Posted by Larry Csonka on 08.19.2010</p><p> </p><p>

So much for the LAX reunion…</p><p> </p><p>

UPDATE: Homicide commented on his TNA release via Twitter, here is what he had to say…</p><p> </p><p>

my tna days is over, thank u for the staff members and the boys and girls in the locker room, had a great run, bbllaattt187 for life</p><p> </p><p>

yes, hopefully in 4 weeks im 100%, then i make a descion where im going to go and do</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

ORIGINAL: According to Pwinsider.com, TNA has released former X-Division and Tag Team champion Homicide. Homicide had been with the company since 2005. Since Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan came to the company, Homicide had not been used much on Impact, mostly appearing on Xplosion. They shot an injury angle with him, involving Matt Morgan and Hernandez, which was supposed to lead to the return of LAX down the line.</p><p> </p><p>

Homicide recently relocated back to the Northeast, and it is expected that he will work a lot in that area again. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Gentlemen, I may have found a solution to our title problem</strong> <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />:D:D:D:D:D</p>

<p>He said something about hopefully being 100% in 4 weeks? I'm thinking Tyler will be dropping the belt before that, at GBH...to Blanderick. <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

(Unless TNA is interested in bringing in Roddy full-time. In which case, all bets are off.)</p><p> </p><p>

Still, it'd be great for ROH if Homicide came back. There's a void at the top of the card, with Tyler apparently leaving and Aries seeming to be scaling back his workload. They could really use Cide.</p>

I expect they'd want to 'clean' him of any TNA stench and get some steam behind him before putting him in the title picture. I don't really want to see Homicide get the ROH title anyway, because it would likely be another transitional reign and I think something like would give him a label I'd rather he not have.</p>

- ROH talent Skullcrusher Rasche Brown tweeted the following this evening:

"Just quit ROH.... good luck in your future endeavors. Remember, always remain in control! Keep it real 24 7"

Sources indicate that Brown was taken off all scheduled ROH events after he missed the HDNet tapings this past weekend. It is believed that Brown offered to work the shows in Charlotte and Richmond this weekend to make up for missing the tapings, but when he got pulled anyway he decided to quit.

With the recent booking changes in the company, it is expected that there will be some roster changes coming up.

Any specific reason or was it just a case of time to part ways?

Monday night on Twitter, Ring of Honor wrestler "Skullcrusher" Rasche Brown abruptly announced he quit ROH.

"Just quit ROH...good luck in your future endeavors," Brown said. "Remember, always remain in control! Keep it real 24 7."

Brown explained his decision to quit on the Pro Wrestling Report radio show that aired last night on ESPN 540 in Milwaukee.

"This is the deal. I missed a flight for TV (this past weekend's ROH TV tapings in Philadelphia). And, everybody knew I was on vacation. I drove my family on a long trek and I got home and set my alarm for PM instead of AM. So, I woke up as my flight was taking off. I missed the flight," he said. "I rectified the situation, I thought, so I was going to make it there Saturday, but they canceled my other flight back home, so I wasn't going to end up losing more money than I was going to make."

Brown said he was told his punishment was being removed from the Boston house show on September 10 and the "Glory By Honor IV" Internet PPV on September 11 in New York City.

"It's my fault. I said, 'Next week, I'll drive to Virginia and record what they needed for TV on my dime.' No, they did not want to hear that option. Instead, they want to punish men. I'm a grown-ass man; you don't punish me. You don't take me off the PPV and the Boston show. You, Mr. Power Man, say you have to punish me for an accident. You don't have to do that," he said.

"I'm in control of my life; I'm in control of my career. I wasn't invented a year ago when I came to Ring of Honor. That's not where my legacy ends. You don't play that game with me. You accept the mistake I made, I gave you a viable option, and you want to punish me? I believe that's the end of the road."

Brown said he has been wrestling while affected by concussion issues for nearly one year. He said he won't let a promoter control him, especially when he doesn't believe promoters consider his personal health.

"I've been wrestling with post-concussion syndrome for the past nine months and none of these things factor into promoter's thoughts and minds. So, when I see one of my best friends fired for no apparent reason, how expendable am I? I'm not the dude you're going to exploit. The wrestling business does not own me.

"If you cut off your nose to spite your face, I don't want to be part of that," Brown said. "If they ever try to exploit you in this business, you fight back, and that's what I did. I'm not going to be somebody's example for a locker room because that's exactly what the goal was."

Well I mean Necro Butcher is supposed to be on the card tonight. Therefore, how could it not be good?

If he does infact have a match??? ;)

Anyway you are really lucky, it looks like a quality card.

Black vs Daniels should be amazing, and not a bad supporting card with KoW vs Cabanerico, a TV title match, a first blood match and Strong & Aries testing young blood.

