TEW16: Your Big Project?

Recommended Posts

With the masterpiece TEW16 coming out soon, have you guys thought of what your big long term game/project will be?

For me on TEW10 My long term game/project that I always went back to was the 1987 game I had as WWF.

For TEW16 my long term project is likely going to be 1987. I'm sticking with this one again as I have several grumbles with my booking long term with my 1987 WWF save. I'm looking to correct those mistakes when rebooking on that save in TEW16. I want to have a solid division between the Hulkamania era and New Generation era as on TEW10 it kinda merged together with Hulk gone earlier and Brts rise being a lot earlier.

I want to have and maintain a great Tag division - more so than on TEW10.

I want to evolve the divisions in a more of a realistic and structured way than I did on TEW 10. No lightweight Division until the New Generation has been set.

No to hog all of the really talented guys unless I can fit them into solid long term feuds and be featured. More rotation of guys in and out and a smaller roster... will make bringing in guys more memorable.

Smaller roster so I can get through shows a bit quicker and eventually get well into the 2000's with the rise of Punk,Bryan, Joe, Nakamura.

Create a legacy of special events and tournaments. Rumbles, KOTR, Tag KOTR, World Cup series (WWF v CMLL v NJPW etc)

Not to just simply book people highly mostly because of stats.

Going to try and create an alliance between the top non NWA companies. WWF, NJPW, CMLL, WCCW?, AWA? have two titles (A world title) and a title to feature young guys. Hopefully tournaments can be set up between alliance members. May host several specials a year for the alliance.

I'm hoping to finish my own created mod and really make a strong effort to play it out for a long period. I sadly will be missing a lot of pics, as I don't know how to do cuts and the cuts thread is pretty quiet. But I am working on bios and such for all the workers. So it makes it more interesting.

My first game will be a raw RTG with the new 2016 CVerse....my next game hopefully will be a new and improved CV97 but if it doesn't come out by the time I'm done with the RTG then I will alter my own version of CV97 to accommodate the new mechanics.

<p>It's been a tradition for me to play as the WWF from 1993 onwards. I make my own mod for that, too. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Lots of stuff in 2016 makes me excited to play this again, eventhough I have done it so, so many times before.</p><p> </p><p>

But also, the backstage features make me consider a WCW playthrough, as well.</p><p> </p><p>

I was hoping for the ability to tape multiple episodes of a show at once, but since we got the EWR feature to turn off left off show complaints, I'll probably use that to simulate the business model where the big stars were not featured on every show, since they always taped multiple episodes, and the main work happened at house shows. And with only a 1 hour weekly show, it's hard to fit everyone in there, anyway.</p><p> </p><p>

Also, the TV specials excite me since I'll have 5 PPVs a year, but I'll now be able to book some big TV shows in-between PPV months, and do some shows where all the stars are present and stuff like that.</p><p> </p><p>

Very exciting stuff. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>I will start a save with two promotions, Japanese giants BHOTWG and the custom mid south based Revolution Rasslin' Alliance with an evolved TWL, AAFW and SCCW product that also have some modern and daredevil influences. It will be unique characters, memorable gimmicks, violent angles, old-school rasslin', fast paced highflying action, bloody hardcore cage wars and hard-hitting shoot style matches.</p><p> </p><p>

The workers that have been submitted are pretty amazing and the creative masterminds that have been helping me with turning some of my rough/basic ideas into characters are totally awesome. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>To spice up the thread: who are you planning to set as your Company Figurehead?</p><p> </p><p>

If I ever do the WCW playthrough, my Figurehead will without a doubt be Scott Steiner. I feel he has all the credentials: he has wrestled a lot of countries, comes from a highly educated university, isn't fat..</p><p> </p><p>

I'd say he has roughly a 141,66% chance of becoming my Company Figurehead.</p>

<p>In terms of figure heads of my big save. </p><p> </p><p>

Also factoring in the new backstage features.. I will have Hogan as the figurehead untill 1990/91. From 90/91- 1994 it will be Bret. 1994-1998 will be between HBK and Austin. </p><p> </p><p>

I'm also planning on giving Guys like Piper and Ted Dibiase a run with the top title in the late 80's. instead of waiting until 1993 when they are nearing there sell by date in terms of peak performance.</p><p> </p><p>

Hogan will be vulnerable and not the all conquering guy as he really was. he'll have a few good runs with the title but spend periods out the picture.. may doing his monster of the month stick and helping to elevate Upper Midcard guys up to the Main event spot whilst guys like Piper can have runs. </p><p> </p><p>

Also I wont be keeping Hogan, Flair etc around much longer once my New Gen starts. The product will become slightly more about performance and a little less about over the top characters. It will still be a SE product but taken a little bit more seriously. It will be the respect for wrestling era that will lead into the Attitude era.</p>

<p>If past is prologue, my longest games will take place in real-world mods: Genadi's Golden Age (1987) & Montreal Aftermath (1997) and Hive's War of the Worlds (1995) are the three I've enjoyed the most. With TEW 2016's new Alliance features, though, I can see a lot of fun in having a long-term game in a pre-WrestleMania I mod, working to keep the WWF from becoming the juggernaut it became.</p><p> </p><p> Winter8905, sometimes I'm in the same mindset re: not hogging talented wrestlers, keeping a leaner roster, only holding on to workers I intend to use in hot storylines, etc. I can see the advantages of that for getting through longer games. Other times, however, I'm more in the mood to play hyper-aggressively, bloating my roster with anyone my rivals could make use of. Very eager to see how TEW 2016 responds to each type of play.</p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="TeemuFoundation" data-cite="TeemuFoundation" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41104" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>To spice up the thread: who are you planning to set as your Company Figurehead?</div></blockquote>If I'm playing the WWF in 1987, then Jake Roberts or (if I can get him) Ric Flair. If I'm playing the WWF in the 90's, I'd love to see if I can make a figurehead out of Owen Hart.

<p>1983: Keeping WWF without the Hulkster (Probably Richmania, Windham-mania, or Ginomania or Blanchardmania or whatever-mania that comes first) or either keeping the Hulkster in the AWA, keeping good relations with the NWA and kill off the circus before Wrestlemania begins.</p><p> </p><p>

1987: Keeping alive AWA or play CCW, leave the NWA and try going national or playing WCWA and going striving until i'm enough strong to go straight against the WWF.</p><p> </p><p>

1991: Making a tag team between The Berzerker and Ludvig Borga in WWF or making a tag team between Ludvig Borga and Dave Finlay in WCW.</p><p> </p><p>

1993: Keep ECW in NWA and take tradition to the extreme, taking out Coralluzo out of our way. Absorb SMW in the process and have it as a brand (territory).</p>

<p>It's been 2-3 years since I've played TEW, so the first step is probably going to be to take a local promotion to ease back into things.</p><p> </p><p>

Ultimately I'm hoping someone releases a 1970s mod for TEW16... would love to create a fed in the 1970s to compete against the NWA, AWA and WWWF.</p>

<p>I wanna have a zero-like run with the 94 mod, but, since I don't know when I'll get my hands on 2016, I started that baby up now on 13.</p><p> </p><p>

I've wanted to try a longer modern day WWE save now that we'll have more control over developmental companies, so I have my eye on a Jan 2013 game or May 2014 game.</p>
