Damn, my memory isn't what it used to be. xD In that case, I hope you enjoy it. :)

I'm not saying you're wrong because you probably know a lot more than me, but I found plenty of results from areas like Winnipeg, Manitoba; Fargo, North Dakota; Denver, Colorado etcetera so it does seem there was a fair/normal amount of events outside of the weekly Kiel Auditorium show. Doing your own multiplayer game sounds awesome, by the way. It may be something I have to try myself. xD

When were those results from, though? When Munchnik owned it, it was just a monthly show at the Kiel or St. Louis Arena. After Giegel and the Central States guys bought it after Munchnik retired (in 1982) they may have ran more of a territory style. It's all in Matysik's book Wrestling at the Chase (which I HIGHLY recommend if you are interested in this era). Again, it's nitpicking and if people want to run St. Louis as a National empire that's their choice and freedom :)

Speaking of Wrestling at the Chase, some other great books to read about this era I would recommend: Wrestler's Are Like Seagulls by JJ Dillon, Gary Hart's book, The Assassin's book and the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fane series (The Heels, Heroes and Icons and The Tag Teams. I didn't think much of the one on The Canadians).

Starting January, 1970 right through the year according to Wrestlingdata.com here; their first show of the year was at Boylan Catholic High School in Rockford, Illinois.

I've read the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame series and I've dabbled with Gary Hart's book, but I haven't touched the others. I've collected a lot of magazines in the process of building Territory Daze but I've surprisingly (somewhat consciously as I don't trust one persons perspective because they can be biased in some cases) not collected a lot of biographies/books.

All the shows for St. Louis Wrestling Club on that page take place in St. Louis. It looks like you may have been looking at the AWA as their first show was:

1970/01/02: AWA @ Rockford

Boylan Catholic High School in Rockford, Illinois (United States of America)

1. Bob Windham vs. Buddy Smith

2. Luke Graham vs. Pepper Gómez

3. Bill Watts vs. Blackjack Lanza

4. Red Bastien and Billy Red Lyons vs. Dr. X and Larry Hennig

This is the first show for St. Louis in 1970:

1970/01/09: Show @ St. Louis

St. Louis, Missouri (United States of America)

1. Thor Hagen vs. The Viking

2. Frankie Hester vs. Mike Rolinsky

3. The Crimson Knight vs. Ronnie Etchison

4. Luke Graham vs. Pat O'Connor

5. Bob Geigel, Waldo Von Erich and Blackjack Lanza vs. Lou Thesz, Tommy Martin and Ernie Ladd

6. 2 on 1 Handicap Match: Baron Von Raschke vs. Wilbur Snyder and Dewey Robertson

7. NWA World Heavyweight Title Match: Dick the Bruiser vs. Dory Funk Jr. ©

Oh there's definitely bias in the autobios but they are great, entertaining reads. The Assassin one, surprisingly so.

By the way, the recent update is tremendous. Really fun!

I think I was suffering from what you'd call a "brain melt" before. xD Sorry, I don't know why but I'm always confusing AWA and SLWC, and even though you mentioned SLWC on both occasions, I still thought you meant AWA. I think I need to take a break from Territory Daze for a while. xD I apologise because in that case, you've been right all along. One of the reasons I first installed the events (both monthly and weekly) is to stop the AI from creating their own so although it isn't strictly realistic, I think I'll leave them in there anyway because I'd rather have them than "AWA Battle Cry" (EDIT: See?! I'm not going to change it because it proves what I'm saying, I even confuse AWA and SLWC when I'm admitting that I mistake them all the time. xD) or something stupid like that.

Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying it. Hopefully I'll regain my sharpness at some point and there'll be no more confusion. xD

Yeah, the one thing about this mod from the very start is that the NWA feds go after everyone, and they are the heaviest on offering Exclusive PPA deals I've ever seen in a mod. I don't know if you have a bunch of fed owners set to large rosters and sharks on getting people. It is Hollywood this time instead of PCAC doing a bunch of the Exc. PPA deals.

I would offer advice to anyone starting out with this mod. Just wait a few weeks on some of the non-wrestlers, especially managers. Once you see that they've signed an Exc. PPA deal, then just offer them PPA deals which will steal them away.

I'm losing Kent to an Exc. PPA deal, and I lost Heenan to WWWF on a Written. They aren't actually big losses as Poffo was on the bad Time Decline so he's the new CC, and I hired The Grand Wizard to replace the Brain. One thing, is his age right? It's 40 in the game, but he died in the mid-80's I thought from old age.

As for the mod quibbles I brought up, that's more for the file of "historical accuracy vs gameplay". The only thing Acting is used for is to calculate the Entertainment score so it is more "What do I want Person X's Entertainment rating to be, and how do I want to tilt that (mainly between mic and charisma)?". Again, it is fine and can be worked around easily. The attendance thing was really just for anyone out there wanting to make a mod as it would save time.

Glad you're thinking about re-evaluating the psych stats as I went with the pop>perf product as I don't think an equal fed would do as well with many of those wrestlers though I may be totally wrong. I'm used to seeing high-70's to mid-80's pysch for most of my top stars, and those are few and far between in the mod. I signed Chavo, Golden, Rocco, and Powers (not sure he's new) for the very reason you listed as they're better than a lot of the starting people.