I so wish ROH would come back to the UK soon.

Yeah Necro is on the card...The Embassey (Necro and Erick Stevens) Vs Grizzly Redwood and BALLS MAHONEY (yay :D )

I'm totally pumped for Shelton/Hass vs The Kings. A true dream match for ROH fans.

Thats tomorrow night in NY :p

Today he is in a First Blood tag match, Necro & Daivari vs Corino & Steen.

It was a good card. They used a lot of local guys as jobbers but it was still good. MOTN was probably Black vs. Daniels it went to a time limit draw. Black was getting a lot of, "You sold out", "NXT", "Future jobber", "FU Cena" , chants directed at him.

Half way through the match he got on the mic and said (and this is a paraphrase here): "I just realized that I have better things to do than fight in front of you people. With that I am taking my ball and going home." He took his title and started to head towards the back but Daniels blocked him. And then like I said it went to a draw.

At one point in the match Black did the, "You can't see me." and hit Daniels with the Five Knuckle Shuffle. He then put Daniels in the STFU, and part of the crowd were laughing and the rest were booing. After the match ended, Daniels got on the mic and built up Tyler's career in ROH, and said that he and Black should do five more minutes. Black said he time was too valuable to be spent wrestling in front of the marks in the crowd and he left for good.

It is funny because last year I went to the next to last show before Danielson and Nigel left. And it was sort of a celebration of their careers in ROH. However, no such thing happened with Tyler.

The Necro Butcher match was not bad for what it was, just a bloody street fight. Of course Necro was the first one to bleed costing his team the match.

Why don't Danielson and Nigel get "you sold out" chants but Black does?

I really hate the "you sold out" chant. I'm a sell out because I want to make money at this? the NXT stuff was fun though.

Well they are Boston area fans, and well Boston is not the most forgiving to some.:D However, yes I was thinking the same thing. Last year they were going nuts for Nigel and Danielson. They did cheer Tyler a bit when he came out and throughout the match. Other than that they said to him what I said in my previous post.

Boston should be the most forgiving people on the planet given that it took them 86 years to win a World Series Championship I would have figured they'd learn how to be very forgiving in that time period but I guess not.

I will say I never got on board with Tyler Black and have somewhat look at him as the Justin Credible of ROH champions.

Sadly the only time I get to see ROH is the two times a year they come to Massachusetts. My cable does not carry HDNET and I hate watching stuff on the computer for some odd reason. So I have not watched enough of Tyler to form an opinion on him one way or the other.

I really hate the "you sold out" chant. I'm a sell out because I want to make money at this? the NXT stuff was fun though.

A decent chunk of the ROH fanbase had already turned on Tyler months and months before the WWE stuff came up. This just gave them more ammunition to work with.

As for the other two: they loved Danielson, and he'd been in ROH for years and years. They were sad to see him go, but there's no way they'd begrudge him anything after everything he'd done for ROH.

Early in his title reign, Nigel went through the same thing Tyler has been going through. If he'd signed with WWE or TNA back then, he'd probably have gotten the same send-off that Tyler is getting. But he stuck around for quite a bit longer, put together an excellent title reign, and the hate eventually eased up. By the time he left, he was in a similar situation to Danielson (though not to the same degree.) They were sad to see him go, but wished him well.

But Tyler's only been there, what, 3 years or so? And he was right in the midst of his title run when he signed with WWE. There just isn't the sense of loyalty or gratitude for Tyler that there was for Danielson or Nigel.

All that being said, I agree that the "you sold out" chants are stupid. The guy needs to think of himself and his career first and foremost. This is a tremendous opportunity for him, and I don't hold it against him at all. I hope he does well and becomes a big star in WWE, though I have my doubts that he will.

I'd say his reign has been better than Jerry Lynn's and Xavier's, at least. Maybe James Gibson's as well, though that one does get a boost for bridging the gap from the Summer of Punk to Danielson's "Best in the World" run.

Why exactly did Xavier get the belt with all that talent running around back then. AJ Styles, Low Ki, Christopher Daniels, Bryan Danielson, etc.

I pretend like it didn't happen.

I went to last years ROH show in Boston when Nigel and Danielson were leaving. I'm not that huge of a Danielson fan but love Nigel and plus Bret Hart had an autograph signing so I had to be there because he's my favorite wrestler of all time. The crowd went nuts for both guys when they came out and on there way out. It was a damn good show too. It was the night Eddie Edwards broke him arm in a match with Steen.

I'm not a huge Tyler fan I think ROH fans turned on him because ROH waited so long to put the title on him. People wanted him to have the title back when Aries first had it and after a while they got tired of him not winning the title. It was kind of the same situation with Samoa Joe in TNA. They waited way too long to pull the trigger and people were just "eh" about the title run.
