Comments on diary / last episode: Interesting to see a heel vs heel and face vs face match, but it should be interesting to see how Rogue, Valiant, Scythe and Rocky go from here, and how their characters evolve. Hell of a diary so far, hope you continue, reminded me how fun the SWF is in the default data.

WHEN HELL FREEZES OVER 2020

(Thursday, week 2, 2020. Colorado State Stadium, Fort Collins, CO. Attendance: 41200 SELL OUT!)

Opening video package with Sephyx's song "When Hell Freezes Over":

"Slippin' through the cracks of eternity, reaching out to the impossible" starts the song while we watch Rogue's botched interference and Scythe looking furious at him. Then Des Davids and Lenny Brown exchanging blows during their 2vs2 match.

"Feelin' afraid to witness what's to come, crashin' beneath the surface of sanity" says the song as Hollywood Bret Starr storms out after The Rat Pack lost the 4vs4 match against Hawaiian Crush. After that we watch The Crippler getting pinned by Angry Gilmore and then Gilmore getting pinned by The Crippler.

"Where shadows loom and cold winds blow, a fading light with no place to go, a voice so faint I heard it fine, will I be free or stuck in my mind?" while we see a recap of the feud between Brandon James and Mikey Lau.

"Am I dreaming in ashes, or will I rise above?, can I escape these chains, when hell freezes over?" as we watch Valiant's pinfalls against Scythe and Rogue and then Rocky Golden raising his finger in the air and holding the SWF World Heavyweight belt with the other hand. Valiant looking at the horizon closes the video.

When the video ends, Rogue and Scythe are in the ring for the opening match. A top-down shot shows the 41200 fans filling Colorado State Stadium.

ROGUE vs SCYTHE

Rogue mini.pngvst white.pngScythe mini.png

After Rogue's botched interference cost Scythe a title match, "The Reaper" was looking to this opportunity to take out his frustration on Rogue. Scythe put a dominant performance from start to end that was full of high-impact power moves like spinebusters, suplexes and powerbombs. Rogue behaved cowardly during the match, trying to avoid as much contact as possible. Scythe finished his opponent with a Choke Slam for an imposing victory to probe he is a force in SWF.

DES DAVIDS (c) vs LENNY BROWN

Des Davids mini.pngvst white.pngLenny Brown mini.png

A good wild brawl where Lenny Brown used his athleticism to put the champion in trouble, surprising a more powerful Davids with a spear early on the match and sending him against the barricade a couple of times. But Des Davids is a nature freak and, as strong as he is, he is also quick and he woke up to match the challeger's motivation and energy and started to deliver his powerful moves. After 15 minutes of relentless action, Des Davids hit Lenny Brown with the Touch Down.

Des Davids def. Lenny Brown (73)

FAME & MONEY (PAUL HUNTINGDON & MONTY TRESCARDE w/ Hollywood Bret Starr and  Justin Sensitive) (c) vs HAWAIIAN CRUSH (EKUMA & HIGH FLYIN HAWAIIAN)

image.pngimage.pngw/ Paul Huntingdon Rat Pack mini.pngMonty Trescarde Rat Pack mini.pngvst white.pngimage.pngimage.png

After The Rat Pack lost a 4vs4 match in the go-home episode before the event and Hollwood Bret Starr stormed out after the match, The Rat Pack's leader Hollywood Bret Starr was at the ringside accompanied by his sidekick Justin Sensitive. Hawaiian Crush are hot right now and they know it, the crowd reacts well to their tag team moves and they show their good chemistry during this title match. On the other side, the champions Fame & Glory are feeling the pressure during this defence and Hollywood Bret Starr's hostile attitude isn't helping them. Bret Starr sends Sensitive to interfere in the match but High Flyin Hawaiian send him out of the ring with a fantastic flying kick. Ekuma destroys Monty Trescarde before hitting him with the Hawaiian Crush and pins him to win the titles. Hollywood Bret Starr loses his mind after the match and kicks the barricade repeteadly before leaving the ringside, leaving the rest of The Rat Pack behind again.

