Predictions for SWF SUPREME TV EPISODE 16

Bear Bekowski vs Rocky Golden

Interested to see what you have planned next for Rocky, as he wasn't on the last PPV. Is he still your figurehead?

Brett Biggins vs Zeus Maxmillion

Without his brother Brett is just a jobber

Faith & Old Glory (Matty Faith & Masked Patriot) vs Fame & Money (Paul Huntingdon & Monty Trescarde)

Hollywood Uncensored need some wins to stay relevant while ZWB runs through the new stable

John Greed vs Jungle Lord

We've not seen much of Greed yet in this diary

Atom Smasher vs Darryl Devine

Atom Smasher could be a good option for Golden's next feud

Main Event:

Steven Parker vs Scythe

Scythe continues to rebuild his aura with a win in the Main Event

(BONUS 1) Will SWF top the weekly TV ratings this week?

No - I'm not sure Parker will score well enough in the Main Event to beat USPW

(BONUS 2) Will SWF win the monthly ratings war for the fourth straight month?

No - See above

Comments on diary / last episode:

Disappointing Main Event at Master of Puppets between two of your biggest stars. Interesting that the North American title match rated best - may be time to move Davids up to the big belt?

Bear Bekowski vs Rocky Golden

 - Kind of surprised to see how much of a backseat Rocky has taken since dropping the belt but I suppose as in real life, it's earned. Expecting him to be a big part of the next PPV.

Brett Biggins vs Zeus Maxmillion

 - Zeus is a new signing, has a look, a character. The perfect guy to get over on a Biggins.

Faith & Old Glory (Matty Faith & Masked Patriot) vs Fame & Money (Paul Huntingdon & Monty Trescarde)

 - They need this.

John Greed vs Jungle Lord

 - I'm not sure why ...Jungle Lord has seemed a bit more defined of a persona so far.

Atom Smasher vs Darryl Devine

 - Kinda hard to pick against a newer signing here but I like others reasonings.

Steven Parker vs Scythe

 - Scythe is on the war path, poor Steven's future isn't looking too bright.

(BONUS 1) Will SWF top the weekly TV ratings this week? Yes

(BONUS 2) Will SWF win the monthly ratings war for the fourth straight month? Yes

Comments on diary / last episode: Enjoyed the PPV, was a very consistent show with some surprises and some logical beats. I'm glad you don't swerve for the sake of the swerve with results. My boys went 1 of 2 so not all was lost.

Bear Bekowski vs Rocky Golden

It's Rocky. No way Bear beats him but it could be a decent brawl. Wouldn't be surprised if this graded out as the best match.

Brett Biggins vs Zeus Maxmillion

This should be a squash.

Faith & Old Glory (Matty Faith & Masked Patriot) vs Fame & Money (Paul Huntingdon & Monty Trescarde)

Taking a risk. I know Fame and Money are a heel cog but...Masked Patriot in particular could be something.

John Greed vs Jungle Lord

Poor Greed. Have a soft spot for him but I think Jungle Lord steamrolls him.

Atom Smasher vs Darryl Devine

Smasher kind'a could use a win. I know Devine is a new signing but he's got a particular ceiling and that's without getting into his injury concerns.

Main Event:

Steven Parker vs Scythe

I think Parker gives better then anticipated but after a show of defiance, Scythe takes him down. Whoever saves Parker from the beating for his defiance could be a feud idea. Just spit-balling there.

(BONUS 1) Will SWF top the weekly TV ratings this week? Not this week. No

(BONUS 2) Will SWF win the monthly ratings war for the fourth straight month? Yes; I think the overall month goes your way barely.

