Rereading the journal and an idea occurred to me about company relationships.

If A owns B, can they impose a relationship of B is at war with A or does that come under the restricted relationship combinations?

I’m just thinking about running a late 90s/early 00s real life game and WWE buying out WCW but keeping them running as an independent entity that remains at war with WWE.

I’m assuming it is too counter-intuitive to ownership to have your asset ‘officially’ or genuinely at war with you but thought it was an interesting prospect...

Or am I misunderstanding your intention?

To Adam or Derek,

Isn't there a difference in the way money scales in 2020, to more accurately reflect real life? Feel like I read that. If so, that'd probably cause havoc in any 2016 mid converted for 2020? Or would it level out since the mod would be going through a conversion?

Obviously if they ever recovered enough to be a threat, the company that owns the other can call a halt to the war but I like, conceptually, the idea of paying to maintain an enemy that keeps your own game sharp. And that’s probably why I’m not a businessman.

The converter will handy money conversions between games too. But obviously anyone working on mods and the like should be checking out numbers for themselves to make sure they still work for whatever the scenario is. :)

Adam you should open up the individual company threads that you locked. Seeing as that it's almost time and you made the new forum for tew20

I can open them when the game is released. It's pointless to open them before that given that all you can do before then is to speculate and we already have a thread for that.

Question about products: can we set the expected match/angle ratio for A) Each product individually, and B) for each brand individually? I didn't understand this from the Journal since it talked about match and angle focus - but I'm not sure if it meant the angle vs. match ratio per show, or the rating system of "main event is 90%, rest of the card is 10%" etc.

Oi how dare you disgrace my QLD heritage. I think it was 8 hours when I posted.

I’m also in Queensland, but I’m pretty resigned to the fact that we’ll probably have to wait until Friday morning to get the game, depending on what Timezone it’s released into the world. Although... Adam’s announcement last night at 6pm our time saying “the game drops tomorrow” has given me another slight sliver of hope!

Either way, I’m angling for tomorrow off work, my new mod is ready to go and I can’t WAIT!

Starting to get slightly worried that BCG isn't gonna make it. It just makes too much sense with the owner and his number 2 both being in their 60's and with the tsunami it being easy to call it quits. I'd be sad if they were gone but that's a bunch of interesting characters that would be out there in Japan. Getting excited!!!

One thing Ive been thinking about, and I think it's likely to happen in this years game due to one of the updates, is that it would be really cool to see indie workers go different places to work. Like a random UK guy going to Australia, American to Europe, Japanese to Canada, etc.

This was sort of already a thing, albeit pretty minor. Workers would "become active in a new area," so they could definitely move around a bit if they were to get hired within that new area. I always shortlist a ton of workers so I would get emails semi-frequently about workers getting new areas.

Will there still be penalties for heel vs heel/face vs face?

I know it logically makes sense for companies that take that stuff into consideration, but there have been face vs face major feuds in mainstream companies and these same disposition matches have become more and more popular over the years, so I was just wondering.

Yeah know it will probably be early Friday for us which is fine for me. I work Friday arvo but then have the weekend off.
