Can somebody sell me on Joey Morgan, as someone who's not played the Cornellverse a massive amount before?

By his stats and bio (and the fact he's NA Champion) I get that he's supposed to be a big deal, but I think I'm missing the hook with him. His render and gimmick just don't make him stand out on the SWF roster. Considering microphone and acting are two of his weakest stats, I'm guessing he'd be best off as a serious no-nonsense wrestler, but a- I'm kind of going that direction with Remo already and b- that still doesn't make him stand out particularly. What am I missing?

He has good Star Quality so he will likely get better. His Entertainment skills aren't awesome, but they aren't terrible and if you put him in angles, he will almost certainly improve. His personality has gotten worse, which I've viewed as an in-universe way to keep him from being too flawless as a worker.

Now as a character, he started out with DAVE - the Cverse's equivalent of ECW, basically. He then joined TCW and became a top headliner for them. Now he's joined the SWF and made an immediate impact. There are dozens of directions you could go with the character, but I don't think its too hard to fill in the blanks. A relatively easy way is to find a real world worker to connect him to. Definitely not hard to think of some really talented workers who weren't/aren't amazing on the microphone. Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles, Bret Hart....

The World Is Watching 2016 is about to happen and on the same day right before the event, I lose a bidding war for Remo to SOTBPW. I had Remo and face Rogue doing a filler feud while Valiant gained the #1 contender's spot to go over Remo at Supreme Challenge. This is one of those times I wish I could actually talk to the worker because the long term plan was to have Remo go over Jack Bruce clean in his next long feud and I feel like that would've been enough to keep him.

So now my World Title picture is a mess. I'm about to put the belt on a transitional face champion and both my other main event heels (Crippler and Marat Khoklov) are locked into the Jack Bruce story that is the only one I have planned further than this year's Supreme Challenge. I don't want to add the title to that story because getting it off Bruce would be far too much of a pain. I have a contract offer out for Rich Money (Which doesn't make since according to his bio but whatever) and might slot him in a feud leading up to SC.

So anyone got any ideas? Valiant/Rogue is a feud that sounds like its been done but maybe having it over the world title is a new wrinkle. Rogue turned face fairly recently so the turn back might not go well.

I'm really into SWF at the moment (and for the first time, too). I made the seemingly mandatory Khoklov hire and was excited about him, but I've yet to get a single good match out of the guy. Is that common?

I started him with a long fued with Skull DeBones and the feud was pretty hot after a month of dueling Menace promos. I decided to try out the Epic agent note and the match bombed. I chalked it up the note and continued the fued. they blew off the feud with a standard singles match and only got a 74 rating despite it being a hot feud.

I thought it might have been DeBones not having much in way of momentum and not being the best worker, so I moved Khoklov into a fued with valiant that I expected would be what catapulted Valiant into the main event and the title scene. That turned out pretty well after they feuded for two months and stacked up a huge array of 100 rated angles. Both had very positive momentum going into the blowoff, Khoklov's popularity was 90 and Valiant's was 82, but the match ended up with like a 75 rating. I'm able to do better than that with upper midcarders in a random tag match.

I did bump up modern to medium to get rid of the penalty to high flying, my product is still Pop > perf but now a little less so. Is that hurting my match ratings? My workers are all getting over but I've only pulled a few 90+ rated matches.

He puts on great angles but his matches were pretty meh. I added him to the Crippler/Bruce feud to extend it to Supreme Challenge but his matches tagging with Crippler were in the 80's with Bruce carrying the performance.

I'm in November now and he's gained more than 10 points in basics/psych/consistency in that short time. I put the SWF title on him and he's feuding with Rogue and they're putting on matches in the 90's even with dirty finishes. I've had Khoklov working with tons of different guys and he pretty much only does great with guys that are going to carry high ratings against anyone. His best match was a fatal four way with Gilmore, James and Crippler.

He's great for national battles and he's great for angles while he improves letting someone else carry him. I wanted to have a monster heel have a good run since Remo got stolen by SOTBPW so that's why he's got the title. Title prestige is definitely bumping up his stock right now.

I am almost at year 2 with SWF and just hit Global. Marat was one of my first signings as well. He is quite horrible in ring for me but his stat power just carries the angles and storylines. I have found I typically get the best match out of him if I use the storytelling road agent note

Never really been an SWF guy, was more a CZCW type guy in fact theyre the only company ive ever probably made it over 3 years as back in TEW2013, but now I feel like tackling SWF and I've started with a storyline I actually quite am enjoy.

Eric Eisen is frustrated so he decided to pay his way to victory, Eisen and right hand man "Money" Monty Trescarde, Paul Hungtindon and his newest tag partner Spencer Eisen(Spencer Spade) and the returning Monster Marat Khoklov and their first big enemy is Mikey Lau, I'm hoping to use this feud to elevate him and another youngster if I can find the right fit as a partner and someone worthy of the push.

I didn't do the Marat thing and I've been fine. Bear Bekowski and Primus Allen (and Scythe, though he's taking a little longer) have grown into perfectly fine upper card monsters with way better match ratings then I'd ever get out of Marat.

Bear left me for TCW but Primus Allen is currently killing it. He is at a 90 overall popularity. His entertainment skills are up in the 90's. He is currently a heel but I am thinking of giving him a run as a face.

I also signed up Hellion and he is also up in the 90's pop as my new monster.

I ran a similar storyline. I had the Eisen Empire stable which was Eric Eisen, Spencer Spade, Davis Wayne Newton and Marat. I pulled an Andre/Dibiase where I had Marat win the World Title only to hand it over to Eric.

My main foil was Valiant though as he is the figurehead for my company.

Even if you put him on an events only contract or literally do nothing with him, the value in National Battles immediately moves any of them to #1 in the US.

He's not inexpensive.

If I remember correctly, the SWF is already at #1 of the big three in Star Quality. So he isn't completely required. The SWF is also in a better position than USPW to put on good quality shows so its not that hard to finish above USPW and TCW. And there are some midcard guys with great SQ who can be moved up. They won't have the SQ/Menace combo of Marat but with better Entertainment and in-ring skills.

Not that money is tight with the SWF, but if you are aiming to start up your own broadcaster to have a global presence and compete with USPW in that regard, that Marat contract will make that take much more time.

Fair enough. My first SWF save I had him insert himself in the Bruce/Crippler feud because that felt like it needed to have the blow off at Supreme Challenge and Marat provided a nice roadblock for Bruce on that road. Working with Bruce that much probably help push his ratings a fair amount as well.

Having Remo leave for SOTBPW made Marat worth a lot more since I had no one that was ready to take the place of dominant heel. Allen and Bekowski will get there but neither is ready yet and Marat/Valiant at my next Supreme Challenge 2017 is going to be pretty huge with Marat's name value and Valiant's first World title. Replacing Marat with someone like Allen or Bear wouldn't have the same oomph for a huge main event/story.

Thinking about it, if Remo was still with the company, Khoklov would have literal nothing to do but job to guys like Jimmy Hernandez on their way up the card. He's sitting in the midcard and will stay there for awhile since the heels are starting to take over the upper reaches of the card.