SUPREME TV EPISODE 16

(Tuesday, week 4, April 2020. Strawberry Stadium, Hammond, LA. Attendance: 7399)

Rocky Golden def. Bear Bekowski (62)

The fans in Louisiana were ready for Rocky's second match after losing the SWF World Heavyweight belt but this time it didn't go down well. Rocky had an off night and Bekowski didn't help a bit, resulting in a poor job to work the crowd. Bekowski's aggressive style didn't intimidate Rocky and after an even start, the former World champion set the tone with punches to the upper body and good combinations. Rocky finished Bekowski with the Rocky Road in 10 minutes.

image.png     image.png

ANGLE: "The Radioactive Wrecking Machine" Atom Smasher takes the ring to brag about his last win against Robbie Retro. Smasher is so confident in his current form that he decides to issue an Open Challenge. Smasher waits for half a minute and when he is about to leave the ring "Mighty Fine" Darryl Devine appears to accept the challenge by saying "see you later, Atom" (67)

Zeus Maxmillion def. Brett Biggins (55)

This was Zeus Maxmillion's second match in SWF and also Biggin's second match of the year. Zeus dominated his opponent from cover to cover and Biggins could barely get up after the first couple of minutes. Zeus hit Biggins repeatedly with his superman punches and then went for the Thunder Bolt. Biggins couldn't kick out but Zeus stopped the cover to punish Biggins a little bit more. After 9 minutes of absolute squash, Maxmillion submitted Biggins with the Olympian Clutch.

DEMOLITION stable copia.png Kristen_Pearce_alt-removebg-preview copia.pngPrimus Allen Demolition copia.pngAvalanche Demolition copia.pngChill Demolition copia.png

ANGLE: Demolion make their entrance. Demolition's manager Kristen Pearce takes a mic to announce that Chill is back from injury and makes The Dallas Cowboys responsible for the time Chill has been sidelined (although it's not confirmed that he was injured by them). Surprisingly, Kristen Pearce announces that SWF booker Eric Eisen confirmed her earlier that The Dallas Cowboys will face Demolition in a Handicap Match next week! (59)

Faith & Old Glory (Matty Faith & Masked Patriot) def. Fame & Money (Paul Huntingdon & Monty Trescarde) (66)

Faith & Old Glory did a masterful job in this match to combine their strengths to dismantle their opponents, while Fame & Money looked like two individuals that have lost their focus and chemistry in the last weeks. Despite the lack of coordination, Paul Huntingdon's in-ring quality and pride helped them stay in the match, he saved Trescarde after Matty Faith hit him with the Leap Of Faith. Finally, Masked Patriot finished Trescarde with the Patriot Slam after 15 minutes.

This was Fame & Money's second match since The Rat Pack was disbanded by Hollywood Bret Starr and it was another loss for them. Fame & Money give all the signs that this could be their last match as a tag team, it looks like they've completely lost their direction.

image.png     Hannah_Potter-removebg-preview.png

ANGLE: Mikey Lau is leaving the locker room with a sad face when Valiant's former manager Hannah notices it. Hannah asks Lau and he replies that he feels he has been underperforming lately and he hoped for a break through year in 2020, but it isn't happening. We don't get to see more but it seems like she will try to help him somehow (69)

Jungle Lord def. John Greed (63)

Before this match, Lord was 2-1 in singles matches in 2020 while Greed was 0-3. The Eighth Deadly Sin needed this victory and he tried all of his dirty tricks in the beginning to gain the advantage. Lord complained to the referee but he didn't care and that made his angrier. After a roll-up attempt by Greed, Lord took over and later replied with the monkey business but Greed kicked out at 2. Finally, Jungle Lord delivered the Jungle Jack-Jammer and made the cover for a solid win. They tried to steal the show but they fell short.