Hawaiian Crush def. Fame & Glory (69)

ANGRY GILMORE vs THE CRIPPLER

Angry Gilmore mini.pngvst white.pngThe Crippler mini.png

After taking part in two great 2vs2 matches in the last two weeks, Gilmore and The Crippler are finally one on one and it was a good match as everyone expected. The match had phases where they showed their technical skills with takedowns, headlocks, leg locks and even The Crippler went for the Full Nelson. It was the longest match of the night reaching the 20 minute mark, but in the end it was Angry Gilmore who hit one of his finishers, the Sky High Elbow, to defeat The Crippler.

Angry Gilmore  def. The Crippler (74)

BRANDON JAMES (w/ Krissy Angelle) vs MIKEY LAU

image.pngw/ image.pngvst white.pngimage.png

One of the most anticipated matches in the last months in SWF and they didn't disappoint the fans. Brandon James' manager the superhot femme fatale Krissy Angelle was there to support her client as usual. "Big Money" Brandon James made his presence felt from the beginning as the big star he is in SWF, but "The Dragon" Mikey Lau after a slow start connected his great martial arts' strikes to balance the match. The crowd went crazy as the match became a wild brawl until Brandon James hit Lau with the Brandon Drop Bomb. After the match, Krissy Angelle raised Big Money's hand and kicked Lau with her knee high boots while he was still laying on the ground while Brandon James smirked and the crowd booed them.

ROCKY GOLDEN (c) vs VALIANT

image.pngvst white.pngValiant mini.png

image.png Ana Garcia: Please welcome the most famous wrestler in America, the SWF World Heavyweight champion Rockyyyyyyyyyyy Goooooooooolden!

image.png               rocky golden n1.png

Rocky Golden makes an spectacular "Eye Of The Tiger" entrance with a golden attire. A video shows the pinfalls for his eight title defences. Rocky Golden enters the stage with one finger in the air to point out he's the best wrestler in America, while at the same time many fans in the crowd hold their #1 golden signs. Rocky Golden sold $2M in merchandising last month. Valiant waits patiently in the ring while "Rocky, Rocky!" chants invade the arena (84)

Despite all of the lights surrounding the champion, Valiant feels confident with his great form and it shows up in a very even start of the match. Soon the chants change to a "Let's go Rocky! Let's go Valiant!" dynamic. Valiant is enjoying the spotlight and around the 10 minute mark seems to have a slight advantage. Rocky throws a couple of punches to the upper body but Valiant takes the blows and later reacts with a great pedigree, but the champion kicks out at 2. The announce table is debating wether Valiant is the most in-form wrestler in the world or not, but they all agree Valiant is in the best form in his career.

Scythe mini.png

Suddenly Scythe makes a silent entrance. Rocky doesn't even notice his entrance but Valiant was looking in that direction and gets distracted. Rocky took the chance to connect a great combination before hitting the challenger with the Rocky Road. In a 15 minutes match the champion retains, making his ninth defence.

Rocky Golden def. Valiant (81)

Scythe mini.png     image.png

Rocky is celebrating with the fans but he still hasn't notice Scythe's presence who slowly walks down the ramp. Finally The Reaper steps into the ring. When Rocky understands the crowd is telling him to look behind him, Scythe is ready to hit him and grab him for a powerslam. Then The Reaper proceeds to destroy the champion with a running powerslam and his Choke Slam finisher before pointing to the SWF World Heavyweight belt with his finger (84)

SWF NOTHING TO LOSE WILL GO HEAD-TO-HEAD WITH USPW STARS, STRIPES AND SLAMS!

When Hell Freezes Over 2020 is usually the first important wrestling event of the year and tonight SWF delivered once again with a good show from start to finish. Rocky Golden and Valiant put on a show in the Main Event and Scythe's assault on the champion after the match was a grand finale for the event. Des Davids' entrance got arguably the biggest pop of the night, the SWF North American champion is money right now, not an easy accomplishment in a night where Rocky Golden made his entrance with Eye Of The Tiger.

