Normally I try to go for typical pump-up metal themes of a certain type but a couple of theme songs I'm really proud of in my SWF game broke away from that mould.

 

The first is Rich Money for whom I chose

which is from the Max Payne 3 soundtrack. It really marks Money out as a different animal to the rest of the workers in SWF which I feel sums up his personality, as that is very much how he sees himself. He doesn't expend time on the senselessly energetic, he is cool and methodical and his theme reflects that.

 

The other is Wolf Hawkins who upon arriving in the SWF with Joey Minnesota was given

. While it is still a metal song at heart it has a far slower pace which fitted in with the Wolf I was trying to portray. Again, he is not the kind of wrestler to sprint to the ring; when he debuted he would stand on the stage and absorb the reaction before stalking the ring very much in time with the purposeful rhythm of the song.

I've always used R.K.L's Betrayed for Vengeance in SWF -- and various other characters. Probably my #1 "go-to" song -- I always imagine the excellent music video playing whenever the creepy/occult/dark heel strolls down the ramp.

 

I've used several Lagwagon songs in the past -- my favorite is probably

for a Heel Enygma.

 

Used

for the Dangerous and Violent Extremists in a USPW Diary. Really, it works for just about any former D.A.V.E. -- or any anti-authority/mainstream character.

 

was used for my British Invasion stable in my current diary. Brilliant opening song for.. any British guys, and maybe Paul Huntingdon.

 

For a more "contemporary" example, I've used [somewhere?] GnR's

for Brandon James.

 

What you're looking for: basically any song with a loud intro vocal and a humming baseline -- repetitive and catchy. This pretty much represents my musical tastes -- mid-to-late nineties punk rock. Oh, and don't give someone something that makes them a comedy character -- like Green Day's Longview -- unless they ARE a comedy character, then go ahead.