Eric Eisen mini.png     image.jpeg     Angry Gilmore mini.png

ANGLE: SWF booker Eric Eisen is in the ring to talk about next PPV: Toronto Takeover, when Canadian wrestler Angry Gilmore interrupts him. The former 3-time North American champion, who lost his title match against the current champion Des Davids at Master Of Puppets, begs for another opportunity. Gilmore insists that nobody in SWF represents Canada better than him and says that Des Davids wearing the USA flag before their match at Master Of Puppets wasn't a bold move for a champion before an important event in Canada. Eric Eisen says he will think about it  (74)

Atom Smasher def. Darryl Devine (66)

Storytelling was the key in this match. Smasher mocked Mighty Fine and Louisiana fans with his poses early in the match, getting booed ny the fans. Devine was good to stay focus in the match and had a strong start using standing locks and grappling to slow down The Radioactive Wrecking Machine. Devine tried to submit Smasher with a leglock but it ended in a rope break. A Radiation Blast by Smasher changed the game, but Devine kicked out at 2. After 16 minutes, Smasher used the Mushroom Cloud to defeat Devine. Smasher celebrated with some poses and got booed as usual.

Main Event:

Scythe mini.pngvst white.pngSteven Parker copia.png

Scythe def. Steven Parker (76)

Scythe's entrance got the biggest pop of the night in Louisiana. The Reaper is on a roll and was looking for his fourth straight win in singles matches. On the other hand, The Sensational has only won one singles match this year. Parker took it personal and displayed great dynamism to start the match with amazing footwork and high pace to surprise The Reaper with quick strikes. Around the 7 minute mark, Scythe clicked to stop Parker with a running powerslam. Despite the pain, the fans cheered Parker and he returned to his initial plan to damage Scythe's knees with two leaping clotheslines. Parker went for the cover but Scythe kicked out at 1.

12 minutes into the match and Scythe delivers a thunderous powerslam. Parker kicks out at 2 and Louisiana fans show they still believes with "Parker! Parker!" chants. But again Scythe catches Parker and this time uses his finisher the Choke Slam... 1! 2! 3! Scythe takes his fourth straight win and Duane Fry yells at the announcers table "The Reaper is on the loose!" to close the episode.

TCW WINS LAST WEEK, USPW TAKES APRIL WAR

april ratings.png

Aaron Andrews & Jay Chord def. Wolf Hawkins & Doc Hammond (88) in the Main Event of TCW Presents Total Wrestling. The Texan company led weekly ratings but probably TCW executives won't be able to explain how they didn't win the monthly ratings war after leading the ratings in 3 out of 4 weeks.

Alicia Strong def. Missy Masterson (81) in the Main Event of American Wrestling to give USPW the victory in April. It's the first time this year that USPW wins in the monthly ratings.

SWF won the three previous months but the weakest Supreme TV episode of 2020 so far didn't help them this time. Scythe def. Steven Parker (76) in the Main Event. It's not necessary to say that SWF booker Eric Eisen wasn't happy about last episode. Eisen decided not to take any urgent measures but we will have to remain vigilant.

Captura de pantalla 2024-04-24 a las 23.54.26.png

USPW Freedom Fight! was the best PPV in April. The first RIPW event of the WrestleWorld era, RIPW Survival 5, took place this month with Deever Arnold def. Hellion (55) in the Main Event.

Cameron Vessey.jpgimage.jpeg

In other news, Canadian star Cameron Vessey has joined USPW. This is the second big signing of the year after Sammy Bach for them.

@Charasmatic Enigma Rocky Golden is still my figurehead. He's still the 3rd most popular wrestler in USA, very close to Remo who is number 1. @Shmoe II that was the idea, to have Rocky in a secondary place for some time, giving Remo time to be perceived as the 4-time World champion he is and making the fans think a little about what is going to happen next with Rocky. @SIser187 I can't even describe how much unexpected that bad rating was, it was devastating for the episode's rating too.

@SIser187 nailed it this time. @Charasmatic Enigma Fame & Money were part of The Rat Pack but the new faction Hollywood Uncensored members are Hollywood Bret Starr, Justin Sensitive, Mainstream Hernandez and Lenny Brown. I wanted to give a big win to Faith & Old Glory and also send the message that Fame & Money are now lacking direction since Hollywood Bret Starr disbanded The Rat Pack and this could be their last match as a tag team.