SWF booker Eric Eisen and his creative team were happy after the premium event. In fact Eric Eisen decided to change his plans for their next event Nothing To Lose. After a great start to the year for Supreme TV, SWF wants to take advantage of the opportunity. Instead of waiting for another month, SWF will hold Nothing To Lose (could the choice of this event be coincidental?) in two weeks, going head-to-head with USPW Stars, Stripes and Slams!

Eric Eisen announced his decision to the roster and the rest of the staff after the event. The reaction was positive and the Head Booker motivated his troops with a short speech in which he emphasized there is a real opportunity to change the course of history and recover the throne of American wrestling. Rocky Golden was specially happy backstage, after some rumors that he was worried about not taking part in any matches in the first two Supreme TV episodes of the year. Reportedly Eric Eisen told him no one in the world will have two matches as high-profile as him in January. Remo was reassured by Eric Eisen he will have a very important role in the next shows too.

I wanted a title to change hands in the first event of the year and I thought it was the best choice. I think Hawaiian Crush is a natural fan favorite tag team.

If Lau had won this one I think I'd need to work much more on this storyline to build a rematch, as this is one of the starting storylines and I planned to have 2 premium events in January. I wanted to spend that time in other angles.

Could go either way, but since I picked Randy I'll pick ZWB as well

SUPREME TV EPISODE 3

(Tuesday, week 3, 2020. Reynolds Center, Tulsa, OK. Attendance: 8355 SELL OUT!)

Mikey Lau def. John Greed (56)

A match to work the crowd and an opportunity for Lau to bounce back from his loss vs Brandon James at When Hell Freezes Over that didn't deliver. The chemistry between these two wasn't good. After 15 awkward minutes, Mikey Lau hit John Greed with the Scything Side Kick to win the match.

image.png     ZWB copia.png

ANGLE: Ana Garcia interviews ZWB, who will face Mainstream Hernandez again tonight. After losing to him and hearing Hernandez claiming he's actually better than ZWB, Zimmy seems determined to defeat Hernandez this time when he says that "actions speak louder than words" (64)

DEMOLITION stable copia.png

Kristen_Pearce_alt-removebg-preview copia.pngAvalanche Demolition copia.pngChill Demolition copia.pngPrimus Allen Demolition copia.png

Before the second match Kristen Pearce, who has been Avalanche's manager since his days in RIPW, introduces a new faction called Demolition. Kristen Pearce announces The Domination (the tag team formed by Avalanche and Chill in RIPW) is back and the destructive force that Primus Allen represents completes this stable.

Demolition (Avalanche, Chill and Primus Allen) def. Oliver Kobb, Robbie Retro and Steven Parker (50)

Demolition faced the trio of babyfaces that were Oliver Kobb, Robbie Retro and Steven Parker. The Domination brought back their tag team moves and proven chemistry to start the match, but Robbie Retro and Steven Parker did a good job and there was a slight advantage for Demolition during the first 3 or 4 minutes. Later Primus Allen got tagged in to face Oliver Kobb and it was a complete squash until Primus Allen finished Kobb with his famous Running Powerslam.

image.png

ANGLE: Rocky Golden is in the ring to deliver a short promo where he talks about his last title defence vs Valiant at When Hell Freezes Over and Scythe's attack after the match. He says he has no preference in the Title Shot Match that will determine the next challenger because he is the SWF World Heavyweight champion and that means he is the best wrestler in America and he's not afraid to defend the title against anyone. This segment wakes up the crowd after a slow start to the show (82)

Joey Morgan  def. Randy Unleashed (74)

Duane Fry comments at the announce table that The Awesomeness aren't present in the arena tonight because they've been chosen to represent SWF in a local late show. Joey Morgan hears what Duane Fry is saying and points to Randy Unleashed saying that he's going to pay for what they did to him in his home state Minnesota a few weeks ago. Morgan completes a great performance and, despite Randy's good moments in the match, he finally defeats his opponent when he applies the Empire Spiral. Randy looks really unhappy after this loss yelling "Jeff, Huey, where the hell are you?".