Btw, my midcard is amazing. I had a 4-way match for the re-purposed Midwest title as the TV title. Dusty (again still the only choice as User) vs Bockwinkel vs Terry Funk vs Powers. Powers won btw because Nick signed with 2 other companies after I signed him so I was worried about him wearing out. Oh, before I forget, I think his mic skills are a little low. I mean Jericho of all people raved about his promos. Maybe just 6 more points in mic (to 85) but jump his Acting up a lot so his Entertainment rating was 80-85. And I think you need to re-think Terry Funk's Mic skills too. Go watch the CWA stuff he did with Lawler. Granted, he'll probably grow into it since he's 25 which isn't the case for the 35 yr old Bockwinkel.

Last thing that was probably just a horrid roll by the game but I brought in Jerry Valiant (Guy Mitchell) to team with Jimmy, and they got the Zero chemistry note. And yeah, I assume the gimmicks thing is just bad luck as none of them should conflict with that product. Again, that's a 2016 game fix.

I believe so. I found two different date of births for him (June, 1929 and August, 1926) and I went with the former as it didn't come from Wikipedia. Either way, he'd only be in the mid-to-late-50s in 1983 when he died.

Again, I'll be re-evaluating statistics on a whole (not just psychology) so this is something I'll look at later.

Yeah, I can't recall giving Guy Mitchell chemistry with either Jimmy or Johnny Valiant because although they teamed together quite frequently as the third member of the Valiant clan, I don't think they really had that much chemistry together; not like Jimmy and Johnny had anyway. I'd be more inclined to give him chemistry with Johnny rather than Jimmy if I was to add some between them though. They teamed together more often if memory serves me right as Jimmy became more and more of a star in his own right. I'll take a look at it.

I am really enjoying 2.0 version.

God I didnt know wrestlers of JCP were so old.

Now I understand why they needed Ric Flair or Ricky Steamboat.

Btw, speaking of entertainment skills,

In fact there are not too many great entertainers in the mod,

compared to number of great in-ring performers ofcourse.

I think Mammoth did this because this is how it was back then, so its fair.

But in term of 'game', there are only a few wrestlers that can get over by entertainment.

For example, Nick Bockwinkel or even Billy graham is not a 'great' entertainer at the time. And Mr.Fuji will be a terrible manager with low entertainment skills.

In the other hand, there are so many 'great' menacing wrestlers(over 80 or even 90), so it is easy to get over by using menace angle.

I'm glad to hear it as you've put a lot of effort into Version 2.0 so if anyone should enjoy it, it should be you. :) Considering I went so far back, it amazes me just how many "old" people there are in the moderation (I know what a stupid statement that is, but I'm sticking with it) because you automatically assume that pretty much everyone you know is going to be young but they're not young, they're just younger. xD

As it's been pointed out time and time again, I've probably been a little strict with Nick Bockwinkel but Billy Graham's entertainment statistics are a little low because he hadn't become the "Superstar" yet but should have plenty of room to develop. I hate to keep repeating myself, but hopefully a lot of the statistic issues will be fixed for the next update because that is certainly one of things I plan to concentrate on perhaps leaning a little more towards making a more enjoyable game now a lot of the realism is done and dusted.

It looks like you've got Dino Bravo's picture for Gino Brito (it looks like it's from this picture of both of them: http://www.wrestleprints.com/zc/images//wrestleprints/BritoBravoInRing8x102.jpg)

I made a cut for Brito using that image if you like:

http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r219/jkeats/GinoBrito_zps75747449.jpg

Nice catch, I don't know how none of us have caught it before. xD That's my bad, I always seemed to struggle when there was more than one person in the picture even if they didn't look anything alike. There's nothing particularly wrong with your cut, the border was just a little thin by the looks of it so I redid it. It's 3px for future reference, but thank you nonetheless...

Ah! I was trying to eyeball it and couldn't tell if it was 2 or 3.

As for the ages of wrestlers in the mod, it is amazing isn't it? I mean, back in the day you wouldn't even be considered for a serious main event spot until you were in your 30's (with the possible exception of someone like Jack Brisco who was a college standout but even he was 32 when he first won the NWA title. Even later someone like Austin was in his mid thirties when he first got that main event super push).

Also, I thought of another couple of guys for the update: Tony Atlas, Ron Bass, Ray Candy, Leroy Brown

That's another suggestion on my list for the next version. If a tag team has at least 20 (I could be convinced 40) experience pre-set, they can't have anything worse than neutral chemistry. Either that or the chemistry should be revealed at the start. I mean they've wrestled enough to know if they suck together or not. Wasn't saying you should pre-set chemistry as that should be saved only for the elite (big-named) tag teams.

Though I might want to add that if you're a tag team guy (on 3 or 5 tag teams with 20 experience), that should mitigate how poor a chemistry they could have. I mean they were tag-team guys for a reason.

Okay, The Grand Wizard always struck me as way older than that. Such a shame then that he died so young.

Isn't the way the game is set up that if a tag team is set as a team and has at least a C in experience they won't have bad chemistry as it is? For some reason I thought I remembered something like that

got a question. i know there was a FAQ that was on the site explaining the positives and negatives of the dirt sheets.

anyway, i am getting a lot of "(-) for holding back slightly". isn't this based on psychology? and i get it with Verne Gagne and other top notch guys.

could anyone help me with this and also lead me to the place where i can find the FAQ that was in the forums a while back?

Every worker holds back slightly on tv shows and weekly events because they're not as important as monthly or annual events.

Is this the thread you're referring to?

http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=522978

ok, cause i see that everyone on my card is holding back.

and yes that is the article. going to print it out right now! thank you