Smasher has been outstanding this year so far, I thought he was a good candidate for Devine's first loss. Darryl Devine after a strong start in SWF is finding where he belongs in the food chain, he is not Rocky Golden after all!

@Charasmatic Enigma not giving spoilers but I'll reward Davids and Gilmore for their achievement somehow very soon. Remo vs Valiant wasn't as good as I expected but after Rocky's last match maybe it could have been much worse if I didn't move the title to Remo hahaha.

Wow, Rocky's night off was brutal! Looking at those midcard matches, I think few 40+ years old recog/well known wrestlers may go soon!

However, we dominated Q1 2020 so no need to panic for a 3rd place this months. Just get back on track!

That win was great for Des Davids. He says he is the best North American champion ever and he is delivering! Rocky's off night was devastating, at least he wasn't still the champion. Some wrestlers are looking at the dawn of their career, true. Still no need to panic for the ratings, we'll see what happens in the next weeks.

@Shmoe II thanks for your kind words. Maybe there will be more of title changing hands at some point of the diary but I'm happy with the 3 changes we already had. Remo winning SWF World Heavyweight title, Hawaiian Crush winning SWF World Tag Team and Hollywood Bret Starr winning the new NETSTREAM Intercontinental title. Also after a consistent PPV came an inconsistent TV episode 😅

Predictions for SWF SUPREME TV EPISODE 17

Mikey Lau vs Spencer Spade

Hannah's involvement should mark a turnaround in Lau's fortunes, so I'm backing him to win here

Handicap Match

Demolition (Primus Allen, Avalanche and Chill) vs The Dallas Cowboys (Marshall Dillon & Ranger)

The Heel's have the numbers advantage here

Bear Bekowski vs The Crippler

Bear stunk up the joint last week against Rocky, so can't see him winning here

Jungle Lord and Hawaiian Crush (Ekuma & High Flyin Hawaiian) vs Unleashed Awesomeness (Randy Unleashed, Jefferson Stardust and Huey Cannonball)

Unleashed Awesomeness have just kind of been there this diary so far. A loss here could be the start of a break up for the faction.

Main Event:

Angry Gilmore vs James Prudence

Gilmore seems to be heading into Toronto Takeover as the hometown hero, so a momentum boosting win here after losing at Master of Puppets

(BONUS) Which match will have the highest rating?

Main Event

Comments on diary / last episode:

Mikey Lau vs Spencer Spade

Spade doesn't have story and hasn't for a while. Lau does. I think the man with an angle wins.

Handicap Match

Demolition (Primus Allen, Avalanche and Chill) vs The Dallas Cowboys (Marshall Dillon & Ranger)

Primus is the difference maker here.

Bear Bekowski vs The Crippler

Woof. Bear and Rocky wasn't good. I suppose Crippler can get more out of him at least.

Jungle Lord and Hawaiian Crush (Ekuma & High Flyin Hawaiian) vs Unleashed Awesomeness (Randy Unleashed, Jefferson Stardust and Huey Cannonball)

Just a guess. Unleashed Awesomeness hasn't had a lot to do lately but they probably could use a W.

Main Event:

Angry Gilmore vs James Prudence

Two very solid workers. Probably your match of the night. Gilmore also has the story so he gets the W.

Mikey Lau vs Spencer Spade

 - With his segment last week I'm guessing Lau gets back on track with a win here.

Handicap Match

Demolition (Primus Allen, Avalanche and Chill) vs The Dallas Cowboys (Marshall Dillon & Ranger)

 - Numbers game.

Bear Bekowski vs The Crippler

 - Bekowski exists to be a big scary guy who takes L's.

Jungle Lord and Hawaiian Crush (Ekuma & High Flyin Hawaiian) vs Unleashed Awesomeness (Randy Unleashed, Jefferson Stardust and Huey Cannonball)

 - The tag champs seem to be on a roll, I kind of think UA would win here to set themselves up as title challengers but I think they can still do that by getting DQ'd or post match attack.

Main Event:

Angry Gilmore vs James Prudence

 - My boy.