Joey Morgan mini.png     Randy Unleashed copia.pngJefferson Stardust Unleashed copia.pngHuey Canonball Unleashed mini.png

ANGLE: When Joey Morgan is heading to the backstage Jefferson Stardust and Huey Cannonball come out running down the ramp to assault Joey Morgan. Apparently their participation in the late show finished earlier than expected and they drove to the arena but couldn't arrive before the match finished. Randy joins them later and The Awesomeness held Morgan down to let Randy hit him with the Running Enziguri like they did to help Randy win their previous match (72)

Spencer Spade copia.png

ANGLE: Spencer Spade is in the ring and he's still angry after losing to Jungle Lord last week. "The Supreme Star" surprises the crowd when he says he's got something that will change their opinions about Jungle Lord and proceeds to show a picture of Jungle Lord shitting in the toilet. Jungle Lord is clearly seen surprised looking at the camera in the photo and Spade confirms it was one of his bad jokes when he says he took the photo himself and that "it smelled like jungle there" while he laughs. At the announce table Emma Chase comments that it'll be interesting to see Jungle Lord's reaction  (59)

ZWB def. Mainstream Hernandez (69)

After a roll-up finish the last time they meet, ZWB was much more ready to react to Hernandez's tricks in this match. This was a match full of dangerous aerial moves again and it was better than the previous one, showing this feud keeps gaining momentum. After ZWB survived a submission attempt when Hernandez locked him for a figure four, ZWB delivered his 450 Degree Splash finisher. They are now 1-1 and it doesn't look like this is the last time they'll meet this month.

Main Event: SWF World Heavyweight Title Shot Match

image.pngvst white.pngRogue mini.pngvst white.pngScythe mini.pngvst white.pngValiant mini.png

Scythe def. Valiant, Remo and Rogue (79)

The Four-Way Match between these four titans was the war you expected and tactics played an important role in this match. Scythe set the tone early in the match but Remo, Rogue and Valiant started to work together to take him out of the equation. After that initial phase of the match, Remo and Rogue worked together against Valiant, who fought back bravely and received a lot of support from the crowd. After Remo connected with The Destroyer on Valiant, Rogue attacked Remo finishing their alliance, but Scythe retuned to the ring on time to seize on the moment. Scythe cleaned the ring and pinned Valiant to win the match. A shot of Scythe's face knowing that he'll finally face Rocky Golden at Nothing To Lose in less than 2 weeks closes the episode.

Thank you @Shmoe II. Glad you like this feud and WHFO, I'm happy with how the first event turned out. It's good that you point out the sports entertaining thing because I'll try to exploit the differences between the PG product that USPW is and SWF's sports entertaining without taking it too far. Spencer Spade's last segment is an example. You won't have to wait for too long for Golden vs Scythe, next is the go-home episode and then they'll collide at Nothing To Lose.

That was my idea but what I didn't expect was the low rating they produced (56). I understand that almost everyone thought we could win in the weekly TV ratings again because we had a good card and I think this match is what made us lose.

It seemed like a random match but I didn't want to spoil Demolition's debut. Primus Allen is a big threat, but don't sleep on The Domination, they were something in RIPW, can they translate that to the biggest stage? And of course Kristen Pearce in suit I thought was a cool thing haha.

I could prolongue this much more but it was very obvious that the Fear The Reaper storyline had to end with Scythe facing Rocky Golden at some point, so I thought it was enough with having postponed it for one event.

Also since I put a lot of focus on the initial storylines' problem (remember SWF needs at least 5 storylines with more than 70 heat) I thought an update was a good thing to do:

Storylines update

Fear the Reaper (81)

Big Money, Big Problems (79)

Remo vs Valiant vs Rogue (78)

Angry Gilmore vs The Crippler (75)

Fame & Money vs Hawaiian Crush (73)

American Machine vs Atom Smasher (73)

Joey Morgan vs Unleashed Awesomeness (72)

Davids vs Brown (70)

ZWB vs Mainstream Hernandez (68)

Supreme Star Rising (63
