.

image.png     Des Davids mini.png

ANGLE: Ana Garcia interviews SWF North American champion Des Davids about his next title defence vs Lenny Brown at When Hell Freezes Over. The champion says he's not worried about Lenny Brown because he won't have Angry Gilmore to do his job when they meet one on one (68)

Hawaiian Crush (Ekuma & High Flyin Hawaiian) and Faith & Old Glory (Matty Faith & Masked Patriot)  def. The Rat Pack (Hollywood Bret Starr, Justin Sensitive, Monty Trescarde and Paul Huntingdon) (73)

Faith & Old Glory were the tag team that Eric Eisen picked to team up with Hawaiian Crush against The Rat Pack. Hollywood Bret Starr had a great performance in this match but unfortunately for him the rest of The Rat Pack weren't on the same page. Ekuma and High Flyin Hawaiian complemented each other perfectly to lead their team to victory. After High Flyin Hawaiian hit Monty Trescarde with a senton, his massive partner Ekuma got tagged in to finish Trescarde with the Hawaiian Crush. Hollywood Bret Starr furiously stormed out after the match leaving the rest of The Rat Pack confused.

Main Event:

Valiant mini.pngvst white.pngRogue mini.png

Valiant def. Rogue (78)

The former SWF World Tag Team champions faced each other in this match. Obviously they aren't the good friends they used to be after Rogue (Jack Giedroyc then) betrayed Valiant. After his botched interference that unwillingly helped his rival last week earn a title shot at When Hell Freezes Over, Rogue was motivated to inflict Valiant as much damage as possible before the title match and he got more offense to start the match. But Valiant showed his excellent form again for a magnific performance before hitting Rogue with the Patriot Missile. A clean finish for another big win that elevates Valiant's momentum before facing SWF World Heavyweight champion Rocky Golden this Thursday at When Hell Freezes Over.

Angry Gilmore & Mikey Lau vs The Crippler & Brandon James

The Crippler needs a win back after last week

LOL! I rate The Crippler highly, his only problem is he is 46, but that doesn't mean a World title is out of the question. @Charasmatic Enigma nailed it.

Jungle Lord vs Spencer Spade

I always push Spencer Spade from day one in my SWF saves, so I'm hoping you do the same haha

Well I don't feel that urgency since Jungle Lord is cooled and I wanted him to recover a little bit of momentum but I promise you Spencer Spade will have an interesting role in SWF, I hope you'll how I manage him.

Main Event:

Rogue vs Valiant

Possibly by DQ, but Valiant has a title match coming up and needs the momentum

After Rogue's botched interference in the first episode I thought a clean finish would be better and also Valiant reaches When Hell Freezes Over with more momentum.