(BONUS) Which match will have the highest rating: Gilmore vs. Prudence. But Lau vs Spade could be a sleeper.

SUPREME TV EPISODE 17

(Tuesday, week 1, May 2020. Munn Ice Arena, Lansing, MI. Attendance: 6237)

Mikey Lau def. Spencer Spade (74)

Accompanied by Hannah, Mikey Lau is in the ring to face "The Supreme Star" to start the show in Michigan. This hasn't been the best year for Mikey Lau so far and Spade tried to use Lau's lack of confidence in his favor. Spade hit Lau with an eye poke and then went for a roll-up, but Mikey Lau kicked out at 2. A desperate Lau looked at Hannah, who cheered him from the ringside. Spade punished Lau with some blows to the mid section and, when the referee didn't have a clear view, he took the chance to hit Lau with a low blow. Somehow Lau kicked out at 2 again. Hannah cheered Lau again and asked the crowd to support him. Hannah's charisma connected with the crowd and Michigan fans chanted "Let's go Lau!".

The Supreme Star called Hannah "bitch", a wrong move from him, infuriating Lau. An amazing flying kick by Lau knocked Spade down, but he kicked out at 2. Lau took over and connected with the Dragon Whip on Spade. 1... 2... 3! Mikey Lau wins in 17 minutes and Hannah runs to hug him.

Krissy Angelle copia.pngimage.png     Joey Morgan mini.png

ANGLE: Krissy Angelle and her client Brandon James take the ring to provoke Joey Morgan. Krissy Angelle says Joey is a much inferior wrestler than Big Money and he just got lucky last time. The crowd booed Krissy and James during the whole segment. Joey Morgan decides to come out to reply that they are 1-1 after Master Of Puppets "not bad for a much inferior wrestler" he says. Then Joey adds "and it will be 2-1 for me after Toronto Takeover!", a sentence that makes the fans happier (70)

Demolition (Primus Allen, Avalanche and Chill) def. The Dallas Cowboys (Marshall Dillon and Ranger) in a Handicap Match (66)

After Chill's return from the injury he suffered against The Dallas Cowboys this handicap match was booked. The Dallas Cowboys have been in great from this year and were good to contain their opponents in the first minutes. Chill and Ranger had a good exchange in the middle of the ring. Demolition's manager Kristen Pearce repeatedly insulted The Dallas Cowboys, making the fans angry. Avalanche and Marshall Dillon were very even until Primus Allen got tagged in. Primus Allen finished Marshall Dillon with the Running Powerslam in a fantastic show of strength. Kristen Pearce and the rest of Demolition got booed loudly while celebrating their victory.

ANGLE: Eric Eisen is in his office when Unleashed Awesomeness knock on the door. Randy Unleashed tells the SWF booker that his buddies The Awesomeness have been impressive lately and they deserve a title shot at the SWF World Tag Team belts at Toronto Takeover. Eric Eisen agrees that The Awesomeness have been great but replies that he wants to see a little bit more. They'll get that title shot only if they beat the SWF World Tag Team champions Hawaiian Crush and Jungle Lord in a trios match tonight. Randy Unleashed insults Jungle Lord, who's been feuding with Unleashed Awesomeness in the past weeks, saying "that fucking old monkey again, Jesus!" before they leave Eisen's office (68)

The Crippler def. Bear Bekowski (60)

It was the weakest match of the night. Bear Bekowski limited his participation to some basic attacks and his aggressive attitude. The Crippler tried to use his technical skills to lift the match but it was a poor performance overall. In 10 minutes, The Crippler submits Bekowski with a chinlock.

Unleashed Awesomeness (Randy Unleashed, Jefferson Stardust and Huey Cannonball) def. Jungle Lord and Hawaiian Crush (Ekuma & High Flyin Hawaiian) (80)

This was undoubtedly the match that saved the day. Huey and Lord had still matters to discuss and they put on a great show to start the match, with Huey delivering some of his best aerial moves and Lord trying to end the match with the Jungle Jack-Jammer, but his tag team partner Jefferson Stardust was there to help Huey.

Ekuma and Stardust went all out exchanging blows in a corner. Ekuma clearly dominated that part of the match and was about to finish his opponent with the Hawaiian Crush but Jefferson avoided it and connected an absolutely gorgeous double kick to send him out of the ring.

Finally, Randy and High Flyin Hawaiian were the legal men. It was an amazing battle full of aerial spots in and out of the ring, with the Hawaiian going for a widely celebrated suicide dive. When the crowd were already on their feet, Randy dodged the Pacific Crush and connected with the Running Enziguri to win the match. Match Of The Night. The Awesomeness will face SWF World Tag Team champions Hawaiian Crush for the titles at Toronto Takeover.

ANGLE: Ana Garcia interviews The Crippler in the ring. During his speech, The Crippler says he did tonight what Rocky Golden did last week, that is to defeat Bear Bekowski, and not only that because The Clipper claims that he did it "much better than him".

Rocky Golden makes his entrance to his classic entrance theme (instead of The Eye Of The Tiger that he's been using since the beginning of the year) and challenges The Crippler: "if you can do what I do much better than me, you'll have to prove it at Toronto Takeover". Duane Fry at the announcers table refers to Rocky Golden as "The Pride Of Philly". This angle got the crowd hotter  (82)

Angry Gilmore mini.pngvst white.pngJames Prudence copia.png

Angry Gilmore def. James Prudence (65)

This episode in Michigan, close to the Canadian frontier, put Angry Gilmore in a perfect spot to hype the next PPV and it was no surprise that he got the biggest pop of the night with many Canadian fans in the crowd. The match was intended to revolve around storytelling. The Canadian veteran Angry Gilmore looking to impress SWF booker Eric Eisen to earn another title shot at the SWF North American belt (in his quest to become the first 4-time champion) facing an always dangerous opponent like "Platinum" who has defeated the likes of Mikey Lau in 2020.

Prudence got booed by the crowd from the very beginning because he never really confronted Gilmore in this match, Platinum tried to avoid as much contact as possible and left the ring several times during the match. Around the 10 minute mark Gilmore was close to win the match with a headlock but, after much struggle, Prudence could touch the ropes.

Gilmore's victory was not a question in this match because Prudence got almost no offense. Finally, Angry Gilmore defeats James Prudence with the Anger Management in 20 minutes. In the end this matchup didn't work well and it was the weakest Main Event in Supreme TV of the year so far. But Gilmore made his case and now SWF booker Eric Eisen has to make a decision, will he give Gilmore another shot at Des Davids' SWF North American title?

Mikey Lau vs Spencer Spade

Hannah's involvement should mark a turnaround in Lau's fortunes, so I'm backing him to win here

Spade doesn't have story and hasn't for a while. Lau does. I think the man with an angle wins.

 - With his segment last week I'm guessing Lau gets back on track with a win here.

Mikey Lau won the opening match as most of you expected, but there are bad news for his relationship with Hannah: they had bad chemistry. We'll see what happen...

Just a guess. Unleashed Awesomeness hasn't had a lot to do lately but they probably could use a W.

 - The tag champs seem to be on a roll, I kind of think UA would win here to set themselves up as title challengers but I think they can still do that by getting DQ'd or post match attack.

@Shmoe II you almost nailed it haha. You didn't know it but it was an opportunity for The Awesomeness to earn a title shot. Unleashed Awesomeness are unbeaten in trios matches by the way.

Gilmore seems to be heading into Toronto Takeover as the hometown hero, so a momentum boosting win here after losing at Master of Puppets

Two very solid workers. Probably your match of the night. Gilmore also has the story so he gets the W.

 - My boy.

I was devastated by the rating of this Main Event! James Prudence had good performances so far, so I gave him a big opportunity to shine... but he responded with an in-ring performance of 47! 😠
